anybody know any rx 580 i should stay away from
Msi tomahawk max or asus tuf plus gaming micro atx using ryzen 5 3600
i’ve heard the tomahawk isn’t great for the price
Both are pretty meh
I mean both are fine boards
also should i get a rx 580 or a gtx 1050ti for my buddy who doesn’t have a graphics card
yuh true
only place i'd get a 570/80 is the used market, way better value for those $100 cards
Yeah I got a nitro+ 580 for ~80$
yall think i made the right choice choosing a used mb?
as long as it isnt from a sketchy person i think it should be fine
its from the amazon warehouse and the only thing it was missing are "bonus items"
might mean some of the cables it comes with, its pretty hard to damage a mobo without completely killing it afaik
i still have 30 days to return it but i still need to get the rest of my parts in order to see if it'll work right
yeah it just doesnt come with a warranty so that'd be the only thing i'd need to replace if anything went wrong
i got for $105 and considering how out of stock everything is and the new b550s are probably going to be very limited
i didn't want to wait the whole summer just trying to get a new mb
@modern shadow he has a 500w 80+ psu and a320m-k
Used motherboard as are fine as long as their tested and have high reviews or 75+ satisfied reviews you should be fine and the returns last a good while
@mortal rampart
okok thanks
Yeah I buy em for builds sometimes
whats a good motherboard for a 3700?
ok thanks
X470 works 2
Yeah
I'm not super knowledgeable about Mobos but if you're tight on a budget get a b450 mobo
ok
Here's a good one. Most likely someone would recommend one thats somewhat better but the reviews are great
I'm still learning (:
thanks
There's the b450 tomhawk that i see being recommended a lot over here. You can check this one out as well
eh tomahawk is hella overrated
Lol true
Yeah heard it goods
But I'm not the one getting a mobo :/
Heard that the bios is a bit difficult to navigate or something through asrock
?
Not sure
I have an asrock. It's not the best bios in the wordl, but it's not too bad
Anyone know of any setup that can fit a ps4 and a PC? like a nice desk site? apart from like office depot
@stoic island
https://youtu.be/dhXxCoX0bso
We already said that you shouldn't buy Intel's i5-10400 CPU due to locked 2666MHz or 2933MHz frequencies. The challenge was to test it with tighter timings, so we did that to the extreme.

Some more material for the discussion yesterday
Tired I am
I'll watch tomorrow
Hi guys. What is the best GPU gigabyte rx 5700 xt or XFX rx 5700 xt?
@twilit salmon whats your temps with the fan pointing at it
Haven’t checked but temps without it were at like 60°F on COD
Actually I think it’s in Celsius as it definitely gets hotter than what 60°F feels like
you know idle
Idk the temps I don’t know how to check
you have cpuid hwmonitor
?
its how you check temps
Oh
I’ll check it when I get home tomorrow since it’s my brothers birthday and currently don’t have access to PC
I screenshotted so I’ll pm you when I have results if that’s okay
sounds good
Anyone know a good starter pc build to get me going? Budget would be nice. I need to be able to edit, stream, and of course, game
how much
At most 1.5k. I don’t know if I want to game game on pc yet. Idk if I’ll like it
@little osprey well you can get a pretty nice pc with that money
Plus you can play alot of games with an xbox controller too.. options
Maybe 3700x 2060 super for the streaming and 32 gigs
Of ram
Or since you dont know if your gaming you could get a cheaper gpu and if you want invest into a better cooler
Also psu prices are wack rn so that psu should be fine but if you could wait there are better options
So I have a really old graphics card and I wanted to get a 2060 super. But my power supply has been running louder then usual lately. It’s a 600w EVGA 80+ bronze. Should I be worried it could fry the new graphics card? If so should I upgrade the gpu or pay first
*psu
PSU fan will scale with temps and considering it's getting to hotter weather it may just be temps
Generally a louder fan in a PSU isn't a sign the PSU will die. It may be a sign that the fan is starting to fail. But if it is that sign and noise is only a slight hum/very slight rattle then the fan probs has quite a fair bit of life left. A large rattling sound means fan may not last all too long. I wouldn't recommend replacing the fan yourself but you can either get a professional replacement or slap a fan at the top of the PSU for airflow as that'll be the only issue a dead fan will cause
Any pros know a beast gaming/recording pc build under $1500 (so I could run 140+ FPS while recording on a single pc
How about buying a capture card?
