Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, Radeon RX 6800, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
I don't really like reccing 5700x anymore, but 12600k perf with cheaper mobo
What multi tasking are you doing
But you said newest tech isn’t important?
This is a very varied question I cannot answer
Editing/multiple chromes/multiple software
Yeah you're good
Do you have a high refresh rate monitor?
32gb is plenty and then some
I have a laptop with 240hz, RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
But not at the moment
You can't really connect this pc to that display
Doesn't work :p
With parsec or what?
Change some stuff
parsec?
Bc that uhh
Don’t recall,
parsec has latency, so that's not good
@mossy venture you got a list of like RTX and Intel cpu? That’s the only parts I really know
Can fit monitor in budget https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZRPgJy
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6700 XT, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
nvidia gpus new are worse value
they'd end up looking the exact same as prebuilts
Unless you go used for gpu
and 6700xt equals to 3070ti
6700xt beats 3060 ti in raster
6800 is a lot faster
Nah not that far, unless driver updates changed it that much
yeah my bad 6700xt does beat it
Ohh you meant 3060 ti not 3070 ti lol
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
6700xt is similar to a 3060ti but with more vram
@obsidian wigeon if you can dm me a list of the best prebuilt that you have mentioned, and the best parts on Pc part picker I will do some extra research. But am thinking of building it on my own since you guys know what your doing
3060ti-3070ti 8gb vram is becoming a problem
Part List - Intel Core i5-13400, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
I would definitely go for 6700xt over 3060 ti any day of the week though
Damn
Like sips said, more vram in addition to better perf
i don't like how games are so unoptimized but that's a different conversation
That looks good
i'd just get radeon
3060 ti just isn't worth tho
you have more vram to play with
Give me the list with 6700, and can you use Intel or not compatiable?
If you want nvidia, look for a used 3080 10gb, should be around $350-400
3060ti will face issues with 2023 games if you dare run them at high settings
Sure, I made you one above, let me find it
i don't think needing >8gb vram means unoptimized on its own
consoles got 16gb
im aware
was only a matter of time
ofc
Would you be able to do xt and Intel?
i went over it at this point
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800, BitFenix Nova Mes... this is the best one
Wtf
Or is there a better option?
Thanks for y’all help btw ❤️
there are no compatibility issues between intel cpu and radeon gpu
my solution is to not play those games since consoles have outpaced lower tier hardware released now
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
set my expectations to appropriate levels
at this point beating the ps5 with a pc is pretty trivial
Can be done in around $550 not including used I think
What do I loose if I downgrade to a 6700
remember that ps5 has more expensive games and you have to pay to go online
I remember buying the ps5 the first day it was released
sony just increased their ps gold subscription price too
I was the first mf to get it

also as far as i can tell the ps5 is still $500
ouch
No not really
Prices have decreased a lot
Digital is $349 if you look at the right store
hm
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 4500, Radeon RX 7600, MagniumGear Neo Micro V2 MicroATX Mid Tower
What I came up with, tho 4500 kinda sad bc of cache
if you get good used deals you can probably do 5600 + rx 6700 for $500 these days
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mzcRkJ @mossy venture if I downgrade to a 6700 how much do I save and what do I loose?
Going used could def beat/match ps5 without cheaping out as bad as I did in that list lol
💀
Well make sure it's the 6700xt, not 6700
6700 and 6700xt are priced so closely together
But like what, 20% gpu perf sips?
r5 4500
25?
definitely not that dramatic
Ah alr
more like 12.5%
Oh wow I was off, mb
Yeah atp 7600 for $230 is much better than 6700 at what, $280?
And do you have a prebuilt version of https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mzcRkJ, since you said nvidia is not that good
Do you mind providing me with one, just want to see the example
Just wondering how much I save
prebuilts with radeon gpus are pretty rare
Labor cost? Profit cost?
