CXm is C tier, it's good
The spider lives rent free in your PC case
It's on my list, I'll get to it eventually
Pls bro
Watch it
Then put your pfp to asuka
Because red suits asuka
And red suits your discord color
I’d make sure my build’s color theme is white tho to contrast
Not exactly pure white but white
Also nice build man
Only Asuka figure I could fit in the case that looked semi decent
Needs a gojo figure fr
Chapter 236 😭
woot Nirvana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah….

How do I make this not ugly?
Extensions
Makes sense
I really appreciate it, went for a sleek blackout build
Build looks great
Which case tho?
Phanteks G300A
You’re telling me you put the 360 on the front and not on top? 😭
Yeah, also Gigabyte is a pain in the ass and puts the CPU power up top so routing cables through there was already troublesome enough
Welp. I’m done with pre-builds and I’m officially on the hunt for parts to build my own
Welcome back from the dark side, it's so much better in the light
I dunno if I should recycle parts or just sell them individually for upgrades
Depends on the parts, a good few should be salvageable
I’m only one generation behind CPU and GPU wise. But I do wanna go with a water cool system instead of air cooling
So that’ll be a new experience
What CPU?
Might be overkill to get an AIO
hi, im quite confused about the difference between rear panel ports, internal i/o connectors, onboard usb and how i know if the ports on my motherboard is compatible with ports on the case. Can someone help me pls?
Easiest way is to put the parts into https://pcpartpicker.com/list and it gives a compatibility report that says what plugs where
Choose Your Parts
are the front panel usb's on pc partpicker the same as the onboard usb
The front panel USB connects to the onboard USB headers
so ill need them on my case if theyre on my motherboard right
You can have empty headers on the board
But if you want to use the front panel things you need a header available for them
sorry im new to this, what are headers and what are the front panel things used for?
Headers are the part of the motherboard you plug the cables into
There's cables coming from the front panel for things like the power button, USB, and audio
is there any issues with AMD's most recent driver update?
I need to transfer to 7800xt drivers rn, software is telling me so
I figured it out, did a furmark stress test and for 1440p: 200fps avg at 62 degrees C max with only a 30% fan speed
Idk what but that backplate was cold when taking it out maybe it does work
@mossy venture I got an issue
Looks like bad cable low key
It’s happening again
Bad cable?
Try a diff cable and port on the monitor
Don't matter
Uhhh slight issue @mossy venture the display port isn’t budging
I’m wiggling, tugging on it with some decent pull and it’s not budging
That’s not good. It just made a snapping noise.
There's a button you have to press down
On the side facing the back of the monitor
It's hard to get
Rippp
I’m reinstalling drivers
See if it’s a driver
Cause it’s drivers, gpu, or system issue.
?
Well I just reinstalled drivers to the October version.
Idk the exact number
I’m gonna see if that did anything
Alr
Then I’ll do that
So not a drivers issue
How do I do this
@mossy venture nothings opening..
Mmm
Yup
I did the official AMD driver uninstall
I could DDU
but I heard official driver un install is better
The other gpu worked fine before too
Btw you know the evga psu cables look like this right
Is it because of that maybe? 1 cable powering two slots?
Idts, 150w from one 8 pin 75w from slot, at peak wattage is shouldn't pull more than 35w or so (obv not including spikes)
Huh 😭😭
Nvm I’m dumb, I should just do replace option.
@mossy venture
It’s fixed?
Nvm it just crashed :)
I got into fortnite then it froze
Try driver uninstall now that you switched back
Hm?
This happened to me when I took out the card, I thought it was dust but,.
The 3 grey pieces
It may be a coincidence
A cracking thermal pad
Yeah 100% send that back. possibly could fix it but you have no reason to over just getting it replaced
Well I want it 100% fixed
Unless you can't get the cashback, though replacing them would eat into it
So I already have the Replace/RMA in order rn
Ok sick
but I’m gonna call them tomorrow
Rant a little bit
See if I can get some express shipping or something
Or hell maybe like some more money back 💀
Ok just pls don't yell at customer service for things that aren't their fault, I don't get that vibe from you but I also don't know you very well
I know I know
I’ve done customer service at my work
Just ranting is more like kinda complaining
I don’t like being rude
Ok anyone who's done customer service I trust
It ain’t the minnesota passive aggressive way
I do the same thing but like getting sympathy and working w them
My literal job position is called Customer Service Expert/Insider 💀💀
I worked in a grocery store for a year and a half, cashier and then 8 months as customer service rep
Now I work at best buy. Black Friday, week before, and today SUCKED
@tender umbra the GPU not recognized happened again. At this point, from reading this thread of the person who is experiencing exactly what i’m experiencing, my GPU might’ve been “bricked” https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/newly-built-custom-pc-failing-to-recognize-gpu-after-activating-xmp-in-the-bios.3686149/#post-22203123
First off, heres the specs
Ryzen 7 3800X
Gigabyte x570 Aorus pro wifi
Corsair Vengeance 16Gb(8x2)
650W EVGA 650GT PSU
EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 ULTRA
WD 250GB SSD (With OS on it)
Gigabyte Aorus 1TB SSD
Windows 10 Home 64 bit OS
Coolermaster Masterliquid ML240 V2 CPU Cooler w/ Thermal grizzly
x2 Corsair...
