If the die is trash it's not going to do that well no matter what platform you put it on, keep that in mind
Oh I know that much
Before I was stuck with a 5900x OCing ram
Which was kinda annoying with the FCLK
Can't believe you have a 2x4gb kit are you at least doing 2 kits?
But hey, quick stability testing
I’m just messing around with this until I get back my 4x8 Ballistix kit
Ohh ballistonks
I've seen it say "unknown" for manufacturer before on a cheap kit
interesting
^
What's the ballpark estimate for the budget? Like 500$ increments, what would be the estimate?
Usd? You can easily afford to go crazy lol
You can afford to buy a whole new 4080/4090 and do this
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rmmyrD
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600K, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
if its a bit above thats okay too
ooo
ty sm
It could look like this
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/T3gDVw
Part List - Intel Core i5-13600K, GeForce RTX 4080, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
Or if you could find a 4090 at MSRP or smth
hmm
Blender should care more about GPU
would all this still be doable with the 3080ti?
just wondering cause its been unopened lol
idrc for the 40series
but if it does matter then thats fine
You can just do that without 4080 but performance is just going to be 3080ti performance
Like it'll be fine but the budget can fit a new 4080
Even 4090
But if you'd rather save the 1500$, which I probably would, 3080ti works fine still
ahh kk
Spend it on more overkill CPU if you want, grab a 13900k and upgrade Mobo to z790 aorus elite ax perhaps
tysm for the help and stuff (:
is amd better still or?
Better for what?
like mobo/cpu wise
No
ahh kk
13600k nicer for gaming rn
hell yeah
Anyone have any clue why I’m not getting a signal from the iGPU? It’s a 10700K
Damn
NVFlash crashed middle of flashing a vBIOS
This 2080 is now bricked because of it
Okay thanks, I’m in the BIOS now
Yeah iGPU was disabled because the dGPU was in
Now I’m stuck on this
i want a pink pc case any recommendations
that’s decent but not what i was hoping for
i might just get a 4000d airflow in white and then spray paint it
any recommended white cases?
thank you
I did some editong on the list I sent the other day. Fyi I already have PSU and CPU.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JBmdPX
Part List - Intel Core i7-9700K, Radeon RX 6600, BitFenix Prodigy M 2022 MicroATX Mini Tower
PSU is from my current built that I'm upgrading the PSU on and so I'm gonna reuse it. The CPU is my brothers old one. I gave him my 7 3700x when I upgraded to a 9 5900x
For like the same price as the 6600 you picked there you could get a 6650 XT/6700/6700 XT
XFX 309 Ultra 6700 for $319?
Actually 308 ultra for $310. Faster boost and it's shorter
So amazons holding up my upgrade money for ransom on a pending return. In the meantime is a 7900xt not xtx cause stock worth 300$ more then a 6900xt? 600 for a 69 or 900 for a 79?
No
Not for 300
XTX is worthwhile but XT isn't quite there
Actually 600 for a 6900XT is better than both the new cards I think
^
New list
Part List - Intel Core i7-9700K, Radeon RX 6600, BitFenix Prodigy M 2022 MicroATX Mini Tower
Got rid of liquid cooler due to weight. And went a smaller lighter GPU for the same reason
I also switched to gen 3 NVMes
Actually...might keep liquid cooler...idk
6900xts are around 700 from what I've seen, I'd be surprised if there's some at 600
So i have recently bought parts and built my own pc. the problem is that it can only run about 40 fps on the lowest graphics settings on games and cannot stream/record. I want to be able to stream/record games and have high fps/graphics, 120 fps and such graphic quality. Here are the parts in my pc. What should get upgraded? And if i do upgrade parts can I sell the old parts on newegg?
Have you enabled xmp in bios?
You cannot sell the parts in newegg nor should anything need upgrading
idk what that is so ig no
I would check cpu Temps using hwinfo64
Xmp allows the ram to run at its rated speed, which is 3600mhz in this case
You're running it at jedec, which means it's running at 2133, 2333, or 2666 mhz
When turning the pc on, before it gets to windows lock screen, spam del, f4 and f11
One of them should bring you to bios
If not, f2 or f12
There's some others I think but one of those should do it
Then go to the overclocking tab, and set ram profile to xmp
where is hwinfo64 found?