I can try to make a similar one on cyberpower but it'd be a few hundred more likely
7600 is pretty good but the 8 gigs kinda hurts it for me
Yeah, just not really worth the $50 at that budget imo
Those websites are scams, I would check newegg
^
They get too much profit
For prebuilts
Unless it gives me the option
To build it myself
Uhhh
well sometimes cyberpower prebuilts are very cheap
That's kinda what pre built companies do
they get on discounts
Do you mean pick the parts and they build it?
and prebuilt companies has to profit off the builds they sell
Yea of course but I was told some of them profit $400
On a 1k built
maybe build redux does that lol
build redux with the spicy 4060 prebuilt for $1500
yep
Thanks for your help, am going to spend the next couple days seeing if I can find a prebuilt worth the price, if not I will prob build it myself
But am liking the one
I’ve been given
next couple of days? that's more time than just building one
I can’t trust myself with building one
If I mess stuff up
It’s going to be a disaster
Best I managed is 5600x and 6700xt for $1200 with a 1tb ssd and 16gb ram
Send me that
💀
If you order the parts yourself, you can find a store locslly that can assemble it for you
While it's still expensive you get the customization, you get the better quality and performing parts, and you'll still save more money than going for that cyberpower build
The closest micro center is 6hrs away
Doesn't have to be mc
are you in the bay area lol
You gotta have some kind of local pc shop, just search Google like "local pc shop", and it'll bring up map searches
Thanks for the suggestion but man do I not trust those companies
My first custom build a local shop built for me
Mf will replace it with a worse part
...
Take a picture of the parts you order
Sue if they steal from you and win much more than you paid
You would be getting a lot more than that
if you're in the bay area bring it to me
you have 10 days
Where you live 💀
Sips is highly recommended
If you want anything more than that dm him (ask him directly first bc im not just going to have you dm him lol)
the closest micro center should only be like 2 hours away then no?
i guessed you were in the bay because the closest micro center is 6 hours from me lol
micro center is in tustin
you don't hit LA traffic on the way there
that's still OC
Your very close to it
Man in SD
The traffic here
Is horrible
It takes 45min to go 10 miles
good thing i don't have a car in LA
one time it took me an hour to drive 3 miles and someone jumped in front of my car
👍
average LA experience
That sounds about right
Our car did not move for 4 hrs in San Diego I-8
👍
Would have been faster if we walked home
paying for parking is also lovely
paying $20 parking to go eat your $40 dinner
average LA experience
having friends is expensive
just stay inside and talk about computers instead
San Francisco hub of car theft?
And car vandalism am guessing?
Or the news be lying
luckily i live far enough from san francisco to not have reasons to go to san francisco
You seem like you work as a software developer?
That’s my guess
You in uni?
ucla is the reason i am going back to la
I was accepted into ucla but never went
My plan is to go to SDSU for 6 months
Then go to WGU
Fully online, can get the degree in 1 year if you don’t have a life
Which degree
Computer Science
In a year? How?
that does not sound like fun
WGU is fully online, can be completed as fast as you want it.
So that means
You can complete a class in 1 week
If you spend 2 days on it
Like locked in
dunno how you can complete that in 2 days
And then do it again
If you spend 12 hrs in 2 days
There is a YouTubers who got a computer science degree in 3 months but never left their house
so.. extremely easy classes then
Imo you can do it if you are talented allat but if you wanna learn new things and stuff I’d rather do the 4 year degree
Super easy, no zoom, no travel, just look at the course material take the quiz and continue
I have 3 years of experience in PHP / HTML / CSS / JavaScript / SQL / Java / C++ so what am learning is useless
I can get my degree in a year
If I spend 1 day out of the week
Just doing classes
Yeah is you already have experience just finish it quick and get a job
Only one day?
That one day you spend like 10 hrs
Imo not bad
No zooms, no professors, you fail a exam, just look at the course materials and retake it the next day
Did I mention FULLY Remote
Or you can do 2 days 5 years each and do something else rest of the week
2x cheaper than SDSU
I have to
Drive
45min to go to SDSU
Good
Idk how much is sdsu 💀
Where you live?
I pay
8k a semester
WGU is 3k
Damn that’s it? No way
But I did financial aid
Any catches and anything like that?