i think i’m gonna have to return it back to newegg and let them send me a new one…
it’s not worth trying anymore i’m just gonna replace my 4080….
new gpu time
where do u replace items on newegg? the RMA thing u mentioned
alright done
i assume they won’t send me a replacement until they have received the original item
i’m gonna borrow my friend’s RTX 2060 tomorrow and plug it into my mobo and see if that detects the GPU
if it does then my GPU is indeed bricked
i do have a RX570 laying around rn, not sure if that’s compatible with ryzen 7 7800x3d on a steel legend x670e motherboard @obsidian wigeon should i try it?
it’s on auto
ok good
what if it’s not on auto? will it cause bad things
It just might fail to start, no big deal lol
^
if i wanna buy this https://www.newegg.com/msi-aegis-r-12nuc7-635us/p/N82E16883151357
is there anything i can buy to upgrade it?
16gb ddr5 isn't good, it's either 2x8 and 8gb ddr5 sticks suck due to the way its built, and single channel 16gb bad since single channel bad
4060 pre built at that price isn't good if you're just gaming
@split cliff both broken AND brand new gpus from newegg? Twinning
Ya the gpu is 100% broken, 6650xt works fine
what do i look for then? cause i dont have any knowledge on pcs and i just want one for gaming
why would it be broken?
Budget after any upgrades?
And do you want a monitor recc too?
budget would probably be around 1k cause i dont wanna spend too much
sure
First one you'd want to upgrade ram though, so it'd be more like $1100
Though the 4060 build after ram upgrade would be around $1070
4060 ti is around 30% better
Though building yourself you can fit 7800xt/4070 in fairly easily
Monitor prob https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Zcqrxr/msi-g244f-238-1920-x-1080-170-hz-monitor-g244f if you go for 4060/4060 ti
If you go 4060 ti and want it, 1440p isn't a terrible idea depending on what you value
In certain newer games it might struggle a bit
would the second one be good enough on its own?
Yeah but imo I'd say get the first and upgrade ram in down the line when you can
3070 is better, but 13400f cooler and better, especially since its ddr5
And id upgrade from 16gb soon anyways on ddr4 too
yeah but the first one isnt available rn and i doubt it would be by the end of tomorrow
so the black friday sale would be over
no i mean like its on sale right now cause of black friday
but once that ends its gonna go to 1.5k
It has a bit longer shipping date than normal
You can order it at this price and it is estimated to arrive 12/01
ohhh
That or they estimate its in stock then
I'm not certain which
But if it is that then it ships Dec 1st
You pay the price that it’s at now, then you just wait for it to be back in stock and they’ll ship it out then
Which still should mean it gets there in a fairly reasonable amount time
I'm bad at wording sentences right now
Though also one sec I'm checking one other thing
is there any difference between the two without any upgrades?
I need a mobo with wifi that can run a ryzen 7 got any suggestions?
Motherboard
I meant mine mb
did u get urs replaced? how was the replacement process. easy and non frustrating?
Could do a better quality similar performance uild on cyberpower but $1150, and don't have to upgrade ram and also has 2tb asd
I FOUND IT. THE CULPRIT WAS INDEED THE RTX 4080!!!! RX560 BOOTED FINE AND IT WAS DETECTED BY WINDOWS, BUT NOT THE 4080 (sorry for all caps)
Yeah, 13400f one I think is better even without the ram upgrade. But after it is a lot better
how much would i have to spend on ram upgrades
and do i NEED the ram upgrades? like im fine if i have 120 fps or something in games its not like i need 300+ fps
Around $70-80, if you ordered on tiktok shop sold by newegg probably around $60
1% lows (frame drops) would likely be very noticeable
Wait one more time, best buy had some decent sales I didn't check there
is it normal for task manager to display both the integrated GPU (GPU 1) and the external GPU (GPU 0)?
