oh boy cv isn't a great choice it looks like
only a single pcie 6+2
good thing I checked
@stoic island Is the Coolermaster MWE in stock?
The V2 450w version is a decent PSU
no
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dGNW8M hows this? Ignore case, psu, and gpu pls
@fast dust Probably meaning decent in the lowest categories of PSUs. But overall dont think it's decent
oof, bestbuy really sucks with pcpp
Ya
says it's in stock in pcpp, but isnt in bb site
hm, dual NVMe M2 and WiFi but still meh sound chip for $115
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/LgmxFT/asrock-x370-killer-sliac-atx-am4-motherboard-x370-killer-sliac
Hei, aware of any decent PSU at the ~100 range?
X370 bios might be
Eh
Since they prob stopped production
uhh https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dGNW8M hows this? Ignore case, psu, and gpu pls
Where do you see OOS status on Newegg. Pcpp has this as OOS but I dont see that
https://www.newegg.com/corsair-tx-m-series-tx650m-650w/p/N82E16817139207?nm_mc=AFC-RAN-COM
lol guess thats fine then
Team MP34 is slightly cheaper then A80 for about same perf and unless 3600MT/s CL16 RAM is OOS get that due to only being $10 more @modern shadow
Hei can ya find a better mobo for this..? Gonna keep this under 700$ bc will add 2070super.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bYPDNq
OC is risky
Not all RAM can OC well. As for that specific kit, doubt it
@stoic island re: tomahawk max: I would honestly wait it out
Yes there is a Crucial Ballistix kit that OCs well, but the one you had isnt it
kk
also, is there a better fan for the price
b450m pro time
next, should I go XMP or manual?
I wonder if b550 would be out by then, stock has died completely now so idk if Pro will get back or not
there is also non-m pro
also oos
had my hopes up for a sec
Basically this
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KkTxQq
so mp34 ssd is the new meta?
nice
@stoic island oh ye also , A80 has better 1tb prices rn
@cursive wharf still chillin with mp34 until I figure out tbw :p
seems pretty great tbw
I guess
the 1tbs also say the teamgroup is slower
Lmao
@sudden turret I read it only AFTER I go google, and ask discord, and after Naed yells at me again
bouta be the most used emote
Could someone give tips on my build?
just go ahead
O i cant send links?
Woah howd u do that
a lot of stuff out of stock
so it makes sense to wait
makes a ton of sense to wait rn
wait until b550 comes out
lots of things are out of stock overall too
you waited the whole year already
one has pcie 4
it's not everyone buying everything
and the other doesnt'
it's just the stuff you choose is a bit old
will also officaly support gen 4 ryzens
Yeah i dont really know what to get for a 1k budget
Im a noob when it comes to building
go ryzen
no, like the pc part is fine
but the peripherals part
your mouse, kb, monitor
that stuff
karozy what is the definition of best cpu and gpu?
the most expensive consumer stuff
Karozy those r what i currently own and am using xD
literal best
I refuse to spend money on it bc it still works
that makes sense
it was released last year right?
Idk
I'm just kidding
well it it's working fine, i don't think so
unless you're aiming for 2k then yes
I see some problem from your build
Oh please give me ur wisdom
Is it?
yep
Which ones would be more suitable for gaming?
try sapphire pulse
That one?
And i cant put picture haha
The 400 dollar one
How would they be different?
Ahh i see
Do u know about what else i could reuse from my current build?
Oh wait you dont know what it is xD
Ima bot
And im reusing storage too i have 2ssds and 1 hdd
Cpu is amd anthlon x4 880k
And mobo is f2a78m-hd2
Its really old i built this like 4 years ago
okay it's time for a revolution
Yeah but the rona is making pc parts sold out haha
So i gotta wait
Those r really old right?
yes
Hahaha
Oh i had a question
Would placing the fan a certain way be bad
Or reduce performance
Same with the slot the gpu goes in
if you place the fans so they both blow out the front and the back, or where they suck in air from both the front and back
would be tug of war between the fans
How would i know when it does what
on most fans, there are arrows indicating airflow and spin direction
Cause i saw a video from bitwit i think where he put his gpu in a slot far from his cpu as a troll and then he went on to make another video saying that if he puts it closer to the cpu it will be better
Incense???
yep
He like put the fan blowing to the back but i thought that te fan should be directly on top of cpu and facing up and down
Oooh i have those sticks at home
But mine r red and brown
yep
it gives you a consistent source of smoke
helps you see the air flow in your case
So i can raise temperature i see
see if it's disrupted or not
I need to put those in my case
no
Oh i thought u were joking
you light up an incense and put it infront of your case
turn your case on, run something to make the fan spin
then see how the smoke from the incense goes
Where would i want it to go?
if you're doing a neutral set up
air will go from the front to the back
and go up through the vent on the top
yeah
Oooh ok
Are there other set ups for airflow that are more efficient or is the average on the best
I dont plan on ever usinng watercooling cause i dont trust myself
lil noctua 80mm! :D
Ooohhhh
I never even noticed that?