And had a full ride
The only catch is you won’t get a ceremony
After your done
No the government payed for mine
Tbh I don’t care about ceremonies lol, I don’t like celebrating my graduations kinda seem pointless to me
Live laugh US money
Are you first gen?
How old are you and what state?
Had my mom go to local college
For a associate
That’s all
My parents are forcing me to go to a college physically, I’ve told them after the semester is over am going fully remote. 1 year if I focus and spend 3 days 6hrs a day, 2-3 years if I spend 1 day for 6 hrs
New Mexico right?
I mean fully remote does seem nice but you won’t learn necessary skills just a degree
Ye
I loved remote during high school
I learned more remote than pusical
I actually got sleep during remote
I did stuff I wanted with extra time
Less homework on remote too
I don’t like remote and I like physics better but my school is dog
Btw if you haven’t heard, your governor is tryna remove the 2nd admendments rn 💀💀💀💀
Is it the firearm one?
Yes
Where you from?
Just saying people are pissed off rn
Where were you born?
I don’t care as much lmao guns are too much violence
I don’t wanna share sorry
Ik XD
?
?
I don’t learn anything in my high school
I needa
I don’t wanna go remote I have a really good college near me
But yeah I need to learn coding but I just don’t know how
I wanna learn C
are there any places that still sell 2x16gb sticks of ddr3 1600mhz? (not my pc, its a friends and ram is what holds his pc back on his main game. He wants to upgrade the ram to temporarily hold out until he can afford to build a new pc.)
Chat gpt and making projects
his mobo only has 2 slots I believe
then he's out of luck
Wdym chat gpt lmao
@earnest olive what Pc do you have?
Ask chat gpt when you don’t know something
uhh
If you want to learn C
i have been too lazy to make an updated part list
Find projects that involve C
How much is the pc
If I was you
I would rather start in PhP
It teaches you back end
Back end is very important
True true
13700k, tuned 32gb b-die, 4080 with strix vbios, 3tb nvmes, 1000w atx3 psu
Tbh I don’t even know if I wanna do computer science I’m thinking about my major still
You won’t learn C
Wdym by tuned bdie
You will learn Java
tuned b-die means tuned b-die
Naw in our college it’s diff
What does tuning ram mean
raise frequency lower timings
read a guide
I need to lol
hard to keep track at this point
been switching parts in and out
You selling any spare parts 💀
i want to say probably around 1.1k
Ong? With a 4080?
Wow nice
Schools do that?????
then best buy made a mistake and sent me the wrong cpu
so they partially refunded me on the cpu i didn't pay for
mobo was a used deal for $100
Where did you find used parts mostly?
Famous YouTuber or some lmao
picked up case fans for like $3 each
Where

Which cooler
wait i forgot to count the internal monitor and fancy cables lol
ok maybe 1.2k
galahad 360
those were actually not used
straight off of newegg
But still that’s so good for the build you have
was it a price error
Also when do most of these deals happen? And also do they send them in the tech deals section?
Is it a aio or air cooler
well it's got 360 in the name
How did you find it and also where do you buy your used parts
mostly HWS
The college?
don't think i am allowed to send that
DMs or naw?
Not a build related question but I was hoping someone would know, I’ve had my iPhone 13 Pro screen have like a few scratches in it, along with a crack and it’s starting to bother me but I don’t wanna go replace it for 300$+, it looks simple on how to swap it out just I can’t find a place that sells a good one
Same with this iPhone 6 Plus my family has had, it’s been cracked for years and if I do this I might aswell fix it lol
i don't know a place that sells good ones, but you can follow big phone repair channels perhaps
What carrier do you have?
Miiight want to look at this before you try to change that screen https://www.ifixit.com/News/54829/apples-new-screen-repair-trap-could-change-the-repair-industry-forever
The screens are coded to work with the specific device and without factory calibration tools (which no one has, not even genius bar) you can get issues like that face ID disable, or incorrect touches, things like that.
^
you do need a device to program the screens
no need for stuff from apple, but it's additional expenses that you need to spend for those chinese apple display programmers
T mobile
They offer device protection plans starting at $7. If you grab that for your device and wait a week or so, you can claim you dropped your phone and cracked the screen. They should offer a same/next day screen replacement for no cost.
