Using this for emulation, mini itx build or at most itx. emulation of the kind im doing is more clock speed/single core performance, and budget is 800 usd. you can swap out card to amd, cemu perfers opengl, but Vulkan is still fine. and yeah i want this build to be small

Check to see if the RAM is seated correctly. If it is, then switch the RAM sticks around and check to see which RAM your computer is detecting. If your old RAM is the one being detected, then that means the new sticks are DOA. If the new ram is detected then it means the DIMM slots are faulty.

It was my very first build ever. So I don’t really have anything to compare it to. I got it in a bundle deal at microcenter with my cpu and drive. Has an integrated io shield which was nice, easier for me and looks nicer in my opinion.

Typical build varies from budget and usage

#

Some tasks are more CPU heavy, some more GPU heavy, some requiring a ton of ram, some requiring fast SSD as storage.

Of course you can have the best of everything with like a 3000$ budget

Double check that your specific CPU is supported by the board you pick. I just looked for the same socket as your old board. Some older chipsets might not support your cpu. Double check that your generation of cpu is supported by the mobo you choose