What the heck
Mine is like on top of my cpu going straight up
Oh and another question
Would buying parts and leaving it to sit for a few months be bad for the parts? Or can i just buy one piece then wait like 3-4 months and buy other pieces
Though it is safe for the parts, it's a bad idea
don't drag for too long...
try to finish everything in a month
2 at most
a lesson from my dear friend
Ideally everything is bought on the same day, and everything arrives on about the same day, so you'll still be in the window for returns when you first fire it up. In case anything is DoA (Dead on Arrival)
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FRMYzN is that good? I'm trying to build a PC for my brother and he has a budget of 700$
Woah how did u put a link in???
Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.
try now
tada
Woah whattt how did u do that
you're blue
Meaning??
So, is what I linked good?
I wish i could help but im a noob kray sorry
If I save and exit keeps taking me back here
But it says theres a compatibility issue
Do u know how to solve that after u build the computer?
@next tangle I would personally go for a slightly better motherboard with better VRM cooling, and 3600MHz RAM
you're welcome
aye
U can get that much for a cheap price?
3000-3600MHz would be ideal
Speeds and price don't scale linearily
@next tangle what is ur brother planning to do on that computer
What the heck???
NO SCREW TEAM
Is the difference that big??
lol
cheaper
Aegis gang
I like gskill
me too
Oh danggg
got a kit of neo
oh opp
Thats cheaper but better
mua
Whattt
hahaha
Thats whackkk
I am the quick boi
smh
you just gotta know where to look ;D
I really kinda want to record me snapping team ram in half
smh
and throw it in the trash where it belongs
just send it to me
ghamer
so I can feed it to Chrome
Give it to me, I like free 16gb RAM
pricing bit off I think
I'd go for the 16GB Aegis kit
lmao
F
Whats cas latency
Wegg only 800$ build
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bsmhJb
Column Access Strobe (CAS) latency, or CL, is the delay time between the READ command and the moment data is available. In asynchronous DRAM, the interval is specified in nanoseconds (absolute time). In synchronous DRAM, the interval is specified in clock cycles. Because the ...
Is 99 dollars reasonable for a 650w gold+ psu??
@misty heron model matters ;D
So lowrr = better
MWE gold also OOS if thats what you're looking at
IDK WHAT THOSE MEAN
don't get a 650 watt PSU for a Ryzen 3 if you're on a budget
I guess the thingys dont carry over
I got ryzen 5
cuz my settings
oh ok Ryzen 5
Im not buying atm
I am planning to buy at a future date so imma be constantly updating every few weeks or smthing if new parts come out
Buy would 99$ be reasonable
Or is that a scam @stoic island
There are other factors in play other than wattage and 80+ rating, but that particular PSU at 100$ is worth it.
ouch why does CX550 show on PCP as 199 USD
Ppp says i only need like 413w so idk if i would need 650w
is it oos
yea
out of stock
out of stock
Well it's good if you upgrade to better stuff later
gotta check smth
So upgrading is better or just starting off brand new cause my current build is like 4 years old
Yeah cause i dont think i need 650 tbh
You can get a 550w one, if you can find one in stock
Not planning to buy atmmm hei
lol
And stock could take months to get back in
Does it even matter if its bronze silver or gold?
Yeah im planning to wait that long i cant even go to work cause of rona
no, because that barely tells anything about actual PSU quality
I only have 1000 in my acc rn
And im not trying to live off of ramen for months
So i can get like a bronze psu and it could work for several years on end @cursive wharf
There are more to be considered
like
a lot more
than just wattage and 80+ rating
Really?
Yes
What other varibles come into play when choosing psu?
Protections, Fan fan failure rate sometimes, GPU shutdown issues sometimes,
voltage regulation/ripple, protections (and whether they work properly), transient response, capacity quality, fan quality, noise (both from fan & coil whine), whether it's group regulated, whether it's multi rail, how good the solder quality is, what the failure rate is, and what the average failure of the PSU causes
power ok hold up time
How do i check those?
