So I have too actually build my desk so if my pc gets delivered before I finish my desk I might play on the floor
when you have your own job id hope you could spend your own money .-.
what kind of desk
are they taking your money?
I want to get a vr headset but my parents won't let me get it
The limitations of life
ghost do you have a job?
nope not yet
No its in my account but theyd obviously know if i bought anything
they said i should work at apple or bestbuy
that's actually kinda dumb though
ew
it's entirely your own money
apple
get job, get bank account (on your own), save up money, when you can afford 2 VR headsets, buy 1
ew bestbuy
i mean its not really that bad
Yeah
you should be able to spend it any way you want
cause trust me, having a savings will come in super handy down the line
they can at most give you tips on how to save money
i can afford like 4 rift s' >.<
But i feel like i have to save
Yeah, saving is really important lol
give one to me
Give me the other one
Cause ik they havent started saving for my college so i have to pay that by myself
idk im not totally against apple
nah i already have more than enough money put away for rift S. just waiting for it to go back in stock
Apple's fine for the people who use it
and it would be good practice to deal with the people that come through that door
Bro they dont even let me get a credit card to start building my credit
2rsfrs, when you get to college, look into fafsa. it will help a ton
I was gonna plan on buying like a cheeseburger from micdonalds every month
And paying it off
But theyre like no your too young
Fafsa?
some people buy apple for a reason which i like but some just buy because apple and then i don't know what to say to them
I dont even know what im gonna do with my life yet
especially when they don't have budget
And im almost about to go to college
same
How old r u?
17
Eyyy
Lets goo
So im scared imma be wasting time at college since i dont have a plan for my future yet
I was thinking somewhere in the realm of either computer science, electrical engineering or audio engineer
Engineering programs are hella hard tho
fafsa is like where the government will give you a grant each term to help pay for college, and you don't have to pay it back as long as you pass.
Im in one for my hs
you have to try stuff out and see what you might like
How do u earn money when ur 13??
@misty heron wait are you 13 or 17
Im 16
I work at mcdonalds xD
No some other person said they had 600$ for a pc and they r 13
And i was wondering how they obtained that much money
I see
you can take 3 core classes and 1 class in diff fields to try them out. just depends on how much you can spend. I was going to community college and im independent so fafsa essentially pays for all of my classes and books and such.
like at their business or like aroudn the house?
10$ an hour is nothing tho
ik
i make 15-20 and i still have no money usually
like business work
thats nice tho
im a pizza delivery driver atm. but since i work all day i make good money and average anywhere between 15-20$ an hour
Oohjh
i do all the prep work and everything lol
But dont you basically earn less bc of gas bills?
Oh did u file for unemployment
If u arent working atm
ehhhh kinda. We get paid 25 cents per mile driven to cover gas, and we only spend about 10cents per mile, so we get double what we spend in gas.
then tips are separate, which since the pandemic started has been really good
and then i get paid 8.50 an hour in the store and 5.25 while driving, but we are currently getting a 2$ per hour bonus so its 10.50 per hour in the store and 7.25 on the road.
and i am working, so i dont need to apply
Tips r v good
My mom felt bad for the uberdelivery person yesterday and gave him a 5 dollar tip
Idk if thats alot or not but my parents usually only give like 3
5$ is my minimum tip when ordering delivery lol
3 is about average
most of the tips i recieve are 3$
They give you 2 and your like aight no pizza until u give me 3 more
lmao no
i mean when i order food myself, i will tip at least 5$
my rule of thumb is 15% with a minimum of 5$.
it should be 18 but im to lazy to do that math
but 5% is easier to get than 8%
exactly
Ew big tips
just move the decimal over to get 10%, then cut that in half for 5%, then add to 10%
bam
I need my money too!
big brain
ive been getting a lot of 10$ tips and 20$ tips in the first few weeks
dew it
yeah probably lmao wasn't paying attention to the chat
lol
Oh I have a 1000$ pc and I’m 14
'I'm 14, and this is deep'
my computer isn't worth 900 dollars, but you can buy it for that price :)
899.99 and you have a deal @lyric thistle
That’s how they get you
'It's like one cent less! what a deal!'
You can buy so much with a cent
Can someone just help me with this boot because it ain’t booting
where it freezes when you press install after booting into the bios?
Can someone make me a build for gaming and streaming 1080p budget 800
K
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NPhbf9 anyone know a wifi card to throw into this?
