but yeah i'd have practically unlimited budget for the new build so would be fun to try a proper small build
Z20 is peak man
Jonsbo quality is top
I get that it's not real sff but it does qualify lol
D32 is just a revised version of it, I'd have gotten one if I had the patience to flip my am4 board
I still have a dead am4 board that I've been too lazy to get rid of
I should probably try to sell it while the parts are still worth something lol
msi b550m pro vdh wifi
boots to windows but just randomly reboots within a couple of minutes of turning on
sometimes faster
no issues staying in bios for an hour though
i put a few hours into troubleshooting it and decided it wasn't worth the time
Dan A3 fits a lot for being what it is lol
4090, 9800x3d, 64gb, 13(?)TB storage, 1000W psu
360 aio
Didn't even use the side rad
The Z20 can do close to this but with a 240mm aio being the absolute limit
impressive
140/150mm psu is highly suggested
yeah i'd go for 9800x3d in a new build so 360 aio is completely unnecessary
If you don't have those then rip, may as well itx truly
Fr
I just have it spare
Lol
9800x3d def worth it if not used 7800x3d and a good LP cooler
Or tower
Thermalright axp120-x67 can do those chips iirc
honestly 360 aio is overkill for this 13700k
given i'm dailying an undervolt now and the heaviest load it sees is cyberpunk
even if i was shoving multicore loads im not sure how much it would help over a 240 i feel like there's a thermal transfer bottleneck at the ihs
Some 240's are fine
Like a thermalright or fx240 I wouldn't be worried about a causal 13700K user
Granted it's a new microcode and not old
Nice
it's nice to not think about ram oc anymore lol
it's kinda crazy how much better this 13700k is than the old one
bro got that new york apt case
Yeah but you know I was actually thinking about getting a atx mobo with the next 1000 series CPUs and ended up with that qube
Ap201 great but sum about the whole 3d print really got me cause I'm a embedded Dev and having electronics all over my desk is getting annoying way too quickly
1000 series?
Yeah you know
man what
When they release the GTX 1080, 1070 etc next year
Yeah can't wait for the next best value CPU (Ryzen 1600). Six cores and twelve threads in a CPU is nuts
Fr
Someone knows
I wonder what theyโre going to do for their next generation
Iโm really old to the point that I remember Zen 1 like it was last year
We get it gramps
Good thing u don't remember ww1
Okay new gen
Go figure out how to configure slave and master hard drives then come back to me
HDD for loosers
Suck it
This guy doesn't get it
Where's that one Chinese laughing emoji
I kinda got the racist joke but I know your a little one darling
What a joke
:chinese laughing emoji:
My guy it's not a racist joke ๐
This guy doesn't know about the existance of master and slave hard drives lollll
Look at this new gen
๐
I'm teaching a kid about 90s hard drives
Just wanna be clear with any mods or admins. I'm not talking about racism or the 1800s and all the racist BS that happened at that time. I'm talking about how hard drives worked back in the day
Didn't even mean to imply the wrong thing lol
Sorry mods ๐
I think the mods are probably old enough and know enough about tech to understand master/slave lol
time to setup my RAID array
If you knew my age you'd be surprised that I know what master and slave hard drives are and how they work
build boi has only been in PC's for 5 years and knows more than just about anyone i know and theyve been in IT for 20+
I'm sure Felix has known computers more than the average person in this server lol
@cyan ravine when did you start building computers? (sorry if you're sleeping)
mfw the highschool IT course is so outdated that they still taught master/slave IDE drives
That's insane
lmao
That's not that long ago lol
It is in dog years
And as you can see by the pfp
I am clearly a good boi
if 5 dog years, that's not even a full year lol
In that case, you're older than 35
No stop
๐
I'm still young
Part List - Intel Core i7-12700KF, Radeon RX 7600 XT
less than me damn
well, in terms of learning at least, i started learning the more specifics of building a pc like 8 years ago ish?
