It is the only cpu beyond 13600k and 7700x you should be buying for gaming
I would still get intel
7950x/7900x and the 3d versions are worse than the 7800x3d for gaming
Actually
depends on your total budget tbh, like for the BEST youre looking at roughly 2.2k if you can bring forward, case , psu, storage and maybe cooler
And the 13900k loses to the 7800x3d in gaming by a laughably big margin
I would get 4090 and 13900k but that’s just personal preference
Seriously?
Is this going to be another ls720 conversation
No
7800x3d is far better than that lol
Yes.
The 13600k is already within 5% of a 13900k for gaming
dude
The 7800x3d is atleast 15% better than the 13900k in 95% of titles
I'm not mad, just annoyed
Lol
Yeah
It's annoying having the same repetitive conversations over and over like talking to a brick wall
for being like 200$ less its doing a pretty freaking good job
That’s u
Now
Wait is the 7800x3d less or
Fr?
7800x3d is way cheaper, like 380ish vs like 650
GYAT
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3hyH99/amd-ryzen-7-7800x3d-42-ghz-8-core-processor-100-100000910wof
sigh
Lmao
well thats not a fair comparison lol theyre not in the same class
Wdym
one is 900$ one is 1600$
This
The 4090 is $1500 minimum
Ok
The xtx is $830-930, more often around the $930 area
And beats the 4080 which is $1050-1100 on the cheaper end, more often 1100
Makes it even worse by comparison lol
I saw like 20 4090s for 1600 and then I think 10 4080s for msrp also not too long ago
Idk 4080 msrp
The 4080 should be a $950 card max
1200$ 💀
its crap, 7900xtx beats it for 250$ less
The 3080-3090 gap was around 15% max in gaming, and the price difference was $800
Now, the 4080 and 4090 have a what, 30% difference?
And a price difference of $300-450
It's laughable
I see
The 3090 is not in the same class as 4080/xtx
but is the 300 dollar difference worth it
It loses to the 4070 ti by a bit
the only 40 series card that makes sense at its current price is the 4090
The 4080 isn't worth it, period
wow
if you consider it to the competition (7900xtx except its actually a lil better), its a 550$ difference
The 4090 isn't worth it, but for people spending a lot on a pc it is the most sensible option
Aside from xtx
Xtx is the only gpu in 40/7000 series I would buy right now
4090 is better for workload
Aside from 7800xt, but thats not on shelves yet
Especially for blender
If 4070 prices drop it might be OK
4060 ti is a laughing stock, that's not even a question
not all, xtx is actually better in i belive its CAD felix was saying
4090 makes sense if you're doing workstation tasks like blender and gaming
especially the 16gb one
If you're just gaming, xtx pog
Ok I'm out
Lower perf than 4070 laptop
when the great gpu and cpu deals come out hit my line so i can purchase
Theyre random
i cancelled my cpu amazon order 1200k for 55% off
Your best bet for 13600k prices will be after 14th gen launch I'd imagine
what about black friday
I'd keep looking for newegg and microcenter bundles if you have Microcenter
although for gaming atm its a pretty bad choice either way
usually the newegg bundles are just meh anyway tbh
Yeah but sometimes they're decent.
Got my 12700k the week before 13th gen launched
😭
Like 13900k + Z690 force for 350$
rarely
yeah that was very good
I keeping eye on newegg bundles all the time lol they're usually similar to current market price or just little bit lower . But can catch some decent ones indeed
I remember I got 7700x + X670 + 32gb ram kit for 500$ as well
i brought my pc into micro center and they stole one of my ram sticks

i brought it in for diagnostic test came back and it was missing once i checked when home
bruh
As I always say Microcenter sux
@ornate condor YOU GOTTA HELP A BROTHER OUT next time you see this type of deal
wrd
shiiiiiiiiiii
theres just a bunch of gigabyte psu bundles with motherboards

horrendous

pls help us
*gigabyte hazard C4 pro
I don't think that issue still exist but still it's gigatrash
Newegg can have old stocks
Not bad but not something special
aw shucks
atleast i have access to a micro center
5600x3d mobo and ram for 300 is noice
Microcenter had good 13700k bundles
sadly it's like 2hours away from me
After gas and sales tax it becomes same price as other retailers
lemme check smth
i hate sales tax
but at the same time other retailers have sales tax too
My state don't have sales tax
https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4562430&isPLP=true hmm . That combo ain't that bad
lucky
Delaware gang
lucky
according to my calculations
wow im not that far
time to call the moving truck
Me with 4L v8 engine car
which is 20mpg
damn
Driving to MC not worth it
I'm stuck with newegg bundles
teleport there
800$ new 4070ti laughing
Should I buy the 250$ 6800 tho??