Okok thanks
They may even offer a whole replacement device for a small deductible.
@obsidian wigeon @earnest olive
Thoughts on this PC?
https://www.newegg.com/p/3D5-002D-00095?Item=9SIAZBDJYT2441&cm_sp=SP-_-1931196-_-0-_-3-_-9SIAZBDJYT2441-_-6700XT pc-_-6700xt|pc-_-1
^
I feel like the pc I mentioned above is better than the one you gave me yesterday.
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16883630027
^This was the pc you provided to me yesturday
can i double ping you :3 :#
Do it
no, i've infected you with a trojan that causes your mouse and keyboard to freeze if you try it
👀
11400f and 3060 ti would still game better
that explains why the funny lights on my keyboard stopped working
7600 is around 6700 perf
somehow i trust this less than not even mentioning the psu lol
what do you mean
nothing?
Was told the CPU should be upgraded for the best performance
the only three cpus you could upgrade to are 11600k, 11700 and 11900
none of those will game that much better since the single core is not that far ahead
the 11400f is a fine cpu
ima be a lil blunt for a second
i dont know how many times we gotta say it, the 11400f and 3060 ti is more than a fine pairing
the 11400f is more than enough for 1080p/1440p gaming with a 3060 ti
you could pair it with a 3080 and wouldn't see much of a bottleneck at 1440p
Got 1 question for you, sorry for bothering you
How hard would it be
to replace to a 1 TB
no its ok, im fine with answering questions just not the same one multiple times
you can just add storage you dont gotta replace it
just leave the original ssd in there, and add one as a secondary drive
wdym
How to add the 1tb into the already existing 500gb
I would need to purchase extra wiring am guessing?
nope
there's multiple slots
also this is one to consider https://www.newegg.com/p/3D5-001U-001F1
4060 ti is basically just a renamed 3060 ti
Ryzen 5 3600 upgrades to Ryzen 5 5600(6 core 3.5GHz) for free
not really similar to any of them, but i can pull up a performance comparison
i do not know what you're looking at so im not sure
oh wait i didnt see that
What does that mean?
looks like it comes with 5600
if it doesn't, false advertising and return/chargeback
this is a common prebuilt marketing thing
I haven't seent hat seller before though
reviews look fine on them though
and over 2k sales
basically they're saying they priced the PC like it has a 3600 but give you a 5600 instead to make you feel like you're getting a deal
it's all psychology
"Aw no way! Free upgrade? Must be a good value!"
Then there's the scammers that take advantage of that and hope you don't check what CPU you actually got, and/or when you complain they use deflection and stall tactics, but that doesn't appear to be the case here.
Lol its not like it's easily found the instant you get to settings
Or the bios lol
I guess they're just reeeeally hoping someone buying a computer isn't a computer enthusiast
Or even a basic user
450 for this.. never used apparently
He doesn’t wanna go for 400, especially with those crusty toes
It's $500 new, so I'm not sure if it's worth it
Nah warranty is worth at least $50 imo
warrantee is how I got a decent psu for $30
lmfao
Such a scam ngl
doesnt matter if its used your paying less because its a rando that could scam you
I don’t understand people who resell like “brand new” items on fbm, if it is just set up a resell page on amazon..
risk/cost analysis is like, an entire field of economics
They're trying to get their money's worth. Amazon and ebay take some fees if you sell there.
Yeah amazon has high fees, facebook is often preferred for preowned selling especially if you are doing local
It's nothing a basic 10% off coupon couldn't save you as a buyer though, not worth from that angle
I have no idea what you just said
tldr theyre price is laughable
You can use any old amazon 10% off coupon and get their asking price for the GPU with full warranty support
I was looking at your response to the message you replied to instead of the situation
I'm looking at it from the perspective of the seller though, he bought a gpu for presumably msrp or a bit lower, and it's already out of the return period. So you go on fb and sell it there for a bit less then what it's selling for new, since, in your eyes, it's brand new and shouldn't have any differences from a new one.
