Nope
are you fine with asrock boards
Assrock? What else is there lmao
I mean the reviews are good

Hmmm
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tdYNkf imo id do this
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Looks good. Mind if you have time to make a AM4 mobo option?
at least on pcpp an am4 mobo is the same cost as an am5 one
and you prolly wont go used for this?
well obv skipping any a520
and theres this one 110$ b550 one but no heatsinks...
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089FWWN62?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1 youd be looking at this

Looks alright. Thanks for your help
Mind if you make a list real quick?
am4 will still work
uhh
quickly yes i gotta go shower and sleep
I don’t have access to my pc rn to make it quickly
alr yeah i can
Also I’m in bed
Part List
I appreciate you
That cooler master is known for really bad coil whine
Part List - Jonsbo Jonsplus Z20 MicroATX Desktop
1 that case is too big
2 you didn’t put a psu or anything else in
Good morning I had an airflow question
My plan is to do something like this but 3 120mm intake instead on the bottom
My cpu cooler is the mag corefrozr aa13 and I think the fan will be blowing towards the left at the tower instead
Is this fine for airflow?
Fine, sure, but better and proper to intake through the front and bottom and exhaust the back and top
Because it can take atx
Yes, and another way to go about it would be to flip that rear fan to exhaust and then that top right fan to intake
Rear intake is a valid setup in sff traditional layout cases too
Is this specific cable needed on my pcie 4 motherboard? B550 Msi mpg Gaming plus
Its a 5.1 pcie cable
12V
That’s for nvidia cards
So i do need it then? I have an msi ventus 2x 3060 ti

Ill just connect the regular one then
Yos
Someone optimize this for me, i tried to do the most budget possible using only reliable and new parts, idc about RGB but i still wan't color scheme to be singular (don't mix random colored parts) and it's for gaming at 1080p https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/7GPz8Q
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5500, Arc B580, BitFenix FLOW ATX Mid Tower
Ah yeah I heard about that one, but I bought the top, rear, and bottom fans from China and arent able to change it 😭
So it's ok to position the cpu cooler fan to blow towards the left?
Any side is good as long as it follows an air flow path
Yeah I understand, but they are jonsbo led reverse and forward fans. I think it might mess up the leds
there shouldn't be anything that happens to the leds if you just flip the fan, at worst it looks a little worse from the outside
🫡
This yo- bro that's just wrong as hell lemme correct that rq
It would be like this with the original fan position I think
I assume that yellow arrow is from the graphics card
Have the yellow the other way
So that would be best?
double check if you have your PSU intake towards the inside or outside
Ideally it would be facing outside
Does that mean psu fan towards the back?
Yeah turn it 'roundd
yes?
This is why i hate itx builds
best case scenario you'd want your PSU getting fresh air not hot air from both the CPU and GPU
it's not like it's going to fail but generally you're going to lose efficiency with higher temperature
Is the psu fan side generally an intake fan?
Idk tbf
Oh yeah I think I was originally thinking of going to the way of the picture to avoid all the air pointing towards the psu
Dude i feel left behind cuz i build PCS for friends family and all for free and i ain't even got a pc (can't get a job i'm 15)
Do you mean the rear being exhaust fan?
You should charge a little bit and save up gradually for a pc
Nah i don't want to make friends pay cuz they already paid for the parts and all 💔
No, we are saying the power supply fan facing the front of the case, to pull in air from outside
Ohh ok understood 🫡
But so the yellow one should 100% be flipped?
Yeah that's fair, that's really nice of you
Experience is good tho, you will be a pro when building your own
Fr but now i'm stuck with a laptop that smh... Runs cs2 (idk how but aight)
💪
I'm a mechanic student hehe
Oo like mechanics for cars?
Yuh
But next year i have to choose lorries cars or bikes
Idk between cars or bikes but i prefer cars
It's more complex
Cars is fun I think, what is lorries?
Two options
Thank you cloudd
🗣️🔥🔥🔥this is real art and peak airflow
Probably pretty close to each other
I really wanted to go with left one
Anyone wanna see my setup? 😀
Left might have slightly cooler gpu temps because of the heat getting exhausted quicker probably, with the cpu getting barely hotter, and vice versa
But I got a 240mm forward fan from jonsbo that I cant break apart

Yeah 😭 , my main worry is all the hot air hitting my gpu and ram from the gpu
Oh 2 120s in one frame
This my build btw
I wouldn't worry about ram
Especially because you won't be overclocking it
🫡
Ima go bed guys it's 10pm
Ngl building my first pc is so stressful, I realized there is so many small details in it
Goodnight turbo, send your build tomorrow
@icy crater it's right there
Oh wait is the wooden table
Peace everyone
I bought the ones in this video
Can you build a gaming PC with a next-generation graphics card for under $1500? Today, we prove that you can. Welcome to the future of budget PC building! 🚀
In this video, we're building and testing a very special PC that combines incredible value with a sneak peek at next-gen performance.
🔥 Intel Core i5-14400F + INNO3D RTX 5060 8GB: The ...
It's kinda silly on my part, i won't even be able to see all of the side 😭
I guess your best option is the right config then
Cause I wont even be using an aio and I just saw the sides kind of cover it
Alright ill try finish building it later today, would you still be able to help me with dual booting after I finish?
Yeah just let me know
If you look on the website, his gpu is too big to use an AIO with a Matx/atx mobo, and if he gets itx he can use a 280mm and he has a 9800x3d soooo
But yes it can fix atx mobo, it won’t work out super well for him
I meant psu
Z20 can take an atx psu
So yes it is bigger but he saves more
Wait I thought jp has a 5800x3d
That’s a bit big of a case…
I think the meshify may take atx psu with itx mobo
omg it totally can
@wide sparrow i did a stupid