woah what
I think it's good price
oh
I’m not 100% but let me see
ask for benchmarks
Been collecting dust prolly cause it’s out of his system
Replacement fans are for like 30$ so even if it have clicky fans it's not a big deal
True
Only issue I have with it is thermal pads
Don’t get me wrong, chunky cooler n everything
Just idk how long he’s had it stored
You don't beed the pads untill it have real bad vram temps
Yeah compare it with new ones
YouTube
I could finance a 6950xt and get free starfield for 60$ a month
Only if it goes down to 529.99$ again tho
I ordered one for 530 but still not shipped
probably one of them september shipped items
You can get used 3080s for 400$ tho which is not bad deal . But again all of them are mined on
You can get used 6800xts for $325-350 and that's a better deal
I would buy used items from ebay instead of marketplace
At least ebay have some coverage
well now i journey to ebay
On fbm just use PayPal goods and services to pay
Or meet locally
Or r/hardwareswap is back up
I personally never shop from marketplace. Amazon warehouse and ebay looks more reliable to me
Warehouse have very easy returns
And bad gpu prices
where do i buy from amazon warehouse
Go to amazon product page and look for used and sold by amazon ones

Ebay bids are fun
You can won good stuff tho but it slips away nostly lol
400$ is best price I’ve seen
the bid does have 4 days left tho
Can be anything
up to vram and gpu chip itself
I won good bid yesterday
96 gb
holy
wow now theres motherboard monitor combos
considering getting the broken 6700 xt and then trying to repair it
Anything is repairable except gpu chip itself
Or some component did explode and damaged layers of board
anyone have any good prebuild websites?
Was planing on new build during the upcoming holidays, ( waiting on the rog matrix to come out) with the 1400's coming out soonish ( think next Aug or so) should I do the build or just wait?
I really wouldn’t buy a pre-built from a specific brand or company
I would opt for the best price to performance
Depends on the country
Idk what the rog matrix is but , a years time is a long time, if you have enough budget why not buy now?
https://rog.asus.com/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/rog-matrix/rog-matrix-rtx4090-p24g-gaming/
Just thinking hate to get a I9 13000 build around it then in about 6 months be a gen behind already
should my motherboard have wireless networking?
where would it be best to sell parts? What websites?
Impossible for 99% of people
If it was easy to fix, he wouldn’t be selling
Budget and country?
would it be better to get a motherboard with wireless networking included or just to get a cable. i dont have ethernet, and i use a router, so would a networking card or wireless networking motherboard be more viable?
800 us
7800x3d will likely beat the 14900 in gaming
At that budget pre builts aren't really an option, tbe cheapest you can really go for pre builts is upwards of 1k, but one minute
I'll try to fond smthn
Find*
Might be an open box build on wegg or smthn
New cpus should come out in about September, and that's a waste of money, it'll be just as good as an msrp 4090
If you want to use WiFi instead of ethernet then yes you should get one with it
alright thank you
https://www.newegg.com/asus-rog-strix-g10dk/p/3D5-000F-02KS1?Item=9SIA7ABJHD4988&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-9SIA7ABJHD4988-_-08292023 this is probably the best you'd get pre built, but one sec, lemme show you what you could do building yourself

Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6700, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
6700xt is some 30%+ better than 3060
And 12400f is better in gaming than 5700g
btw
if can afford it, should i go with ddr5?
and if i cant, and go with ddr4 instead would be alright?
