when my gtx 780 went out it was ouit of warranty and they sent me a used 970 anyways
Oh, ya, that's a great reason imo - I'm very vocal for my support in that manner
i have thier gpu,case,aio,psu
Can u change the fan in the psu?
anytime fans are iffy i get new ones for free so i cant argue
idk im not gonna open it up
Currently in the test bench, psu, mobo, , well, that's it, but 3 other psus
oh, gpu, and other dead gpu
are there boards better than say strix?
Blanket statement - but even so, no because board(s) plural
what like motherboards?
some are better than others. depends on design and features
short answer yes
yeah
Basically - evga has had disappoiinting mobo's since the sr-2 until the z390 dark.
more expensive ones
Oh, the x299 dark I mean, then the z390 dark after that was just as great
I wait for the day EVGA makes amd boards
yea i cant spend 500 on a mobo
Meanwhile the benchmark recordbooks are asus XI apex or asrock z170 MOCF, XI gene, msi etc down the line
x299 dark is often 200 - 350 on sale - but ya, asus has the marketshare advantage by a mile
Bios support, community consensus of inertia further contributing to a large knowlege base to help users troubleshoot
hopefully the new intel boards wont be too expensive
if i was gonna spend 300 id get this one tbh https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813119150?Description=z390 asus&cm_re=z390_asus-_-13-119-150-_-Product
Theo has one. I'd pay $150 or so for one personally
the maximus?
Actually no I'd still rather coffe mod an M9A or M11E, or just a Gene any gen
Any good
Not tryna spend to much money
Only hav a 1500 budget
I dont care for msi better
Is there a asusu mobo similar to this one
Preferably less than 250
maybe the asus strix z390-e i think it is theyre the same price i believe
mid tier z390 msi board. if you like it, go for it
Im jus buildin a cheap pc for now
this is the i was gonna buy https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813119151
but after lookin g at the maximus might spend the extra 100
Then gonna start gettin the high end parts for my next build
Board, cpu, memory , cooler, psu - really everything is contingent on other selections due to total budget constraint alone
Best to start a parts list, revise and fork as necessary.
Ya I already planned it out mostly
Im just makin sure im not buying crappy parts
TL;DR - aorus pro, and better, the ultra are superior hardware, at least on paper. Objectively. The Asus boards , say the code - ignore hero/formula - has a bios that is, however, preferrable to many.
something im working on for new small screen on side panel
need to pay for aida lol
lol
Im just not a fan of ryzen
im going back intel; when 10 hits
what is that?
@finite sable u mean the picture?
depends on what cpu u have
I7-8700
okey intel is less pciky so yea it should work
heck my ryzen 5 3600 is running on 2400mhz ram lol
i run mine on 3200mhz
i can oc them put its very little performance increase
newegg has 2tb nvme ssds for 195 btw
Tridents on sale on newegg also
i can go higher but it gets unstable and i kno nothing about OC memory timings so i leave it be
firecuda is the new m.2
yea but to get a 2tb firecuda its like 450 us
Ya i was lookin at those but theyβre a bit pricey
i have 3200 read 1800 write atm i could only imagine 5000 read and 4000 write
no imagine 2 in raid 0
but i think u need x570
theyre pcie4
i have the asus x570-i itx
hopefully intel 10 series boards will have pcie4
Save the trouble, don't raid
planning on going no hdds
Or, just backup important stuff first
my board can support 2 m.2 ssds
i never worry about files anymore i have the onedrive it saves all my documents
my x370 has 2
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Strix-X570-I-Gaming/ thats my board
Ah, well, if I didn't care about my files either, I'd raid away as well haha
Just be careful
i never raid
What I mean is, liekly diminishing gains
doesnt it heat up ur drives?
access latency could increase or remain within margin of error - windows file management, microsoft defender, and single thread processing power limits could only let the drives run full speed in a handful of situations - but hey, maybe you're far more experienced at confiduring tieried storage than I had guessed, they're nice drives, they'll be fast regardless of config.