You have to install it from Google
thanks for the help 👍
Np
I'd def enable xmp, if issue persists after that I'd imagine something is thermal throttling or you somehow have tons and tons of malware/viruses
is it worth to still cap fps just below the refresh rate of your monitor even if u can get plenty more frames above it? cause im gonna be using a 6700xt with a 1080p 144hz and im pretty sure it can go well beyond that
i have freesync
Eh, I cap my fps to 165 normally just because
It can cause stuttering if you don't in some games
ah ok
I'd also check that your monitor is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard port
thank you
Good point
Oh also, have you updated gpu drivers since you built the pc?
And w10 or w11
widows 10 updated to 11
Oh lastly, what slots is the ram in?
i think a few times
ram is in 2 and 4
I checked my cpu temp and this is what i got
tbh i wouldnt even know
Put your ear near the radiator
Listen for a humming
Also, sounds stupid, but are the fans spinning?
Lastly, if both of those are happening, remount the cooler. Meaning take the cooler off the cpu, clean off the thermal paste, and put new paste on and mount it again
You have to tighten the screws in an x pattern slowly, alternating and not tightening one fully at a time
As that causes uneven mounting pressure
will do!
Also, when you put new paste on, send a picture here and have someone check if it's enough
Just in case you should check the cpu voltage being given, motherboard might be giving more than needed creating unnecessary heat
i want to add that in the future, even though this isn't the issue in this case, if you're asking about xmp being on, you should also ask to see which slots the ram is in in the same breath
not even asus motherboards will overvolt cpus this intensely, and if it was the cpu would probably have died by now
just a cooler problem
Oh those temps are at idle?
Kinda skimmed the convo
interesting he mentioned the ram slots without being asked
maybe he's been asked before lol
well he didn't say whether it was idle or not
but even assuming this is gaming it'd have to be at like 1.7v to hit those temps lmao
Oh right lol
but yeah
those temps are possible under prime95 but
40 fps in gaming is definitely explained by thermal throttling
imagine a motherboard actually applying 1.7v auto lmao
i wonder if that theoretically would be grounds for a lawsuit
users having their cpus killed quickly by bad auto voltage settings
1.7v?
i imagine it would
imagine some overclocker trying to get their 1/100 binned 125sp 13900KS reimbursed by the company
imagine having to explain what that even means to the judge
LOL
Lol
Didn't think about it till after, but I did ask. Appreciate the correction
oh i didn't see that
I should've asked in the same sentence though, as they are important to eachother
if you ask people to get this area of hwinfo summary mode it knocks out both of those questions in one stone
ignore my cursed ddr4-3504 laptop
I need to explore hwinfo more, I've not used it much except to view cpu Temps and the other day when you and Felix were asking about voltages
if you open summary only mode you'll see this pretty fast
Good to know
Also what type of ram is 3504mhz
I'm assuming that's manually tuned, right?
3466 divider with 101.1mhz bclk oc
wanted 4.65ghz on cpu
i don't know why but my laptop can't do ddr4-3600 gear 1 stable anymore ever since switching the battery
it was stable on the old battery
so i figured if i have to go down to 3466 anyways i might as well make the most of it
this poor laptop has been through so much lol
Ah
Im in the process of building my first gaming pc i have all the componants listed and wanted a second opinion:)
Go for it
@stoic island i just sent you a message with everything
Part List - Intel Core i9-13900K, GeForce RTX 4090, Lian Li LANCOOL III ATX Mid Tower
WIP high end content creation / gaming PC
dont really have a budget, but also not trying to blow 10 grand
i think i have most things figured out
just working on finding an adaquate PSU
and probably add in some more bulk SSD storage
thoughts?
AX1600i xD
im thinking of doing a HX1200 plat with a custom cable kit
I mean the stock cables are pretty cool with inline capacitors
But that should work
Part List - Intel Core i9-13900K, GeForce RTX 4090, Lian Li V3000 PLUS ATX Full Tower
What about using the 2 empty m.2 slots for 2 4tb p3 or mp34?
the case has 4 2.5in drive mounts right here
plan was to fill that space with the sata drives, or else it would be wildly empty, lol
Fair
Part List - Intel Core i9-13900K, GeForce RTX 4090, Lian Li V3000 PLUS ATX Full Tower
Ngl that does kinda look like the perfect place to put a distro plate for a custom loop
Yea, but it also looks like a really nice place to show off a distro plate lol
i need to find a cable kit for the PSU
What's the difference between undervolting and overclocking a GPU? and, if im gonna cap my fps even though i can go well beyond my refresh rate, will undervolting be better? since overclocking will basically give me more fps but i wont see the results?
