Hey, friend's asking me for some assistance here because she's putting together stuff for her first editing PC -- am i correct in understanding she did a booboo by trying to install windows with all drives plugged in at the same time and needs to convert her boot drive into GPT to allow for the unallocated partitions to be one large 8TB one

Would get a better result if you at least removed the side panel & got a closer pic. If windows wasn't installed, boot led isn't an issue. For vga led: could be as simple as gpu power cables aren't in correctly or 100%, also try an hdmi cable (into gpu) & restart pc w/ monitor already on and set to auto/hdmi for input (channel) [that's using the monitor buttons].