Ddr5 is worth it on 13th gen
It's a 10-15% improvement at times
if i want to save, is ddr4 ok?
But it depends on the cpu you're going with
i could send you it
Sure
That cpu is ddr5 only.
i mean i have a 1660 super, psu, a case, and hd, was thinking about selling those and just buying a prebuilt was my plan. but i could sell everything else except the gpu and swap the gpus from the first prebuilt u sent? unless the prebuilt has a better gpu than 1660 super...
And ddr5 isn't super expensive anymore
yeah
It does
A 3060
But I would go for one of the custom builds I sent if you can diy
It's very worth it
Possibly you could keep some of your parts too
Like maybe hdd as extra storage, maybe psu and case
i mean the only thing is, i have a ppp made for my original build i had planned... used to be compatible on the website but it says its not anymore...
Pcp?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
thats my orignal
bought it used, so id need to sell it.
heres my setup tho
didnt buy off a website is what i mean..
Did you just buy it?
Like recently?
FINAL SUMMER BUILD - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 3060 12GB
alright
no i found a 6700 that was cheaper than all the 3060 ti
may of last year
which is how long ive been working on buying everything for the build
is that good or..>
Ohh alright
Ok, so would you rather sell it or reuse it
is it ok if i get rid of the fans
Yeah
i got three fans included with the case i already ordered
Ah alr
ill just move one from the front to the back
If its still a good gpu in current days, id say keep, but if its eh then maybe sell
if that makes sense
Id say it's getting to the point where it's entry level
So if you can I would replace it if it were my build
Aside from that, what have you already bought?
Psu, case and hdd?
Case, psu, gpu, hdd
Ok, so one min
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Gpu, is up to you
You can either keep the 1660 super, or sell it and go for something like 6650xt, 6700, etc
Could buy a 3060 ti or 6700xt used for like $250
Also if you don't need wifi on mobo you can go for b660 pro rs
got ethernet
Then b660 pro rs would be great for you
yeah
You could definitely save some on mobo with a620m pro rs wifi, but I assumed you were going for a blackout look
yeah
i just want a cheap motherboard tho that can support wifi, but that also have 2 slots of 16 gb of ram each
Then that mobo is a great choice and will be great for an upgrade in the future to an 8000 series x3d cpu
only problem it doesnt support 32 gb of ram
i wanna use all my ram im buying
it shows on pc part picker that it only supports one 16gb slot
is that wrong or..?
That's wrong yeah
is there any other viable sources that are better?
just in case i wanna check over my parts
im worried that they may have been incorrect too
Nah not really aside from official manufacturer page
Can you show me where you saw that?
im confused
it says it only supports 1 16 gb slot
but 4 memory slot
oh
ok nvm its good
sorry i was being stupid
now i can get a cheaper psu
lets go baby
thanks so much man you the goat
Ofc dude
just curious tho
it says to refer to the motherboard manual..?
oh
wait
nvm
it means as in the manual you prob get when it comes to you
i am so off man 😅
ok here she is
FINAL SUMMER BUILD - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6700
i think the cpu cooler comes with paste
Ye it does, the paste you selected is better but it won't really make a difference beyond a few degrees
Also spatula isn't needed at all
true
could i use something else to spread it out?
maybe
alright
i saw someone use a brush thing
that works
i think im gonna go now
total cost is now around 800 dollars
minus the case i just bought for 75 that came with three 140mm fans
Just the cooler
When you put the cooler on and mount it down it'll spread the paste
i also hear that fans shouldnt be right in front or on top of a cpu cooler
Just tighten the screws in an x pattern and gradually, not doing one at a time and going all the way
It depends
For your case, I would put two fans at the front of the case as intake
Back of the case as exhaust for one
yeah
thats what is was thinking
What case did you get?
yea lol
im gonna go now
thank you so much man
i appreiciate it so much
i just wanna already be able to buy everything and get off my crappy laptop
Happy to help my dude!