Ibuypower doesn't have the best rep, since their support is ass and they tend to cheap out in areas, but at that price honestly it's the better than you'd find compared to normal prices. I'm still looking though
Might be something better still under budget or in budget
alright
This isn't bad, would need the ram upgrade https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6553002.p?skuId=6553002
I'll link the kit I'd recc, one second
Again can do cheaper with tiktok shop sold by newegg, if you want to do that I can grab a screenshot
alright hopefully my replacement goes successful
i don’t have the plastic wrapping for the cables anymore but i hope this works
so like
which one of the 5 you sent is the best option
Imo, either the cyberpower on bestbuy with the 4060 or the one on cyberpowerpc I haven't showed you yet that's $1150
4060 ti 12600k (hotter slightly better 13400f)
3060 ti* which 4060 ti performs the same. Nvidia did not do good with their performance/tier this gen
what about the first one for this
Which God damn it i lost the cyberpower list, but I can make it again if $1100 is doable
is there a big performance difference between the first one and the others
Also good, would still need the ran upgrade though
Yes, 4060 ti better than 4060 by about 30%
It's a very large difference
The cyberpower 4060 one is alright for $900, but still not as good value
The cyberpower one also comes with keyboard, mouse, and headset btw
Idk if the others do, though most do come with keyboard and mouse
i doubt it would be good though
Cyberpower $1150 one
Theyre not bad, it's a black Friday promotion so they're reduced to $5 each extra
Theyre at least fine for now, easily worth the $15 if you need cheapish ones. Cheap enough that it makes sense to buy for now and upgrade later
i think i might buy the first one because its pretty good already and also looks good
i just wanna know how noticeable it would be if i didnt upgrade the ram
That's fair, it's good.
It would be a major difference
You could potentially find out what stick it is and buy the exact same one, if it's 1x16
If that's the case it could be more like $30-50
its the Kingston Fury RGB 16GB DDR5 5600MHz (2x8GB)
If its 2x8 or you can't get the same stick, SOL.
Yeah 8gb sticks have half the banks compared to other capacity sticks, which can affect performance up to 40%
bruhhh
That doesn't mean average fps 40% lower
But possibly 1% lows that much worse
You could look for a cheap used kit potentially, or one sec
Lemme get the tiktok price
should i just buy it first and then see if i need to buy more ram?
After coupon $62
You'll want to, if not now as soon as you feel you can.
$55 after coupon, but you'd have to set a custom profile in bios for the ram. It wouldn't be difficult, would take maybe 5min
And you'd get better performance than just running an XMP kit
ill buy the pc first and see if i really need the ram
I just got mine today 😭
but what happened with yours?
also anyone know if the asrock z690 pg velocita is a good mobo?
also does it glow/light up?
Looks pretty good to me, and it appears the VRM heatsink has a back glow effect
I wouldn't try to run very fast memory on it, it's only rated for up to 6400 with 2 sticks. Which is perfectly fine, you don't need more than that usually.
Was thinking 6000 cl30's maybe?
issue is tiktok shop doesn't list the CL latency on their rams
so you have to assume sadly.
Sometimes you can tell by model number
https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr5-sdram/p/N82E16820374369 this is 86.28 after tax
USD btw
it is CL30 but that's for first timing
https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb/p/N82E16820374451 or this one which is 93.78 after tax but it's CL 32 then 39 39 and 102??
plus no clue if it being "AMD expo ready" makes a difference on my intel xmp
Nah it functionally does not matter if it's xmp or expo ready
It's the same difference
Besides expo memory also has xmp profiles
On either kit, if you're willing to take 5min you can get better than either kit by some easy tuning
Idk if tuning is even the right word, just some quick easily stable hynix settings
https://www.newegg.com/xpg-32gb/p/N82E16820246069 are any of these good then?
anime figures you say?
5600+ cl32 or lower
fr need me a gojo or a spike spigel
All gauranteed hynix
Ye
just the first timing has to be the factor?
Yep
alr
Idk how to tell a die from m die
Also there's 5600c46 kits
I'm not sure if every single 5600c46 kit is gauranteed hynix, but the t-create classic is
ah
would that xpg or g skill be a better choice?
Felix or fal might know
Are you looking for anything specific or just Hynix chips?
If I recall correctly, there’s like two confirmed RGB Team Group kits
nah more like if I were to buy ddr5 cause newegg was so kind to give me like a 40% or higher refund on my broken GPU, i'd buy ddr5.
Broken GPU?
long story short
Wait the one you just got?
I checked PCIE, display ports, reinstalled drivers, it's the card itself.
ya uhh not to sound racist here (i'm half asian but nobody knows that) but i'm gonna have to pay international shipping possibly for an RMA
considering they're mainly located in Hong Kong
dw
I tried calling them
got a chinese hotline
the U.S support is through email
Wait Wegg is gonna give you 40% back of what the card costed or 40% on top of what the card costed?
I’d assume so
cause like who wouldn't be bummed out, after black friday, brand new card, all that time and work to assemble just for it to go blah
and that you try notifying them around 10 mins AFTER they close :(
Yeah, ran into that with some Silicon Power products when I built my first rig
Well I’d check warranties from the manufacturer themselves
ngl I should probably check my warranty for my card
I know you don’t wanna do an RMA but it’d probably be useful down the road
nono I definitely want an RMA.
cause I have 15% cash back, and 21$ worth of pricematching on this order
so I don't wanna lose all of that.