How much is too much for a case? I’ve decided I want out of my budget case and into something good, and I have my eyes on the Corsair 500D SE, but the $250 price tag is halting me
and as it turns out, time between power ok and complete shutoff
Dang thats somuch
for G3
Sharkshot i feel like 100 would be too much
Cause u dont really focus on the case that much when ur on ur computer
did we mention inrush current
Hey mates I hope everyone’s doing well. I had a quick question, I had my parts selected for my PC, but it turns out with shipping it’s going to cost wayyyyy more. So I’ve spent the last little while tweaking my parts and got the prices more manageable. The last think I need to do which I want your advice on is what cheaper case should I get. I was really stuck on the Fractal Design Meshify C mid ATX tower, because I think it’s a great case. But it’s over $150 (not including shipping), so I found this other case for $85 (not including shipping) it seems like it’s good. But I want your opinion on it? Or what cases do you recommend that has lots of space, multiple ssd/hdd sections and has a glass side panel for under $100?
G2/P2 was legitimately bad PWR_OK. G3 I think was just kinda short
Well it’s $96 on amazon
I looked at it
I really want/need my 280m radiator on top as well, which is what’s throwing me off
Return of jedi get nzxth510
Do you recommend it?
It looks nice hahaha
But still arguably safe for them anyways. Made that post as a potential warning rather then a "this 100% kills things"
I looked into the NZXTH510 but it doesn’t have the best air flow
Looks like theres the red thingy for cable management and there seems to be a basement for psu
Is the case I sent bad?
Idk about airflow im still noob
Same, but I did a lot of research on it
So dont take what i say tok seriously
time to look for GN review :D
Gn?
Gamers Nexus
airflow is considered as basic at first but is very complex in trying to understand actual airflow patterns
They do great review work
:p
Ah, I just know the fractal design Meshify C has better air flow
Oh u arent gning?
And the cooler master NR600 supposedly does
Why are the 550w bronze 80+ psus more expensivethan the 650 gold 80+????
I just don’t know what good case to get, that has multiple ssd/hdd slots, glass side, and lots of space for under $100
Ahhh i see
And has good air flow
Ah
Tampered glass on side and idk about slots bit i like it
Too much wattage is bad right?
The main thing I’m worried about is airflow
Okay, so @misty heron the exact model matters
for the bunch of reason we listed above
Hi I have a question
Oh btw that long list for psus @stoic island and @cursive wharf how would i find out what a good quality psu woudl be
PSU Tier List 4.0 rev. 12.4 welcome to the brand new PSU Tier List! Created and maintained by @DatTestBench, @Stefan Payne, @GreatMasterAden, @Juular, @Elisis, @Maurice from Madagascar and @LukeSavenije Last Update: 12-04-2020 Tiering of various units is opinion based off repu...
Ooh narutoo
That does a great job of generalizing the capabilities of specific PSUs
It takes a look at the long list that was given and gives the PSU a tier
based on how good the PSU is
I just finished building my pc and when I pressed the power button on the case the blue light blink but then it never stayed on but the gpu’s light stayed on??
Does your motherboard have debug lights
Like these things
It’s my first pc built
Yayyu first built lets goo
Those tell you why stuff doesn't boot
It does not
L
those are usually in the top right part next to the ram
might not look exactly like that
Why can’t I send u a pic??
levels
Recommendations for best cost-effective x570 mb?
@lyric thistle I don''t really know how to fit that under 700$, he's gonna only be gaming
Like a month or so from now
Can I text I privately???
Asus X570-p is usually pretty good
Who ever wants to help me
Right click on my name and click message
Will probably need wifi tbh
if thats what you're asking
Build going away from router
uhh lemme check then
@next tangle can us end link again
@next tangle what in particular?
Well when X570 tomahawk wifi comes out, that would be good
For sure
I heard people complain about vrm on the tomahawks
@lyric thistle hold on, i'll try
If u look hard enough
well, 2400MHz isn't great for AMD
@next tangle there was better ram for cheaper
o
I can send u the link for it
Installed a new power supply display port Dosent work now any troubleshoots?
And I don't think I can put a better PSU since the PSU prices shot up
^
?
For ur pcbuild
Also what games r ur brother playing
Is he like playing kid games like roblox and minecraft?