my full ATX psu works??
yessir
what psu do you have
also i forgot to mention this but i think youll be fine for 2.5" ssds
amazing. thx
alr your psu is fine
uhhhh
you can put a slim fan on the top if you wanna
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/YCbTwP/arctic-p12-slim-pwm-pst-411-cfm-120-mm-fan-acfan00187a id recommend this
man this is making me wanna downsize my build ;(\
actually.....seems like the wires would get in in the way with an ATX PSU
wdym
its totally possible
OH i just realized that may stop you from having drives...
that didnt stop this guy
hhmmm
also thats like a super similar psu to yours
hm
are you familiar with building with super limited space
and i mean SUPER limited
if not, get a new psu, if you are, you save a good amount of money
nope. but i think i can manage. ive build a micro ATX build once
hmmmmm
go for it
is this an INTEL build?
@wide sparrow you're looking into the Meshroom S V2 as well?
If you get the Fan Extender and Feet add-ons you can use a 353mm GPU in the back and a 360mm or taller AIO/rad so long as it's 120mm wide.
The fan extender has no roof so you can put any length of 120mm wide rad.
perhaps. is there any similar cases that you know that look beter?
That fit an ATX PSU?
Bigger than the Meshroom but the Qube cases may be worth considering.
he wants full compact
so idk if thats a good idea
also a 280mm rad default is just about as big as a 360mm rad, and will funtion the same
Full compact?
Like small matx? Itx with atx psu? Full itx?
Meshroom S V1/V2 is very modular.
Issue is that it's a 280rad with slim fans and one that gets basically half of its air obstructed if an ATX PSU is being used
Vs getting the External Fan Bracket and using a 360 AIO with push or push/pull without air obstruction.
Upgrade your Meshroom experience with our tailored external fan bracket. Crafted from premium SGCC steel with a refined powder-coated finish, it supports up to 360 water cooling in the front, accommodating radiator + fans up to 72mm thick. Optimize cooling effortlessly. **Final sale items, Open-box/Good Condition, pers
@wide sparrow for size reference, the Meshroom S V2 with feet and external bracket is small enough to be brought as a Carry-On on United and a few other airlines.
You won't be able to use a lot of padding or a large case doing so but it also won't be tossed like a football since you are transporting it yourself.
Be warned though, this case with the riser and attachments can get pricey
are you sure its slim fans?
it says 63mm max for rad + fans, the lf3 pro i suggested with normal fans is still that 63mm
oh great
only one you know of?
but... im still not sure why? the config i got for him lets him have itx mobo, his current atx psu, and the 280mm rad with regular fans
hmm
and also a slim fan at the top if you can cable manage with that
good thing i sell all my old stuff
Certain. 63mm is a SFX PSU and assuming the GPU is in rear position.
I will be getting the case as well in the coming months.
Lian Li Dan A3, and Phanteks has a case I forget the name of. Both require SFX psu and either a ITX or M-ATX board.
hm
SSUPD Meshroom S is the most modular and smallest case on the market that can fit a 4 slot gpu, ATX board, and a 360mm rad if you use an SFX psu and case addons.
@wide sparrow I looked into a lot of cases because I fly a lot as you may have noticed.
oh ik
sigh.....I dont like the looks all that much, but for brazil, fine
can get a glass front