when im ready to get on etheyll most likely be cheaper
@tidal bluff what do u think of this one? https://www.microcenter.com/product/608455/inland-performance-1tb-ssd-3d-nand-m2-2280-pcie-nvme-40-x4-internal-solid-state-drive
hmmm no clue its not a known namebrand atleast not to me
CPU- Ryzen 5 2600 (115)
Motherboard- B450m Steel Legend M-ATX (80)
GPU- GTX 1080FE (360)
PSU- 700w Bronze+ (40)
Storage- Team Group 512 SSD (40)
Gave my cousin 16GB of ram and Wraith Prism cooler
Is this a good build for $763 dollars? (budget was like $800)
did i do good :[
oop correction $772
that comes with tax
includes tax*
Pretty good
Gonan spend sub 1000 on a FE1070, 2700x, 500gb nvme, 750 gold PSU, and 16gb 3200mhz ram
So I'm trying to build my own pc and would like to take advantage of the holiday to purchase some of the pricier components. If I'm being completely honest, I know very little about what to select. I would like to future proof a little bit and make sure that it is capable of comfortably running VR (leaning towards rift, if that matters). I don't really know what to look for when it comes to bundles. I think I'm leaning towards an i7-9700K. I don't know the first thing about overclocking, so I'm not too worried about that. I know that I'm going to want a motherboard that supports all the extra bells and whistles. I'm not sure what's better when it comes to ram - to get 2 16 gb sticks or 4 8 gb sticks. I know I want a lot of storage for movies and games and music and photos. I would like a nice cooling system, but I'm not looking to make the shiniest box or the most high tech, so the extra little LEDs don't feel necessary and I'm not sure that liquid cooling is necessary.
I was talking to a Newegg customer service rep and they pointed me this direction. Anyone got a crash course on what I should be looking for?
For gaming i would lean more towards the Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700
Is asking "why" silly? Or just annoying.
price to performance
Or you can even go for the 3800X which this is like the performance difference https://i.gyazo.com/cacbcf4c4d68470ad921f10285336a14.png
that seems like the obvious choice would be the 3800X. What, if anything, is being sacrificed in the process?
for gaming i would go 9700k
eh. overclocking potential. The whole appeal to the 9700k is you can crank it up to atleast 4.8 ghz all core with decent cooling
id disagree with you Otroud
well since u showing user bench lets show the whole userbench
Why don't you show the right processor
the 9700k 4th place the 3700x 12th
im comparing the 2 cpus at the same price 3800x is 400
mainly because the 3800x is just a binned 3700x with basically the same overclocking potential
effectively paying more money instead of just ging into your bios and adjusting the multiplier from 36 to 39
if not at the same voltage as each other
How are they also the same price since on your image there is like a 35$ difference
I guess my question is not necessarily what is newest/most recent, but what is tried and true and will stand the test of time? From what I've heard Ryzen is becoming increasingly respected in the pc community, but Intel has been at this craft for a long time
your probably gonna get more life out of a ryzen realisticly
I'm willing to spend over a grand on a computer. Potentially up to 2.
Overall i would go with Ryzen since the boards as well there will be future upgrade paths while with the 9700K if you plan on replacing it in the future you need to buy a new motherboard
Dood 329 and 339 is still not the same price
well we dont really know how long the am4 socket is going to stay the same
youve always had to buy new boards with intel thats nothing new
atleast through next year
its 10 dollars different quit nitpicking
2021 I think was where they said it might change depending on if they need to adjust things in the socket
If AMD was to do AM4+ good chance that would be in like 6 to 10 years
horse shoes, hand grenades, and pc components π
difference not different
they already saidafter zen3 they will change socket
yea its not gonna be the same socket for that long
so this is part of where it becomes greek to me
okay im building a computer for the first time and i dont have a ton of money, i just want it to be compatible with a gigabit internet connection, and i want it to be able to run 4-8 apps simultaneously that are realtime music making apps (native instruments. serato, presonus studio 1, and browser and possibly other effects chains software.
i had my heart set on intel, but after speaking with someone here last night it came to my attention ryzen may be better
im open to any builds was trying to take advantage of black friday and i have a list of parts on sale
can anyone help?
ryzen is getting good but i wouldnt say better
i wouldnt say better either.. cuz im a intel fanboy but my wallet wants me to check into it. lots of articles saying they are about the same online.