And what the seller doesn't realize is that it's VERY different from buying a new one
Yeah, it's not the same at all
If you're reselling something, it's as good as used no matter what went down
Unless it's still shrinkwrapped with the receipt and even still then
it doesnt matter youre gonna get less money for it purely the fact that youre not a business dont provide warranty etc
Exactly
im once again in need of yalls help
i decided to go 16gb of ddr4 instead of 32 cuz im too broke
which is best for less price and best cas latency
With what cpu bro?
Cheapest 16gb 3200c16
Which I believe is still silicon power
3600c18 for $4 more https://pcpartpicker.com/product/YmDQzy/silicon-power-gaming-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3600-cl18-memory-sp016gxlzu360bdaj5
Then I'd go for the 3200 bacca sent
Get a ssd and a hdd
how much did you spend on the 3070
It’s basically all trash
I can’t tell if this is a troll or not
Pls no
One sec
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 3070, Fractal Design Focus 2 ATX Mid Tower
If you need it cheaper let me know
7600 similar price to 12600k and dont need to buy separate cooler for it, stock is gine
And is a good bit better
Psu, the Thermaltake smart is known for killing builds
Leadex iii is among the best psus, it's 50w lower wattage but it's more than fine for a 3070
Especially with a low wattage cpu like the 7600
wait why is the 3070 900 dollars
Storage, you do NOT want to boot windows from a hard drive
They said they bought it alr, im really hoping not at that price
oh
Any difference?
Just noticed the priced dropped for the msi tomahawk b650 to 175 would you say that's decent?
Like 3-5% cpu perf
What cpu would you be using with it
If anything below 7800x3d, I'd say just go a620m pro rs
7800x3d
Are you just buying cpu mobo and ram?
Or making whole new build
Would the $60 diff make a difference going towards another part for you?
If not, and you'd like the nicer io and other small features, go for it
No budget, you basically helped me with the build over the weekend
You help so many people look
I'd say it's between the tomahawk and this for you then https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1725923-REG/msi_x670propwifi_pro_x670_p_wifi_am5.html
Buy MSI PRO X670-P WIFI AM5 ATX Motherboard featuring ATX Form Factor, AMD X670 Chipset, AM5 Socket, 4 x DDR5 RAM Slots, 6 x SATA III | 4 x M.2, 3 x PCIe 4.0 x16 | 1 x PCIe 3.0 x1, USB 3.2 Gen 1, Gen 2 & Gen 2x2, Wi-Fi 6E | 2.5 GbE | Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI | DisplayPort, Windows 10 & 11 (64-Bit) Support. Review MSI PRO X670-P WIFI
Won't make a difference in actual perf so I'd just look at the features of the motherboards, like ports and such and decide off that
get the tomahawk over the pro-p
For some reason I was checking some site and I thought it said it used 6400 ram but that's wrong I think
I’d rather get the Asrock Pro RS over a pro P
Yeah you wouldn't want over 6000mhz on amd, but any mobo will set you set whatever speed you want
For why?
Never really saw anything good with the Pro-P line of motherboards
That's like judging a psu by its brand
Maybe it’s different now but the reputation sticks with it to me
I thought msi had a good rep?
Z690 pro p was fine too
Eh, brand doesn't matter much
The x670 pro p is good, so is the b650 tomahawk
The tomahawk would arguably be better but it's mainly which boards features you will use more
They’ll all work fine for 99% of people it’s kinda just personal preference if you need more Io and stuff
Io, nvmes, etc
Or aesthetic
Or aesthetic
Talking to a noob here lo?