Especially with how nice you are, you'd be surprised how many people are asses lol
yeah i dont get how hard manners are
some people are just mean for no reason
but no you dont have to thank me
Word
your good man
anyways i was thinking of selling my laptop for extra money
im already $400/$950
and the laptop could resell for maybe 100-150
What's the specs?
Wait you said you gotta go, if you wanna dm me later about it you're more than welcome to
Prob could get $75+
i kinda wanna keep it tho
just in case for work and stuff
and its more mobile
what do you think?
If you'd need a laptop for school/work it'd be a good idea to keep it
i mean we get chromebooks from school
we can take them home incase of online schooling
but for out of school situations like for example me having to do boyscouts or etc
it would be good
then again a you could do it on a school computer, transfer it to a phone, and then project the phone on a larger screen
well look im gonna go now
catch you later man
1080 for $90?
Yes
Change the psu to this my guy. The one in that list is a literal bomb with no safeties
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/xLtKHx/apevia-prestige-600-w-80-gold-certified-atx-power-supply-atx-rp600w
Last thing you want is a cheap psu frying everything else because it wasn't made with any real redundancy in mind
Seconded, I didn't see that earlier
either that or the 75 dollar Thermaltake one
Don’t buy the ram
Suspicious seller
6 reviews on their page
aight
I’ll lyk if I find anything else for you though, just hold off for ram though
aight thank you
G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory vs. OLOy Blade 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL32 Memory vs. TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory vs. TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
Don’t mind the white teamgroup
There’s many things, but that g skill you had selected earlier has 10$ shipping
So if you were to buy the teamgroup, it’s cost the same as the g skill one you have on your list after the 10$ shipping, in my state atleast.
I’m no ram expert but from seeing what you’re doing, I don’t think you’re ram tuning and keeping it stock?
Don't buy CL36 in general
Porque (I’m not a ram expert)
BUYS CL36 DDR3
Lord bought a turtle
Ddr2
Just download the ram online
honestly probably will be faster then ddr3 cl36
@leaden mauve how fast would ddr3-10100MT/s CL36 be
meth
Below cl36 is gauranteed hynix
Which is better than Samsung
Ah
300$ aorus 6800
Not mined on
Or should I buy the 250$ mines on red devil 6800?
Depends on how well the miner took care of it
If they know the oc/uc settings they used, and the card looks clean and you can test it/get proof of it working, go for it
Okok, I’m gonna test it when I meet.
Was looking at cards on eBay with Danny was just curious
These were the ones that were $90
Wanna say mining or server cards of some sort
But just realized there’s no point in getting a spare card since I got other projects I need to prioritize
(1660+4500 for GF’s sister)
Yeah I've no clue about this
I dont trust it personally
There was multiple listing of the exact same card
Different photos and conditions
One of the listings had over 100 sold I think
Mostly positive reviews
I was just curious is all
If it works perfectly, that card will be LOUD af
Anyone recommend some ram for 7900x and B650E Taichi ?
Probably, it’s interesting none the less
Might be a good card if I ever do something for my brother, however I know he’d prefer a laptop
Cheapest 5600-6000mhz cl32 or below kit
Though that mobo is overpriced, and if you're gaming the 7800x3d is a lot better than the 7900x
Can someone explain pcle 4 and 5 to me
is there a version 5 now of it and what does it work for
m.2 ssd have nothing to do with this right
like m.2 is a way to insert ssd into motherboard is pcle the same thing?
Pcie is the interface which nvme ssds and gpus connect through, pcie 5.0 has higher bandwidth than 4, and 4 than 3, etc
As of right now there's not really a use for pcie 5.0 for gpus, as the bandwidth for 4.0 is already more than enough for a 4090
Isn’t 3.0 still more than enough for consumer gpus
Gen 5 ssds are fast, but the speed they have is pointless for gaming
Yes
Except for 6500xt, 6400, and 6600
Gen 4 ssds also
Because pcie lanes
Ah
interesting
Yeah, gen 3 ssds and gen 5 ssds compared side by side in gaming you won't see a difference 99% of the time
so m.2 2 TB ssd with a motherboard with pcle 4 capability will be fine a newer high end card and high end cpu
Afaik every motherboard on am5 and lga1700 has pcie 4.0 atleast
and should i even get ddr5 or stick with ddr4
r9 fury gpu, i5 7600k, 16 gb ddr4 s.skill ripper series ram,
What's the specs?