Ryzen is actually getting better and better
but they used to say that even when intel was WAY better. i just dont wanna be left behind. i want this to grow with m e
last desktop lasted me ten years
its still kickin, the i5 just is too slow.
i already upgraded to samsung evo ssd and it didnt help.
for multiple apps at once ryzen with more cores is going to treat you better
budget determines what parts
i can get a thread ripper for 1900x for 149$
yay nay?
if yes, mother board recommendations?
and then, gpu? im broke and my friend ran my computer over with their car.. craziest thing ive ever seen.. #techpancake
I wouldnt reccomend TR unless you need the PCI express lanes
motherboards are expensive comparatively and its dead end now
yes i am seeing this now
:l
you never trust userbenchmark on cpu's
they just made it worse again, ranking gaming fps over everything else in looks and they made multicore even less important
if you don't have an "big" budget I'd say go with an r5 3600 @narrow marlin
I'm trying to find cheap card for my PC what do you think about MSI Radeon RX 570 8GB ARMOR OC 8GB GDDR5 it will be connected with ASUS ROG x570 STRIX E. As I told yesterday I don't need good graphics card - just display port for monitor π
I would say get a cheaper mobo and put the extra budget towards a better gpu
@limpid merlin I'm thinking about Ryzen 3900x
3900x, strix x570, and an rx570 is a weird combo
ur gonna be bottlenecking your cpu a ton in any kind of gaming
this PC won't be for gaming just for CAD and simulation
I would put extra budget for a RAM or M.2 SSD
I dont need case fans for the thermaltake p3 do i
I still look at usberbench comparison - takes 10 secs, if the data is obviously not valuable to the question at hand - ctrl+t (x gpu) vs (hit enter) look at most recnet video card reviews by toms, andandtech, guru3d, TPU, HWUB, GN the usuals, I try to find the most recent video card reviews that also include the card in question
Anyone able to go in call with me to help me build my pc
@peak stag what exactly you need help with?
The general building of it
@peak stag YouTube brings, got me through majority of the build, then when I had questions @coarse coral was there to save the day
Hey everyone, I'm not very knowledgeable on pc parts and I really need advice on what to buy to improve my pc with newer parts.
whats your current build
Easy way to share that? I don't know off the top of my head
and then share the url at the results page
run the free download
b-85 chipset wow π
Don't know what that is lol
your motherboard chipset... she pretty old π
oh ok
not really much you -can- improve on honestly.
What do you recommend then
Just buying a new prebuilt computer?
Like the ssd is just poor in general?
no the ssd is great.
I'd sell cpu, mobo, ram, psu, almost certainly if planning on upgrade, maybe keep gpu, can always retain option for future upgrade, bu
I think he has the ssd plugged into the wrong slot
Oh, maybe , but issue #1 is the 14GB of free space on boot 120GB drive haha
Since peak read is 252 - that would imply sata 6, no?
minor issue tho
So is buying a prebuild PC a good option? and be able to use some of my good current parts as upgrades?
Building saves $, buying saves time/effort , howmuch depends no your level of interest in this kind of stuff as well as experience
Buying sounds safer and more appealing because I have almost zero experience in building and don't really want to have to spend extra time buying every part and researching parts
But I wouldn't know a good PC to buy.
whats your top dollar to spend
No more than 1.5k
oh shoot ight
give me a bit
no
no!
you can make a super good build/prebuilt
and not worry about upgrading for the longest time
thats what i want
so mid-high tier pc
Isn't AMD bad?
lol no
amd Ryzen has the leg up right now.
ok whatever
I wouldn't get that one
So looking at these links all I recognize is the prices, I don't know how to decide other than price because I don't know what all these specs are
no?