Yeah, just sucks you gotta ship it back if you do the RMA
ya. who knows how long it'll take but hey it's free
Nope they contract out to third party repair centers in your region
I plan calling them tomorrow, my plan is to see what i can work out
All manufacturers do?
Most do
oh. but that's what I suppose through manufacture
Too much of a hassle with customs?
The ones that don't contract out have their own first party centers
Yeah international shipping and tracking is impossible in some cases
ya plan is i'll see what retail/wegg can do for me
MSI for example has a first party repair center in Arizona iirc, even though they're a Taiwan company
true
if they can't do much i'll ask for manu number and see what they can do
Sapphire runs on a ticket system before they approve the RMA https://support.sapphiretech.com/Default.asp?lang=eng
mobo won’t detect my GPU at all. i tested another GPU in the mobo and it worked fine. but not my GPU.
it’s also a RTX 4080 so i’m just worried that the replacement unit they send me will not be defective…
did your gpu ever spin?
like the fans, not the gpu itself lmao
u mean the case fans?
all the fans are running
the fans on the GPU itself was also spinning
everything lights up too
mobo works
the only issue is that GPU isn’t detected at all so mobo decides to use its integrated graphics to boot windows instead of the external RTX 4080
and then when i used a spare external AMD RX560 GPU, by swapping out the rtx4080, RX560 gets recognized by the mobo and so it decides to boot windows on the external RX560
so i figured my RTX 4080 is just “broken” for some reason
did you try different display ports?
yes
all of this was caused by enabling XMP on a 4 ram stick config
now i’m afraid to even do XMP for a 2 ram stick config
😭
while mine literally artifacts
another day, another struggle
Have we tried clearing CMOS and updating bios?
yep… and every “solution” i find on the internet doesn’t seem to be working
ya it's a pretty unlucky issue
it’s like the XMP on 4 ram stick sent a weird signal toward rtx 4080 causing it to be crashing
unless i can somehow “reset” the GPU itself
does the GPU itself have like memory etc
ram can wreak havoc on stuff
or that the issue originally didn't appear until conciding events happens
computers are weird
i’m gonna try one last thing
gonna go to a friends house rn and plug my RTX 4080 into their PC
but their motherboard is pretty old so idk if it will work
this is their board, hopefully it recognized 4080?
ok nvm im done trying
their PSU is 600w
no way it can power the 4080 with everything else
Heya, I have 3200 mhz rams 2x8 but it shows 2133mhz in taskbar, i have checked bio and its set to 3200 what should I do? a friend told me that if you make it to 3200 you are overclocking your pc and let it be as it is rightnow , any help?
windows inaccurately detects ram speed
if bikes says 3200, you're running 3200
and what your friend is referring is wrong
xmp is a profile your ram runs as advertised
Can you check ur DM? sadly i cant send screenshots here yet 😄 since im not lvl 3
sent screens in DM if you dont mind checking them
keep docp on
running 2133 will hurt your performance
even if windows says 2133
your pc is running 3200, so don't worry
it's working as it should
task manager's just trash at detecting ram speed
ty!
Quick Little question
I have the card linked here. I was looking to get the Cablemod 12VHPWR should i get the 2 8Pin PCIE to 12VHPWR or 3 8Pin?
how long does your pc take to turn on?
i would not assume windows is wrong on this personally
especially sometimes your pc will just fail to post overclocked settings but then boot into windows at default settings like nothing happened
which is why i asked how long the pc takes to boot
I fixed it , updated BIO (i was using the one which wasp ublished last year) so after I updated it shows the correct one now
sometimes i'll try to boot some crazy settings and it gets into windows and i'm like "no way" but then it's running default settings
ah, nice, yeah updated bios can help with overclocking stability sometimes
glad you fixed it
was it taking a long time to turn on though?
just out of curiosity
Does anyone know if ryzen 7 7730U a good cpu for a work laptop?
What else is inside the laptop
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZZBTPF How this build
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
9.8/10, though the ram is oos
If you haven't bought it I can grab you a link for another kit
Looks extremely familiar

yea i havent bought it yuet
LOL
Shouldi get a better psu? i heard corsair has problems
??