A double loop
Undervolting can help conserve power and reduce heat by reducing the voltage, therefore reducing total power draw
Overclocking is any time you make something perform beyond it's standard base spec
You can do both at the same time, in fact that's the ideal method of overclocking AMD cards right now
That depends, do you want max performance or for it to run cooler/lower power?
probably cooler since the performance ill get is good enough right now
Then undervolt first, so you can see how low you can get it and stay stable at default clocks. Then you can try to increase the core until it's unstable, then the memory.
ok ty
i can keep my cyberdeck lifted so the screen doesnt knock back now
even runs on a 65w battery
best gaming laptop under 600dollars ?
Did....did you build that?
lol no, i wish
Ok I see the watermark...maybe not
theres some custom fab work on that build
custom acrylic stuff
i dont have the skill or hardware to do that
you wanna see the builder i look up to and think, damn, i wish i could do that?
Yes
Hi I'm Mark Modder from the Philippines and Owner of DeClassified Systems. This is my passion, my Art and I love what i do.
My family and children is my inspiration. Thanks for watching my videos and i hope i have given you some ideas and inspiration on building your own Pc.
Happy Modding Cheers!
What exactly is saying that? If it's an antivirus you usually add an exception to the whitelist.
That'll be under Windows security settings, virus and threat protection, manage settings, exclusions at the bottom
look for dead laptops from asus and build a cyberdeck
i'm sure you can make one and revive it for 200-300
and still have a good gpu
the xbox 5
They'll never make a liquid cooled xbox but if they did you might be on to something
Like an addon GPU? That would be amazing
That would certainly blur the line between console and PC even more
they're basically proprietary pcs at that point
Especially the xbox, it runs windows apps for crap's sake
I believe Intel has a line of ITX PCs where you put in your own gpu
I forget if it's NUC or something else
It's nuc yep
They use what's called compute units
With soldered cpu
Compute unit is a pcie board plugged into the nuc itself
Basically mobo but connects with pcie
Sometimes soldered CPU but 12th/13th gen just uses desktop chips
Yeah so more or less a "console with replaceable gpu"
i have a nuc that i'm using rn
for certain models you have to choose between nvme or gpu
pick your cure
is this decent for cable management? any tips
Looks clean
If you get cable extensions you can comb your cables to make them look organized
really good. if you do want to fix anything, itd be these cables here unless the length doesnt allow for it to be fixed in anyway then thats fine
Like this
Bundling cables together goes a long way as well
If you connect cables with zip ties in a bundle it looks very swag
Also your cables look best when they look intentional instead of trying to hide them make them look like they are meant to be there
Intentional cables look best
Hi, I'm assembling parts for my new PC, what do you guys think of this combination so far?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ghRBpH
Is a chopstick safe to use as an anti-sag GPU bracket? will it catch on fire?
My game keeps freezing and the monitor keeps turning off when I play for a few minutes. Anybody know what to do
very clean
can you circle my image to what exactly I should zip tie
I haven't done the back properly yet but I will do that. thanks
Safe it’s fine. The flash point of wood is 300c lol
this is my first build ever btw any tips for new pc owners
ok no McAfee
does it come with PC by default
cuz I haven't installed it
I have windows 11
ok ty
Yes
Yeah so like
is it the gpu cables
I usually zip tie cables that leave the motherboard
anyway to tie it or leave it
fly aways?
is the ones in the background to the right of cpu
W
It’s actually a dnd monster but it looks a lot like the bloodsuckers very stylized lovecraftian art
yea its so cool
ahh I see
and regarding the cooler tubes
any fix
or do I leave as is
Uhhh
Mine are really rigid
So they go together
But you can zip tie them together and rotate the zip tie so that the vip block piece behind the tubes only the band shows
Yeah
Idk about the liquid freezer
Especially given how compliant the tubes are
Like your tubes look extremely compliant
Just don’t tighten too much and probably fine
Zip till it stops
And cut the tie off at the box
Is the cover for the tubes rotated or something?
also my magnetic dust filter ok the top is slightly raised bc of the screws
The braided part
how much ur pc cost cuz I want one
can I just fix that with flat screws
Yep LF2 tubes are extra thiccc to help fluid flow through that thiccc radiator
Yeah my screws on top are flat screws for fans
Right now it’s probably like 1400
um how could I tell?