bruh
this pa120 I bought says it comes with thermal paste
there's no thermal paste in here ๐ฆ
now what am I supposed to snack on while I build
bruh it's also missing the Y cable for the fans
I have thermal paste but that one is actually annoying
Wait wot
Rippp
maybe? the am4 mounting parts bag was torn and the contents were floating around the package
but the heatsink still had the plastic peel on it
That sounds sus af
anyways, enough of it is there that I don't want to deal with taking it off and returning it
I just hooked up the second fan to the pump header
bricc
ngl the screwless m.2 stuff on this board was way more difficult than just using screws
an overengineered solution to a nonexistent problem
Is it the twist lock one
yeah
and the other slots are like
a spring to lock it
it starts in the wrong position and the manual just tells you to insert the m.2 immediately after removing the heatsink
doesn't tell you to fix the position first
Yeah those were on my unify boards
They are annoying af if they start the wrong way around lmfao
first time encountering so it took me a min to figure it out
I mean, I'm happy for you but why lol
gonna be nice to have extra headroom and better cables
Ah ok
i want to actually cable manage better
plus i think some of my crashes have been related to my psu tripping
what can 6950 spike to?
idk either way i want more headroom id like to try some OC eventually
my longterm plan is highend zen6
unless i find a good deal on 9950x3d when zen6 drops
6950 XT with 11050x3d or whatever its going to be would be insane
ik rdna 2 is now 2 gens old but it still feels like I have a beast of a card
Just saying you you could run a top end rig on that rn lol
i dont doubt you lol
god this discord ui is terrible i cant man lol
I've tried it
I hate the new text
the font is hurting my eyes i noticed it right away
It's like how people hate comic sans ms
how is your 9070 XT btw you never showed me/i never saw it if you posted
Benches fine. Haven't done anything else yet
Waiting on parts
I can't hear it at full power
That makes it better than some of my old water loops
all new build?
Almost
thats crazy
You buy a water block for dead quiet operation
Sapphire out here doing it on air
depending on how the market looks in a few years maybe sapphire is my next upgrade
XFX has kinda fallen off each gen since rnda 2
But sapphire does the things xfx does then the things they don't
Sapphire is my favourite gpu manu rn
the magnet fans xfx does are sick
Has been for a while now
but yeah sapphire is super solid
Oh yeah those are nice
wish they would do the toxic stuff again
100% markup over msrp if they did toxic tho lmao
an AIO gpu from them would be so cool
I would buy a toxic
This 9070 is so impressive I wouldn't hesitate on a toxic as long as it wasn't 12vhpwr
that would be a microcenter purchase lol
i would just have to go in person
too cool not to for a big purchase like that
zen6 x3d i am planning on going to MC on release if they are insane like some of the leaks r saying
24 core x3d
cause why not
sapphires only fault this gen was the nitro+ 12vhpwr
the nitro+ cooler design is phenominal
Agreed
But I'm waiting for a melted card first
Cos both asrock taichi (not nearly as good) and the nitro+ both have direct air over that connector
It may end up working out as an excellent execution (knock on wood)
Not gonna tempt me to get a nitro tho despite that
I did not wanna guinea pig the test if I could avoid it
itll happen no matter what but the flowthrough was a great design choice if it was intentional
It absolutely would've been
in my mind they were prob like yeah cut this part out to fit the connector without even thinking about the air
obv way more planning and testing goes on but i kind of find that funny idk
wasnt there an issue with the foam coming loose or smth on the nitro
The pulse has packing foam in the heatsink
And it's really in there
Iโve been looking for some ways to get rid of all my ping and I stumbled upon gaming routers
How do they work
Badly
Oh
the router is one of the least likely reasons you have ping issues, unless its some old/obscure router
ive spent hundreds on routers and it never changes anything
Only spend for a router if it has a feature you absolutely need
Like having a 5G sim slot for me
(mainly because I can get an unlimited data+unlimited speed plan that has 3 physical SIM cards to have internet on my phone, laptop and a backup home internet just in case)
many years ago i bought a $300 router for my 20down/10up internet. odds are your internet is the problem, not the router