The rm is among the best psus
Corsair overall has problems, PSUS are not among them
oo okay iv just had bad experience everytime i get a corsair psu something is wrong with it lol
Though this is just as good for $5 less https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mgvdnQ/thermaltake-toughpower-gf1-snow-tt-premium-850-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ps-tpd-0850fnfagx-w
Yeah overkill even for a 4090 and 14900k on ln2
I dont think i need that much. should i keep the corsair then?
this right
btw im not going for a all white build its just something felix helped me with
im having a company build this for me btw bc the first pc i built i didnt quite understand it and i was nervous doing it lol
Uhhh
Not really lol
The 4090 part anyway
💀
i just HOPE this build i dont get any bottleneck bc that would suck
You won't
Or rather
You will, but you're gearing it so strong
It's impossible to really argue
That you can do any better
Atleast 3
Ight yea bet
For white and rgb
White w/o rgb https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9MWzK8/gskill-ripjaws-s5-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr5-6000-cl32-memory-f5-6000j3238f16gx2-rs5w
Also same as the faster teamgroup kit, but obviously bit slower xmp. Still hynix though https://pcpartpicker.com/product/bbJgXL/teamgroup-t-force-delta-rgb-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr5-5600-cl32-memory-ff4d532g5600hc32dc01
Anything 5600+cl32 or lower gauranteed hynix. Could vastly improve your 1% lows with some quick changes in bios to any of these kits
5600c32 kit with 5 min of effort would do better than a 6000c30 xmp
Felix can confirm/explain more he knows more about ram tuning than I do
Iv never ramed tuned before though
I have a d4 die that's similar, good for tuning
also im not going for awhite build its just something felix gave me as a list xD
I spent like 10min the other day in bios for it (I've never tuned before)
Ah, do you want a black list?
Do you care about looks at all?
nope
Really you can buy any kit known to be hynix and put in basically any other hynix xmp for zen 4 and it should work no problems
yea but how much more performancewill it actually help though
I was just about to take a picture, brb
A noticeable amount in 1% lows
Nah it's not tuning
bet then yea ill do it
if felix helps me 💀
You're just inputting the more expensive xmp manually
Gpu ocing is nice too, cpu oc is kinda useless for gaming
The smarter choice for versatility. Whatever you're doing or wherever you are, you can count on the smart 360-degree convertible IdeaPad Flex 5 to seamlessly adapt to you with its tough-tested drop-down hinge, which offers more ergonomic typing by lifting the keyboard, the latest AMD Ryzen™ 7 773...
yea i oc my gpu amd btw and it was confusing af
Aight dope, few min
Is this a good laptop? Won’t be playing games
bet ty
Gpu oc on nvidia is easy
Example. This is how many numbers you'd put in to make an xmp from scratch
oh bruh tahts it?
EXPO adds two more, trc and trefi iirc
Yes
This is why I make such a big deal out of it
Then you get the fast ram for cheap af
Cos it's all the same underneath
but doesnt dif games run differenetly based on what ram set i have no matter if its tuned or not?
Even then hynix itself on ddr5 is naturally fast
Yes, that's why I keep saying hynix
Hynix is the key word
You get a hynix kit, and you'll get the best results
oh bet
With 7800x3d any xmp 6200 or less should work 100% if you input it correctly on a hynix kit
Ram is gauranteed hynix, the case is nicer but the upgrade isn't needed at all, also plenty of other case options other than g360a
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8bvbCd
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
that board is micro though so wont it look weird in the case?
If you want it all black for the sake of it all being black, just swap cooler to the black 214xt
that wont effect perforamnce?>
Nah matx in atx builds is very normal
And nah not at all
I had an mitx mobo in a very very large atx case
Ye true
ATX is a dying form factor anyway
Or pop air mini
Can you fit a 4090 in a matx?
Yes
easier cable management in the nicer cases as an added bonus
Can fit a 4090 in some mitx cases
wait so what am i doing to this build he just sent
Damn
Basically, there's a lot of case options
Around $80 is the most I'd spend on one ATM imo
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
Shouldnt i add some more fans? only 2 intake and 1 exhaust?
Nah that's plenty, but could get 3 pack of c12c for $13
It has enough
How's this compare to the nova mesh? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/yxytt6/lian-li-lancool-205m-mesh-microatx-mini-tower-case-g99oe744mx10am
Or ap201
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8bvbCd Ill proly stick with this build, i like this case its the one i currently have for my build rn
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
G360a is among my favorite recommendations
It's solid at $90, you can get it off tiktok for like $55
fr? xD how
Bet ill check it out rn
but that list is 100% good?
im selling my current pc tonightr for 900 bucs
Shoud i get another ssd?
?
for the new one>?
is there a better gpu i can get for the price im paying for the 7900xtx or nah
i heard 7900xtx is amazing
xtx is amazing
unbeatable value
maybe there'll be a 4080 sale tmrw
but i doubt it
i ordered the case for 63.15$
ez
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
This is my computer I built in 2014.
Planning to MAYBE build a new one next year, but wondering in the meantime if any of these parts are worth replacing individually until next year or so? Maybe I can even sell it to buy a new one which I've never tried either? Maybe just worth not replacing anything until just getting a whole new one either? Curious on opinions.