@weak arrow https://pcpartpicker.com/list/byR7q3
It won't be an amazing streaming build, but if you can find a better PSU deal go for it
@little leaf a TP Archer 6 (I think that's what it was) will work, but any WiFi card you put into that board will be right against the GPU
Why not a Team MP34
which one?
Or a silicon power A80
What would make it better for streaming a 2060ko
Okay I did my job I'm sleeping now baiii
I always forget the SSDs
@eager chasm can you link it can't find it
@weak arrow a bigger budget
I really don’t have a budget it’s just how long do I want to work to save up the money
Until next gen drops :D
A Ryzen 7 or a 2070 super would make streaming better depending on what encoding method you prefer
i'd sell my custom draonball pc =p i9-9900k with 2080 super =p
The T4E is a less powerful version
You don't want to go super cheap on your WiFi card or you will hate yourself
I imagine you want decent speeds
The archers are the only cards I've had and they work well enough
Looking for mechanical keyboard .... cherry mx brown ....
@normal crater Get a matrix keyboard
hey all crafty here and uh @proven crater i think your gunna want to wait to build your pc
and if your on a budget you would want to build it
Most things out of stock
also, anyone feel free to tweak this, budget is 1k and its itx build. its mainly for emulation and some games. running at 1440p emulation is easy. and uh cemu perfers openGL over vulkan. anyways heres the list. USD btw https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vCt8vW
yes im moving it to ITX
1660
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sWxp4n what about this, il change budget to 900 i guess.
ty
Eyyy i play fortnite too
@vague crystal 450 watt what gpu?
Man, I wish the tracking site would update with where my case is. It's not updated since Saturday, so all I know is it shipped out and is estimated to be here Friday
my MB and graphics card is arriving today, like, 30 minutes estimate. YEE HAW BOYS thanks everyone for helping me with the build guys!
ahhh errr umm its in the uh R rated version ya
lol
lmao
so excited. i also got RGB strips, ill post in pics later
also quick Q , i need to install windows on it, how do i do that if i dont have a big USB drive?
what size usb you got?
Considering recent events, I'm really glad I waited on my build and didn't listen to the people who kept saying I should just buy a b450 motherboard.
just buy a b450 motherboard >:D
It's always better to wait a few months if you can
but if you need it now
b450 is where its at
I am currently waiting for next month to see if there any good b550 boards coming.
Ryzen 3 1200, 8GB 1199mhz single channel, MSI B350M, GTX 1050ti 5gb, 1tb seagate HDD - so this is my current pc and I'd like to spend around 700 dollars on an upgrade but I'm not sure what to upgrade to - can anyone help me out? :)
@quaint cloud is this a prebuilt or did you build it
that's a good budget for upgrades
uh well my pc died not long ago and i had the gpu, cpu and ram replaced
but I think your mislead on the amount of ram the 1050ti has 😛
there is a 5gb 1050ti version iirc
sorry i just typed out my specs from Speccy, if its wrong then my bad
yea Chinese only iirc
I always thought there was a 4gb ti
theres a 3gb and 5gb
linus did a vid on the 5gb 1060
prob that then
@quaint cloud what PSU do you have, do you know?
PUBG, COD, Overwatch, CS, GTA, Minecraft mostly
I'm not sure but i can check if its important?
kinda 🙂
Yes, it's worth upgrading if you only have like some 400w random psu
Okay nvm just put that on top of the cost of upgrading
This should be a good investment
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/P7z2Nq
assuming you can flash the bios on your b350m
@quaint cloud
@stoic island whats a good case or case + fan combo since p400a digital is out
TD500 mesh
CM H500 but most likely out of stock
uhh
Meshify C if you want
P300a is alright, but no rgb either
Pure base 500dx is alright if you get it at like <100
K thx
Hello I’m planing to do my first ever build what do you guys think of my specs what would you guys change or recommend I’m planing to use a ryzen 5 3600 motherboard is a msi b450 gaming pro carbon ac am4 WiFi and for ram Corsair vengeance rgb pro 16gb 2x8 and the msi GeForce gtx 1660 super 6gb 192bit and corsairs cv 650 and finally nzxt h150 with wd blue 1tb hard drive and team group 512 ssd
What you thinking I’m not really good with parts
Corsair CX
give https://www.newegg.com/tools/custom-pc-builder a try 🙂
hey i need some help with getting a good pc build for my Rosewill ATX Mid Tower that is good for gaming and cheap. Any suggestions?
