While Right Analog Stick is Pitch and Yaw

I'm used to Throttle being on the Bumpers from E:D

With Pitch and Roll being on Left Analog, and Vertical Thrust and Yaw on Right Analog Stick (Yes, I use Vertical Thrust on up/down Right Analog Stick)

Honestly, pulleys are only good if your doing a Quest or Quest 2. It gets rough on cables.

So, an easily replaceable cable like a Quest or Quest 2 is more ideal for a pulley setup

For superb tracking, 3x total base stations in a triangle is best but 2x is just fine

I'd also recommend a Stock and a set of Kiwi Straps so you don't accidentally throw your Touch controllers

The stock will also help with being more accurate.

And Contractors actually has a setup method for Gunstocks too

If you want a more Arcade experience with a VR shooter, then get Population One. It's a Battle Royale, but it also has a lot of aim smoothing to reduce reliance on Stocks.

i havent tried pulleys myself because my ceiling wouldnt work with them, but a lot of people are fond of them and say its the closest to wireless you can get without actually going wireless (index doesnt even offer wireless yet)

as for boneworks, that game can get really fast paced so i do recommend getting used to vr movement before jumping in because youll wanna mainly focus on the gunplay instead of not getting sick haha

beat saber is about as simple as VR controls can get, swing sword hit block

pavlov movement sucks, its based on where youre pointing the controller not the way you are looking, plus the spectator controls are addicting to use but not the best in terms of motion sickness so i end up feeling sick after awhile lol

superhot has you standing in one place the entire time which can be nice too

vrchat is a dumpster fire :)

That's a common bug, possible fixes are to set physx to medium in game and turn off threaded optimization in the nvidia control panel 3D settings. You also might need to repair your Visual C++ packages. Also disable DSR and run at your native resolution, or if you don't have it enabled try turning it on and running in 4k DSR. If you get frame drops a lot, disable Ambient Occlusion.

GTA V singleplayer? good fun, interesting story, lots of different things to do and try out.

GTA Online? total hellscape. if its not for the level 500 people who are board flying around on hover bikes that shoot rockets when you're trying to make some money doing missions, its the cheaters/hackers that will spawn in front of you with a tank to kill you for the hell of it. unless you're playing on a empty public server, you cant really progress, and anyone who already has stuff, got it really early when cheating was even more rampant and people would drop millions and millions of in game money for anyone to pick up.

also the controls are really stupid for PC

the multiplayer economy is screwed, everything is hilariously expensive, and they haven't made it any easier for a new player to make money faster.

only reason why they built it so its impossible to start out making very little money, trying to buy just basic stuff that costs $100's of thousands if not millions of in game money

is they sell you in game money for real money.

you can buy "shark cards" that have some amount of in game money in them, like say 1.25 million dollars, which is $20 USD. and that can almost buy you one of the better normal cars in the game, or about 1/3 of one of the OP vehicles

its straight up pay to win in a $60 game

that is full of people who are either actively cheating, or cheated/were given cheated money early on.

so i got Beat Saber for PC and played it on my laptop which is a i7-10750H, 8GB RAM, and a GTX 1050 Ti which ran fine only issue i had was my laptop overheated from it within an hour but then i tried it on my desktop and it would lag a ton and would randomly freeze which my desktop is a i5-9400F, 32GB RAM, and a RTX 2080 super any idea why it would run worse on my desktop? I even ran it off an SSD on my desktop and on my laptop it was running off a HDD.

do you have issues with non vr games? are you using a usb 3 port? in the oculus software make sure there are no warnings. if you are using the gpu usb c port try using the mobo usb c port

I’ve tried both USB-C ports the one on my motherboard and the one on my GPU and I only have issues on intensive games like Ark and COD

I’ve also tried setting the game priority to high and making it use 4 of my 6 cores I’ve also done a bunch of other stuff such as setting my SSD to not hibernate

I’m currently trying to reinstall Oculus software and Beat Saber to see if that’ll help too

My drivers are also up to date

if you think it might be the connection lagging you can try setting "OVRServer_x64.exe" to a higher priority I believe that is the process that handles the Link connection and has worked for some people before

there is also the possibility of it being a oculus problem. after one of their recent updates users are seeing the tested connection to Link halved or even worse than normal

If something is bugging usually for me unplugging the cable on both end and then reconnecting on pc side then oculus side it works, but best to contact oculus if something is wrong with the cable

I'm trying to use a controller on pc for Apex Legends, but there seems to be a relatively big deadzone on both sticks that I can't get rid of. The controller works just fine in rocket league, but i just can't get it working right in steam games. When using an online tester, the sticks showed no deadzone, so I know its not just the controller.

but in 99% of cases (and especially for larger games) it will work

oculus has had the same controller layout since their original controllers and it has since become the standard across vr

For local streaming on airlink or virtual desk top it’s the router more than your isp connection. 5ghz WiFi connection is minimum recommended. You can have 20mbps internet but if you have a decent router and are close to it, it will be good experience

i used the cv1 like twice, i remember it being very light however the screen was ancient compared to todays standards and even though it was very light, the weight distribution made it feel front heavy

Quest 2 is almost unplayable without replacing the straps

I can play for about thirty minutes before it annoys me

I was able to play 3 hour with it fine

Have to find the perfect position xD

and you wont be able to feel it in about 30 seconds

i finally found a real fix for hdr in outriders that i wish i thought of earlier so Im finally gonna give it a try. Id been avoiding playing it until they patched it cuz it looked like trash, but excited to finally give it a go