Damn, didn't realize it was that complicated haha, made it public now. Private I guess is default.
My Custom Build - Intel Core i5-4670K, GeForce GTX 1080, NZXT Phantom 630 ATX Full Tower
The psu is good, gpu is ok
Depending on what you want to spend, could carry those over.
As for upgrades, meh. Possibly an extra 8tb stick of ram
Wait nvm
Phantom 630 sounds like me on a day off in the morning
Thought it was 1x8 not 2x8
8tb a lot
Install my everything, on my ram
Anyone know if I get a 7800x3d and 7900xt build do I need to get a 1440p monitor?
So when I build a new computer, I am def going not use any parts of my old one it’s almost 10 years old. Question is if there are any Black Friday sales worth replacing an individual part or just fully rebuild next year and forget upgrading anything.
Part 2 question is if I could get anything for this comp if I sell it or not bother?
Bacca should i wait to order it for tommrow or do it now
is it fine if i use cable extentions on the 3090?
And that’s why I run 64Gb
just curious how often should i dust my computer
ive had it for a month now
and i was wondering when i should dust it
6400 cl32 ram or 6000 cl30 ram?
I mean, the gpu is still relevant. It competes with the 4060, which is current gen.
I wouldnt spend any money upgrading that unless it's something you can reuse for the new build, like a new case or ssd
The txm 850 is a solid psu, id trust it with a 4080 no problem.
Cam always cancel an order if a better deal pops up
Though it might take a couple days for the money to go back
If that's not an issue, order now

https://www.costco.com/msi-aegis-r-gaming-desktop---13th-gen-intel-core-i7-13700f---geforce-rtx-4060ti---windows-11.product.4000139263.html
should I get this in store or try to convince my parents to build a pc?
Either diff pre built or custom
That's really bad value
I cant search for a better one rn, I gotta leave soon
any recommendations?
Hey also, plenty of other good deals on tiktok btw
Custom system on cyberpowerpc for pre built, theyre best value atm with a few exceptions with recent sales
Do you need keyboard headset and mouse?
no I got everything. My old laptop fried couple months ago so I’m getting a new system but I have everything else
Monitor too?
Also on cyberpower rn you get a free mouse pad, you'll see what I mean when i link one, but top option when you go to customize just select it bc w hy not
It's gonna be this build but most parts swapped out
https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Daily-Deal-4060
yup
1080p or 1440p
And what's total budget for the pc
And do you have any parts you can carry over like ssd, psu, maybe case?
like which ones should i get
I don’t really know yet about buying online my moms a bit concerned about it. I’d say like 1000-1300
Sane I gotta run, but like I said to frost dm me and I got you within an hour
Also, is best buy an option?
For in person
yes
alright
bet gotchu
really been looking at building my first PC and really stuck on which graphic card would be best. Mainly play games like dayZ, rust and would like to play escape from tarkov. would a 4060 run just fine or a Ryzen 7 7700X be okay?
Hm
uhh a 7700x isn't a card
We need to start from the top it seems
fr
few questions, budget, country, and what resolution? (1080p, 2k or 4k?)
and ANY preferences? (Like no rgb, black or white build, etc)
@vital magnet how much are you willing to learn? Or would you rather just us give you a build for your budget
Dayz and rust are not heavy games so you wouldn't need a huge budget
@cyan ravine quick question but 6400cl32 or 6000cl30?
Either or, both are good
also for ddr5 build should I aim for a 12600kf since it's cheap or go for a 7600
but the ram is a 6$ diff
The cheaper of the two
Budget is around $1800-$2200 and live in the US and preferably 2k resolution
You can manually dial in the xmp of the faster one if you need to
and as much as possible
alright cool, also are you familar with tiktok shop?
You can do a lot for 2K, is that before or after tax, with monitor, keyboard, mouse? Wifi?
i already have a monitor with kbm as i play with it on my console
and before tax is fine
yes
got a 27’ Acer 240Hz
What resolution
2560 x 1440
Ok easy
Brb
@vital magnet boop
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/McrYQP
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
If 4090's weren't stupid expensive rn I'd be able to fit one here
Any questions feel free to ask
solidigm is 60$ on tiktok shop w a 30% off (max of 20$ off)
And if anyone knows a tiktok disc-
hi felix ;)
idk if he wanted a white or black build
@vital magnet ?
also @cyan ravine can't that board handle 6000 or does it have to b 5600
you can just put in a 6000 xmp
it'll work
I picked the cheapest rgb hynix kit in white
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cnvqBL any opinions?