But when I first got it it was like 2200
Just give the braided tube covers a little twist and see if they move
I want a color theme build
Like the cover has been slides to one side
Like right here it looks like a little bendy cover or something
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/IcyRed/saved/VBjt3C
how much would it cost to build a color theme build with these parts
2023 PC Build - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, Radeon RX 6700 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
it slides ever so slightly
This is the only thing I play right now lol
I would try to resolve the super duper wavy tube part unless it’s part of it I have never had a LF2
@shut rampart
im looking for a headset tbh my is just old and kinda broken
Not sure like you could use normal parts and paint them lol
also when I close the glass panel there's slight resistance from the cooler tubes sticking out is that normal
it's part of it I'm sure
What is the first game you gonna play?
probably mw2. didn't buy on ps5 bc i was waiting for pc. so now I can play w friends
instead of solo queueing overwatch comp lol
I use minimum settings because it likes to crash
apparently it's not as bad now
prob void warranty and too lazy
Also make sure you turn off on demand texture streaming
yep imm copy my homies settings
snd is always a good time
Sure dude for sure
Is there any difference from using the PCIE connector at the end of a daisy chain compared to the other PCIE connector closer to the main cable?
from a PSU
i currently plugged in the connector that’s closer to the psu and further away from the last connector
Depending on the GPU you might want to use all separate cables or it might be perfectly happy with the daisy chain
ok ty
Trying to install the nzxt kraken z73 rgb.
I have the usb coming out of the screen and into a usb 2 hub on the motherboard
I have the 3 fans daisey chained, the last one got the long in out cord and into a cord coming from the pump
Pump to sata connected
3 way pwm splitter connected
No rgb on the fans, they are spinning and I can change the display through cam.
There should be two cables for the fans
Add the file/folder it's detecting as a false positive to the exclusion list
Oh I thought you said you had false positives
Do you maybe mean false negative instead? Where you expect things to be found but aren't?
Ok? And what's the problem? 0 is good
just use Malwarebytes
they have their main anti malware scanner and an adware cleaner
Yep I have 3 of the cables into that y splitter for pwm. The rgb are daisey chained then the first fan plugs into the connector on the pump
Process of spray painting the cooler on the 1080 MSI armor
Apparently I cant send a picture, my plus sign is greyed out
You have to level up to be able to send photos
Just chat a bit and you'll earn exp
Ah got it, trying to go comment on random stuff without being annoying lol
Probably a dumb question is there a way to see how close you are to leveling up
Use #ranks-and-levels and /rank
Thanks
Only 13 more points needed
Guess you have to be higher than level 2 :/
The fun of just randonly chatting to upload a pic lol
Level 3
Sweet
Almost there
Yay I made it
So fans are connected to each other using the in out connections.
First fan has the in coming to the out connector that goes to the pump
Guys, For the price, what's better; 13600KF at $308, or 5950X at $360?
Depends on what you do
Since 13600k non f is 12$ more I'd get that
Igpu is worth 12$
If you're gaming, 13600k
thank you so much pato
np
np
Downgrading my i7 4790k to a pentium g3258 since I no longer use the pc anyways
lol why
It's sitting in a box anyways if I run into money issues I can still sell the 4790k for $100 + the pentium probably wouldn't sell
i would buy the pentium for 1$
4790k for 100usd? i dont think so
@empty pollen I'm not selling it anyways but going off Google $100 is good
good luck with that
old gen tend to be expensive, that doesn't mean it will sell at that price
and 4th gen is pretty old
Again I'm not selling it anyways just saying the pentium would never sell so better off have the i7 ready to sell if needed
the only way to sell that 4790 should be as a cheap package, like mobo+cpu+mem at like 130 or something (in my opinion)
alone... well who knows, maybe someone will need that chip 😛
oooga
no way 750 ti runs at 4k
Need to change it but I like to keep all social media with a different pic
I've never heard or have used cyberlink crap. Found this on my grandparents laptop and wasn't sure what it was. Anyone know if it's safe?
