Their warranty team went to crap in the last year or so

AM5 is programed to run at the highest temperature your cooler can allow. It's made to run at max frequency not minimum temps. Your CPU wants to constantly run at 95C but since you have a non x (it's tdp is lowered compared to an x sku) and dont have enough cooling under load that will probably be normal...especially if you have a single tower cooler.

Anything from a 6600 up to 6700xt would be decent for 1080p

If they want to play 4k apex I'd suggest getting them to run it with a 6700xt at 1440p or 1080p