@tepid basalt they want a PC to game and record lol, not a dedicated recording pc
Huh? So u need another pc for the capture card?
So I've been misunderstanding how it works all this time...
lol
but ye for capture card you basically conenct an hdmi to the capture card on another pc to capture and encode
for single pc, a nvidia gpu and using nvenc is best bet
I see
1500 can get you a pretty darn solid system
I'm still wondering why the world had to go insane right when I wanted to build a new PC...
hello
We have a customer. Budget is 5000 dollars, no holds barred.
I'll also find some LTT build guides
I have a high budget yes. I have a lot of stuff to consider here before I buy the best computer.
Yes. Have you heard of Linus Tech Tips?
No I have not.
Look them up and watch a few videos 🙂
what are you going to use it for?
Hardcore gaming, streaming, downloads in the background,
What sort of internet do you have at your place?
Currently my download speed is 15mbps and my upload is trash but it should be upgraded here soon
Okay, you're going to be bottle necked by your internet for downloads in the background
Please do get better internet
my friend got a MOBO from newegg and it's DOA, will they replace it?
If it's doa, they should. Talk to the official newegg support
yeah they should replace it
Odin, do you need wifi or can you do ethernet?
I'm hardwired to my router if that's what you mean?
RGB?
Like the glowing lights on a tower?
Yah
Yes
yea like this
^
Yup
You know what? I'm putting in 3866MHz ram, because I can. What rad do you guys think?
Actually 4000 is only 20 dollars more 🙂
This is fun
You know my budget. Go ham
Why would you raid 0 the boot drive
thats scary
On that budget I'd go with a 480GB 905p optane for boot
dont put boot drives in raid usually
Don't put ssd's in raid 0 usually
Raid scary
I have a separate nvme for boot
For bulk data storage on sata drives it can be ok
But it increases seek latency a lot
Yeah, I won;t do raid though. It's hard to setup with diminidhing returns
What motherboard/cpu?
for gaming and budget really isnt an issue wouldnt a 10900k be better? its still decent at multicore things
Thoughts?
10900k is still marginally better I guess
imagine a 3950xt
Imagine a 4950x
barrow makes decent rads right?
Ask Hei
If we go AMD though, Odin would be able to swap in a 4950x when it's released without any hassle. You want to do that?
@cursive wharf barrow makes good rads right?
tru but you can also drop 11th gen intel in, we dont know performance for either so its a toss up
Yeah. my money's on zen3 though, especially if the 5nm rumors pan out
intels 11th gen i9 might only be 12 cores tho
and for gaming, streaming, downloading in the background, and a possible trend of newer games taking advantage of all these new cores, higher core counts might be better
zen3 could be upwards of twenty+....
so setting him up to snag zen 3 with 32 cores? might be a good idea lol
yuh games will take advantage of the more cores
but also the 10600k tuned beats the 3950x in basically every game so
the only reason games use up to 4 cores on average is because that's all that was usually available
ipc+clock speeds are really whats going to matter, and 32 cores mainstream would kill tr
Beats an untuned 3950x
Unless of course tr also gets more cores
10600k with decent memory tuning and cache tuning still beats a tuned 3950x, and iirc amd said they had no desire to go beyond 16 cores for zen3
Maybe not thousands. We're getting close to physical limitation for transistor size, and CPU cores need a considerable amount more overhead silicon than GPU cores
@azure sapphire If we ever say anything here that you want to know what it means, don't hesitate to ask
lol yeah
i just gave the 10600k as an example
i see
of course, does he want to spend the time learning how to tune it, or does anyone want to spend a day tuning it with him?
the point is more cores dont mean better gaming performance rn
This is true
It will make the stream and background processes better off though
What's a 10600k?
I mid rangish but decent intel CPU
it just released like a week ago
It's pretty good
But not the most powerful out there
Another question: Will you be doing any video editing?
New case!
Depends on if I feel like recording for youtube or not.
okay so here what i came up with https://pcpartpicker.com/list/23RXtp
Lets just say yes I'll end up doing video editing.
i mean yeah
Are those capture cards you have there?
powerful lol
Oh also music stuff.
why are their 3 cpu coolers listed?