Hi
I have question
I have smart remote control fishing bait boatAnd fuldown in sea and damage the motherboard
And I contacted with Mr JOSHUA
He sent for me the new motherboard almost near from my motherboard
But before I buy I should know how to configuration this motherboard with my old remote
I’d just get rid of whatever isn’t being used
I’m pretty sure it’s safe to use but if you don’t need it just uninstall them
I think it came with my old Toshiba satellite laptops
yeah, that cyberlink suite sounds a lot of proprietary bloatware... like alienware bloatware
yes it is bloatware but some of it was useful 10 years ago
Still unlocked
Team T-FORCE DELTA RGB Black 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600MT/s CL18 Desktop Memory kit
is this good for ram
Depends on cpu
Powerdvd was for burning dvds btw. I had it in the past. (Yes it's legal to have a copy of your own stuff). -- indeed just delete all that crap at this point.👍
i7 12th gen
12700, 12700k or 12700kf
kf
Could probably do 3600 in gear 1, hopefully.
That ram is fine
@olive cypress dude that looks like a professional job what paint did you use?
And can I see it in build
Dis you really just forget the 12700f?
Racism
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/49r7Fg any improvements that could be made?
Part List - Intel Core i5-12600K, Radeon RX 6800 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower
Should I enable Smart Access Memory for my pc? is it basically just free fps?
it wont decrease performance anywhere right
I found a deal where the motherboard, psu, and case are 75$.
How do I check if the mb and psu work?
Yeah enable it. It's free perf
ok ty
any recommendation on a white pc case that i can put msi p360 AIO on top?
so far i have these in mind
The Eclipse G360A builds on the exceptional value of the P360A chassis and sets the bar even higher with more fan locations and 360 radiator support to meet next generation hardware cooling demand. The metal front panel features Phanteks' Ultra-fine Performance Mesh design that combines high airf...
i want to say that both are valid choices performance-wise
so you can just choose subjectively based on looks
objectively the g360a is going to be the better price-performance there
but if you end up really liking how the h7 flow looks it's not a bad choice
Assuming you don't have that gpu cuz it has no price so if you do that's fine just pop that into this build and vice versa (if you want wifi you should probably grab the nzxt z690 n5 also you can't overclock on non z series boards so keep that in mind too i also put 2 ram kits in there, one with rgb one without, pick one)
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nXGLXy
Part List - Intel Core i5-12600K, Radeon RX 6800 XT, Phanteks Eclipse P400A ATX Mid Tower
If you can't delete them you probably don't have admin permissions
how
You're not an administrator?
no
So what happens when you click on one of the files?
now its open it was show error
Okay navigate to that directory manually
Sounds like they where already deleted
idk
I used some high temp resistant spray paint, I covered with tape the parts that already were black cuz the two colours aren't exactly the same and so i wanted to keep them separate to get a better look
I then used a toothpick w some normal black paint to cover the imperfections
Unfortunately I can't complete the build since I'm still finishing the case
Yes, I'm building it by myself
Use the msi.com one
Not the afterburner.com one
The latter is a virus
thx :)
where
Google msi afterburner
Pick the msi.com one
There's two links at the top
Pick the msi.com one
It's on msi website

I just built a custom gaming computer. Now I’m trying to install windows 11. With no success
Getting an error
This pc can’t run windows 11
It may be that either:
- Your hardware is not compatible for Windows 11
- You need to update the BIOS on your motherboard to support Windows 11
How do I send you the list via PCPartPicker
I’m using MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard and AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - Ryzen 9 5000 Series Vermeer (Zen 3) 12-Core 3.7 GHz Socket AM4 105W Desktop Processor - 100-100000061WOF
How do you do the BIOS update
I just built my PC with a Rx 6700 xt in it and the temps are hot on idle, I wanna replace the thermal pads on the vram but I was wondering. Do the vram even touch the heatsink or is there a 1mm gap between them?
Replace it with thermal paste*
Yes
They're 140 idle and 195 on not even heavy use, 80% usage
Ik but does the vram touch the heatsink pipes? Cuz people are saying it needs 2mm thermal pads
If it touches, I'm gonna put thermal paste instead of pads
I have millions of thermal pastes in my storage lmao
theoretically, if you sandwich a piece of copper inside of thermal compound that’s thick enough to make contact between the chip and the heat sink, it’ll cool the chip (don’t try this though lmao)
is that in Fahrenheit?
bruh
typically the case on a fresh install of Windows with my 2080 Super. so that makes sense
it would make better sense if it’s a used card too
no? I was thinking that because of old paste
Yes
I just wanna know the exact distance between the vram and heatsink
I might copper mod it
I've tried and wasn't surprised
Since my CPU is running 100 f on load
And 90 idle
I'm not firmiliar with C
I said my CPU is 90f idle
I'm talking about my gpu
I'm asking if anyone knows the distance between the vram and heatsink that's all lmao
I brang it up to show that the base temp in my PC is low
Oh oops
I can't rn I'm not home
But I tried max speed
I know but I didn't come here without spending hours trying different things trust me plus money isn't a problem that's why I'm jumping to replacing the thermal pads
It's ASRock
Searching online for solution and people who had the same problem changing settings, different loads
Why not copper mod it tho?