@near garden BQ is pretty low quality
Ok I will look for more options
What about the evga 650 b5 fully modular
This one is 5 eggs on Newegg it’s the Corsair rm Series fully modular
B5 has no real reviews on it. Not talking about "amazon reviews" but reviews that look at voltage regulation/ripple, protections (and whether they work properly), transient response, capacity quality, fan quality, noise (both from fan & coil whine), whether it's group regulated, whether it's multi rail, how good the solder quality is, what the failure rate is, and what the average failure of the PSU causes, etc.
So cant recommend B5
Yeah I will go with the rm thanks for the help @cursive wharf and @fast dust @sudden turret
Any motherboard recommendations
B450m pro back in stock :D
https://www.newegg.com/asus-tuf-b450m-pro-gaming/p/N82E16813119224
go for it
Ok thanks @stoic island it’s going to be my first build I just got to check if everything’s compatible
hey is anyone able to help me build a computer using a Rosewill ATX Mid Tower?
@sullen spoke what am I looking at here? 🤔
nah i was saying that everyone looks at build chat, they said no regulars do xD
i thought u were telling to go
help unknown target
is he talking abt a case
no?
building a computer for a case i have yes
which case specifically
Rosewill ATX Mid Tower
model number
yeah but they have like 20 mid towers 🙂
rosewill is a company lol see if u can find the specific model on the case or box
TYRFING
do you have the rest of your components or only the case?
no not really. just something cheap but can run games like rust abd arma 3
at 100 fps with nice graphics
sorry for the blunt responses but i dont really know much about computer parts and what is better for what
what are you looking at for a budget?
every part being around $200 to $400
ok well
that''ll be easy
yeah
I think that's a China gaming cafe market only thing @stoic island
The 5GB graphics card.
@normal brook "odd" ram config and generally "odd" components is fairly normal in the oem market
@next tangle do you have valorant xD
no why
so how do I fix it?
What exactly happens?
i can send a screen recording
Tried reinstalling?
no
wait wrong thing agian
oof
you have to uninstall chrome first
restart your machine
@verbal quarry well since I can't see to get the write list just you will beable to get a bunch of good parts
also that
you forgot psu
let it do its thing.
anyone know when the 3000 graphics card coming out? I heard some info some news coming out tomorrow but not sure if it's just hearsay...
No its not coming out tmr. Its rumored for Q4
They're announcing the non consumer products tmr
Or maybe the 15th actually I dont remember
non consumer products??
The non gaming line
quadro, tesla
Workstation cards
Little late Randall lol
ahhh ok... totally forgot I was in this discord... been pricing and making a build for a while.. have one almost done, just wanted to know to get a 2000 series, or wait for 3000 series...
But also leaking the architecture so it'll be interesting for the consumer segment too
Wait if you can
I'd wait personally
i'm rocking an i7 2600k and 1050ti... lol... not sure how much longer i can wait LOL
wait and get last gen on sale or next gen for more perf for better price
1050ti doesn't sound that bad...
itll game
to an extent
oh it's not... i may get all other components and just use the 1050ti in new build, and wait for the 3000 series
i have friends who still gaem on 1050ti
running 6 accounts of a game, and a bunch of chrome tabs... 😄
thinking the i7 and the SSD's really help one another
@little leaf thats an overpriced build for what it is
ye but he said 200 per part lol
squidkiller.. that would be a nice beastly computer.... not really up to date on AMD and stuff... i'm more an intel person...
any reasons for what u chose
ehh
theres no need to make him pay extra
that one is also questionable
yeah ik
oh if he wants just on good graphics just get 2070s
i didnt try lol
wait. who is "he"
the 2080 supers.. nice cards but pricey IMO
@viral ore lol he said 200 per part
he?
not realistic
i need a username
not good price to performance just like if you were willing to spend more
@little leaf thank you for the list but i need to mention that i have a case already. Rosewill TYRFING
ahh
ye don't go with that list
@atomic oasis i would recommend that you take a serious look at the AMD parts.
just messing around @verbal quarry
@foggy hazel I should, just been intel for so long... lol...
@verbal quarry are you looking for a component list?
@viral ore i believe squidkiller helped me out
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wZP4vW didn't include graphics, or case since i have a tower ii'll re-use HAF 932 advanced, and the 1050ti... any thoughts?