ebay has a lot of mods as well
ok
@fallen sphinx well thats not good. all these ITX MOBOs only have 2 DIMM slots........I currently have 4*8 DDR4
@wide sparrow you know you want to be a Meshroom S simp and use an ATX board
hm...maybe
not a good idea. some headers will might not be accessible with the cover on
you know what...its possible
another option
What headers?
the ones on the right side. but it seems it will work with what I have
a3 takes atx psu
Sorta, it limits the options A LOT.
His 5080 will in no way fit if he uses an ATX psu.
Well maybe if he sanded his cooler.
why?
I guess I should've asked. How compact do you need this?
no space. I could maybe use two of my 120s for the AIO
Not really, you can mount it vertically and have it high up
That's if you don't get the feet and fan bracket.
Here is a extreme example of how much you can pack in.
with the feet and bracket addon.
the rear bracket can be moved to the front.
EW
LOL
i see
Still technically SFF, with attachments it's small enough to be a carry-on.
Just don't use a large case for it.
"Hideously functional" but my point is that the brackets are very modular and you can cram a lot in there.
oh no. ATX config messed with thermals
guess this is it if i cant get a 9800x3d bundle
Oh I see now
The a3 doesn't let you put an atx psu way at the top
So atx, only if you compromise on gpu length, or with a lian li edge psu
Don't
@wide sparrow you don't need to go ITX if you get the fan bracket.
Also that board is pretty expensive
For itx it's not so bad.
The asrock b550m itx is $110
mmmmmm
Feet, No Bracket
Feet with Bracket
ah
The bracket fits any size rad so long as it's 120mm wide and within 72mm deep.
Look up SSUPD External Fan Bracket
At that point I would just get the jonsbo z20 because it will be much cheaper and barely be larger
not at all
Elevate your Meshroom S ITX PC case with our fan bracket designed for optimal cooling performance. Made with high-quality SGCC steel and a sleek powder-coated finish, our fan bracket can support a 360 AIO at the front or a thick 360 radiator for a custom loop. Upgrade your cooling game with Meshr...
$38
that probably adds what, only a few liters?
not bad.....
z20 is ~20l
that would be a good option, another good option would be look for used ram
Keeps it within Carry-On limit for United and Alaska Air so it's very compact still.
jonsplus z20?
All while keeping support for full size parts.
Yeah
@wide sparrow if your GPU is within ~330mm you can ignore buying the feet.
For whatever reason pcpp says 25l but that is not true
its only 304mm
Z20 size does not include the feet length if I recall correctly.
i dont think that case will work well with what jp wants
Just get the case, riser, and fan bracket then say hello to the world of SFF with full size parts (except PSU).
i mean....it adds a liitle
He wouldn't have to buy a new psu or ram
image of what the typical joe can expect @wide sparrow
hmm
yes he will
that extra chunk
his current psu is way too big for his 5080 in that case
the ATX is going. need s SFX
im going sfx once i go to college
This way you keep all your current parts like MOBO, RAM, GPU, etc and only need to swap the PSU.
No need to downsize the board or buy denser ram modules.
And using the Redditor's trick you can use the fan brackets in the rear up front to mount fans to cool the ram.
honestly yeah if you dont wanna upgrade cpu, esp rn i wouldnt, thats def the best option
do you alr have an aio jp?
What is the psu length
@wide sparrow
the meshify is smaller, better rads and better overall cooling anyway
no
NH-D15
isnt that chonk
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Lfm3zP alr that should be goog
Part List
Plus @wide sparrow we get to be SSUPD brothers soon then xD.
A bunch of gibberish of me talking about using the before mentioned Redditor's trick of moving the fan brackets in the Case's rear to the front for mounting fans to cool the ram. @frigid edge
Lmao probably enough Linus memes for chat today