Not worth what money is not a problem for me
then you should sell your gpu and get a 7900xtx or something lol
You think so?
Okay in that case money would be a problem lmao
if you want quitter gpu perf, undervolt it
and or less heat
honestly i wouldnt ever do it
ehh
just a waste of time for not much returned
What about my 660
h7 isn't very good
g360a or hyte y60 are good cases
h7 flow was the one you showed earlier, so why didn't you get the flow?
Or just don’t get a case
My pc is suck what did I do wrong
Just hold it
It will boot
Mine does that
Just wait
129.99 vs 69.99
It might tell you to connect a drive tho
Waited 5 mins…
well the half price means half good too
way out if 70$ price range, for that price, the fractal focus 2 is meta
Reset pc
Same thing
but ye fractal focus 2
well then it's got no boot device detected
Pull power, drain it, unplug and replug 24pin @shut rampart
And check drives
It happens to me
try checking whether or not are your drives correctly connected
It should it has a m.2 on it
and it was working fine yesterday
Use a different m.2 slot
Try this then
Yha I’m pulling the power rn
Check drives tho
fractal focus 2 doesnt support 360aio on top
That’s probably it
Why so big lol
well then do whatever you want i guess, it's your pc kek
That’s massive
well 360mm aio is good to have
I want a smaller case, atx is too big
especially with a hot cpu
Maybe mini atx
there's not really much choice for 70 to be frank
if you really insist on top aio mounting
Not for a massive aio
yeah
You might need to spend more
but small pc is not always what everyone wants anyway lol
If you insist on a 360mm
Yeah
7950x is a pretty hot chip so 360 basically obligatory
Is an i7 12700k super hot
Cuz I have a 240mm
nah
Ok it fix itself by pulling the power…
What did power has to do with it not working
Sorry I have a 280
sometimes it can have loose connection
Meant 280
lol
I need a fan controller tho cuz I did bad research and my mobo only has 4 fan connectors and I need 5
I could buy a y splitter but id rather just get a controller
@elfin flame I’m in the BIOS screen…. What do I do next?
Boot pc
Plug in drives
It’s a PC but I also have a laptop
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B550-TOMAHAWK/support
Download the latest version of the BIOS, extract onto your USB drive, and then come back when you're done with downloading and moving to USB
Powered by AMD Ryzen AM4 processors, the MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK inspired by the military armor design, tuned for better performance by Core boost, DDR4 Boost, Lightning M.2 with M.2 Shied
Ok
now it looks like usb ports are not powering my devices, b/c it keep on shuting down and turning back on
:/
im starting to suspect it's psu issue
Lmao
you think so? it happen to my old parts but some how it fix itself but now it looks the same
Does anyone know where I can get a new 3.5" HDD drive cage for my gt-501?
GAHHHH work just lost power and now my laptop is being finicky and borderlands keeps rebooting to the main menu
Mhmm
Asus tuff gt501, black edition
👍
Thanks
@elfin flame I’ve got windows setup now. But I’m unable to connect the PC ago the internet
Type into the command prompt
OOBE\BYPASSNRO
Anyone have any clue why my PC just randomly restarts?
BRUH
I wonder what could’ve made it unstable
That specific error often occurs when you have bad memory or storage, or a program is badly misbehaving
Yeah was about to say, that's a cpu or ram error
I just ran sfc /scannow and apparently it found corrupted files
Hopefully it’ll be fine
I'd be looking at your storage drive then
Crystal disk info time
Bad memory can also corrupt the system
Nope, Asus does not sell drive bays seperate
Brand new drive looks like
No XMP on this ram
Bios is up to date
Running JEDEC ram temporarily just to get this system running
3200CL22
Run a memory test and try another storage drive to boot off if you have one
O11 clone with different tooling
PSU vents
3 of them?