Recording, editing, stuff like that
Okay if video editing do you want to throw more cores at it?
the g12 is an aio bracket, the second rad is for gpu
dope
yuh if you really want the looks
Do we want to do an aio for the GPU? Remember no prior experience
but also its still like $1k under budget, so when the 2080 ti gets outclassed in a few generations or next gen, you have money to upgrade it with the original budget
yeah i didnt know how much looks cared, you can easily just take it out and pick a different gpu like the msi trio x (better cooling)
at LEAST
yea
also, why that motherboard? i still know very little about z490 boards
because even the highest end builds eventually get outclassed by cheaper parts, so spending all the budget without money to upgrade is kinda a no for me
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dPfgcq
Rough hack for the AMD side
@viral ore i dont really know much about z490 but it looked good overall
It's a bit pricier, but I figured might as well throw in a heavy psu for future expansion at this budget
Also, you know, 4000MHz ram
hopefully gn or somebody makes a z490 mobo review so people know which are good
yeah
Could probably trust the usual good lines, but....
dunno
I honestly just threw the first mobo I found from the list
ok ok, imma do one
Why would you get 4000mhz memory on zen2
Jeez ddr4 5k support on that board
Unless you plan to set manual speed/timings
For the update to zen3
I have that mobo, it's nice
I guess that's fine as long as you set manual clock to 3600, or 3800 with an FCLK OC to 1900mhz
Get 2x16 if you're going to do that
All of asus /GB x570 is daisy chain
2x16 coming right up
Do you guys know what fixes FPS speed I’m kinda new to pc
@stable imp What are your system specs?
Can you get the part number for the cpu and gpu? You should be able to find them in the task manager
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/M7v7Jb
2x16 version
👍
also 1600w psu
Just a 1200W
It's like 100 dollars more and will handle whatever updates he throws in there
This whole system is overkill tbh
I was going for a killer system now that can be upgraded without any hassle to an even more killer system down the line
I'll eat my shoe if they actually build this
I'm thinking it's gonna happen
okay now he better build it
I'm not

@stable imp Any news on the parts?
Do we have a current price on this build?
@deep skiff What was yours?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/M7v7Jb
The one I have here is 4000, but I went overkill on a few of the parts for future proofing
like 3900 with the gpu aio and 3700 without
this one would look sick
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wDQ2Mc
Both are without a monitor and other peripherals though
and obviously vertical mounted gpu
As long as I have extra to spend on monitors
Might want to have a slightly bigger rad
what kind of monitors are you thinking?
really big ones?
high refresh rate
im thinking 1440p, 24 inch, 165hz
Need a dual setup
what about an ultrawide monitor?
pls no
Can't go too big my desk is only so big
probably 1440p144hz ips / 1080p240hz and a secondary 60hz 1440/1080p
running 2 22inch monitors right now. Filla up the desk pretty much
What monitors do you have right now?
old ones.
also finding good monitors that are smaller than 24 is gonna be really hard fyi
so, would you want to continue using those as secondary monitors and just get one new one?
That would be a good plan
no i need both to be replaced
Are they fritzy?
they run off VGA ports and dont have the HDMI
Oh
Do they have anything but VGA?
DVI
DVI should work
Use displayport
Meh id rather upgrade tbf
Okay
15?
Older than that
more like 25
displayport>literally every other port
or do you mean it was obsolete 15 years ago?
I know nothing about monitors, so I'll let you guys handle them
because i mean kinda
Will you need a new keyboard or mouse?
Check the pins in #old-monitors-and-tv for resources on monitors
Yeah, that;s all I have to go on though. I actually have some experience with parts
i just stole all those links lol
Granted, I've never worked with consumer parts this powerful
Do you have a preferred keycap?
?
and keyswitch
That monitor's kinda old tech, for gaming at that budget, check out the LG gl850, asus xg279q - theo has one
Hey Theo, we're talking about you
27 inch is too big
What's keyswitch and keycap?
27" at 2k is ideal IME - but everything monitor is subjective
1080p I'd go 24 or lower, 4k I'd get 32"
The little switches that go inside you keyboard for when you press the keys
no, too big for his/her desk
They change how it feels
I type at 50 WPM so anything that makes the keys not bulky and help with my typing
What keyboard do you have right now?