Mainly what power supply, ram, storage, and case
Those are the most likely parts to be able to reuse them
@heady vapor
Ohh alright
do you think i’d be able to upgrade
with my current build without problems
looking to add liquid cpu cooler, better cpu and Gpu
I'd say yeah, pcs good enough you can do it gradually instead of all at once
Awesome
Can you recommend me a cpu and cpu cooler and gpu that would be compatible and also I appreciate your help man
Ok so I'd say cpu mobo and ram I'd do at the same time with the 7600+a620m pro rs wifi+ 32gb ddr5
If you're fine with it, the cpu cooler you have is great
That would be a great cooler for a 7600/12600k, you'd just have to get a mounting bracket for it
If you really want an aio though, thermalright frozen notte 240 is what you'd want
It's cheap but good quality
The case isn't great, I would replace that later on though
I'd say order of upgrades should be gpu and possibly psu at the same time, then cpu mobo and ram, then case
Could add a better sdd too, m450 1tb is $28
Actually the psu you have is decent, I believe it's B tier which is fine for most gpus
I'd say overall depending on what you want to spend, something along these lines https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yhMvn6
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
Could go cheaper or more expensive too, just depends
Only things I'd reuse are cpu cooler depending on if you can get updated mounting hardware from scythe and what cpu you go with, and the psu and monitor, and the ssd but I'd get a new boot 1tb nvme
nvm
Can I buy this and use it to its full potential for a 6700 xt
I'd say actively bad price
Or for a good bit less you can get a same specced monitor
Yo is i5 7600k better or a i7 4790k
For what
And why lol
Do you already have a motherboard for either one
To answer your question tho 7600k is a little better depending on the scenario
But it doesn't have hyperthreading
For gaming
and overall good smooth fps
i have the 7600k on my current mobo but my lil bro offered the i7 4790k
but i’m assuming the i7 will have compatibility issues
Also he gave me 1070 ti so ima swap that in taking my r9 fury out
so will the i5 7600k bottleneck the 1070 ti?
Will the 13600k against a 13400 make that much of a difference for a server that is mainly just going to be used for modded minecraft or will it just be producing more heat due to the larger tdp?
I mean the multi core difference is noticeably, but for your use case it likely will not matter
13400 will output less heat due to lower power consumption but make sure you schedule it to use the pcores
so cores 0-5
or threads 0-11
you can make a 13600K more efficient than a 13400 if power draw is your main concern
the 13600K has significant advantages in both single and multicore
but the 13400 should be more than good enough
13600K offers undervolting and control over clock speeds so that's how it can be more power efficient
it is also likely (but not guaranteed) to be a better bin than 13400
so you could achieve 13400 performance at lower power target
or higher performance at same power target
you can also run faster memory with the 13600K but that also probably doesn't matter very much for the use case
So, for modded minecraft server 13400 is fine. Does faster memory help or is it more about capacity?
As for cpu choice, if we're talking no combo deal then I'll think the 13500 looks good since it's 14 total cores like 13600(k) but within $30ish of 13400.
The Evolv Shift 2 Air builds on the unique form factor of the original Evolv Shift and brings a compact chassis that packs plenty of power and is extremely space efficient with its small footprint. The highly breathable fabric side panels bring direct airflow to all hardware components. D-RGB Lig...
I really wanna get it but have no reason to
Since I have no platforms I could easily do on ITX
I think you speced a ddr4 board for the recommended build. I think c16 3200 was in the pcpartpicker
That would be fine too.