ok. doing this. though temps will be a bit toasty
that external fan bracket is........idk
only other way tbh is to get am5 upgrade
seems it might not be possible
yeah ram is pricy
the bundles are sold out....for now
no...nvm
i could sell all my AM4 stuff for $600
get the 7800x3d bundle
100$ cheaper
jp
you do know the differnce in them right
8% in 1080p
i dont think you play in 1080p...
video only has 1080p but you get the diff
i think....ill stick to what I have
prolly 5% diff
yeah, i mean it would be a sizeable upgrade if you do wanna sell the old stuff
hm
AND you can (if you get good manager) trade out the mobo for a itx one so you can go super small
id say this one
How so? GPU exhausts air in it's own chamber and the AIO is isolated from the GPU with fresh air for days.
sorry i might not do it with the bracket
No need to apologize.
but keep everything else at the cost of a little more heat
this case will fit in my carry-on. I did the measurements
That is a great price
@wide sparrow if you get a 280mm aio and SFX psu the temps should be fine.
Not ideal but fine.
doesnt he have an atx mobo rn?
I think it can only fit a 240 in the back if i go SFX with ATX based off one video
yeah... idk man imo id try to sell your old stuff
JP your gpu is too big for that
124mm max
Hmmm I have an idea.
Move the bracket to the front of the case.
And have it setup as exhaust.
Can this channel be used to ask for help regarding setting up a new motherboard, cpu, etc.?
id go the selling old stuff for 600$, then get the mc bundle and ask manager to swap out for itx
@fallen sphinx @wide sparrow https://www.reddit.com/r/SSUPD/comments/1acy1mx/meshroom_s_atx_build_with_360_aio/like
He should be able to use a 280mm rad if he does what this guy did for the ram and moves the PSU to the back or side.
Yes.
isnt his gpu way too big for that
Did you look at the images? the fan bracket in the back can be moved to the front of the case
Okay ty, cause I do need some help for a friend who's installing his new MB n such
also that looks... iffy at best
So the rad would be mounted in front and parallel to the ram.
also he said hes not getting the brakcet
Just trying to think of ways around not using the bracket
I'm aware.
just air cooling
AIO
or, sell old stuff, upgrade to 7800x3d + itx mobo, all issues solved
I love how frustrating SFF is lmao.
im in trouble
we all are
I uuggh
obv it is your choice
but, to me the best option is sell old stuff for 600, upgrade to 7800x3d with itx, then youll have 280mm AIO, atx psu and better cpu/ram
That's assuming he can sell his parts for $600 and do it intime of course.
yeah
I'll buy everything first, install what I need, sell the old @gentle pollen@fallen sphinx
sooo by sell the old thats just psu?
i need to sleep on it
fair
also just keep in mind, decide which route youll go BEFORE you buy or sell anything, you might or might not new need wtv if you do
long post incoming, so, sorry
Recently, my friend got the 3-1 bundle from Microcenter. This bundle is an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, ASUS B650E-E TUF GAMING WIFI AMD AM5, and Crucial Pro Overclocking 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000 PC5-48000.
He tried to build it today, and has been having trouble with his motherboard. There is a solid orange light for DRAM.
I've tried to help him via text and photos, and we've done the following: slotting one RAM stick at a time and reseating it, resetting CMOS battery (and removing the rubber between it and the latch), checking the format of his USB stick to FAT32 and checking the correct BIOS firmware, and letting it memory train. The only thing we have not done yet is to check the CPU mounting (or the CPU itself) because it is late and we've been at it for over four hours.
The BIOS has been installed correctly, but it was after we found out that the CMOS battery was not connected due to the rubber issue. After the BIOS has installed, the DRAM light is still orange.
Is there an issue with any of the parts? Because I, for one, cannot think of anything else that can be a problem, save for sending the motherboard to the manufacturer in hopes of getting it repaired or not.
does the pc work?
He cannot use his motherboard and mouse, and there is nothing on his monitor. His previous motherboard, an AM4, still worked prior to removal.
sounds like dead ram probably
I would be livid if it was
did you ge the microcenter warranty...
No
Couldn't you just return it
Not that long ago, Jan 1st.
yeah return it and get a new one
I could, but I shipped it to him
oh
yeah
Would it be better in this case to ship it to the manufacturer for a replacement?
Okay. Thank you.
Guys I just built my new pc but the fans on it keep ramping up and down!
How do i fix this?
You may need to adjust the chassis fan speed in the bios settings via PWM, with chassis temp
I know I had to do this once, and my fans did not ramp up as quickly as yours did
Omg I need help, the fans connectors on the motherboard is so confusing 😭
How do I figure out what to plug what in? And do I need a fan controller?
So I plug cpu fan to cpu_fan and one of these rgb plugs?
For the other case fans do I plug them into sys_fan and one of these rgb thingys?
Mother board is https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-B650M-A-WIFI
From what I understand, you connect the cpu fan into the CPU_FAN plug. For the cpu rgb, plug it in the JRGB2 at the top. The rgb connector must match the four pins with the plug.
As for the case fans, it depends, if you must daisy-chain them or not. But they should be plugged into SYS_FAN1, SYS_FAN2, and SYS_FAN3; and JARGB_V2_1 and JARGB_V2_2 for case rbg. The rgb cables have three holes, so they also must match the plugs with three pins on them.
Just from reading the manual first-time
I should buy reverse blade fans if I want to see the "pretty" side not the grill on the back for the intake fans on the side and bottom of H6 Flow case right?
If you want the pretty side facing in on an intake fan then yes, reverse blades.
I thought so but was slightly confused, thank you for the confirmation🙏
@snow dragonwould you switch out your MOBO for a smaller form factor and risk the possibility of the PC being moody since you're reusing your old boot drive or keep everything but the PSU and buy an AIO extension that might not fit in your carry-on if you're moving overseas?
yeah...
There is a chance of you having to reactivate windows but it also might not happen
And you know the command for that anyway, if it does

My windows 10 install had 4 clones and 3 board changes
Still works good
R5 2600 and b450 i think, r5 5600 and b550 itx, then 9600x and b650i