Part List - Intel Core i5-12600KF, Radeon RX 7800 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Part List - Intel Core i5-12600KF, Radeon RX 7800 XT, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
preferably white because it would go with my desk and all
xtx > 4090
def no amd bias trust
Uhhh that belocita is cheaper cause of the tiktok shop
Idk if it makes a difference.
Also I thought that bitfenix nova case was absolute garbage
Whats the pc case with the screen in it?
or a screen ucan put in it
broo this mobo is insanely nice
but not paying the price for it
y tho
It aint worth the price
Bios doesnt set the correct stuff half the time, good ram frequency is a pain to set unless you spend days manually tuning voltages, timings dont set half the time
Cant use anything in the Gen 5 M.2 slot without throttling the GPU
And Gigabyte warranty is complete garbage
Can anyone help me find a different nvme for this build (preferably Amazon), https://pcpartpicker.com/list/23PTPF
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6800, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
Do you mean diff ram? It's oos, ssd isn't
Nope just the ssd, the ram came in today
Because it’s taking super long to come and I already have almost every part for my build
1tb pricing starting to get pretty mid again
If you're just gaming it doesn't matter
Kinda yeah, didn't know
Can't see any tiktok stuff so
Not really. I mean objectively it's not great, but it's a mesh box with fans
So it's not really too important
It covers the basics
?
Quick question - with Atx, mAtx and mITX/ITX, Is there always a max speed of ram you can run on it BECAUSE of its size or because of the manufacturer limiting it?
Cause like I think it’d be possible for an ITX to run 6000 but I’m not 100%
No there isn't
An itx mobo, if it were built as well as the best z790s or b650s could do just as high ran speeds
Alr cause my cousin might do the z690M-itx asrock
But issue is it’s ddr4 so..
Even if he went with ddr5
Yeah that don't work
Ddr4 mobo does not take ddr5 no matter the size of the motherboard
The slot is built differently
oh ya that's a no brainer just tiktok shop availability is what I was talking about
Ah mb
Hmm
I’m really planning on buying that z690 Velocita board from asrock
Idk if it’s that good though compared to others, considering it’s 134.66$ USD after tax for me. Also it comes with some gpu holder? What does that do
It's a gpu sag bracket ig
Gpu sag is when a gpu doesn't stay level with the pcie slot due to its weight pulling it down
If its bad, on some gpus it can't break it
Any reason you're looking at that mobo specifically?
This is basically the same price, I dont know which one is a better buy.
I have that goober
Ik what gpu sag is 😭
But I just didn’t know where it’d go
Oh lmao sorry
Considering it looked like it was in an awkward place on the image
It kinda looked like a handle bar to hold the mobo 💀
Yo low key
Do you plan to cpu oc or ram tune?
Because this is $130 before 30% off
$91 after 30% off coupon
Why 💀
It's a good mobo
I mean sure but still 😭
You forgot the power bill
its worth it
@autumn gulch just to make sure, i have everything i need for a new build besides gpu and case right?
also sorry for the @ i just remember you being helpful before
Yea it’s just missing case and gpu or fans if you need any
Doesn’t have iGPU
You’ll need a GPU to test
ok thank you. i will be reusing my old gpu for a bit and the case i want i cant afford right now but i get paid in a few days so may buy it then and i have fans
im reusing my old one
Alright NVM then
Ah fair enough
itll bottle neck some but its for sure worth it
Also you might want to get another ssd if you want separate boot drive
ok once paid ill might get fans, case, and a better m.2
and leave the 512gb as the os and drive for normal things and get like a 2tb one for games and things like that
neweggs order has been made
What cpu are you using it for?
Hey guys, how should I adjust this to get the best CPU cooling performance?
ryzen 5 7600
Is it an aio or fan curve
Def don't want that kit, ryzen 7000 isn't likely to run over 6200mhz without tuning
7200mhz even with tuning it'd be difficult
Do you want rgb?
Wtv this is
so pick up the 6400 or 6000 mghz
I'll grab a link to a kit, do you want rgb?
7200 would only run with desync on uclk so it actually performs worse than 6000 synced to add to this
im buying off the tik tok shop so an rgb g skill kit is prefered
First option
@mossy venture
Brand doesn't really matter, that would be my suggestion
Sorry one min
U good
I'll grab a g.skill kit in a second though
alright
what makes the team group kit better
I'd say just leave it at stock imo. If you notice Temps getting too high then I'd make a more aggressive fan curve
It has a low CAS latency
6000c30 vs 6000c38
It also has a hynix die instead of Samsung or micron, which that g.skill kit has
Hynix is a lot better for ram tuning
Like, not even comparable
G.skill software sucks my guy, the trident heatsinks as well. Would recc TG over them
ok thanks
TG kits tend to be better in ddr5 of late
Unless you buy the stupid good ones
Like 8000+
i have a tg kit in my current pc rn as well
The only good thing about g.skill is the warranty really
And pay a fortune for no gain
Yeah, I did just upgrade my CPU, which is why I'm guessing my temps are quite high atm.....however, I'm gonna restart my PC once all my updates are done downloading and hope my temps can regulate a little bit (If restarting helps tho)....I went from a Ryzen 5 5600x to an R7 5800x3D
I like the TG rgb. It's so much less flaky than g.skill
I don't like rgb, but if I had to pick I'd take TG pretty easily
As divisive as it may look to some (the pics do no justice)
do you know of any good micro atx cases on the tik tok shop
@mossy venture alr so my temps are averaging between 51-55c when not playing a game. Yeah I do have a lot on my desktop, but I'm trying to make sure....