Ah mb, then yeah that's the ram you'd want
It used to be sub 200, and I think with black friday coming up it'll hit that mark again.
Is a 13500 more like a 13400 with more e cores or just a lower clocked and locked 13600k?
honestly what a 13600k is is just a 13400 with extra cores and higher clocks iirc
there's also a 13600, so I'm not sure
Sooo any monitor in micro center worth it? For a 6700 xt
Can you send us some options within your budget?
$100 - $200
Per monitor
Looking to pick up two
Same size / monitor but idk
Saved Part Lists
Setup if u want
Or $400 upgrade on pc part
I'm very confused on this monitors stand or if that even is a stand but this is the 1080p option I'd go for
https://www.microcenter.com/product/669481/hyperx-armada-245-full-hd-(1920-x-1080)-240hz-gaming-monitor
Tho you guys said monitor before
But im still looking
Tf is that stand
I'd go for this personally, $10 over https://www.microcenter.com/product/666008/msi-g271cqp-e2-27-2k-wqhd-(2560-x-1440)-170hz-curved-screen-monitor
And if you're buying multiple monitors you don't have to buy the same monitor
You can buy one of those for your main one and different ones for any after that
Yeah but I just like them matched
Link doesn't work btw
Wait nvm
Was my fault
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Oh ok
But u guys said something about monitor and getting the full potential
Those monitors are fine too, tbh if you would be willing I'd keep those two ad use them as two side monitors with the other one inbetween
Itd look symmetrical that way
And then save the other $200 for future upgrades on pc
Alright so one more monitor for me I guess and I will be needing a stand too
For it
I'd go for 32gb ram, could get the same kit in there or sell that one and get a 32gb kit
I'd get the 1440p monitor
A 6700xt likely won't push 240 fps in a lot of games anyways, unless you play a lot of cpu focused games
And imo 1440p is a nicer upgrade over 240hz
Alright hm so ram I guess
This one
Hmm I have not tried a curve one yet but idk I like it in one line
Ram isn't super necessary, 16gb is still fine for most games
G27q is $220 on newegg or Amazon I think
Well it’s a gaming / streaming / editing pc
Alright let’s fine me 32gb then
This is pretty good https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qcxRsY/lg-27gn800-b-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-27gn800-b
Cheapest 3600c18 kit will be fine
Well idk if my desk can fit 3 monitors
Hm
Mind the cable I need to fix that soon ordering some cable packs etc
What I did when I needed more desk room was get a drawer about as tall as my desk (a stack of drawers? My brain cannot think of the word) area but I understand not wanting to do that
Yeah but my pc is on top
I just needed the drawers anyways lol
Yeah I would keep pc on desk
Idk, up to you
Could get two of those LG monitors I linked, or one and keep either one or both of the monitors you have
I think I will do memory for now
Same brand / $55
Is it a good time to build a pc?
depends on budget
And resolution ^
meh not really
12-1300
do you care about asthetics?
is there anything specific you're looking for?
quick idea https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TYGjyg
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
Nice build bacca
agreed
Sorry was in school, and not really
opinions on that list then?
you could go a bit cheaper on cpu and gpu for a monitor upgrade
It’s fine, I don’t think it’s necessary
I can afford both, just don’t want to spend all of it at once
If you decide you want to, I'd do this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bsbkdH
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
Ok thank you
Definitely will consider
The monitor I mean, I think for now I’m just going to get a pc
Thank you for all your help
What % of money should you spend on your GPU when you want to play and develop games.
That's a difficult question
Actually not really tbh
But I wouldn't spend all the money on the GPU
If you're 3D modelling and rendering
You would probably need a decent amount of ram and a decent CPU as well
So pretty much same as any other pc
Balance out the parts based on your budget
And your needs
Alright, thank you.
depends on the budget
not really a set amount or percent
if you gave us a budget for the whole build and your country we could make you a list though
and some other info like personal preferneces, storage needs, etc
~2000$ (For the PC. I'll buy everything else separately.) USA(country), for an aesthetic, I'd opt for black, but if it comes at the cost of performance I'd rather not. Storage needs? I haven't thought about that, maybe 2 TB?
how intensive is the game dev you do?
and do you have a microcenter near you?
