i just looked over at my afterburner app and it says 0% now. theyve been off for the last 30 something minutes. i was just checkin afterburner before i went to bed.

intel calculates tRC using tRP + tRAS, AMD just ignores tRAS and has you set tRC

so you can't run it as tight on intel because it's actually doing something

Hi, can anyone help me out here. Recently built a new computer as I decided it was time for an upgrade. I have a Ryzen 7 7700x with a Corsair h100x elite AIO cooler. I am worried about the idle temps & light load temps. They seem to fluctuate massively and pretty quickly. For example, idle temps are around 40/50 degrees celcius. And under light load, browsing etc. it can spike got anywhere between 65 - 70 deg Celsius. I have read online,; reddit, AMD forums etc. that this is completely normal and these newer CPU's run hot. I also contacted Corsair and they said the same. Am I right to be worried? Should I take any action? Thanks!

85 is well within safe/normal operating temperatures

the 4000x has a glass front panel, which reduces airflow significantly. swapping that to a mesh front panel may help. if your ambient is relatively high, all of your components will run a little warmer. adjusting your AIO fan curve may help a little as well. that said, 85 isn't anything to worry about

You can cut the trfc in half on b die. That'll bring you down to 175ns. Most b die can do 150ns, good bins I've seen as low as 120ns.

the worst b-die they can do is 3200 16-18

but 3000 is no longer available from like 2020

I've seen b die on the most cursed corsair memory kit. 2666

confirmed as b die both by version number and testing

at 1.2v