ok
Thank you!
I was reading sys fan/cpu fan powers the fan. And jarg powers the rgb and I can daisy chain it based on max amps. Can I daisy chain and only plug in one sys fan as well? Is that a thing?
Also omg I had a heartattack yesterday, I was holding my motherboard by the cpu cooler. And found out it's bad to do that if there is nl backplate. I didnt install a backplate for it but apparently am5 has it built in?
Correct
And you can hold it if completely mounted
As long as the graphics card isnt in lol
@wide sparrow I went from 5700G to 7950x to 9950x3D and for boards it was B550M to X670 to X670E. Each swap made me reactivate windows but other than that it all worked fine.
I use an actual windows activation key though so it was as easy as plugging my same key in.
damnit
It might be the cpu and board swap perhaps
Maybe but in any case I'd say it's a 50/50 chance of needing to reactivate windows.
trve…
I genuinely despise Auto Correct. Half the time it doesn't even make sense.
Whew ok thank you I was so scared 😭
Is this enough clearance
The button fans are pulling air towards the gpu ?
In my experience this is likely worse than no fans and just having the gpu draw its own air
Yea
But cmon theyre shitty antec fixed rgb fans they wont last that long lol
Found an rx5500xt for $75, good deal for a budget 1080 build?
Meh
Clearance is not an issue since those are fans feeding air.
It can be, actually
Because of turbulence and other fan mechanics
I had the opposite experience. Note I also have my GPU fans set to not turn on unless it's over 60c.
I have 3*140 fans blasting at full speed to my GPU.
Keeps my GPU from needing to turn those damned wind turbines on in most games.
It may depend on the density of the mesh under the gpu/overall case setup. But in my experience, pulling out my bottom fans (that had very little clearance under the gpu) actually improved cooling
Hmm interesting.
To make my dual GPU plan work I will only have one slot of clearance between the GPU so I am gonna mount my fans vertically to feed air through the GPU's side.
.
Also well I think I know why my temps have been a few degrees celsius higher these last couple months.
Time to buy some Air Canisters again lmao.
😭this exactly what's happening with my pc, idk what to do
If temps are good then it is fine
I had similar clearance in the nr200 and it was fine
If I mainly play bf6 redsec and plan on to start streaming is it worth buying a 5080 right now? (Would also have to wait for it to be in stock) or should I just settle for a high end 5070ti?
I want great performance great graphics and if I have to pay $700 more or so for a 5080 I’ll do it but is it really worth it rn
5080 is only like 10-15% faster and costs nearly double at current prices. The higher end models are generally a terrible deal too. All you're really getting is a nicer cooler, I'd be looking at a prime or a pny for $750.
Will a good 5070ti be good performance for fps games and streaming? I’ll save extra 700 instead an get me a better monitor
The performance difference between a base model and the highest end oc one will be a few percent that you likely could have gotten yourself for free. Imo an upgrade to OLED instead of a 5080 is very preferable.
Hi guys i wanted to get your opinion on whats a better combo for a laptop
Ryzen 7-7445H + 3050 ti (4gb)
Or
i5 12600HX + 3050 (6 gb)
first
🫡
Idk why my gpu is so low tho, maybe it's the motherboard. I swear other builds in my case had gpus higher up
If it is in the top slot then it is in the same position
Just lower because the case has less space below the motherboard
If there is turbulence, then you would have to adjust fan speeds
But that is if there is any in the first place
Should I do it ahead of time? I read some people lower speeds for bottom intakes through bios or something
Ah I see so just see first?
Yeah and if the speed is lower then probably nothing will happen
I always had low rpm case fans so that is probably why I had no problem
🫡
Increasing the speeds for me didnt help anyway so might as well have the quieter system
Also I heard some sort of fan blade noise when I was installing windows is that normal?
I think my fans are in the high 30s currently but that is because they move a lot of air
Like whenever I start a process there's a small clanking noise but then stops
In the nr200 my fans were at like 60-70% because the fans max out at a low rpm
I think you should figure out what is making that sound
What does maxing out at low rpm mean?
Since you obviously don't have a hard drive
They top out at ~1500 rpm
Yeah im worried it's some fan cables laying behind my bottom fans and below the gpu
Probably clips it when ramping up
But then I have to take out gpu and fans 😭
Also idk how to tie them down because there is not much space there
At least it wasnt like my situation where the fan was grinding against the individual cables because the vga pigtails were taking up so much space
bzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZ
I had to hold the power button fr
I only know pcie pigtails
They're so annoying ugh idk why psu companies make them
As in turning it off?
yos
Is it dangerous for cable grinding?
Because you might not need two cables depending on your power draw
For example the vga cable on my power supply can do 300w
So technically I don't need a second cable
Whatt that much?
I could just use a single cable and its pigtail
That's really convenient wow
I just ziptied my pigtails to make it less intrusive it still is really bulky with two cables plus pigtails
But I took the pigtail out and used a second cable because I hoped that it would help with coil whine, and I think it did a little bit, but not much because the coil whine is coming from my power supply and not the graphics card anymore
Or if it still is coming from the graphics card, it is very quiet
Oh yeah how do I know if I have coil whine issues?
And should I return a component if it does have it?
When I was using it I bent the hell out of the cable to make it fit
You are using a good connector so it is ok to bend
That's so scary thoughh
You hear a buzzing sound when gaming
If it sounds like the bugs outside at night

There are levels to it, just that mine is kinda bad
Is it possible to replace psu or gpu if that happens?
Or is it just a feature of gpus?
If it is really bad yeah
For now it is a feature until they start selling models with glued coils to get rid of the noise
But there are ways to mitigate it
In my case, adding a second cable can help, undervolting helps because you are using less power, setting a frame rate limit helps too
Sounds good I'll be undervolting hopefully that helps
Again that is if it is bad anyway
🙏
Gosh ok ill probably end up taking out gpu and unscrewing fans
Do you think ziptieing them down to bottom of the case will be good to make sure the wires are not interfering with fan?
I dont really see the cables although the gap is really small so maybe my eye just cant see it haha
Hmm what if i take the cables to my fan
Is that a viable method? So i only need to take out gpu
Worst case scenario you just take out the card and look since motherboards now have some kind of marketing feature where the lock stays down when you push it down
Not like my old board where I had to push a pencil in between the card and the cpu tower and then keep pushing while pulling the card out

