3080 10gb was $700 and performed I think 10% worse than a 3090 at $1500

Now we have 4080 at $1200 and 4090 at $1600, while 4080 was 35% worse

4080 super even if it's only 20% worse, at $1000 it's still much worse than last gen.

The 14th gen CPUs are new so an older model motherboard like a Z690 wouldn't know how to read the codes on it and it will fail to run. A bios update will provide the motherboard with the instructions it needs to read the codes.

Oh irrelevant wasn't what I meant to say. Overkill sure can be ok if it just means a PA120 on a cpu that's fine w/ a single tower. Able to run passively if desired is a nice quirk. Concur on the last part, but I didn't run stock pushpin cooler even on an E8400 dual core.

Eh, idk, Im kinda with Linus Techy Tips, display brightness war is a bit of a thing needed for making displays look more realistic. What you see outside is pretty damn bright compared to even bright modern displays.

High brightness for photorealism, but otherwise low for everything else. Then when going for proper brightness photorealism, it kinda has to not change brightness drastically quickly (which some videos/games/etc do).

Felix’s advice is admirable and I thank him a lot but staying focused forever on saving $200 isn’t going to help me make progress with preparing my pc.

I can get my pc put together by myself no problem at all but I gotta make sure I can get windows installed onto my computer right or I can’t use the computer properly or play vr