Simple 3D modeling, the programming isn't very intensive since I'm a beginner in terms of coding, and sadly, I don't have a microcenter
oh and would an amd gpu mess with any of the work you do?
ah 3d modeling that would matter
No it wouldn't; You've corrected me? I imagine you have more expertise with computers than I ever will
Okay, thank you very much.
would 64gb be used in your case?
Do you mean, will it fit in the case? Or is that enough for whatever I'm doing?
If it's the latter I believe that's more than enough lol.
It could matter a bit with 3d modeling potentially but I also don't really know your work loads, so I'd possibly wait for another opinion on that
I understand. I had an old computer that didn't even have a GPU, it ran blender decently, I imagine anything greater than 2 sticks of 8 GB will be sufficient.
How much is 64 relative to 32?
Id go with this, if AMD gpu won't be an issue and 64gb would be beneficial
Part List - Intel Core i7-13700K, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Fractal Design Pop XL Air ATX Full Tower
sorry forgot to link it lol
Okay, thank you.
@mossy venture what's your favorite keyboard?
I like the keychron k4, but a few factors go into choosing keyboard
I dont know much about keyboards aside from keychron is great, and that's not just from personal experience they're just one of the best and closest to custom you can get
I'd ask over in #peripherals-and-displays
Kbdfans keyboards are good
Akko, gmk or anything like that for keycaps are good, but if you don't want to spend 50$ for keycaps, just go a aliexpress bootleg keycaps
Okay, thank you.
Beautiful
No u
Made it worse somehow
ya it ain't a pc unless the whole back is a rats nest
ahahhahaha
That was my PC for a while
It's a case issue
Mid towers don't have much space for cables unfortunately
^
imagine mATX and ITX tho..
ngl an itx would be cool
just I want one to fit a 6950xt
In that case
You want minimum cable length
Would be best to have custom cables
And a modular psu
damn, i hope i can own an xtx one day
Most good itx cases can
Cooler master nr200(p)
Ssupd meshilicous/meshroom
Hyte revolt 3
Phahteks p200a
Corsair 2000d airflow
all fit the asrock gaming 6950
Ngl i might get an itx build
Though isn’t it hotter
Or is cooler cause of how little space
wait itx is harder to cool?
aw@man
well atleast it fits on the desk
and that’s it
i mean they’re cuter too but
Nr200p would need the top 2 fans to be intake for radiator, bottom as exhaust?
Well nr200p is kinda dumb because it's nr200 but with optional glass side panel but you'd wanna use the mesh so you can do side and bottom intake, top back exhaust
Radiator would have to be on the bottom?
You generally air cool entire nr200 since you can fit a dual tower cooler
Ssupd meshilicous superiority
Ah
Pa120 se doesn’t have clearance dadly
Sadly*
155mm for max in nr200p, if you wanted ram clearance for pa120se it’d be 159mm
Get lp ram
Or rather
Pick a nicer case lol
To me the NR200P is like a D31/D30 but less practical
Ssupd meshilicous, ssupd meshilicous
Smol but like, you want space to do stuff, nr200p don't have that
Meshilicious is meh-ilicious
I'll fight u
Ur on the larger side
And only available on ssupd site methinks
mATX is the perfect harmony of big and little
Nuh uh
Chill bro 😭
You can't keep talking to people like this LMAO

does it come in orange?
Is there an LTT version?
fractal terra
I love everything else about the G300A except the lack of cable room
Gigabyte was stupid and put the only two RGB and fan headers I get the furthest away from each other they could possibly be
Fr
I used to have to squeeze the back panel back on
It’s a pretty solid case for $50-$60
I got the more heavy cables nailed down
You can have a really good case
I’m gonna see what I can do with the daisy chain
But still suffer the same issues
As any other matx
I remember shoving all the cables into the PSU shroud area
Exactly what I did
hours of cable management
And it would still looks like a rat's nest from the back
I spent six hours trying to make it look semi okay…
💀
903 max better tbh
A lot uglier though
903 max and g300a would have similar performance, once adding a $12 pack of c12c's to the g300a
903 max is also $75
G300a is $50+ $12 for fans
At $75 there's better options
Wdym 903 max is ugly?