ahhh didn't catch that my bad
If you can send your like top 2 or three recommendations and say the differences in them
or not lol
theres sooooo many to choose from though
all those builds linked will run the games you want on high/ultra
from 1k to 1.5
if I had a pocket full of cash, i'd get https://www.newegg.com/abs-computer-technologies-mage-m-ala154/p/N82E16883102838
Im more familar with nvidia because thats what i have now
but is there nothing to worry about switching
?
yeah id probably go with that or the first one I linked
switching?
swtiching from nvidia to amd
you mean intel?
sorry 2nd one I linked
Can't go wrong with a 3700x, 2060 or higher, decent nvme boot, and 3200 (3600 best :)- 16/32GB mem in a pre-built
It'll go a long, long way until, or if you ever end up feeling like any part of such a system is weak - 2019 is a great year for PC
especially right now, this very moment.,
https://www.newegg.com/asus-rog-strix-gl10dh-nh764/p/N82E16883221574 or the one notbox put up
such killer deals
Yep, easily $40 off top tier memory kits, $20 + off similar ssd's, same stuff I'm typing from tbh
yeah
thats for the one Vapelord linked
3700x is over kill for games if that helps you.
you'd probably never need to upgrade for the next... I don't know.. 10 years.
lmao
lol okay
One note - swapping the cooler out yourself is an optino - the prism makes for a nice tree ornament - but it's a little involved pc internals wise for those unacquainted
Tiny performance gain - but could be dead silent if that's a priority
Not really concerned with pc noise
Good news, newegg sells fans as loud as you want them
hahhaa
Should I post that fan eating paper gif
yes
you know newegg has a compare button? π
half speed haha
I want the 5700xt anniversary edition and eventually watercool it
Unnamed parts in the build info is kinda a "let's look into this sign"
the more expensive PC has better graphics, better ram, more storage
better motherboard
bigger PSU
You'll find the users here pretty split over Team red/green preference, the 5700 xt vs 2070 super split is paticularly divisive
so besides being a blower, performance wise 5700xt anniversary or 2060s
2060S
really @sudden turret
Get a blower 5700xt water cool it
buuut id water cool it
@sudden turret liquid devil
PG here
So, if you have a strong interest in water cooling, budget must be a bit more relaxed, have you considered the 5700 xt strix? Robust card for OC potential, waterblocks should be widely available despite non referene
@little osprey Can always get the liquid devil card
but he didn't say anything about water cooling
Can someone help me with a laptop?
It comes with a waterblock
On that note, EVGA is having a sale on waterblocks for ost cards
Kingpin
Hello. I am wondering that if I buy an MSI GS65 from your website with 16 gb of ram, will I be able to upgrade it to 32gb for 3D modeling and rendering? If so, how much ?would it cost and what ram would I use? Thanks!!!!!!
I thought he did
if I get the anniversary it wont be watercooled for a bit
but yes I want to watercool my whole pc
Nice, it's a fun endeavor, just budget accordingly
@granite ridge yeah u can
yeah something new to try out
@elder canyon what ram should i use. I have no experience
@granite ridge
I heard they sell kits to make the blower 5700xt watercooled
@sudden turret so does it already have 32gbs?
Does the GS65 have two ram slots? If so, what ram would I use to get 32gb? What part?
I have 16
I need 32
Oh thats a kit
Just find another 16gb stick
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare?CompareItemList=83-102-838%2C83-221-574 These don't have hard drives right?
What part works the best? I have no clue what ram to get?
can you link the exact laptop you got
no @trim sky
I found that here : https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/MSI-(Micro-Star)/gs65-stealth-thin-037
Thanks. Is there anything cheaper? Or is that the only kind.