He's 17
but he does like to play roblox
ME TOO
and minecraft for his girlfriend
phantom forces all the way
he has a cheap laptop
Ahh i c
girlfriend 😳
Egirl?
egirl egirl
lol
he parents own a setup
Sure she isnt
but I'm gonna put a list together for my brother's pc under 500
hmmmm
Get a load of this guy @lyric thistle
@foggy hazel you around?
that's what I've edited so far
My friend is selling his laptop with an rtx 2080 mobile max Q
psu
Ohhh right
i need a psu
L
Try looking for one here
PSU Tier List 4.0 rev.
Try getting on i think around 450 would be fine
you can get a GTX 1660 Super for around 240 from what I can tell on PCP, vs the 5600XT for 280
is the 1660 super better than a 2080 mobile max q?
probably not xd
see
I'm gonna go used for the GPU
for a 1070 ti, it's 259.95
That'll make some headroom for the PSU
44$ :/
okay well he just told me his budget is now 750$..
so 94$ for a PSU
the GPU in the list you linked about is the 5600XT?
ok
@next tangle can u try getting 240 or 256gb for ssd then a fatter drive for hdd?
Or are the games ur friend plays heavy
Sorry lemme reword. What games does ur friend play?
Heavy
and he plans on uploading
his current laptop holds like 260 gigs
and he needs more
Uploading videos?
yup
Cant u put those on an hdd? @lyric thistle
https://modmymods.com/evga-450-br-80-bronze-450w-power-supply.html that psu has good reviews on pcp
and you can
but it'll be slow
I want him to experience how fast it is
There are some cheaper storage for 500gb ssdd
Idk if they r good or not tho mrmaniac3 inputs?
I use something called userbenchmark
ST2000DM008 is the best current hard drive imo
and those SSD's are slow
There are slow ssds???
some are
when i say slow, i'm comparing it to the m.2 ssd i listed
check out that SSD list ^^
Silicon power A80/Team MP34 best value rn
yeah I've seen the a80
How would i determine which ssds are good from the list??
Bro its 6 dollars over budget
Oh no
Get it down get it down!!!
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I think it looks pretty good
don't use my word as a particularly good word though 😉
I'd use that computer tho tbh
Im bigger noob than u xD
Power supply can kill a drive right?
looking for recommendations for rgb led strips with 12V 4-pin connectors
@edgy cape A bad power supply can kill anything
And it won't just kill... it'll commit mass murder
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NHCnJb anyone know any cheap budget fans to throw into this one?
Fried GPU is the worst part
@eager chasm ?
Arctic P12
ye that was what I was thinking
I'll get some f12s then
@foggy hazel @edgy cape needs your assistance :)
@little leaf u should spend like 10 more bucks and go for the seagate 2tb hdd
@next kestrel trying to stay as close to 650 as posible with future upgradibiltiy
actually :oo
@foggy hazel
Need help with power supply
check pins dance
It sad
:((
@stoic island anything better than what I got for the list above staying as close to 650? with upgradibility for the future?
Fair nuff
@little leaf PSU pricing is all over the place, normally that wouldn't be great, but right now I think that's all we got xD
yeah maybe if u dont care about modular go for https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Rxprxr/seasonic-s12iii-650-w-80-bronze-certified-atx-power-supply-ssr-650gb3
idk i feel like psu taking up like 1/6 your budget is kinda wack
?? lmao
So I plugged my old psu back and still no boot priority I’m guessing it kileld my hardrive and ssd?
Wack no idea
It’s a sea sonic gold plus 80
ik about future upgradability
750w
but is any 700$ system gonna pull over 500w?
Instead of some Trust PSU yaknow
But is your cheapo 450w gonna have more than 1 pcie connector for any bigger GPUs?
with rebate
:p
evga bq
Cheapy on psu no good
true
and the cv450 for my other build i think has it?
got it from
for like 20 with rebate
URL : cv450
Reviews : cxm 750
thank you amaon, very cool
Like
If this was on Newegg I wouldn't have had any confusion
Agh
God-damned Amazon
@next kestrel but Newegg had amazing specification pages
well it's running
yeah, newegg makes up for the reviews with basically the company website on their specification pages
that;s a fan header
amazon doesnt bother putting things in specifications lol
bruh in amazon i have a hard time even finding the panel types sometimes lul
Like example, random GPU, you can see the port connectivity, the TDP, and the power delivery all on the same page
Same thing on Amazon and all you get is this
Ah but could I run SLI? You don't know
Do I need 8+8 power or 8+6 power? You don't know
TDP? You don't know
Also that 15.5ghz speed lmao
Memory speed too lmao
It had a base clock of 1550mhz get it right
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NHCnJb @stoic island best parts for price right?
one last check before I give it to my friend
I would recommend a slightly better ram kit for a few more dollars, like gskill ripjaws V, but it's not really needed and it looks good
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2tydYH is that a good list for my parents, they just want a pc for browsing the web
budget is 250$
Only web browsing?
yes
Absolutely nothing else
Y lol
Aight they wont be downloading anything?