So asrock b 650 pro rs, gigabyte pro / elite or msi lol
i got my friends old one
no i don’t know anything abt pcs
i’m tryina build one
and all i got is the 3070 so far
it’s only a few months old but he upgraded and gave it to me for 25$ it works good and all
25 bucks? No way bro
yeah we’ve been close for a while
also do you need a lot of storage?
he told me to get 2tb
get a sdd instead of a hdd
im not an expert either other people will help you like bacca and felix
okok
lowkey i don’t know much but can this run rust relatively well
that’s my main goal with this pc bc i wanna be able to play it good without much buffer
cause i got rly good wifi i just want a good built
That's a good build
But yeah you'll want an SSD or an NVME storage drive, that's what makes load times go from a minute 1/2 to 3 seconds
You can do much better for your budget Im sure
i just want a starter for rn
thank you @teal dome @mossy venture @vague oracle for helping me and telling me my build was bad
You should wait until tmr don’t buy them yet, because if I were you I would like to have a lot of opinions of people to get the best value for my money
@teal dome Can I dm you rq?
Sure
yeah
my dad and mom want me to only spend 650 ish since i showed them the deal
@earnest olive Hey! Am going to build a pc, do you mind taking a look and giving a recomendation to improve?
Part List - Intel Core i5-12600K, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
Forgot to mention $950 budget, no wifi needed, US, preferablly white(case) Parts, 32gb ram
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XJ2BZJ leaving the case and fans alone since i'm just assuming that's your aesthetic preference
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
cheaper, more white/rgb, and much more performance
Do you mind changing the fans, it doesnt give me an option to buy
and for the case?
Do you have anything cheaper but white?
it's good for what it is
but the size may constrain future upgrades
since it's a microatx tower
i don't think my gpu would fit in that
i assumed that was something you wanted
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800, Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower
That looks good
Do you need extra fans?
or we good on that?
Am guessing I should upgrade the CPU?
In the future?
it's a balanced build
just upgrade everything at once
if you are really hung up on doing a drop in cpu upgrade in the future then go AMD
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hXpFGP
/
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CrX3t7
these are some of the other lists people gave me, Am buying your built but here are the others people suggested
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6700 XT, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Montech AIR 903 BASE ATX Mid Tower
7600 is a better choice if you just really really want to be able to upgrade cpu without changing the rest of the system
my list gets you 30-40% more immediate performance
So if your list added a 7600 would it be better?
even though it's cheaper than the other two
i mean
if you want to go over budget sure
it's not going to do anything for you now
the 12400f is plenty for the rx 6800
if you want to spend more money get 2tb storage or a 6800xt lol
no point upgrading cpu
Am guessing it will be 1k if I get the 6800xt?
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800 XT, Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower
pretty much
this would be more like a 50-55% bump over the other two lists
For what its worth, I second everything sips said
12400f is more than fine with a 6800xt at 1440p, id rather 12400f and 6800xt over 7600 and 6700xt any day of the week
So asrock b 650 pro rs, gigabyte pro / elite or msi lol
A620m pro rs
And it supports ddr5 7200?
Ofc, but you wouldn't do that on AM5
Aim for 6000-6400
Or if you know how to overclock like a pro, 8000+
The speeds between them due to the design of AM5 mean anything in between is slower
But most people are better off with ~6000mhz on ryzen because synced with uclk i believe it is gives better perf
Ye, until you get 8000+
Ofc this is generalising
@storm arrow if you want some proper advice on this, you pick the right ram kit without spending a fortune for it
You can get top shelf ddr5 for the price of $75-$95 for 32gb
I accidentally got 6400 thought it was 6
6400 should likely work, if you have issues, go down to 6200
This is for 7800x3d yes?
Yes
Ye it should probably work
6000 is basically guaranteed, 6200 is very common, 6400 is uncommon
If it was a ryzen 9 then I'd be way more doubtful of 6400
I just noticed the b650 tomahawk went down on price that's what I was going to get but if you recommend this board I'll do that
I do
A620m pro rs gives the same performance
If this wasn't your first pc and you had a lot of experience overclocking I'd recommend something else
The board is good enough for all their cpus amd has out rn
But get the wifi version if you do so
It should be $125
Not my first but definitely have no overclocking experience lmao
Otherwise get the a620m gaming x
But the pro rs has the same aesthetic as the b650 so you'll probably like it lol
x670 pro p is $150, if the extra features of that board (IO, nvmes etc) would be used by you $25 would be worth it
Yeah the pro p is an option too, but I wouldn't spend anymore than that
If you wanted a ton of storage, need the extra pcie slots for something like an ethernet nic or sound card, nvme enclosure
Capture card etc
Otherwise just go with the two a620m's I suggested
It's also full atx if you care about the aesthetic of that
Ye
Those are pretty much the only 3 we'd suggest
You get the 99% am5 experience without spending a fortune
Yeah am5 mobos are weirdly priced
Would be a good motherboard and operating system to get for my first build
Budget, region, what's the pc for? Wifi? Monitor, Keyboard and mouse included?
