You're probably already passed the "I need advice" part. But I usually use a paper towel (or a couple) to get most of the paste off and then finish getting it off with a couple of q-tips and 99% isopropyl alcohol

Mentioning the paper towel part in case you're struggling on the IPA part lol

If you're using any lower percentage of IPA, definitely dry wherever you see residual IPA (even if it's on the CPU)

Only reason that's an important feature for me is I have ADHD and I don't trust myself to reliably turn off the monitor when not using it.

If you're just gaming, I'd stay with the 7800X3D for a bit (like until Ryzen 10000. That 7800X3D is better for gaming than my 7900X, despite my CPU having four more cores

Also, OLED burn in isn't as big of a deal as before. Lots of people buy an OLED and don't experience the burn in

If you're worried about the burn in, I recommend just getting a mini LED monitor instead. It'll still look way better than the TN you're currently using

And then when you're ready for a newer monitor (after that mini-LED monitor), there will probably be more OLEDs with better options and have even further reduced burn-in

You can set your power settings so that you can have the monitor turn off after you've been inactive for however long but not put the computer to sleep

I do leave my PC on for weeks at a time. Last time I rebooted it was a week ago when I boosted the overclock on my CPU to get better stability in MH wilds.

And it normally goes to a screensaver and doesn't go black on my monitor. Its one of those things that I use my PC as a remote entry point if I need to remote into my home network. So it's just habitually on 24/7.

And realistically there's not really any "bad ram" outside of Corsair