Looks fine
alright
AND WE'RE GONNA PLAY MINECRAFT WITH RTX ON 😉
PLUS 3 GTA 5 INSTANCES RUNNING AT ONCE WITH MAX SETTINGS
Does anyone know of a semi modular 500-600W PSU? I can’t seem to find one in my psu budget which is $50-$100.
@fallow schooner you can easily get full modular 550watt with tgat
But maybe not at the moment
Sweet, yeah I’ve been trying to get parts to build my first pc while I have nothing to do but nothing is in stock
Thank you!
Would recommend rmx550w but really hard to find atm
If you check the pinned messages you can see what psu is good before you choose it
@fallow schooner https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40/

Oh, this helps a lot! ty
my brother found a 1660 ti, 165hz 0.5ms monitor and rm750x psu all for 5.39$ each
and it's arriving tomorrow
i'll tell you if it's real
ordered on amazon
with prime
I saw some seller selling an x570 for five dollars too off amazon but the lister was gone before I could actually buy it
Yeah
5.39 only
i found a 1600x and some other things
and a few x570 mobos
so we bought some to see if it's real
They took it off within 10 minutes of me finding it
since it's 5.39$ each, what's there to lose
Hm
Well
Let me know lol
@little leaf this is still 138
I mean it’s up 20 dollars but still better than a 200% price gouge
Hi I have a question
Does it matter what psu you use for the motherboard??
I have a ASUS prime b450 a-csm and a 500w psu
Technically no, but it's recommended you don't use low quality PSUs
In the pinned messages is a link to a tier list of PSUs based on quality and reliability

Hello I’m very new to pc and I want to get one but I don’t know what to do
I want to build one but I’m a novice so I think pre built would be better
we always encourage building, but right now is not a great time to get a pc since certain events, many things are high in price or out of stock
you could still build a pc tho if you need
Ok so I should wait then
If you can, it would probably be better
Ok that cool I just want a gaming pc but I don’t have a huge budget
Does it matter what psu you use for the motherboard??
@static briar
Yes it CAN matter, as in don't use a Chinese bargain basement IED for a PSU...bad things could (and usually do) happen...See Exhibit A
Check the Pinned messages for the PSU tier list, generally anything from Tier C and above is find (Tier C kind of pushing it but still acceptable for people who have a strict budget to keep in mind), preferably Tier A or higher is where you want to get your PSU from if at all possible.
I need help badly
I’ve just installed a 1660 graphics card and I’m getting no images on my monitor it’s loading just not showing
Please ignore the cable management it was a pre build without a graphics card in it
Hmm
It will load and just won’t post
I'm not actually sure. You could try resetting the cmos
oh
It will post without the graphics card in there
is ur cable connected to the gpu
like hdmi monitor cable
cause my dumbass connected it to the motherboard one time
and it didnt showt he picture
XD
Does it matter what psu you use for the motherboard?? I have a ASUS prime b450 a-csm and a 500w evga psu
Because for some reason my pc won’t turn on
My monitors don’t have hdmi ports they are pretty old and use vga I’ve plugged it in to my tv and it still doesn’t work
This might sound dumb but are you sure you switched the psu on?@static briar
Yeh
Is this a new build?
Did you test boot before you put it together
What is that??
Where you check to see if the components post outside the case before you put them all together in the case
Nah I didn’t do that how do I do that?
Well its too late now I was just asking
Wym ??
Something might not be seated correctly
Like I see a light on the gpu and motherboard put when I go to turn it on from psu but when I turn it on from the case it stays the same
Or maybe they gave me a bad part
Does your motherboard have a led indicator for errors @static briar
Ok
All those sticks have the same latency and speed so pick whichever one is cheapest @misty heron
oh really ? that tufff
I would get the black ripjaws personally
So there is nun I can’t do ??