@sudden turret doesnt he only need 1 stick
https://www.aquatuning.us/water-cooling/kits-systems-and-aios/all-in-one-gpu/25246/alphacool-eiswolf-240-gpx-pro-amd-radeon-rx-5700/5700xt-m01-black would this be suitable for the 5700xt @little osprey
@gaunt fiber so would I need to buy a harddrive then and just put it in
yes @trim sky
or could I check if my current harddrive would work?
your current will work
Sure - but I would really research more to ensure that that product is going to perform /bring about the performance benefits you expect from it
okay for sure
@granite ridge I need to know what mhz your ram is
how do i find it
That is - buy it because you like it for looks, if it works well, makes you happy, w/e - but not because you feel like you need it in order for the card to "shine"
download CPU-Z or Speccy
β’ 16 GB DDR4 2400MHz System Memory (32 GB Max)
ok
it says that on newegg
oh yeah for sure @little osprey
ah ok I didn't se
Avoid speccy these days, same with hwmonitor
do i need two 16gb sticks?
if you want 32gb yes. unless you already have a 1x16 installed.
Oh
I just gave specy a try for curiosity sake - seems like it read every thing correctly - it's missing a lot, but no blatant errors. last time it toldme I had a 7700 laptop
Thanks!
But go into a certain unnamed build uh pc discord and say "speccy" and you'll see what I mean abuot the current dogma
So if I buy a prebuild pc with 16gb of ram should I put my current 16gb of ram in also? is that a thing
Without extensive research yourself, or just asking us - probably not worth the unused benefit- unless you hit photoshop/premier hard
So probably don't then?
If you only play games nah
oh ok
hey what would happen then
if you put different MHz ram together?
or sorry ddr3 and ddr4
it will usually clock down to lowest speed ram
oh ok kinda obvious lmao
not even sure why I asked that type of question......
lol
Well that doesn't sound good
shouldn't have to on an $1,100 machine
yeah very true
I'd go with something that is well ventilated
probably not
if it has even an aio cooler that would help
What should look for then for good ventilation
which it doesn't
front panel intake / mesh
bottom/top intake
like the case I linked you π
lol
can probably find one not as expensive.
I want to get a new case so I have more room to fiddle around with lol
yeah id like the find one cheaper that is ventilated
my case is tight rn
never heard of abs
and it has 16 good reviews
never heard of the brand but still lol
Overall Review: Great all the way through, met and exceeded my expectations, 5/5 would purchase again.
I think we've found your build!
Power supply is fine?
its not rated though right? like gold
is that not a bad power supply @sudden turret
that wont tell me
oh then im not sure how to tell
if your psu is visible it should say
IT
basically if your psu is more than 500 then swap them
I asked him what psu he had
" if your psu is more than 500 then swap them"
500w
told him to change the psu if his currently is more than 500w
like swap them out from his other pc lol
I doubt that it is. :p
lol
given the specs.
how can you help.
idk
because I asked what his price range was and looked for him
π
lmao
I am a noob tbh
What u need help with?
hes looking for a pre built for 1000 to 1500 max
600 watt psu are about 60 dollars
U should look in tech deals
People post good PCs there
Prebuilt
hes not to familiar with pc
^
what about this
Doesn't have a hard drive but I could take my TB one out of my current pc and put it in this?
Thatβs solid
But if u wanted to build ur own u could do slightly better processor
But thatβs a pretty good deal
also if it doesn't come with an extra sata cable and the other lol for your hdd then use the ones from your old pc
I forget the other cable name lol
huh?
Itβs really easy if u can look at YouTube videos but if not then thatβs a good pc for 1k
theres 2 cables that plug into your hard drive
the new pc probably wont come with them
I personally wanted to build my Pc but I wasnβt trusted by my parents and I end up having to buy a gpu and psu to upgrade my prebuilt
so use the cables that are on your current pc and plug them into the new pc
I want to do a complete rebuild of mine but it's a complicated story lol
No
so vape,
no?
Keep the cables that come with ur monitor and just plug those in to the prebuilt pc ur getting
And ur set to go
yeah but he wants to hook his hdd to the new pc
I have a TB hard drive in my current pc that I'd want to put in the new pc
I just wish I would've waited longer to buy mine because I got screwed over by Worst Buy
1 tb is good enough for most people for storage
And u got a ssd
So u should be good?
1TB should be plenty
ive had to delete so many games to get other games
Wait, on a HDD or SSD?
I meant personally not enough
O thatβs thought
1tb not being enough?