@wide drum it's funny tho that having a SIM slot on a router immediately quadruples the price tho
Asus RT routers are actually kinda good
I don't think any Asus routers have a SIM slot, much less a 5G one
Shouldn't do
Many support backhaul tho
Same thing if you have a 5g device to connect to it
Backhwat
The issue for me is that the main internet source is disabled at 7pm every single day
If you bought a sim card reader to go into the usb port of that asus rt above it would be exactly the same thing
At least in principle
The benefit of backhaul is it's any kind of backup net
Whatever you want/have
My idea was
Main router with gigabit-gigabit cable
|
My own router (1 WAN, 1 LAN port with a 5G SIM as backup)
|
6 port 2.5g switch
And then gaming PC, NAS, TV, maybe consoles later
If you have a 5g router you can just plug that into the asus and set it as backhaul
Then use the main gigabit internet
I don't have an Asus router rn
You just need to be creative
Got no idea
But ye that's the alternative
My experience with that brand started when you mentioned it
Lol
They're apparently really popular with home lab folks
Like super high-end stuff
So is asus lol
Like asus isn't the best, but it's popular for asus wrt
Good stuff imo, i get mild hiccups but otherwise solid low latency internet
Problem is that any 5g puck I can get is
-about as expensive as a router with 5g included anyway
And
-don't have Ethernet on it
Or USB actually
But like you have a 5g router already right?
Just plug it into that
Ethernet or usb, and done
That's it, it's set up physically
Just need to enable backhaul for that port and it literally just works
not yet
we have like a mfing ISP router
cuz our gigabit comes over cable TV wires
like OLD-school coax
That works
so like
๐ฅ
my idea is to have my own router that my stepdad can't just turn off on a whim
and that'll have a sim slot
plug the main ethernet that is already laid to my room into my router
then connect a 6/8 port 2.5g switch to my own router and plug the stuff I have like NAS, gaming rig, TV and so on into that @cyan ravine
is your stepdad also paying for the internet?
That way I can use the main gigabit connection during the day and have a fallback on 5G
Sadly yes
classic
and no even if I took over paying for it
the router is physically in my parents' room so he would shut it off
probably for a reasaon lol
Citing "It's overheating if it's on more than 8 hours a day" as his reason
oh and "It's not designed to be on 24/7"
or the classic "Y'all are online too much anyway, get a life"
third reason is valid, the first two not so much
i thought the gaming router would come with a free internet connection
- close ethernet
No. You pay for internet through a company like frontier, xfinity, or at&t
i already have internet
from my main router
The router just receives the signal from that company
You can't connect another router I don't believe
You can replace the existing one
depends on the company
Gaming routers are just marketing, no gaming router is the best option for its price point
atnt you can replace the modem with like an arris safari afaik, and then you can add a router after it
"home routers" are often combo units (especially modern ISP ones, they combine a modem, router, wifi ap, and network switch all in the same package)
so you cant just turn on the gaming router, find the connection it has on it, connect to it, and use ethernet cable
or
the home wifi
you get on that
routers (gaming or not) only route network traffic coming in through the network ports, and cant give you internet access without it getting internet access from elsewhere
i have pretty nice wifi though
its Wifi 6
can wifi speed look slower due to an adapter
maybe thats why
Wifi 6 doesn't mean much
Run an internet speed test
ookla
yeah
"servers close to you"
i am very close to detroit
but i'm actually in southfield
assuming that you are using the ISP router, you would want to directly connect the gaming router from the LAN port on the ISP router, into the WAN port on the gaming router
and in the ISP router settings, you change the mode to bridge mode (it may be named something else), which will give all routing and such responsibilities to the gaming router
multi or single connection
Oh this doesn't check upload speeds
speedtest does
Yeah use speedtest
i think it doesnt on mobile without the app though
Oh
where is speedtest
Just Google internet speed test, the first thing that pops up checks both
I have 386/105 from my phone, wifi 6
My computer is connected to ethernet with a 5e cable, it gets closer to 900/200
gaming router is a waste of money then
Yes
.