Air intake or exhaust for PSU and HDD drive bays
Especially if you have a reservoir at the side fan mounts
any keyboard I can buy with wrist memory form
It kinda looks like they have a radiator there but it's hard to tell
I don't think so
Yeah I don't think there's enough room for one, so what purpose do those fans have?
Actually it can
And idk water cooling wise
But if basic fans, it can provide airflow for PSU and HDD/SSDs
Yeah I saw
Meant for a dual loop, makes more sense ig
Maybe if you're running a threadripper and 4090 combo?
But yeah, threadripper, 4090, run top, bottom, and rear radiator with a 240mm reservoir/pump combo on the side
It doesn't say you can do bottom rad oddly enough
And a 140mm combo on the rear
I don't see why not?
It's probably because of the GPU bracket they what you to use
Just don't use the bracket and then you can
Cause looking at the bottom, it does appear to have fan screw slots at the bottom
Without the 3 side fans you should
Just put a reservoir where the side fans are and you're golden
I think you'd need a slim rad and fans on the bottom
Nah, should be fine
Just multiple reservoir/pumps combos and your good
Lol
But in all seriousness, it should theoretically fit with a single 240mm maybe even a 360mm reservoir/pump
Seems like a very interesting case overall
Mhmm
I have the 501 rn
And the hardest thing is I want to expand on my liquid cooling, but I don't have room for a reservoir w/o getting rid of fans
This looks like it takes the same reservoir as the od11
You can mount a res to the fans, or is there not enough room?
The distro plate? Yes that looks like it's intentionally done that way
Ahhh
Maybe
I use Alphacool so I'll have to see what they offer
And see how much shipping costs....
I know they have brackets for that
I swear imma move to Germany one day
They also have 120 only for more space constrained cases
Yeah
I thought about getting a 140mm pump/reservoir combo and putting it where my rear fan is
But idk how much tubing I need, how many of the adapters I need, etc
General rule of tubing is buy extra. When you think you have enough, buy more.
Especially if you do hard tube
Soft isn't so bad but a bad cut that's a couple degrees off can ruin a whole section
They have the quick disconnect so all I need to do is cut off small amounts at once
Like 1/4" at a time. Maybe even 1/8"
Hay can someone tell me if this is a good build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
wrong link pal
Oh
must be a link like this
MP33 is cheaper but otherwise that looks good https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Brvqqs/team-mp33-512-gb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-tm8fp6512g0c101
Alright thanks
Oh and you'd probably want the regular 5600 instead of the 5600g, they removed some cache to add the iGPU
i would do something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4Lvjk9
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6600, BitFenix Nova Mesh SE ATX Mid Tower
Another option, minor edits
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6600, BitFenix Nova Mesh SE ATX Mid Tower
yeah that psu is cheaper than my build
I saw no reason to change the BM2, it's a tier C so good enough for low/mid end
yeah i have the bad habit to cut corners on everything but the psu
I wouldn't call that a bad habit per se
:(\
yes, no need to get plat rated power supplies when bronze works fine! especially for 30 and 40 series cards
Wooosh
that seems a bit overkill, no?
Ryzen 9 5900x, 3080rtx, water cooled cpu/GPU, 8 gen 4 NVMes, 32GB ram, lots of RGB...
ah
EIGHT?
wait what
8x1TB gen 4 nvmes
whyy
Why not
why not just get more high storage nvmes
If you have the space
Why though
Easier on the paycheck
2tb s70 blade is $180
oh
My question is this.
And I waited a while before I water cooled my 3080
How do you even have a Mobo that supports 8 M.2s?!
Give me a sec
Like I get the logic so yeah but I am very confused on your Mobo.
The most I've seen is 5, and that on a $2000 Mobo.
why
Oh, so you have that + the 4 on your Mobo?
is ethernet not good?
What you mean Ethernet
I have two of them
Thought these could only be used for raid use.
You put 4 NVMes in each and they can be formatted separately
or just
and so I have room for 2 more on my board
use sata drives
To slow.
oh
I have 4 M.2s currently and man is it so much easier to travel with than SSDs.
Speed aside, as a nomad that's big incentive for me to go M.2 vs big chunky SSDs.
Is that a eisbaer cooler?
Eisbaer and Eiswolf
Ahh I see.
Mhmm, if your willing to, TT has a AIO that cools ram and CPU.
Not sure how it performs though.