It’s pretty.
Also 75$ is the best rn, cheaper than a 360a and a 216.
Looks are subjective, I'm not a huge fan of it either personally
Focus 2 is $80
Or pop air
Part List - Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower
Basic black 903 is 65$..? 😭
Idk what point your trying to prove with price
The 903 max is perfect for 75$
And if you live near an mc, the 25$ off coupon works for it
Personally don't think it's worth that much since no psu shroud
Plus you pay shipping 👁️👁️
Nope 2 available for 80 incl shipping
Oh ik that, it’s 69.99 before shipping, just rgb is 79.99 before
I mean 3 c12c rgb fans are 15$ and deff better than the stock fractals and you get the black fractals too
And they're decent
Same with 903 base, but it comes with 3 140mm blacks.
You could move the back fan to the front, buy a 120mm pack or just one and throw it on the back. If you buy the pack, you can throw them on top
now thats v nice
true
Did the amd reference card originally come in the power color box?
Cause some guy is trying to make me believe that.
Amd board partners also make reference cards so yes
So yes or no..?
Oh wait patos right
Would one be better over the other and how vibrant are halo fans usually?
Yeah sorry phone being slow
This was the other one I was looking at
I’m throwing the towel with the six fan daisy chain
I’m gonna find a fan splitter
Or one of those super small fan hubs
I think the first one is a bit better
The guy telling you that is correct
are theese good https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4zkH99/thermalright-tl-s12-x3-476-cfm-120-mm-fans-3-pack-tl-s12-x3
I'd get these instead https://pcpartpicker.com/product/JmfnTW/thermalright-tl-c12c-6617-cfm-120-mm-fans-3-pack-tl-c12c-x3-d6
💀
processor type: 3
I wanted to see if I could fix it, then I realized it's a couple hundred miles from me
battery doesn't hold a charge, but does it work
look at the bottom bezel of this https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1050820655823598
it looks ttraumatizded
true
this is actually a pretty good deal imo
C12c have a full rgb option if you want that
that is just hot
sexy
wii u bundle
It's oos sadly
10/10 would buy
The white ones aren't
It's at least 300 miles away from me
wouldnt look good with a g300a would it
*regular wii
White ones are in
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/XYPQzy/thermalright-tl-c12c-s-6617-cfm-120-mm-fans-3-pack-tl-c12cw-s-x3-d6
Oh right
sad
Yeye
That's ntb
ntb=?
not too bad
They were $12 for a good while, but $18 for them is decent still
Not bad
Or not too bad
might get tohose
bed
Bull crap alert
what shop is that
Microcenter
4070 for $540 isn't that bad
especially if you want more vram compared to the 3080
although the 3080 is going for closer to $400 used
I'd do this, but idk if you're on a strict budget or not https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gp4P34
Part List - Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
I'd say 8.5/10
That psu is incredibly overkill
but it's only $10 more
wait what
The Thermaltake has a rebate
So it's $75 after it
Otherwise I'd get the $80 cxm or $90 gf3 a3 750w
6700xt, imo is a worthwhile step up from 6700 if it fits in your budget
it was using amazon pricing for some reason
prolly gonna make it a 6700 xt
Would you be willing to spend $40 more on monitor?
Could go for this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qcxRsY/lg-27gn800-b-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-27gn800-b
oh yeah
Which is a nice step up
im just trying to make it under 1000 without tax
im buying a desk but exclude that rn
Part List - GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
Could save a tiny bit with this lol https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Wfn9TW/thermalright-assassin-x-refined-se-argb-v2-6617-cfm-cpu-cooler-ax120r-se-v2-d6
Basically the same thing and same price just get whichever you want