And have you bought anything yet?
^
We'll do all the planning for you in a few minutes with just these answers
Like felix said, budget for whole pc, country, use case, personal preferences like size, black or white, rgb or no rgb, do you need wifi, do you need more storage than the average user, etc
Do you need monitor/keeb/mouse in budget, if you have a monitor what is it
Yeah I want RGB
And country
And I definitely need a monitor to the main thing that's going to take a big amount of time to save up for is the RTX 4090
Ok so
Yes I do
If you're saving money up for it I would recommend the 7900xtx instead
Ok wait hold up
It outpaces the 4080 and is around $890-960 depending on sales
How much have you saved up
And if you're not buying this right now, a parts list is irrelevant as prices change daily, let alone in months
For your first PC I wouldn't recommend a 4090
What would be your recommendation then
And yeah I probably do need to make a parts list
What resolution do you want to game in
Does 7900 XTX perform better than the 4080 or just about the same
A fair bit better
Mas y menos
But what's your budget lol
So you have 2000 +to spend on a pc?
Honestly I'm not sure at the moment I'm still saving up for it I never even thought about keyboard and mouse or monitor until you just said that
Fair enough
Have you ever built a pc before
Nope I was just saving up for it andbuying stuff as I go
May want to practice on cheaper parts first for exp
Alr for your first pc I'd recommend something quite simple. I'll make something up real quick
This will be a 1080p ultra build
Nope I'm a newbie
Yea that’s not usually how it works
You gotta save up and buy it at once
Or at least within a close time
I would hate to spend a grand on a card just to break it trying to plug it in
True do you know which parts would be cheaper but still give me like a good game experience
12100k, b660m, 6600rx, ddr4 ram, any ssd
No but it's nerve wracking your first time
Hey I was hoping I could just save up for a different parts and just buy them separately yeah but I probably do need to save up and just buy it all at once cuz I still need a keyboard and monitor and a whole bunch of other stuff
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 4070, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
I’ve never built A full pc, but I know how to with my eyes closed
Usually you buy keyboard and mouse last but yea the pc you’d want to buy the stuff at once
I bought mine in waves over about a month, and used pay-in-four for a gpu
You wouldn't wanna do this
Just to spread the cost out
You want to buy everything at once, because if you get a DOA part you won't know till you build
Yeah thats true
What do you mean by DOA
I'm going to save this build and just buy a keyboard and mouse with it I'm just going to keep saving up my money until I can get it
What games are you even trying to play with it
Cause I’m pretty sure most of those fps games and non triple a ones will run on like a 1060
I'd check back here when you're going to buy, prices change daily
I was thinking fortnite maybe Black Ops 3
@grave ledge
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/y3M6RK
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6650 XT, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
You don't need a 4k card to have a good time
I think there's a 7600 with rgb for $230 Felix
A card that can produce a smooth gameplay experience is fine
Yea get a 80 dollar gtx 1070
But it no white
Fair
Do you have a link for the part
And thank you everyone for all your help for now I'm just going to focus on saving up so when I get enough money I'll come back here
Sounds good
But yea we would suggest something quite mid range for your first pc
Going straight to the top is the quick way to find out you probably didn't want to spend that much after all
^
Thanks for the advisor it would have been so bad if I actually saved up the money and just f***** up the whole thing
Right?