I'd get something like this https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Premium-Single-Monitor-Stand/dp/B00MIBN16O
I use two of the HP version
Find the best monitor arm by monitor count, mount type, color and price on Amazon.
I'm always hitting extra keys. A standard dell issued one
it's too bulky for my liiking
Do you have a microcenter close to where you live?
God no
@azure sapphire by bulky do you mean too many keys?
No I mean too close together
So not being able to test out the swithces will be interesting...
I like a spaced out keyboard
well any mechanical keyboard would have the keys next to each other so probably a membrane keyboard
Would you prefer easy to press keys or keys with a bit of resistance?
easy by far. something to get my wpm up
Depending on your typing style, you can actually sometimes get faster speeds on a higher resistance key baord
Typists generally like blues
I usually get around 40-60. Blues are amazing
why isnt the meshify c on pcpp
Add it custom
idk how lol
Custom part at the bottom. You paste the link and it usually works
Oh, that's right. You have to be logged in
heck
Supposedly it's a security thing
Can someone help me
Maybe
@viral ore you might've had the compatibility thing on and that case isn't compatible
no, really
i turned off compatability filter and just searched for meshify
the only thing that showed up was the S2
yeah
i just dont know what power supply to get
and people are telling me to get a cheaper 2060s or a 2070s
@viral ore would i need a bios update
no
@viral ore get rid of best buy they out of stock
yeah im working on it
yeah right now
I've yet to see best buy be in stock
how would i know if i disabled it
ok i made a few tweaks
wasnt sure about case, but if you like the meshify c then its fine
its just expensive
well, i actually really like the meshify c, but its like 100 bux
yeah
imma look
P2 has a longer warranty for cheaper
and has better write endurance
but is slower
wait
no, the P2 has worse write endurance nvm
so what m.2 should i get
this
the MP34 was only like a few dollars more
it has a shorter warranty, but it shouldnt fail after 3 years, let alone 5
Don’t you just love when Mirco center when they don’t give you a e receipt and you have to return a believed power supply
@viral ore is the silicon power one good
just get the MP34
its a solid drive
its worth the extra
the only silicon power m.2 worth buying is the A80
however, the cheapest A80 is currently more than both the P2 and MP34
but is it better
no
$60 seems to cheap
@cloud drum I've got the same cooler, ram, and case. Nice.
yes, its one of the cheapest reliable psus right now
it has a gimmicky name, but if it works it works
should i get a gtx 1650 or rx 570 for my buddy with a prebuilt
hmmm
the listing on amazon is sold by someone with 68% positive feedback
i do not like that
he’s new to pc stuff so i don’t wanna get him something with driver issues, and i’ve heard there’s been driver issues with amd cards recently but idk if that’s resolved
the rx 570 is like 3 years old
ok?
so there are no driver issues
iirc it’s a thermaltake 500w 80+ white
i haven’t actually seen the system, just know the specs :/
cpu?
i was looking at this one
you can get them on ebay for much less
should i go second hand?
i will pick you one
570 can go for around 130 new lol
yikes
1650s > 580 > 570 iirc
Eh prices prob increased
1650s is a really nice value for money card
what kind of io is in that card?
Nah actual company
ah alrighty
what are some good case fans
Arctic p12 120mm p14 140mm
anything noctua
Are the p12 quiet
Yes
i mean, if they didnt they wouldnt be suggested to you
anyone got good specs for budget pc abt $450-500 range? don’t know if i’m cutting corners where i should to make up for my gpu. thoughts?
We were actually just now having fun with budget builds 🙂 It's definitely quite possible. Do you have any parts you can reuse?
no i meant to be asking for good parts for a build i that price range
anything other than optiplex? i want to actually build it from scratch
Need help, If my nvme is showing in bios but doesn't let me set it to boot priority.(im building my first pc)
How do I set it
What motherboard do you have?
It should be bootable... There's an operating system installed on the ssd?
@storm wagon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N7TMIL7 Here's a 2016 model for $760
Will that work?
It's from 2016 instead of 2013
so why its cheaper
Cheaper than what? The newer models?
no i mean why this model is cheaper on amazon
Than where?
amazon
What are you comparing it too?