I've just got a 1tb hard drive and I'm doing fine as is
But I can install a SSD if I want to upgrade if I ever get a problem
Do I have to worry about compatibility for taking my current hard drive and putting it in the new pc
I think I want to try and get an SSD if and when I ever do this massive rebuild
Thereβs specific cables u need to plug a hard drive into from the motherboard so I donβt know if that pc will have those cables
Yea SSDs are really worth in every Pc
That's why I said use the old ones
Only had the stupid thing 1 year and am wanting to dump more money into my rig to get it where i want it. Essentially I bought on impulse, it's my first rig
What was it?
Ooof I heard they sometimes sell defective PCs
I'm so mad I bought it last year
Anyone able to help me with my build in
Wow that Pc
400 bucks after being discounted 100 or so for black friday
Ya
I got a acer aspire PC for 300 8 gb ddr4 ram i3 7100 and inte he graphics
Hd
π₯³ππ
But the upside is everything except the processor on that pc is upgradeable
Yea
Itβs 2 core clocked at a high 3 gigahertz
I still need my mobo/cpu/case/psu
Yeah, I want to do a complete rebuild and put everything I want in it. I ended up building a few rigs online before I bought mine and they came out around 700 bucks, and at the time I didn't have the money
1700
Yea I did al my research and picked all the parts I wanted but
Ryzen 7 3700X is a Good CPU if u are looking for one
Or if u like intel i7 8700k
I dropped out m.2 and just got a 500gig ssd for the time being
I did all the reserch and Newegg somehow didn't have anything in my price range, so I went WorstBuy and got screwed over
A 600-700 watt PsU I think is good for ur pc
Gah, I want to do everything new except the hard drive and case
Mines only 400 as of now, I think 650-700 should be a good PSU
And i saw that Newegg prices were higher than bestbuy
Yea those are good wattage s for PSU but it depends on the graphics care as well
I just know they screwed me over on an entire rig last year, best buy
Yeah, I've got a cringe GT710, and want to prolly put in a 1650 Super or 1660
how does nvidia geforce 1660ti 6gb compare to the top of line gfx cards
what does that mean
Raytracing is annoyingly overrated
But it can play every game u want at ultra
I was gonna just buy a pre built pc. But after lookin id rather spend that extra little bit
Itβs a good graphics card
Yeah, I think this time I prolly wanna order all the parts online or something
Yea discounts and special bundle offers are good
How much u gonna try and spend on ur bld!
?
Not sure. I've said like anywhere from 4-700 but thats just a guess
So 650w or 750w
I know my mothervoard, GPU and CPU I want
Ok nice
Recommended PSU: 650W for that GPU you have @little osprey
Ive heard really good reviews on the MSI Tomahawk, and I wanna get a AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
so I'd go with 700w.
@trim sky top of the line gpu are wayyyyyyy stronger
Alright
π π
Evga
I kinda wanna go Corsair on a PSU but idk
Evga Corsair are both good brands for psu a
See, I know what I wanna do, I just have no idea on when or how it's gonna happen
especially the SuperNovas
@little osprey what CPU do u want gal?
I7-8700
Ya k
9700 cheaper than 8700
Honestly I'm defenetly going AMD, prices for performance is sooo much better.
Prolly gonna go with 9700then
Yea I favor AMD over intel
I dont like amd
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16883289038?Item=N82E16883289038 I'm thinking about this one? Opinions?
Yeah, my FX6300 is a pretty strong unif for being 8 years old, new as of last year
back in the day I always wanted INTEL, but had to stick to AMD cause I couldn't afford intel
now AMD is back on top. and I'm glad to have Ryzen system.
And i might oc. When i learn how
@little osprey with that mobo, it probably has a 1-click OC method.