@atomic oasis long story short, as things are now. Intel doesnt offer anything that is all that interesting for a mixed workload
oh ok
not good price to performance
Wack
if you want best price to performance don't get a 2080s
@foggy hazel few friends said to go with AMD... i've seen some benchmarks and comparisons.. still see intel being higher...
unknown_target, what is your budget, and what are you using this pc for?
also @midnight pelican why not x570 for more upgradabilty
@atomic oasis Intel much more expensive for a bit more performance
Intel is still higher in certain use cases, but the price isn't there.
@stoic island i've had this CPU for almost 7 years now... been strong 😄
$80 for less than 10% improvement isn't worth it.
bc it doesnt sound like he plans on upgrading soon
mans just wants to play rust lol
@viral ore $200-$400 for each part using a Rosewill TYRFING
i want to play my rust without performance lag
give me a total cost
Mr11 he made another list
mr111 it 16?
all parts dont cost the same
and arma 3
and I see the intel i10 series are on pre-order too.. hmmm
There was 2 kits of ripjaw v 16gb..m
but i also play games that are bigger then that
@verbal quarry i need a total amount you want to spend
Lemme get to my pc
pcpcpcpcpc
@viral ore i said $200-$400 each part
@verbal quarry different parts have different price ranges it wouldnt make sense to pair a $400 mobo with a $400 gpu
i dont have a solid limit
It's list making time >:D
1600 - 3200 big range...
the one Randall made me seems pretty good
if all you wanna do is make a decent machine to run rust and not planning on doing much more $1200-$1400 should be plenty
its a little over $1200
@midnight pelican I think he should go x570 for better upgradablity
i'd get liquid cooling on the one randal posted
squidkiller all of the good x570s are super bloated in price right now
this is enough.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hCwT9G
the AIO's I think is good
well my aio is 80 bucks
bit expensive
really nice
but at least in stock
(AIOs) Mainly a vehicle for RGB and for space /fit constraints
@stoic island what is the compatability warning for?
my AIO was about 70, and works like a champ.. full load never gone oer 54 with room temp being hot from outside...
https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MasterLiquid-Dissipation-MLW-D24M-A20PC-R1/dp/B075YPG52N this is ussally 80 bucks
Buy Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB Close-Loop CPU Liquid Cooler, 240mm Radiator, Dual Chamber RGB Pump, Dual MF120R RGB Fans w/ RGB Lighting Sync for AMD Ryzen/Intel 1151/2066: Water Cooling Systems - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
Pcpp has a redudant warning for b450 boards they don't check
when it goes down good deal
Buy an AIO for preference / space etc, vs "needing" one
What do you guys think msi b450 Max or Asus tuf b450 gaming pro ?
but as you can tell from Asus' website, it's 3rd gen ready
MSI is the go-to pick for b450
Tuf b450m pro
I used the stock CPU cooler for 6 years before the paste went bad... so went with AIO...
better sound chip, more M.2 slot iirc, cheaper.
is a tuf gaming better than a tomohalk?
I would say so.
@midnight pelican "pro gaming" <- yes
Other than a straight up VRM comparison
Thanks @midnight pelican , @stoic island , @little leaf , and @viral ore for helping me out
"gaming plus"? not really
does anyone actually use 2 m.2 SSD's on their computers?
And tuf b450m pro is just a bit worse in VRMs
@atomic oasis I mean I kinda have 2 m.2 drives so
exactly box, as long as it's good.
he isnt @sudden turret
@verbal quarry get the list that @stoic island sent
kinda? what ya mean @stoic island
nice
does anyone actually use 2 m.2 SSD's on their computers?
@atomic oasis yes, lots
1 isn't installed bc crappy team drive
assuming its pretty good for price?
Can someone help me I’m trying to do my first build but I don’t know about specs
ahhhh ok
@near garden What's the budget?
Like around 900 or sum
its a form factor, theres nothing wrong with mATX
he has an atx case ¯_(ツ)_/¯
oh i dont know if anyone saw but i need 1x 3.0 usb on the motherboard at least
ok thanks for you help guys, it's working now
its all about the cost
@midnight pelican and?
your*
@verbal quarry that is on any semi-modern mainboard
he seemed pretty insistant on the case he had so i figured it would make more sense for an atx board and he didnt seem t o o worried ab price lol
its like 10 dollars more ¯_(ツ)_/¯
you are missing the point of the pro gaming vs tomahawk max
oh lmao
i just dont want to buy another case xD
This would be a good jumping off point for a 900$ budget list. @near garden
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yPKyTC
tomahawk max?