Solid internet
i was wrong about my upload speed on my pc
they're both over 900
i wonder if a better eth cable would bring it higher
ray tracing would only be good for my gpu with FSR
7600xt
The 7600xt is worse than a 3060 ti
when i turn FSR and FG on i can get more than 100 frames on certain games
lowkey i think i made a mistake
We tried telling you that
blocked
Lol
Fiber internet>
You can buy a used 3080 for the price you bought the 7600xt for
yeah yeah
Or a 6900xt
in 50 years i still probably wont have any other ISP options than my current one
A 7700xt or 7800xt would be fine with your psu
Or 6800
As long as it's a 2x8 pin model
Since the kyber only has a single 8 pin, because it's a cheap ass psu
Yes, 2 from one 8 pin connector
Hey there, everyone! I'm thrilled to share with you my latest video where I've put in a tremendous amount of time and effort to bring you an in-depth test of the AMD RX 7600 XT 16GB in 2024 | Test in 20 Games | Ray Tracing + FSR 3 | 1080p & 1440p. my case came just now
Anyone got experience with the LG 27GS85QX-B? Just saw it on discount for ~200$ but couldnโt find many reviews to it
budget for a monitor?
up to roundabout 300$
right now rtx 3070ti, i5 10400f, 16gb, but im planning on upgrading CPU/ram to either 5800x3d or 7800x3d (changing ram accordingly) and 32gb ram
Id suggest the AOC mini led
Also pls don't go 5000x3d
You will need a new motherboard if you upgrade hole you know that
7600/x performs just as good and is cheaper
yes its gonna be a whole operation
Or used 7800X3D
Or 7500f is $120 from aliexpress and is just as good
basically only keeping the gpu lol
I've seen 7800X3Ds go used for roughly 180 in the past
So if you can score one of them definitely get it
But try to go like 250-300 at most
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600
It's a better monitor
yeah ive seen plenty of them around for ~300 might find one cheaper with some patience
Isn't that an OLED?
VA has better contrast and response time, ips has better viewing angles
I can never figure out the designations lol
Do you know what mini LED is
Also consider the Xiaomi IPS miniLED
nope
K
Mini LED Va
You yourself said you don't know what mini led is. Don't say something is better without knowing what you're comparing to.
I forgot the exact name of the Xiaomi
But it's a 1440p 27" IPS panel with a miniLED backlight and a lot of zones
it's not an OLED
Correct
a backlight
why do you need it
Mini led is different than oled
Crying
Trollface
Literally every monitor has a backlight
Better lighting?
Are you kidding
the G Pro 27i ?
Better lighting, better colours, better HDR
Yep that one
G Pro 27i is a pretty good upgrade to the AOC without blowing the bank
How much is it?
IPS has a better viewing angle though
Ok
the g pro is around ~260 over here so somewhat cheaper than the others actually
What about the acer xv275u p3?
Also a mini led
Slight downgrade from the AOC
around the same price that one goes for roughly 240
Ah alr
why is the ram so fast
i should've gotten that
This is why you should ask before making purchases
that combination is around ~350 with ~260 for the monitor i guess thats reasonable
should keep up fine with the gpu i assume
That's awful
Like the monitor itself
do you have a source
so you're just copying info and sending it here
LMAO
I own the AOC mini led
I own an x27q, a solid 1440p IPS panel
The AOC is a better experience with far better colours
Beyond that, using actual, trusted sources like rtings.com is GREAT
The Xiaomi is not a huge jump, but it's a noticable improvement to the AOC BTW
Source: the about 2 hoirs of gaming I did on one
I haven't seen anything abt it so I can't say one way or the other
The koorui mini led has some HDR issues
well coming from a c24g1 i think it'll be a quite noticable improvement ๐
Oh it's a properly HDR capable monitor with still IPS colors
And the miniLED backlight has full array local dimming so it's not gonna do a bunch of IPS glow stuff
No biggie
QD-VA vs Mini LED VA
MiniLED every time
You lost all credibility with this sentence right here
it's the truth
if you use a source
youre spewing info you didnt make yourself into the channel
LOL
Its almost like i don't have the resources to buy hundreds of monitors and test myself. Unlike rtings
Looking at third party reviews from trusted sources is literally the best way to know if a product is good or not
RTings is everybody's go-to lol
But you can be salty all you want
what
is that better than technical city
Yes
i thought 7600 = 4060
feedback on gpu
I still say a used 6700xt would be better
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700, Radeon RX 7600, Apevia PRISM MicroATX Mid Tower
saw a post saying their 9800x3d idles at 50c and ppl in the comments saying itโs a bit high
is that normal?
