I'm currently running a 1070 and i5 8400 but I have trouble running some games like Rust and Tarkov among others. Is this because my CPU is lacking? AMD drivers can be better than Nvidia drivers in some cases, like at 1080p. The driver overhead is lower so you can run higher fps depending on your setup.

A lot of Nvidia features have AMD features that match very well these days too. ReLive is just as good as Shadowplay for example.

The drawback is that the 5700g is a much weaker CPU than the 5700X, or even the 5600. It's fine if you don't have a GPU and are using the iGPU while you wait for the GPU.

If you can get the 5700g for super cheap, cheaper than you can get a 5600, then that might be an ok deal.