@verbal quarry your case supports atx, micro-atx and mini-itx
@stoic island thanks
yea
also, your name is wacky.. thought it said "Night reaper", and it just wasn't showing up, and only just realised it's nigth reaper
maybe a misspelling?
or is that intentional
oh another question
Misspelling lol
will any of those lists support dual monitors?
All of them should
ok cool
Tell me, would you spend $500 on a 3900x, $60 on a cooler, and then OC but then be concerned over an extra $30 to buy an x570 over a b450 tomahawk?
whats tomahawk max?
a mobo
mobo?
Hey @stoic island the list you sent me should be able to play gta at good settings right ? My current PC was so old that GTA looks so horrible lol
@verbal quarry mainboard <- component that everything else plugs into
ah ok
The b450 Tomahawk motherboard lacks in amount of M2/PCIe ports, sound/LAN chip, WiFi, etc compared to boards at its price point
i just clicked the first one on the list ):
everything else i would reccomend is bloated in price or is out of stock rn
@stoic island would the 1.2k list you gave me work with a different case?
Then you gotta do more research. Just picking and recommending without a basis is bad
@verbal quarry yes
cool
sorry
Yes
last time mr reccomended the tomohawk over the x570 i had picked so i assumed it was decent
Focus G is my go-to placeholder case
@midnight pelican last time the Tuf b450m pro was out of stock :P
oh lolol
What card is better the gigabyte GeForce gtx 1660 super or the msi 1660 super ?
should be about the same
lol wish I had it lol
I keep going back to it...
good board
good price for it too compared to some other MBs
So the Asus b450 gaming pro is good?
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Nightwielder/saved/f4dPVn
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3hxyTC
So, I'm thinking team blue for this build. I made two lists with the best deals I can find, and the i7-9700 build is about $200 cheaper. Any advice for these builds? Advantages one way or the other?
@potent prairie The 9700F competitor is the R5 3600, not 3700x
So better perf on CPU side and gen4 NVMe (which isnt worth it IMO anyways)
Also 212 is overpriced CPU cooler
Suggestions for a cheaper one? I have nice 120mm, so I don't care if the stock fan is crappy
Also, 2666mhz ram vs 3200... How much of a deal is that?
quality of stock fan isnt bad. But color/LED is
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/w3c48d/deepcool-gammaxx-400-blue-7434-cfm-cpu-cooler-deepcool-gammaxx-400-blue
Thx
Looking for rgb on the ram tho. With that Intel Mobo I'm stuck with 2666mhz or I gotta upgrade the board
hey @stoic island i was looking at you build list you gave me and i went with a tower i already own and nothing fits the case
bro what
i have a Rosewill TYRFING
Thx @cursive wharf
Probably will stick with amd. About $200 more for Intel i7 vs ryzen 5, with a Mobo that can support 3200mhz
Can anyone help with this error? Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) Got this on my RTX 2080 TI 11gb GPU
Updated the driver, and restarted and nada...
Review this build anyone? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/F846FG
Not bad. Idk about the rgb psu fan tho... Like you won't see it very well
Alright, whatevs. B-tier Psu, so no issues there
thermaltake pretty decent PSU... thinking about putting one in my build...
No pprobs
ok
is there anyone who has had this issue and fixed it? Can anyone help with this error? Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) Got this on my RTX 2080 TI 11gb GPU
Updated the driver, and restarted and nada...
Anyone have a suggestion for a motherboard
Budget?
@near garden for what
Gaming
like whats the rest of the build
Asus tuf b450m pro gaming
Yee
I’ve seen it but since it’s going to be my first time building a pc I’m scared of the reviews if you know what I mean lol
what reviews lmao
@cerulean osprey that's a tough one. Did you try to use DDU before updating drivers? Does your power supply have enough juice? Are you running the card in a 16x slot and do you have full 16x PCIE bus potential to said slot? Is this a new card, or have you been running it for a while?
On Newegg it’s a 3.7 out of 5 and some people talk about the bios that it’s hard to control and then they said a ram slot was dead lol
Thermaltake Smart series PSUs have a 4.6 start rating on Amazon despite being a literal IED
Basically, dont trust Amazon/Newegg reviews all that much
Asus bios is a bit wacky, but everythings in there
it’s the feeling that I’m going to get a dead motherboard lol
might take a sec to find things, and weird naming, like docp instead of xmp
but it works fine
Any mobo can be DOA
yea
👍
"it’s the feeling that I’m going to get a dead motherboard lol" <- nothing can prevent this from happening, it is 100% chance
its the side effect of mass-production
Right click @next tangle
well thanks for the help I just have to order now
but RMAs and returns do exist
$20 chinese psu doa what should I do?
