alright I got a question, I got a GPU and on the pcie card, the part actually inserted into the mobo one of the metal lines that run down the card was halfway scraped off, it's only just the tip of one of them but I haven't put it in my system yet but anyone know if it's broken if this happens?

It's 100% fine, it's normal wear and tear. My GPU has 4 of the contacts half broken from frequent inserting/removal. Even if it's bad enough to cause bad contact it's not an issue except on certain power pins (the ones closest to the back of the case). If you have enough of them damaged in some spots it'll run the GPU at functionally x8 mode which is still more than enough for a modern GPU.

Guys I had my cooler placed like this with the fans facing down and the pump hose facing down sorta looking towards the front panel a little and the hoses coming off the radiator same thing facing towards the front panel side it wasn’t always installed like this changed it long ago to that orientation I wonder if i had choked the pump before this orientation cuz it started making noises at 100 or so and wasn’t cooling enough I think on desktop nothing open it was be around 40 then spike to 50 right away stay there for a while during gaming would be around 80 or lower depending on the game it was cooling a 5950x

I officially have no idea what's going on with my pc. It's still crashing when I try to launch some games sometimes. It runs so incredibly slow that for example rn I'm trying to download a games and my mouse when I move it across my screen it doesn't move right away. But it like slowly slides across the screen. I'm using only 30%CPU, 41%Ram, 16%Disc, 26%Network, and 5% GPU. It been running this way ever since I took the pc apart to clean the dust out. Then I found out my hard drive was bad and that was causing my pc to crash hard so I removed that. Then with some help i updated my bios and everything which allowed me to put my ram at its correct speed. After all of that I thought I would be running just fine because I was running just fine before I took my pc apart to clean. Ik I put everything back together right because I built my pc and I would like to think Ik what I'm doing when it comes to that. But now I'm just stuck and don't know what to do.

Like is it the cpu? The Temps look fine so I don't think it's overheating or having any temp problems.

Check all those out that Rommy suggested. They should all be good. If you can.. try to find one that is 16awg. That'll be better than 18awg, but you should be fine with either.

You only need to get a kit with 1 EATX 8-pin/1 EATX 24-pin/1 PCIe 8-pin.

A lot of time the EATX will be labeled as 4+4 and the PCIe will be labeled as 6+2

for sure. they are generally rated to run up to 200 leds at 20% brightness before running into issues so 3 fans and a bracket will have no issues.

😛 I use SignalRGB atm since I'm part of helping them add new devices and sadly past 40 LEDs on 1 header is where their support stops so things start to get wonky. It's doable, but so their software is "stable" they hard cap.

It's still in beta, so I imagine we'll get it figured out.