That sounds normal
iโm asking because mine idles around 52-60
Load temps are what's important
As long as it's under 95c you're fine but that's a little toasty, what cooler do you have?
What size?
Also what case?
they donโt speed up
What size is the aio
and fan control doesnโt recognize it
240, 280, or 360?
280
As long as your case isn't a hot box imo it should be running a bit cooler
That's the opposite of a hot box if it's able to get the heat out of the case
Don't worry too much about your temps, the nzxt AIO is not ideal but should be fine for that CPU
was it the right choice to skip out on a protection plan for my cpu?
The CPU is usually the one part that lasts the longest out of the entire setup
Unless it's just bad to start with
looks like maybe uhh
700-800?
@tall shard https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YLjLjn https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805676873344.html? https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m56629762022/
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, Radeon RX 7700 XT, Cooler Master Elite 301 MicroATX Mid Tower
case fan is optional
it's used
i think it's trustworthy
Besides
If you don't recieve the right card
or just a box
Mercari will refund you
use the buyer protection if needed and it should still be under 800 bucks
Its like eBay
More steals of deals
0 review seller i would not trust personally
Hi guys quick question. Is the ram for ddr5 socket differs with intel and amd or it works on both? I am currently running ryzen 5 7600x not sure on the model of my mother board.
Am5 always uses ddr5
I mean does the ram have specific model for amd or for intel or it works on both?
it mostly works for both, worst case scenario you might need to change a simple setting in bios for the ram
What do i need to change
you likely won't need to
I am on 16gbโs rightnow
Planning to do 32
I am planning to buy this https://a.co/d/d90zVL3
Patriot Viper Venom RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB (2X16GB) 6000MHz CL30 1.35v UDIMM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit Compatible with Intel XMP/AMD Expo - PVVR532G600C30K https://a.co/d/15hMIIE https://a.co/d/15hMIIE
Its in canadian dollars
Don't buy that
What motherboard do you have
Ya but ver 1.2
Isnโt 6000-30 better
Pro b650 vc wifi
6000 is the best choice?
it's $10
Ya $10 difference
You're wasting 10 dollars for a rainbow
It's already overpriced enough since you're in canada
Canadian residents can shop in the United States duty free as long as they are in the U.S. for more than 24 hours. If you're in the U.S. for less than 24 hours, none of your purchases are duty free and you'll need to pay a tax on the goods.
Last question does the ssd on laptop works on desktop? Will it be alright to trsnsfer it?
Yes, it will work on desktop (most of the time as long as it's sata or m.2)
But you would want to reinstall windows on it
No ill just use it as the 2nd storage
Yeah that should be fine then
Thank you.
what ssd?
is it a random stock ssd
how much gb is on there
No i bought for my laptop few months ago. 2tb on it
Not sure if it matter if doesnโt have heat sink on it
nah it doesnt matter
and yeah it'll work
designed to run efficiently without one
Thank you โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
@bronze pier what is your main ssd
horrible pick
why are you overpaying for a mid ssd
he owns it??