Yep
So I’m planing to use a nzxt h510 the tower is meant for a atx but supports micro atx do you guys think I should get it or just get a micro atx case for my motherboard ?
I've had the pc since October 18 and it is installed in a 16x pcie slot and the power supply is 750w gold
If I have video card discussion questions where should I post?
think here?
here or in #graphics-cards
k, I'll post in Graphics, thanks
no one was there, can anyone help me understand PCIe differences?
the differences in your pcie slot dpeneds on yourmotherboard
that information should be in your manual or on the company website
usually the top pcie slot has the highest bandwith and speed
@boreal geode
like, homework?
Hey guys, anyone care to help me choose between 2 different monitors? Trying to decide whats best for my GPU
ooh lowest response time and highest refresh rate
sorry can't help with your physics homework
that's what I've been looking for and basically have two picked out. but not sure if my GPU can handle either of them and if so, which one you guys would recommend
what gpu u have?
that's my full build
1060 6gv
6gb
the two monitors I was looking at are
or
you aren't the first person to say that to me actually haha. I heard its personal preference and I never had a curved monitor before
curved is good
yes I will be. Aside from it being curved. based on the specs. The first link I sent has G-Sync and 1440p but I was told that my GPU may struggle to run 1440p. This is also a 144hz with 4ms response time
the second one is only 1080p and freesync. It has up to 180hz with 1ms response time
both 32"
I'm on nvidia so gsync and the 1440p sound attractive to me
but I also don't want to struggle to run it
I also like that MSI is a more well known brand
get the 2nd one then
and I don't really know enough about this stuff haha
me either
so I'm looking for advice/someone to say get this one because its better for you
:p
lol idk
you should be able to get 1440p at 60fps
but you can always downscale the res in settings to get higher fps
but you can get the 1440p now and upgrade your gpu later
My computer that I have had for the past few years recently died. All of the specs are pretty old so I was going to build a new one. Anyone got a budget build for like 500-750?
so the 1440p basically leaves me with more options and you would recommend that one?
and does the 4ms response time vs 1ms response time scare you away from it?
lol i didnt even see that
personally i would go with the 1080p 144hz if its faster and your not planning on upgrading your gpu soon
Hey guys I got a question
One of my friends keeps telling me to get a motherboard with wifi and I haven’t really liked the boards with built in wifi I’m telling him I have a usb that gives wifi but he keeps telling me that most the boards without built in wifi are #### should I get one or should I stick with my mother board I have planed the Asus b450 gaming pro
built on wifi or wifi cards are often better than usb wifi dongles
So would you think a wifi card would still be good ?
either built on or pcie wifi cards are good
with that said pcie wifi cards are not all the same
Yeah I have one too
if it works well for you currently then it should be fine, but if you care about having one extra free usb port there is that to think about to
Yeah mine works well idk because I’ve never tried anything else I’ve only got 6 months of pc gaming
ethernet is always best if you are close enough or have easy access to router as always
I'm looking for a motherboard that has a decent amount of usb ports but can also support 6 fans and a corsair cpu cooler, it needs to be able to support ryzen 2nd & 3rd gen and needs to be atx or either mirco itx for around £150. any suggestions
Anyone knows a argb hub? cheap pls
Soo. If I can get a 1300w psu for the same price of a 750w, what’s the reasoning not to do that?
quality of a IED
They’re both evga, both 80+ Gold, both fully modular

I wouldn’t get that cpu OR gpu @midnight pelican
No reason for the G when you are getting a gpu
3600 for only like 20 bucks more@midnight pelican
i know but i wanted to stay under 750
And I’d never buy the 3gb 1060
20 bucks will go a long way there but ok if it needs to be that strict
i knoe
Might be a good idea to look used for a gpu
im not buiding it for m e
You could also do the 3100 or 3300x instead. Both are cheaper.
ok so
They technically don’t release for another 8 days but
are you buying new?