Yeah, I defenetly wanna do AMD, the Nividia 16 series really looks good, I just am waiting on 5500 reviews for AMD
I got 20 frames on a good day π
Oh bet. Then Iβll definitely take a look
@coarse coral what do you mean by that
it will run games at 1080p med-high just fine
He means u can play any game at max settings
Definitely wanna get the gpu ocd
I almost bought that case too
that's a good build for being a pre-built
the onei linked notbox?
its 160 for 2700 atm, 2060super is 300-400, 16gb ram is 75 right now for 3200c16, mobo is 75-150
hdd/ssd? depends on how much you want
I mean we probably could coach him along building it..
we've done it before here.
π
Lol. My friend ordering a pc from digital storm.
yikes
Told him hes gettin ripped off
whats the diff between 3.2 ghz 3.6ghz cpu
Nzxt BLD is good for ordering PCS prebuilt
PRICE
breaks, you're paying extra for someone to build it, so on top of that, and table-fees
but for people who don't know much, and just want a nice PC.. it works.
Diy will always b cheaper
I'm fine with paying extra for it being built.
Why they make good cases lol
yes
I hate their cases
Ya
boosts up to 4.1ghz
r7 2700 is a great cpu.
Thermaltake is my go to
Kraken is nice
I checked out the BLD site - I like the idea, totally get the preference for "take my money, give me a gamer rig" but it's hard to put a price on that convenience and piece of mind factor
I'm probably gonna get a Ryzen 5 2600X
Yessir
3600x seems expensive
His budget is 700 Theo
Hmmm

What gpu u got in mind?
I was gona jus cop a 2060
Like a 1650 Super or 1660 or a 5500 AMD
But the 2080 made me wet
lol
I put the 5700xt in my newegg cart about 5 times today
Lol
Yeah, that's what's for me excited too, it's pretty price effective, I wanna see what AMD cops before I make my mind up
Zack?
im not even here smh
Lol
I just need a keyboard and I need to put my mini fridge into my room then Iβll have my whole setup π
Got everything else
Lol, I can't have my dream set-up till I move out
Yeah, my room is smallish so I'm up In our finished attic
frog room?
Iβm scared of my attic
LOL
Guess it's better than the dungeon.
Our attic is furnished
aka basement
Never went up
but, better temps in the basement.
Ye
I donβt know why but my laundry room and bathrooms are the coldest place in my house
We have the pupper in the basement, so I wasn't gonna risk getting it super dirty
Hurts to sit on the cold toilet seat π₯Ά
π
We cook in the garage
We donβt have basements where I live
The soil sucks
My mouse just got shipped
Yay
Now I just need a good keyboard any recommendations?
budget>?'

I donβt care if mechanical
I was thinking Corsair k55 but I heard membrane was bad
clicky or non clicky @austere mango
membrane isn't bad at all
Non
Donβt wanna wake anyone up when I play at night
people get to hung up on the mechanical train.
i'd go with a nice membrane then.

looking for thoughts. I've got an old, but still serviceable r9 390 video card, I've had to rebuild as a lot of parts died recently, the last one I was considering replacing is the video card. It can do everything I want at the moment, but CyberPunk 2077 approaches. I've got almost no budget left to replace it with, save gift cards that would get me a Red Devil 5700 xt. Folks think I would be better to get what I can now and enjoy it for a long time or skrimp and save to find out what the market offers closer to the release date (april)?
RES DEVIL
Ooo that seems glorious
Red Devil 5700 xt

yes
^
benchmark dont' put it at the same level as the 1080 ti that cp2077 was demoing at, so I was concerned.
yeah
and it's also very expensive to buy new
can't really go off benchmarks on something that isn't even released yet in my opinion
^
fair point.
the red devil will serve you well
but I'm sure it'll handle it just fine.
seems unlikely ^_^
a refeurb on newegg is going for a mere 700. (choke)
Whoops didn't see it was a bid
if it was a buy now, you wouldn't have even seen it
lol
Lol true
let us know how you like it
and show us a pic in #build-pics so they can show it off on stream!
such a good deal that it's sold out. sigh
no, it's the Red Dragon
er thats the one I meant to link

π
I can count 600 of them
π₯π€‘ β½οΈ

I'd been looking at the triple fan.
Sapphire Nitro good or should I wait till the red devil's back in stock?