The one from newegg has an SSD and is newer
ok
i am getting you just tell me the best deal with good feature model
i will buy it
you helped me a lot
thanks
The words "best deal" and "mac" don't really go together, but the amazon link I sent should do pretty decently for your workload. It might be a bit slow to startup, but once it's on it should be fine.
Glad I could help!
yes i do email ,browsing , but i used 3 party app like chat support crm that kind of stuff for my ecomm websites
so keep that thing in mind
so now for which model i should go
The chat support is just voice and text?
yes text mostly
and some email maketing app
and crm applications
all i have to use
Are you able to say which crm apps?
means customer relationship application like 3 party app by zen desk ,drift
klaviyo
etc
zen desk and drift should both work fine.
so everything will be on in my desktop
Haven't heard about klaviyo, but I imagine it would be okay too
It's not the most powerful desktop in the world, but as long as you don't need to do any heavy video editing it should be fine
ok but i want a fast one
i can spend 100 more
also i want to buy 1 marshal speaker and 1 apple watch
Do you have additional budget for those?
ok
The imac is a reasonably fast system, it's just not a threadripper.
ok
should i go with the one on amazon you recomend
or any other option you can tell
Might as well. Amazon has pretty good return policies, and the rest of the sites are more or less the same price
Read over the reviews real quick first if you want, but you should be good to go
No problem. Best of luck!
but it not come with magic mouse and keyboard
i can spend more money can you suggest any other deal
Do you already have keyboard?
no
not wireless but
Wireless keyboards aren't really all that great from my experience
sale
my budget isnt low
could say a 3175X and SLI TItan RTX's are good
yeah but I stutter a lot on games and Idk why
I have ethernet so I dont think thats the issue
possibly you're only using single channel ram
explain
I dont have a lot of knowledge tbh jsut watch videos and read articles
hmmm let me look
I think its just one stick so ig that could be the issue
thats the culprit then
DDR4 stands for double data rate 4.
to get double data rate, you need two stick of memory.
CPu's benifit from having high speed ram too, running at high clocks, with low latency.
you'r best upgrade you should be looking for is a kit of 2x8GB DDR4-3200 CL15 or CL16, or a kit of 2x8GB DDR4-3600 CL16 or CL18
if you're only using a single stick of ram, say, you're using a 1x8GB DDR4-2133, that ram stick is only running at 1066mhz, since it doesnt have a partner
you upgrade your GPU based on what monitor you have
im working this summer and making good money so I was thinking I could just upgrad everything
I have a 200hz sceptre monitor
i'd get another stick of ram first and see if that fixes the issue
the Ryzen 5 3600 is currently the best price/performance gaming/productivity CPU on the market
no need to upgrade that
really?
the RX 580 is one of the best price/performance graphics card for 1080p 60fps gaming
ssd maybe?
(Demonmit 580 might be the best used price/perf rn, new 1650s might beat it)
RX 580 will pan out better in the long run though
8GB Vram
AMD finewine and all that
?
tho g6 vram might do smth in the future
i wouldnt change gpus anyways. free sync has cheaper options for monitors
We'll have to see what direction we go, larger stored vram, or just faster vram and loading a bit at a time
G-sync compatibility ;)
I have a sceptre 200 hz freee sync curved ultrawide monitor I jsut bought
yeah
So, are you using hdd or ssd?
and there are drivers for geforce gpuys Ive read abt that can tap into freesync usage
if you want to upgrade your GPU, with a 200hz monitor, and you want to get 200fps in games, you'd really be looking at the RTX 2060 super, RX 5700xt, or a RTX 2070 super to get those FPS at 1080p consistently in modern AAA games
umm ssd i think
heres the pc I bought from best buy
oh wait I cant send the link lol
its on best buy for 749.99 the first one that ops up
yeah
oof, yeah, get a new kit of ram
that will massively improve your performance
and completely remove the studdering you're getting
single stick random oem 3000mhz ram is gonna be horrible
whats the difference
@austere condor Usually prebuilts have random sticks of ram that don't tend to match what's on the market, so I just call them OEM :P
Thanks to all that helped with information, and some ideas. I stuck with original build plan.. yes not AMD... the prices were right for me, and components were what I wanted... 😄
Some cheap oem boards not support up to 3600mhz ram tho
sorry to interrupt but i have a question
and they were in stock, so bought them the other day 🙂
@atomic oasis whatd you go with?