Still
Also cx450 is back in stock if you want a better psu
@midnight pelican are you buying everything on the list new?
im not buying it i just wanted to try to make a budget build list ;-;
i couldnt find the 3300x when i looked
oh]
i didnt know u could manualy enter a price
any good argb controllers?
argb controllers usually come with the product
most of the time the one that came with it is the only one that will work with it
is the evga supernova g3 good?
ok because it’s in stock finally and i need a psu
My Phanteks p600 came with 2 fans, though I ordered 5 extra LED fans which will be quieter (at a really good deal)...so now I have 7 fans. I have 1 in the rear + 2 mounted on top, and then 2 at the front...
which I'm concerned is negative air pressure and will add a lot of dust to my computer
is there another place for me to place an intake fan? do folks ever add a fan at the same level as the PSU?
i can take pics if that helps
I will be building a $500 budget build soon and wanted to know what areas are ok to go cheap on so that i can have more room budget-wise for other parts
You shouldn't cheap out on anything :p
@latent storm I would check out the tier list, you already know what I have to say about PSUs so....
Usually ram, storage and case you can cheap out a little on, the rest of the "cheaping out" has to be done on your main components, CPU and GPU
you should not cheap out too much on motherboard, and should not cheap out on PSU at all.
So is it ok to het the cheapest m.2 nvme for say the os but have a hdd for longer storage
no
cheapest is never good
Team MP34 is a good inexpensive drive
P1 is about the lowest I'd go in terms of quality
P1 doesn't even have 256gb capacity so mp34 is gonna be it
ok i was looking at a crucial nvme 500 gb with the potential of extra space with an hdd. is crucial to low of quality?
ok thanks
for that budget build is the Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 an ok mother board? Not looking for anything to fancy.
Yes the pro4 is also a solid option
@stoic island want a 500/512 gb m.2, mp34 or silicon power a80, or a better option?
Mp34
hypercore what fans are you trying to connect with argb
its okay got it figured out :)
pc is booting, showing the asus loading screen, than rebooting
can you get to bios
nope.
sounds like a power issue
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i think you should try resetting CMOS? i think thats the first step
i did like 5 times
Do u need a gpu to run a pc
not 100% of the time
try the other PSU if you can
if you wanna see anything on the screen, you gotta have a GPU. now that statement is a bit misleading, most intel processors have a GPU built in except for models ending in an F like the 9900KF.
most ryzen processors dont have integrated graphics
but the ones that do are pretty good graphics
Oh Alr fs
is a 2060 ok with the 2600
yes
which 2070 super is good for its money and doesn't have driver issues
What
Drivers for a GPU are the same across the board lol
500$ is what you should aim for
At least dual fan
just pick a KO if you're budget minded lol
@tepid basalt OOS last I checked
buildzoid's pcb breakdown on the 2070s ko really amuses me
to me his video is like steve
@lime forge it's a 650w psu though i don't understand how it could be power related
it'd be really hard to swallow if it's about a topic you don't really like
Steve mentions him
@tepid basalt I just don't get around to watching em
Keep seeing clips in GNs videos
Like the 2060ko pcb
And the x570 tomahawk breakdown
ah yeah, motherboard pcb breakdown is hard to me
I have little basic knowledge on that topic
hopefully I can find some videos teaching me what's the difference between 2 + 2 and 4 phases
I tried some articles on the internet, but my dumb brain still can't fully grasp it yet
i don't understand, my pc doesn't crash under HEAVY load with heaven and cinebench running but forza, it really doesn't like forza.
Hyped for GN video on the TD500
facts
beaned
Anyone able to help me with a project I am doing ?
Just ask
Well I am trying to turn my old PC into a server box
For..
serving :)
Can someone make me a parts list for a new 20$ build
I have found my true nemesis
why not 10
Oh no
It's becoming stronger
Literally my psu was bought through newegg and said it would get here Monday. One Wednesday later and it's still not here

Newegg... Can't beat Amazon on the shipping
Co co co, corona
i mean all shipping is messed up right now cuz of covid
This didn't happen with my case thought
especially amazon
*though
before corona i wait 2 week for amazon package
And I got my cpu from Amazon overnight in like
check tracking info
b&h has best shipping, for me at least. free next day shipping
oh i like buying fragile parts in hand before i get online
u live near a Microcenter?
I'm not gonna drive to Texas to go to one either
I am turning my old PC in a server box so I can host a Arma 3 server and teamspeak
!rank
Devastator/Bankai, this command is disabled in this channel
I want to build a pc over the summer for $1500-$1800 how would I find the best pc for that price range? thanks!
Wait for Corona to pass over and prices to stabilize :p
I won’t have much time after summer though
u can use pcpartpicker
or wegg part picker https://www.newegg.com/tools/custom-pc-builder
i have a question regarding multiple monitors
i already run a dual setup and thought of using a 10 inch or so tablet or monitor as a small 3rd monitor
for PC monitoring and discord etc
is that possible?