Yeah, but you need THEIR ram
Ik.
Alphacool has ram heatsinks that can replace the heatsink on ANY ram
Oh really?
So I could keep my Corsair rams and just swap out the heatsinks
I see, didn't know that existed.
The alphacool coolers also have quick disconnect connectors to connect to other radiators as well. All without voiding warrenty
Gotcha.
It's featured in PC Builder Simulator 2 if you wanna check it out
I was debating if I should get the Eisbaer Pro or LT720 this morning.
Decided to buy the LT720.
Was a bit cheaper so it fit my budget.
It even comes with instructions on how to connect the CPU with the GPU so they're running in series, all in the box
Ryzen 9 5900x at 4.7ghz, below 70°C under load
4.7 all core?
Asus ROG Strix OC Gaming 3080 RTX 10GB below 75°C as well
Nice, that's around 300mhz OC isn't it?
More like 1GHz I think
I am pairing the LT720 in P12 push/pull for the 13900k I will be ordering in about a week.
I did push/pull for aesthetics mostly, xD I wanted that bright vibrant color in my case.
I have a crucial p5 and can't find the driver for windows 7? Is it possible to install windows 7 on crucial p5?
It's a 12core/24thread CPU
I'm avoiding Intel CPUs due to the fact that anything above i5 don't really have the advertised cores. They're all hyper threaded cores
Should be, but why bother?
???
Maybe they like w7 UI?
How does that matter
They still give performance
E cores give amazing multi core perf boost
Cause rather than having 12 physical cores, you have 8 core with 4 being hyper threaded
I see. I got the 13900K since I do a lot of rendering in apps which uses more CPU then GPU.
I'd rather have 12 core, 24 threads vs "12" cores 18 threads
Performance is performance
Just because they're not hyperthreaded doesn't mean the performance of the cpu suddenly drops
The 13600k with less threads has better multi core perf than the 7700x iirc
Wait actually that's a lie, it has more threads I think
Still, point stands
Just because it has cores without hyperthreading doesn't suddenly mean the performance is invalid
Ok, so it's 12/20 for i7
Also, comparing a 13th gen CPU to a 5th gen cpu doesn't seem fair to me...
Ok?
You have 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000, 7000
How is that not fair???
7000 is 5th gen
7000 is 7000 series or am5
That's like comparing a car company that's brand new to a car company that's been doing it for 200 years
Ik
HOW?
It's still the 5th gen Ryzen...
Has, but not RYZEN
My dude
And Intel had CPUs before the core series
Okay guys don't laugh at me.... First SOLO BUILD.... Usually I have a buddy that picks out my components... Trying to build a solid streaming gamer.... am I close with this.... https://newegg.io/a8206e83 TIA
Imma just go...
Even if that were a valid point, it doesn't change performance
Comparing mobile CPUs to desktop....yeah
I get it
Let's compare a pistol to a rocket launcher....
When my internet decides to work I'll take a look
What I dont understand
Is how you're defending a product you're admiting is worse, especially when it costs more overall, by saying it's unfair
Neither company cares about us
What I dont understand is why Intel doesn't just make an actual 12 core cpu
Why sell a CPU that only has 8 physical cores as a 12?
MMMM
Just call it a 8core
But if they're not physically on the die...does it really
E cores are physical cores
They openly advertise that the e cores have worse performance
It's not like they're hiding it
E cores are four cores that take up the space of one p core
And those four e cores together have better efficiency and performance than a single p core
It was someone on the IBP website
Well I was explained to it as the way I thought by someone on the iBuyPower website
Mhmm
One of the actual builders
That's fair
Look at me lmao
I've built 5 PCs...
Doesn't mean I understand TFLOPs and PFLOPS and cuda cores
Although I saw an I9 on sale today when looking... 12th Gen vs 13th Gen I7... and THANKS!!!
ibp builders not knowing what a core is explains some things about their build quality
13700K > 12900K/KS in every way
only consider 12900K/KS if ~$100 cheaper
So then my original choice is best.... Well, that's one.... now if the rest of my build matches up.....
Dats NACHO CHEESE!!!!
ok thanks
Don't think so... PDX....
Yeah!!!!
I guess my question would be to you that are knowledgeable.... Would you change anything? To possibly save some cash??? Or just a better mesh than what I have listed..... https://newegg.io/a8206e83
no problemo
Did I mention first SOLO.....