well why did he overpay
I bought it on prebuilt so i dont have a choice they dont show the exact model
its better than a 4060
7600=4060
7600 < 7600 xt
i got it because more games will start requiring more vram
7600xt is a 7600 with more vram
it isn't strong enough to use more than 10gb of vram
4060 is stronger than both of them
and even if it wasnt
it wouldnt make the 7600xt worth $110 more
source
i literally gave you one earlier
i forgot
.
there was literally a 6800xt for $410 earlier
7600xt is worth nowhere near $400

The cards almost perform the same
7600 XT is 2 percent better than 7600 because of vram and OC
Which means if the 7600 and 4060 is almost the same
7600 XT should be a percent better
anyone know why 4060s arent 300 anymore
stock
i gave you a list
got everything except gpu
looks too good to be true
Thats real good considering the market rn
Looks like someone got it already because when I clicked on it I got redirected to one that was 450
I shouldโve just went with a used gpu
I was skeptical about the used market because I thought the performance died down
Hey I just upgraded my old PC a bit from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 3700x and it posts but doesn't boot to windows, does anyone have any ideas how to fix that?
im looking to upgrade my pc specs. currently have b650 motherboard 32gb ddr5 ram amd ryzen 5 7600x and a 1660 ti powered by a 700w smart series power supply. im assuming my graphics card needs upgraded next just unsure what to go with.
That power supply is known for killing pcs
I would highly suggest replacing the power supply followed by the gpu
Thatโs pretty expensive
Segotep GM is C
Yes
Why save $5 to drop two entire tiers
An A tier 750w is better than a C tier 850
And what's your definition of "good enough"
I would not trust a C tier psu with a high end build. An A tier 850w could handle literally any gpu, including a 4090

if my psu aint a bronze gigabyte then is it truly a psu?
after all psu stands for Perilous Safety Uninnovator
After the power supply which I can order tmr what card should I be looking at getting
It really depends on your budget
The new market is finicky atm, a $550 5070 or $550-625 9070 would be decent. A sub $750 9070xt or sub $800 5070 ti would be good
Used, 6900xt, 6800xt, 6800, 6700xt, 3080, 2080 ti are all decent choices
Either get proof of it working, like a video of it powered on showing display, or buy from a seller with good reviews
Thank you
@wild sapphire
$750 9070xt hurts me
if you value money like I do, I'd wait
Fr
Is there anything I can do to stop my pc from โcrashingโ when I switch tabs on counter strike?
Like another method other than windows tab, cause this recent cs bug fix decides to make my graphics card turn off when I swap tabs on CS, but I can still hear my music/discord calls for a minute and keep my PC on until I forcefully turn it off
RIP
Degraded 13600k
Is it? ๐ญ
Well itโs only with counter strike
I went crazy trying to fix it for at least a year
Not any other game
It started as only valorant for me
Oh no ๐ญ
I updated my bios but no way itโs that degraded already
it just started too
How old is the cpu?
Dec 2022
bruh yeah
And do you have a z board?
Yeah
cooked
I had the bios stuck on 11/30 2022 bios
Never updated it once till way after the news
But then again, could of existed for awhile
You've very likely got a degraded cpu
run OCCT all core see what the core freq is
Welp is it time to switch to AMD
or if you get errors
I mean you can rma tbf
They have RMA?
its 2022 though, how long is intel warranty
Frequency could be normal and still have degradation
Warranty was extended on 13th/14th
7 years i think?
Maybe 5
jesus
Yk
i know but if its bad youll see it drop right away
I could of prevented this if I decided not to trade up my 12600k up to 13600k at microcenter for a cent
I haven't rmaed mine because I don't feel like using a 3400g until it comes back

The least they could do after what happened lol
fs
Should I download a new OCCT if I havenโt touched it since 03/14/24 ๐ญ
3 final microcode patches later
u should just be able to update
What is wrong with them
Nice
You can build a computer with relatively new parts for that price
the x870e taichi is cheaper and better
@hollow gulch
I love asrock
Just benches or stability?
