afaik, touch screen monitors only use power, display, and either USB or serial (probably USB). I'm pretty sure the USB is for touch and USB Type-A ports that are on the monitor

**SSD Considerations: **
• DRAM/HMB: DRAM/HMB is basically ram on your SSD that stores metadata (google it). An SSD without DRAM can get much slower than a HHD as it fills up. HMD allows your SSD to use your system memory for this, but not all CPUs support it. DRAM/HMB is the pretty much the most important consideration when purchasing an SSD.
• Bits per cell: SLC (1) > MLC (2) > TLC (3) > QLC (4). TLC is the norm, the more bits per cell, the less durable and fast.
• Interface: NVMe SSD> SATA SSD > HHD. Don't assume all M.2 SSDs are better than Serial ATA. NVMe drives are much faster than SATA SSDs, which are much faster than HHDs. M.2 is just the form factor, they can still be Sata drives and run slower.
• Law of Diminishing Returns: SATA SSDs with DRAM offer tangible speed improvements, but a HHD --> SATA SSD is a much bigger jump in performance than an SSD --> NVME or an NVME --> Gen 4 NVMe. Don't feel that you need to buy the newest Gen 4 NVMe, they don't offer that much more than a good Gen 3
• Brand: Don't shop for a brand, shop for the product. Some brands (AHEM Samsung) make good products but charge a premium for them.
• Speed: Faster is better, but keep in mind the Law of Diminishing Returns.