20$ build I’ll give a dollar if u can get 240 FPS on gears of war ultra settings
Pay someone $20 to use their ultimate gaming rig for an hour and run GOW on 240 fps using their computer
Where's my dollar
Lol
Wat about the plane simulator for Microsoft recommended is 2080 ti and 9700 I think
Wait not the 9950 I have no idea what I'm talking about
All i know is I'm talking about a ryzen 9
3950x?
¯_(ツ)_/¯
wow
the microsoft flight sim has that big of a requirement?
i have the one from Lockheed Martin
Can someone help me. My rig is about 10 month old. I have a i5 9600k with a gtx 2070 and 16 gb of DDR4 3200 ram. For the past 2 months my computer would just randomly shut off. In the beginning it would only happen once and it would only be on a couple minutes (5-10) after start up. Now it has gotten worse and turns off at least three times a day when I’m gaming on it. It shuts down without warning, first my display goes dark then everything turns off as if it was unplugged from the wall. Can some give me some advice
prebuilt or ?
I built it myself
Bought all the parts brand new. I also haven’t overclocked them so they are still stock
I also ran a Heaven Benchmark and Cinebench benchmark and everything seems to be normal for the time being
got a part list?
ᵈᵘᵈᵉ ˢᵃᵐᵉ ʰᵉʳᵉ
oops lol
same here
literally any game i play it just straight dies
what power supply?
-Intel Core i5-9600K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
-Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
-MSI Z390-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
-Team T-Force Delta RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
-Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
-Asus GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB STRIX GAMING OC Video Card
-NZXT H500 ATX Mid Tower Case
-EVGA BR 700 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
hm
i have a 2600, x570, 16gb 2400, 3 tb hdd, 1tb ssd, 120gb ssd, and an xfx 5700 xt
my computer used to die when this was turned on lol
@muted gate nothing aside from the PSU really stands out. So i would recommend that you take a look in the event viewer
how do you do that
start menu search :p
So I checked my event view for the exact time that it powered off. It states "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
mine says a problem has occurred with one or more user mode drivers and the hosting process has been terminated
It's a bit scarry that it is doing this since I have AP testing in less then a week and I can't have it shutting off during the test 😦
try swapping the psu
aye, as i said, the PSU is the only thing that stands out
Okay thank you
What PSU would you guys recommend me getting? Right now I have a EVGA BR 700 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
if someone is willing to help a new pc builder out! which Graphics card ya recommended for gaming/ streaming and regular Pc usage ?
i am willing to spend at max $500 on something worth using long term
try the Evga Supernova G series
or Seasonic Focus
what kinda games @livid sierra
and what kind of monitors u playing on
@half crown nothing yet as it stand i don't own a pc atm
im just doing lots of browsing
i want it to be able to run game such as LOL, GTA, valorant minecraft etc
hm
i dont want a beasty pc because I don't want to use liquid coolant system
u plan on gaming at 1080p, 1440p or 4k?
and single or multi-monitor?
as it stands a RTX 2070 super is ur best bang for buck
its a bit over 500 tho
yea an RTX 2070
and u dont have to water cool
there's aircoolers like the Noctua DH15 that work just as good
i had a 2070 super and it was a really good card for the money
okay so im searching up what you suggested and those prices are not bad at all i saw one for $549 unless its more expensive than that
2070 super is 500-600 at most
like Founder editions will be in the lesser 500s
and maybe some Zotac as well
its a pretty big GPU tho
funny thats the one i was just looking at
not all of the brands will include a bracket to help with the GPU-sag
I purchased a mid tower you think it will fit ? it is upgradable so i am able to build it the way i desire
which tower is it?
yea around 550
I got my 2070s for 490
the one i had was 580ish
Which one
Aorus
CORSAIR Carbide Series 175R RGB Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX Gaming Case,
had to copy and paste lol
@livid sierra
@livid sierra it should fit just fine
@little leaf huh
I cant find the exact lenght but look that its an atx case should fit it easily
Ah naed got them
thats the max length for a GPU in your case @livid sierra
Dimensions & Weight
Max GPU Length Allowance
330 mm
Max CPU Cooler Height Allowance
160 mm
Dimensions (H x W x D)
17.72" x 8.27" x 16.46"
Weight
13.45 lbs.
thats it
so, then it just a case of you NOT selecting a GPU model that is longer than that
most GPU's are less than 300mm