looks like an asrock or asus B450 @buoyant flame
Justegg I don't think they do on amd boards
so it should be fine
because low end intel does
I didnt actually look lol I was just pointing it out
no am4 boards I know of does
@atomic oasis what gpu?
using old 1050ti till 3000 series comes out
i would have gotten a different CPU/mobo/cooler imho
ye
have a HAF 932 advanced full tower case...
this is what I mean tho why dont I just buy new motherboard, gpu and cpu because I have money and then Ill have updated parts or more mainstream ig
I mean
There's not really a more updated cpu that would be much better for you rn tho
Yet
I have a 120 CM AIO liquid cooling now. .works fine
sorry to interrupt but i have a question
ML240 Lite is not a reputable CPU cooler
Whats the question @little osprey
wdym @buoyant flame
@austere condor the one in the list isn't the lite version
No sense in upgrading from a 3600 rn
@austere condor it's the version 2 one...
@buoyant flame so im buying this gpu https://pcpartpicker.com/product/tTCFf7/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2070-super-8-gb-windforce-oc-3x-video-card-gv-n207swf3oc-8gd and it says it has a 6 + 8 pin
ML240L?
and my power supply has 4 6+2 pins
that works
Your fine
o it's back in stock on wegg :D
Yes
Yes
and then the +2 would just be hanging there?
Pretty much
@little leaf I was going to shoot for 2060s.. but think the 3000 series may be worth waiting for
ok
You can zip tie it to the other cable to keep it from hanging in the open tho
Welcome
@atomic oasis I mean those launch dates are still just rumors
yeah, means a bit more saving up to do 😄
@buoyant flame if you dont mind can you read over my pcpp list and tell me what to change
I'll have a look
why is my currenct cpu and gpu better than the mor expensive one, forget price
and if the performance is that much more.. worth the wait...
..?
Pretty decent list @little osprey
@worthy inlet wdym more expensive one
@buoyant flame thank you
like idk ryzen 7 or 9s or intel i7 or i9s
Np
@buoyant flame is there anything i should change
It looks pretty good tbh. Nothing jumps out to me
ok
but idrc abt price rn @stoic island
@stoic island thats not true
Working on a build for my kid. He turns 9 end of next month.
wants to build for his bday. Pricing this at $600.
any areas i can save some more? have a asus 60hz monitor he will use with it and already mouse and keyboard. was hoping to get to $500 on the build
h ttps://pcpartpicker.com/list/BnjCn7
From 3600 to 3950x in terms of gaming performance, it's around 5% gain for a 500+$ more expensive cpu
:p
you could go cheaper on the cpu
i got it in the cart between microcenter and amazon exactly 600 and some change
@worthy inlet anyways just get new ram
@hidden relic really?
it should fix the stuttering
Curious if anyone ordered from newegg, and taking over 2 days to "process" even though the money was already taken out?
next thing if you want to upgrade should be GPU
@hidden relic no need for that cooler
CPU is just fine
it came built in with the ryzen didnt mean to leave it on there
I would pair a 3600+2080 super
not in the cart
ok that ram though
that ram is really bad
don't buy that ram
its insanely bad
and a bad deal
okay. what would be better then. thank you
which ram squid
😦 idk I just want real high performance gaming, lik eable to run highest and best quality settings with no problems, will the sticks of ram really do that?
for 70 usd
@worthy inlet ram will fix the stuttering
New ram and a new gpu are you best bet for sure@worthy inlet
higher average fps takes better gpu
dont pay attention to the pricing in the parts builder but those are the parts i've got in carts
@hidden relic this kit of ram is good for you too
https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232880
mr its 600 dollar build
yeah. trying to keep it low. its going to be a glorified roblox player for a while...
I was going to get the aegis one too, but went with the other ones instead
only becasue of price, what about this: Patriot Viper Steel Series DDR4 8GB (2 x 4GB) 3200MHz Memory Kit - PVS48G320C6K
amazon for $47
I would say more ram
i'd suggest 16gig total RAM
I think 16 gigs
i have a asus g14 zeph. this is for my 9 year old. wanting to have his own build (just gave my old fx6300 build to my nephew...didnt expect my kid to want it)
I went 32 just having a bit extra room since I have 32 now...