Msi pro 650m a wifi
😭
We really have it easier these days
It looks like it wont go back in while you pull the card out
But just to be sure, make sure it doesn;t move while you take the card out
As it when i push open the clip?
Yeah it looks like it will stay open when pulling it out but just pay attention
🫡
this dude is selling me his rig for 500$
2080 Super, Ryzen 7 5800X3d with 32 ddr4
Yay or nay
thats a crazy deal
hmmm
Im gonna case swap and resell
Yeah
Found a bundle deal with a ryzen 5 5600, 32gb ddr4 vengeance pro ram, a b550 pro v2 mobo, a 650w evga psu and a rx 7800xt for $550. Only thing I need is a case and storage which I have already. It's all used but looks in good condition, was used for light gaming. Seems like a great deal but maybe im missing something
Package secured, incoming budget 1440 rig. Paid $250 for all this and getting a 7800xt 16gb this Friday for $250-300 depending on how in person negotiation goes
Sounds kinda dumb on my part since ive built pc’s but its been a while.. i have a 12600k and a 4070
I just got a 5070 and 14900k
It’s compatible with the mobo I have right now both LGA1700
Do i simply just swap out the cpu and graphics card? (with everything unplugged and repasted of course)
Or is there more to it
might have to reinstall chipset drivers as well. Make sure the bios is up to date,
(First give me the 4070
)
if u have a loose hdmi that is making a monitor all glitchy and ur playing something demanding like vr and then randomly all displays go black no signal and u have to force turn off pc to get display back. is that caused by the loose hdmi cable connection? iv been troubleshooting this for years and i think it was just because the hdmi port is loose on my second monitor.. iv replaced gpu. mobo. hdmi cables. ram completely reinstalled drivers and windows. iv tryed a new vr. tryed a new pci usb extension card and a new power supply.
if it was the monitor port this whole time im going to throw it on the roof and leave it up there
that sounds like a gpu issue
but if youve replaced it
idk
but yes a loose connection would cause that
im really thinking its the monitor. i havnt replaced monitor yet
or that
Holy steal man good job
yes lol
But I would update the motherboard bios and reinstall the gpu drivers
Also you need a beefy cpu cooler the 14900k is a mini nuclear reactor
Hey yall what do ya think about the Ryzen 9 9950X?
Or should I get the Ryzen 9 9950X 3D? Its gonna be on a PC mainly for MEP building design work.
I am looking for a motherboard with both WIFI and Bluetooth.
I am having a hard time lol
any motherboard that has wifi also has bluetooth
they have the same productivity performance but the 9950X3D has more cache which may help but its mostly for gaming performance
Gotcha. I might go with the X3d then. The 9950 is the newer gen CPU right?
9950X and 9950X3D are the newest gen
And what you think about the MSI Tomahawk 850X?
*X870 and yeah its a clean board
Thank you much for your help.
Alright ill probs go that one or something simalar then.
I want a board with good WIFI and bluetooth😅😂
make sure to buy everything from reputable sellers
I will new egg or Amazon.
perfect
would you mind if you shared your other planned part purchases? So I can see if any edits would save you money or prevent low quality parts
Sure, I already have a:
RTX 5070 TI
GSkill Trident Z5 (32GB RAM. Gen 5)
4TB T,Force GE PRO M.2 SSD
And a 1000w power supply i honestly forget exactly what one i got but tomato toomato as far as power goes.
ooh uh it is very not tomato tomahto with power
Cooler is planned to be a Artic Gen III cooler
Hang on ill grab my power pack...
MSI A1000GS
i just mean that there are a ton of power supplies out there you really shouldn't buy
Huh- I didnt know that😅. Honestly I thought a 1000w power supply is a 1000w power supply😅
thankfully it looks like you got a good one
yeah no one knows why but any brand can just make a power supply
and they can blow up ur computer cause theyre cheap junk
but reputable big brands like msi make good stuff
other than that really nice specs so far
I believe that. Its probally some chinese company's selling the same ones with like 50 different brand names which all dont make sense and are fakes
thats the case for some i have seen lol
Lol I believe that. I only buy the stuff from brands I somewhat see are common place. And not only on amazon😂🤣😂
those are a bit pricy imo, would you consider a thermalright?
they make some really neat aio's that stay in the 50-60 dollar range
while not being junk
a few great models

