you could put it either on a pump header or a fan header (remember to set the speed to 100% all the time)

or if you dont have enough fan headers, you can power it off the sata adapter since pump doesnt need to change speeds

it uses the same connector as fans

4 pins is for pwm, 3 pins is for DC control

you can put those on 4 pin headers

if you look at your fan headers, you see the clip is actually offset by 1 pin

But then why did they give this adaptor? It got only 2 pin as you can see if you zoom in. And this is the only cable that this adaptor connects to

3rd pin is for a tachometer which isnt required for operation, but is useful for making sure that the fan or pump is spinning

plugging it into sata will not be able to use the tach so that's why that only has 2 pins

The x3d cpus are unfortunately being scalped at the moment. Your best bet would be a $340-410 or so 7800x3d used if that's what you're absolutely set on

for the 2nd list, cpu under multi thread full load would draw about 174w (techpowerup), and the 7900xt draws 320w with spikes up to 412w (also techpowerup)
conservative estimate for requirement on psu for those 2 components specifically is like 600w, which with a 850w psu that would be plenty for any other components you may plug in

and 850 isnt the hard limit on the psu output, the OCP is usually set a bit higher

Looking for help, I just cloned my 500gb OS drive onto a new 1tb drive and when I loaded up the new OS drive it's saying I only have 500gb of the 1tb available to use. When I look at disk management the clone created two partitions I guess on the drive. Do I restart the cloning or is there something else I can do?

all you have to do is expand the partition to the full 1tb

but I think the acronis tool created a partition out of the free space for whatever reason

honestly, maybe the drive could have potentially came with a filesystem? then for whatever reason, and cloning didnt format the drive first before writing the data bit for bit so then you're left with a corrupted partition on the right

using command line for stuff might be a bit of a learning curve due to a lack of a gui, but once you know the basics, it's much easier than navigating through a clunky gui

Does thermal paste have a maximum shelf life? I have some tubes of Arctic Silver 5 from my very first build in 2016. As long as it is still moist and spreadable can I expect it to perform as well as it did when the tube was first made?