multiple avx
Funny number
u can do both but stability
extreme variable avx2 fixed
do it with stress test not benchmark
this one is stress and it ain't looking pretty
pa120se with mx6
What the hell 200w
yeah its degraded for sure lol
Must be the settings the bios came with
Maybe it ignores intel limits
Please undervolt dawg
๐
its also about amperage
I think its the board settings that it came with
How long you had it
Like 2022 right something like that
Yes here's your issue
That supposedly new bios fixed lmao
yikers
My 13600k was pulling 1.45v at stock settings until it hit 100c under a 280mm aio
I think they finally chilled out but still
Undervolt to 1.12v
See if that helps your crashing
It likely won't, but it'll prevent further damage ig
tbh I thought I was going crazy when I saw my CPU hit hot
like a possible bald spot in the thermal paste cause I used mx6
so just undervolt to 1.12 or should I tweak?
bald spot ๐ญ this aint no 50yo man
hot spot, bald spot, same thing!
Didn't touch anything else idt
I am here
@topaz rose helped me a bit
where
shouldnt they disable HT and keep e-cores on to help
at least as long as they dont need MT perf
hi you got the wrong jp maybe
It would help performance but not with the degradation idt
No you helped me w my 13600k settings
oh.. what did i tell you to do
Lmfao
well it might help stability
1.12v vcore, i don't remember if you had me change anything else
I tried, it didn't help with mine
wahnna know whats funny
But can't hurt to try
Hm
i tuned my cpu to use what seems to be 40w less than stock, maintains 5.1ghz boostpclock unlike the default settings where it drops, and it runs cooler
i did better than intel
mf was using dam near 200w
I know
So 100% undervolt to 1.12?
disable hyperthreading too, that may help
I also realized this might be corresponding with the CS setting that has "use performance cores only"
but that's heavily overshadowed by the degraded CPU
WHAT

thats umm
nowhere near normal
please tell me u was running 6ghz
im bored, i might do a slight OC
Back when I first built the pc in January of whatever year following 13th gen release i went crazy trying to figure out why it was hitting 100c instantly in cinebench r23
Felix and sips had me check the voltage and wattage
Was well over 1.4v and was sitting at 315w under a 280mm CLC
Msi z690-a pro
i think u degreaded from other means
Okay I donโt know if this is usual
?
Thats the same issue, improper power limits
i have z790 ersons
wrong spot, use ai tweaker
Ah

idk if mines are good for that off nvm
Just try the undervolt first and then disable ht if needed
Are you pressing the - key
Looks like its adjusted to me
I think its because it hasnt applied yet
Will apply when exiting bios
Thats when it saves the changes
Hopefully @topaz rose can confirm cause you got close enough/same bios
@snow dragon my PC blue screened ๐ญ
This is not good
Increase voltage to 1.15
im playing game sorry
Ya no Iโm increasing Voltage to 1.15
Discord froze trying to go here, then blue screened back to my login

Try 1.16
Or 7
Dont think 1.15 would be good enough if you cant do basic things on the computer
Iโll try 1.17
and disable HT
So 1.17 or 1.25?
Yeah I think 1.12 is because that chip could run it but not all can run that low I dont think
Or maybe because one is degraded less than the other idk
Could be that or better bins
1.25 and disable HT
Try 7 and if not stable then increase to maybe 1,2
Iโll try out 1.25 and disable HT, back down to 1.17 and see
You run whatever is stable but avoiding reaching or exceeding vmax
1.25 is just a suggestion
Spec is ok until like 1.45 iirc
1.55?
I guess that improves stability right
I was saying to try voltages first before turning off ht
its 1.5
Did I miss something
and performance
If not then disable it
Been a hot minute lol mb
I had a huge psa I used to update last year
I like how my cpu exceeded the limit too :)
When the asus board cooks your processor
Asus be a sus
Should I just stress test it on the spot or?
you can yeah did what i say booted
Sure, unless you wanna back up first
I might want to back up tbh