@static briar I'm not sure and I need to go rn but I'm sure someone else will help you. Sry I wasn't of much help
Kk
@buoyant flame justegg bc they look nice?
would 1x8 or 2x4 be better for ram?
cause i see a 1x8 stick for 35 dollars
2x4 for dual channel if you don't plan on upgrading soon
But I'd suggest upgrading to 16gb whenever possible
So I'm getting a ryzen 5 3600 today and I was wonding of I should be thinking about upgrading my gpu as well it's a Rx 570 8gb card
Anyone else wants to help me ??
It will post without the graphics card in there
@hushed cipher
reset the CMOS (power down PC, then remove power cord and battery, let sit for about 30 seoconds, then you most likely will need to boot into the BIOS and configure the system to use the external GPU (the GPU you just installed) then reboot and allow to boot, your PC is trying to use the IGPU (integrated GPU) it came with and we need to tell it not to use that
@stoic island i dont play heavy games tho so would i still really ned that
Does it matter what psu you use for the motherboard?? I have a ASUS prime b450 a-csm and a 500w evga psu
@static briar have you seen my comment above? I am pretty sure I did reply to this and provided an answer to you?
@stoic island how do i even set up dual channel?
@misty heron to "set up" dual channel just plug in your two sticks of memory in the proper "channel" (usually labled in pairs with A1, B1 - A2, B2) and your good to go, 8 GB is honestly the minimum I would go with modern day, 16 is slowly starting to become the new norm out there in the wild...
NOTE: if you have more just rinse wash and repeat as applicable
@stoic island sorry if I took over with what you were helping with 😄 I yeild it back to your hands 😄
Don't worry, I'm just jumping between general and here doing random stuff
cool
@pastel briar ok thanks so when rebooting should i put the card in or after ive doen everything
if it can POST with the card in then just leave it in and boot to bios (some boards need something plugged in to "detect" what to switch to, or enable the option)
nooo but i want it as cheap as possible
ok it wont post at all with the card in
cause my mommy doesnt want me
just make sure (going off memory here) you have your display plugged into the intigrated GPU (mother board on board out put)
spenind all of my money
the cheaper the whole thign
the faster i can try to get it
ok my displays are always connected through the main io off my motherboard
@hushed cipher have you attempted to boot with your display plugged into the GPU you added in or did you leave them in the mainboard?
i cant plug them in to the gpu as my displayes are old and use vga but i plugged it in to my tv via hdmi and still nothing
ok
It’s done it again it will not post with the gpu plugged in
wait why is dual channel better than single?
@hushed cipher have you reset the bios and change the input options?
@misty heron performance gains
oh and i had a question
in the cpus and mobos and memory chat
if ur uhhh free
hehe
VGA to HDMI adaptors exist, you know. And are relatively inexpensive.
No I’ve been in to the bios but I don’t have a clue what the hell im doing I’ve just seen this video to disable my onboard graphics through device manager
@hushed cipher what board are you using?
is m2 datadrive better than 2.5"
I’m not sure it’s a Asus one
ssd*
@hushed cipher do you still have the box it came in, if you do the model should be listed some where on that, that will help me get relivent info to try and help you out better
depends on if it is nvme or not
nvme?
No it was a pre build I’ve had for many years
nvme is an interface for m2
And it was only using the on board graphics
so if its nvme then its better than 2.5"
yes
i see i see
if not then it is basically a sata ssd in the m.2 form factor
yes?
would getting a 3600x be better than 2600x?
yes
I have all the parts to my computer but not the cpu can I build the computer and install the cpu last instead of first
which one is 7nm
3600x
@pastel briar that’s my bios page
a 3600 is prettyt mcuh the smae but with one less clock speed
yeah @tranquil dust
@modest kraken no
thats where it shgows on my bios
it will be a pain in your rear to install the CPU and cooler when it's already installed in the case
best to wait
and install it into the mobo before you put it in the case
cpu first always
yea i agree with @stoic island
don't be like the verge
lol
1 less clock speed?
@wary geode so 3600 and 3600x is the same but clock speed for 3600 is slower?
basically
@misty heron stock clock is slower
by how much?
you can just get a 3600 and oc it to 3600x speeds
like 300 mhz or so iirc
oops i meant it has a boost clock increase and a ase clock increase by a few percent
200mhz
its bout 200 mhz faster tho
Not for most people, you'll notice it in benchmark scores but thats about it
Your just gaming right?
Then it won't be noticeable for you
i would just gte the 3600 cheaper i guess...
yeah good choice
yeah
if you never plan on overclocking, the x version isn't worth it
I'm rocking the 3600 myself and it's great