@hidden relic just make him like a hundred buck igpu build
wtf is with psu prices
since he wants roblox only
PSU prices went way up
he plays minecraft and roblox....but figured by 10 he will be doing more
cx450 is gone again
supply must be low, so prices went up... that is why I am using the 700w I have now...
@stoic island when I got my psu the rmx 850 almost everything was already sold out
now the psu I got for 120 is now 160
@stoic island rip
I'll probably get a new PSU when the newer graphics cards come out...
nope... I lucked out and all were in stock so ordered..
heres a thing
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JpfLXv
the MB I wanted, they went up to almost 300... so at the regular 179.. i hit the button
ofc
3300x is great for gaming
it might even beat 3600 in single core perf I forgot if it did
okay. good stuff thank you!
single ccx OP
and stick with the 1650 vs a 580?
1650s
looks like they are priced same roughly
It beats 580 slightly afaik
1650 is a failure of a card and thats why the 1650 super exists
yea 1650s means 1650 super
why was the 1650 a failure?? curious
man i'm glad i jumped on this chat before ordering. Thank you for the help Mr1111
it was overpriced for bad performance
gotcha...
the rx 570 had a $30 lower msrp and was like 10% faster, and the 570 has been out for almost 3 years now
I have the 1050ti and I think it works pretty good...
@deep skiff Barrow rads arent bad. Only thing idk about is fin density compared to other companies
yeah he has like 8 spaces idk why

He gave his reasoning
what was it
said it was glitchy on mobile so he just did it so it was "glitchy" everywhere else
lolol
well dunno if its good reasoning but its reasoning
lol
its best buy
ye
with the amount of money spent on custom GPU and CPU cooler you could get custom liquid cooling
@little osprey
yea lol
Wdym
Is that bad or good
sold out
Also iirc one of the techies or unofficial techies complained about that GPU being meh on GPU cooling
I want budget pc under budget of 500 very budget
i used budget 3 times..
ok yall were a great help and I thank you for that... buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut if I were to hypothetically upgrade motherboard, gpu, and cpu... and possibly thyer things I dont not know much abt like ram and stuff...... what should I upgrade to
budget?
me?
upgrade to corsair corsair is the best
ye
I make like 350 a week for the rest of summer pretty much so
idk
a lot
lets say $3200
Will everything work in my build?
for motherboard, ssd, gpu, ram?
everything
@little osprey why not x73 then
hello
Because the h510 elite
lol
Im mounting the radiator on the front
can't even get the good locking aios
little trouble finding the ryzen 3 3300x. in stock. but finding the 3 3200. any reason to not grab that?
you'll have to check mem support list
32gb ram sticks are iffy
@hidden relic 3200..?
that exists?
b&h is doing 3300x preorder rn
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1558666-REG/amd_ryzen_3_3300x_quad_core.html
3200g?
okay.
More expensive, slower, last-gen iPC, multiple CCXs :p
hoping to build no later than june 26
yeah 3200g is zen+ so not the 7nm stuff, and it has a igpu
i see that now.
@cursive wharf Why don't you just reset it?
I don't understand what the big deal is
Dont think it is much of a big deal
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Anyone wanna see the build I got I don’t know to much about pcs but I know the basics if anyone wants to rate my build im also gonna get note parts for it over time
Sure
Take the http off
Ok
Alright
You'll be able to post links once you talk a while and determine you're "okay"
Ok good
What will you be using this build for?
Whats the highest I can overclock my ryzen 1600
I'm at 3.5 right now
with no voltage change
Oh I’ve already built it
@thick gorge Watch the thermals and see how hard you can press it. How much you can get will depend on your cooling solution
I’m just want to know like what upgrades I should start with first I’m not to familiar with upgrades
thats ur current pc?
Yes
I'd probably upgrade your GPU first
@sand falcon Right now I'm using the stock cooler. Not sure if I should push it any harder with just the wraith. I don't think an aftermarket cooler is worth it for the 1600. I guess that answers my question lmao