and there's a phenomenon called when you upgrade in hardware, you play games less

You'd feel better playing with normal stuff
Instead of literal money stacks in hardware
And these pc's are very competent anyway
Nowadays it's less about how high you go, more about what you're aiming for as an experience
You can quite easily get a solid gaming experience for everything you want on sub 1000
I just want a nice experience
Always thought about getting a game with PC because when I was younger my brother had gotten a gaming laptop and Acer one and we were playing fortnite on it it wasn't bad but it wasn't really great either
So then I imagine would it be like to have my own gaming PC with all the lights and stuff
Lol
I remember being like that
The honeymoon experience of pc enthusiasm
You want the flashy lights, the fast hardware
The showoff factor
Nah, just go on eBay or Facebook marketplace

There’s usually a bunch of them there
Thanks Gumball where's Darwin
We've all been there. Just shop smart and you can show off loud and proud

Aquarium

Of course you would leave him there
could someone help me replace my power supply im just tryina get a new one asap bc the one i was gonna get is unavailable
Country and what gpu/cpu
And how much are you looking to spend
u.s. gpu is a zotac 3070, cpu is a runen 5 7600
maybe 25-50
This would be bare minimum
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/xLtKHx/apevia-prestige-600-w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-atx-rp600w
i remember you gave me a build last night but the power supply was sold out
Leadex iii 550 I'd imagine
That's what I was going to suggest but yeah it's oos
Also did you spend $900 on that 3070?
Because if so please please please return it
Yeah 7900xtx for a lil bit more lol
he got a 3090
yeah i’m good i didn’t spend that much
Mind sending the list one more time?
yeah give me a sec
I'll check it over just to make sure everything's good
And if you want it cheaper lmk, it might be worth making it a bit cheaper in some areas to get a better psu
okay that would be nice, i’m trying to get one for my birthday which is in oct
Prices change pretty often, to a list today won't be a great option in October
Atleast not all the parts likely
@mossy venture I saw your message but I didnt understand
Did you have a better suggestion for https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kCkzN6?
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800 XT, Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower
my next build is probably gonna be flashy too..
oops
no, aside from maybe d.f2 850 for $5 more
could cut price in a few areas if you want it cheaper
how can it be cut? it wont be low quality parts right?
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800 XT, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
D.f2 is only b tier tho
gx pro is C tier, no?
@mossy venture Dont you think the video card shouldn't be 50% of the budget 💀
or am I wrong?
Thought it was b can't remember
it should be
@mossy venture Is there any other graphics cards very similar in performance but cheaper than
PowerColor Red Dragon OC Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB Video Card
Or will it make performance drop dramastically
Legion is b
What is the difference between XT and that product?
ah
still $5 for better efficiency extra 100w and 12vphwr connector (even though it's kinda pointless)
around 15% i think sips said the other day
Do you think a NVidia RTX TI video card would be cheaper and closer performance to the video card?PowerColor Red Dragon OC Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB Video Card
up to you
could go cheaper on psu too
toughpower grand rgb 650 is $75 after rebate
Sorry for asking you so many questions, if we are talking fps wise, how much of a difference would the 2 graphics card be?
it depends on games
Counter Strike? Fortnite ? Rust?
csgo not much
We talking like 100 fps difference in these games?
Close enough that there is no significant difference
👍
false
compared side to side you would def see a difference
you can search benchmarks on youtube
@mossy venture This is right?
no
ubm is absolute trash
oh wait also
7800xt is $500 now
this is more accurate
@mossy venture So I can get a 7800 xt which is better than the 6800 for the same price?
out of stock
💀
@mossy venture Take your time
and for this build
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800 XT, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
Do you think its smart
to change the ram
to a white color?
Just tryna do the athestics
Am tryna find the 32gb ram but white
looks like 7800xt is oos everywhere, so i guess that's off the table
all its giving me is $80
i got you, one sec
Thank you
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800 XT, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800 XT, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
Ok
So almost done
@little osprey Should I wait for the 7600 to be restocked?
@mossy venture *
What’s the cheapest platform for ITX currently?
7600?
prob am4 maybe?
7800 XT*
or maybe lga 1700 with z690m itx
Since its currently back order, and I have no clue when it will restock
eh, it's up to you. It's not much better than the 6800xt, they're basically the same with the 7800xt having a few more features
I was looking into doing LGA1150 but wondering if there’s cheaper options