What one has better sound performance? I want it as quiet as I can reasonably get em😅
While so being strong enough to handle a SMR
whats an smr
and if you want as quiet as possible then I recommend getting an aio but then getting noctua fans to use on it, they are the quietest
Small Modular Reactor😂🤣😂
ig the 9950x is that
Aio?
aio stands for all in one and that is the type of liquid cooler we're lookin at
Says it only draws like 170w max😂
Yeah I always go an aio
yeah thats fine for a 360mm
I just heard the Artics were a reputable brand with great performance.
they say that for every brand lol
I use to always get an aio from Coursair
arctic is good yeah thermalright is also good but also cheaper
Hahaha, alright I can get one from thermalright if you say they are good.
They are cheaper😂
yup and they are very nice, I have firsthand experience with them
The artic is like 100 a coursair is like 200 and a thermalroght is like 50...
they aren't super loud
Thats good
Haven't.
Was thinking phanteks
Or a er Amteks?
Got recommendations?
what model of 5070ti did you get
and do you prefer a traditional or fishtank case
and are you planning on putting your own fans in it or do you want the case to come with its own
Come with everything already. And honestly I dont care to much
Tis just a case.
Hell doesn't even need tempered glass😂
aight
how much do you want to spend?
Dis one.
5070 brand is basically tomato tomahto right?
I got it for 750 on sale so
yes lol
Gib good case.
ok bet'
Thats the budget😂
Bet😂
I think we have spent up to 150 for a case before so
Maybe even 200 lol
If you got a board you recommend more than the X870 plz lmk.
About to buy this stuff
I'll take some looks
black or white preferred?
She's bueatiful
Don't care.
I like that

God bless😂.
I believe that. I think the contrast would look nice.
Anyway... I was told MSI ones had the best value or something so I kept looking at that brand
all brands are great value
usually
for this genre
but the big names wont make a trash x870 so you can really just get any
What do i do if the pc didnt arrive with gpu screws but theres this latch thing
HAVN 420 is a beautiful masterpiece of a case.
It's within $200 and your not gonna get better airflow or quality without going with an Open Air Case for buying a Limited Edition case from InWin.
@chrome gale MSI and ASRock tend to have better PCBs in the mid-range board options ($150-250)
Couldn't find these guys on NewEgg sadly. Just gonna grab an Artic cooling liquid Freezer III 280-A
amazon is fine tho
Lol noted😂
I must have had skill issue
Just ordered everything.
The processor was also slightly less on amazon
niceee
nah its their skill issue
Its the best PC I ever built i think
The case should have come with screws
If not installed, in the box somewhere
whenever i play rivals it keeps crashing and sending me to home screen, idk wtf to do im new to all of this pc shit
yall got any advice
What is your pc specs?
what is that name bro
Fr like wth
Fellas got a question, bought a beautifully built pc from Facebook marketplace, they said they wiped everything but it still tries to boot to Kubuntu. They told me all I gotta do is install windows and now I’ve gone through an official Microsoft Windows 10 usb and a repurposed external hard drive to install windows 11 bit but all I’m getting is this purple screen with no installer window. I haven’t the slightest clue how to uninstall an os and videos aren’t helping 🙁
Also when booting up the usb or the drive the windows logo will appear, the little spinning thing will appear as well and then purple screen. Hitting f10 will bring up a blank winpeschl.exe window that is uninteractable except selecting empty space, and I can’t type into it. Exiting that window just makes the screen black.
do you have a spare laptop or pc
Yessir I was gonna modernize it for my sibling
But was told that having multiple ssds installed could cause it to conflict so I’m gonna try unplugging em first, thing has 2 4tb ssds and 1 2tb
step 1: install rufus on it
2. download an official windows 11 iso file
3. use rufus to put the iso on a usb drive using GPT for UEFI
4. plug it into pc
5. when turning on pc, spam click the DEL (delete) key
6. find boot priorities or boot manager and make boot option one your usb you made
7. after making it boot option one, save and exit/save and reset
8. when it turns on it should boot from that usb
9. follow the installation steps but pause at the part where you select the disk to install on
10. click every disk that isnt the usb and press delete partition
11. once they're all wiped then proceed with installing windows on the desired drive
nope not at all
all you have to do is set boot priority in bios then its fine
what are the parts of the pc?
just the cpu model will suffice
yeah so am i
So no idea what I’m doing
good that natively supports w11
its really not very different
are you able to do these steps
Doing it rn
make sure to get the windows iso from their website https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
if it was able to try booting into kubuntu or wtv then its not running out of pci lanes i think
Downloading rn
Also some rog motherboard
Also it would boot into gnu grub as well after I tried forcing it to only boot the USB
to force it truly, in boot manager make all other boot priorities disabled
if the usb doesnt work and it cycles to bios then try another usb port
also in rufus select these options
That’s what I did
Shouldn’t be a problem if I’m using a external hard drive instead of a usb stick, don’t got one big enough rn for 8gigs
I hope
if its an hdd then installation will be slower
but if its an ssd
speedy boi
Pretty sure I hear a disk spinning
Also plugged it in and rebooted fingers crossed
Been spinning for a while
Lovely news we’re back to square one brb gonna unplug some ssds
Great news unplugging them worked 👍
nice
that means the motherboard cant support them all at once
not enough pci lanes
Sadly my old intel Inspirons product key doesn’t work
Prolly don’t know how that tech wizard I bought this pc from made it work
i'll have to dm you about that
Mind if we do that now?
alr come back here
were you able to install windows?
It’s installing rn without the license I’ll fix that later
Found another product key lying around my house every is running fine so far gonna run a benchmark on the Radeon vii
Thanks for the help btw
It did not. And they were not in the box
I need a recommendations for a 750+W power supply.
what's the context? budget and any constraints?
Rosewill makes decent power supplies the VSB & VMG ones.
$150
US?
What case and what GPU?
For size constraints and requirements for 12vhpwr or extra 8 pins
Montech century II 850w
Taking my computer in to be built tomorrow (don’t have the time)…
Microcenter offers the same as Best Buy to build, but BB is much closer and gives their 1 year total care membership geek squad vs Microcenter 90 day labor warranty ….thinking maybe BB because you just get more? Also $50 less to build.
Thoughts?
I would trust MC more than BB, but if best buy is significantly closer and $50 cheaper that's probably the better option
Also it really doesn't take that long to do it yourself
What’s the best layout to put my fans in? Its currently in bottom intake and top/back exhaust but i want to maximise airflow
Yeah I 100% trust MC to be more knowledgeable and even made an appointment with them, but $50, 30min closer and 1 year membership is hard to beat. I made up my mind lol
its already at the max
hi can anyone help me choose my pc parts
yeah whats your budget
it’s like 2k but i was tryna save up with the micro center combos
tho price been rising
indeed
turns my soul
hm someone else may be able to help more as i am not well versed with micro center stuff
i kinda had an idea in mind about a 5070 ti with like a 7800
but i didn’t know much about about motherboards or
Are you ready to buy soon? And the boards that come in the microcenter combos are fine.
Is that 2k for a PC, or PC + monitor and some peripherals?
js for the pc alone
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TR6fsp Just plain black, no frills? Microcenter also likely has a 9070xt in stock for $600 and that's a pretty compelling deal compared to $750 for a 5070ti. Basically the same performance just not quite as nice on some features and worse for some non-gaming stuff like premiere, py torch/ai or blender.