cause with my old CPU it used to fall around 39-45c
when not playing a game of course
Load temps matter, idle doesn't unless it's like 80 at idle
But if you want to make the curve more aggressive you just shift everything left a little
So is it alright? Can I try something to check the temps?
H5 flow, pop air mini, montech air 100
First three that come to mind
yeah I think I made it Full Speed
I'ma try hoppin on a game of Siege to test out the temps
any suggestions on printers i need something that is kinda cheap but also ink is cheap
Something Brother, or at least nothing HP
HP gets you with cheap printers and then they charge double for ink, while preventing you from using third party ink
yea i know we got a free hp one and if you dont use it in a month it drys up and its another 24 dollars for one
does tg make good ssds?
Yeah, MP33, MP34, MP44, all good
are there any alternatives to this? https://www.microcenter.com/product/668360/asus-rog-strix-ga15-g15dk-ga15dk-mb786-gaming-pc
anything much better for the price
2tb for 77 dollars i could not complain about that price
Nothing significantly better in the price range, the stuff around that $40 per TB mark is more or less the same
Can definitely recommend brother
I bought a brother printer in 2020
Still running on the ink it came with
Plus brother doesn't lock you out of using the third party "XL" cartidges that cost half of a standard first party one
Mine is refillable
Even better
But I'm happy to give them my money cuz like
It's like $20 every 2 years for my usage
Where as hp is $20 every 2 weeks
do you know anything about gamemax cases
Depends on the model
Also any reason you prefer matx?
If its bc matx mobo, matx mobos fit in atx cases and don't really look weird
price point non the motherboard
How much you spending on the whole build?
Dope, could possibly fit a 4070 ti in there
Mind giving me a few and seeing what I throw together?
i already ordered a 6800xt
literslly everything except thr case
7600
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8bvbCd This but i get the gigabyte b650m Gaming x mobo and then the phantom spirit from thermalright cpu cooler Heres the final list :) about to start the order
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
hopefully same time frame
This the case you were looking at?
And nice, 7600+6800xt nice combo
Oh you ordered it all already?
If not p41 plus is a bit better of an ssd and $62 on pcp
well shoot
It's not a huge difference, I wouldn't worry about it too much
i got 50 bucks off from a 100 dollar order
Overall that is a very nice list
For tiktok?
is there anything else i might need
yes
Do you have a monitor yet?
yup
Is it 1440p?
What games do you plan to play?
If you play a lot of first person shooters like valorant and csgo that's fine
Hm alright, then I guess it's up to you
What would you rather have
Better image quality, bit lower fps
id kinda rather the fps
Or worse image quality, possibly seeing individual pixels if it's 27", and higher fps
it is 27
1080p pixel density at 27" is pretty meh, but you can always upgrade later
it was a steal so at the very least its a second monitor
You could have two, use that one for games like val and csgo and then a 1440p 144-170hz one for games where it's not as important
Yeah $130 for that isn't bad
indeed
What about this case?
The front does look weird imo
But it's pretty solid
Also 903 Max, but thats a huge case
yeah im stumped on a case
4000d airflow white also $60 after coupon
3000d airflow white same price
G360a $100 before coupon
Also did you get mouse/keeb/mic/headset
i have all of it
Ah kk
What about mouse pad?
thats actually something that could use upgrading
what is my prof cooking in this homework
i have a random corsair one
what does having an rtx 3090 have to do with lunch 👀
this is good right im good to order?
is she eating 3090s for lunch
are you planning to do manual ram tuning?
mhm
ok just making sure
that ram kit would be hard to recommend for casual plug and play
yea only reason for that ram iv never ram tuned but felix says it takes like 5mins to do
depends on how far you want to get into it
but yeah you can have it matching good xmp ram in 5 minutes
save a couple bucks
Yea thats waht im shooting for
if i were you i'd bump the air cooler up to something like a pa120 for like $15
just seems kinda strange to have such a low end cooler in a $2k build
im getting the phantom spirit from thermalright cpu cooler
it'll keep the 7800x3d from throttling but the pa120 is worth $15 extra at this budget i think
is that good?
