Hey y'all I need help with a little situation.

So last night I got my new rma psu from coolermaster and I plugged everything in and everything looked fine.

But today I realized I didn't attach my wifi antenna onto my wifi card and I'm still connected to wifi.

Is this a thing? I have never had this happen before usually if I didn't have my antenna I wouldn't be able to connect to the wifi.

WTF.

And now I did a speed test it's giving me the advertised spectrum speeds that I am supposed to get.

Before when I had the antenna on it was limiting me to around 30mbp but now it's the 300mbps I have.

It's perfectly normal, antennas are to stabilise the signal better and receive more easily, you may see a drop in upload speed but it is all normal
I have tried that, got same speeds but inconsistent and lower upload speed than usual

If you don't know those antennas just have a thin copper wire inside them so they can catch more "waves" but for upload it helps a lot using those antennas

Or maybe it's because your pc is functioning as a "router" sending the data to your house modem (or phone) and the waves are short and they struggle to get to the home router

My usual speed are 85mbps ↓ and 21mbps ↑ but without antennas upload goes to 7mbps

But I guess that is not a problem if you're like 2m away from the home router

(my pc is about 5m away and with 2 walls + desk between)