So I’ve been having random reboots for a long while and I use to get memory bsods and what not not very often it did happen and they were always random related to memory
I ran memtests and they all ran perfect 13 passes no fails
I replaced my cpu and motherboard and since then it doesn’t bsod and doesn’t reboot anymore it just goes black and nothing else pc doesn’t turn off or restart just screen off making me have to turn it off and on
I’m thinking either transient power from powersupply or maybe overheating vrms on the gpu???
It only does it when loading up a game or launching a video up or watching a video and even then doesn’t always bappen
Drivers?
weird nvidia driver things, often accompanied by a nvlddmkm.sys error in event viewer
Only thing I get is kernal error
If there's nothing else, then run testmem5
which memtest?
karhu or occt is good enough
memtest86 tends to not be enough
testmem5 is usually the easiest and more consistent
I tried memtest86 and occt
Memtest passed and occt had 0 errors and I ran it for 30 mins
I’ll try testmem5 for a bit and see if anything comes up
It tends to happen during very light loads like loading a game up or just opening a video
That’s why I was thinking vrms from gpu or maybe my PSU isn’t so swell with the transient power from my 6950xt
It is still decently likely to be a driver or windows issue, good old ddu as usual and dism/sfc
I tried that and did a fresh windows install from another pc on a usb
is the 7800 micro center deal a good combo or no
Which one? The 7800x3d + Mobo + ram bundle?
which one
when askin questions here you gotta specify a bit more lol
yes
i can’t send pic
Price
You can send links
Assuming this one, yea, it's a good deal, it'll cost 750-800 ish elsewhere

yeah
with the x870 instead of the b650
do you think the 750 is worth it
i’m thinking of pairing that up with a 7800 and a 5070
The x870 board isn't really worth it
Truth
Nah
B650 one is good
X870 one sucks
Hello can someone guide me to choose what gaming laptop i should buy mostly will play overwatch and dota 2 and similar games and browsing and watching videos that is running to 144fps but not expensive and good for future
what's your budget?
and your region, so i can find a good deal for you
Let say around 500$ i live in Middle East
oof, that isn't gonna get you much if i have to be honest
is there any fan options more powerful than the arctic 12038-8k?
wanna just strap an overkill fan to a tiny sff case
What you suggest and for how much budget
i'd save up to at least 600-700 USD equivalent and go from there
something with at least a 4060 is what you want
4050 is alright too, but the 6gb vram is honestly not a lot
What you have choices for 4060
So i can choose from or similar to it
so since you're asking about it here in the newegg server, i'm gonna guess you're shopping in the US sites and are importing the laptop into your country. is that right?
idk if walmart ships to your country, but there's this
5050 is a decent alternative for the price range
Yes
I can shop from newegg or amazon or like this shops that ship to my country
Gaming laptops were Alr bad but they got HIT by price increases
Yeah they’re garbage
hey waht do you guys reccomend i shoiuld do if my pc is stuttering?
5050 ain't all that bad tho, for the price it's ok
check your resource usage with an OSD
an osd?
something like msi afterburner+rtss
then watch your cpu and gpu's temps and clock speed
as well as fps and frametime
im afraid i dont know how 😭
do you use an nvidia gpu?
amd
ah okay, amd does have a built in osd too
i'm not familiar with it though, unfortunately
awe man okay
but you can try to research on how to set it up
