the og psvr blew their expectations

so if this one has moderate upgrades, it will do well

it already looks like they are switching to more traditional inside out tracking instead of the dumb light ball thing on last gen

that already should make it 10x better assuming it works correctly

and proper vr controllers in general instead of the ps3-era ps move controllers that were not designed with VR or ergonomics in mind

#

furthermore the current PSVR already does 120hz, so if they keep that aspect but bump the resolution up and add proper headphones, it has the potential to be a great product

#

and a true contender to oculus

because as it is, just get the quest 2 no questions asked

I have an issue with a game having periodic problems when I unfocus the game and refocus (following alt tab)
Is there any way to find why I'm having this issue?
I've tried a bunch of stuff, but im trying to find the root see if its because something else is interfering.

Dark Souls 3 Bug
Freezing bug that mostly happens when I either open the game or when I alt tab back into the game.
Happens both on Fullscreen or on Windowed Mode.
I have tried reverting to old drivers and tried changing graphic settings, to no avail.
Reproducibility Rate: 9/10 times on game opening and pretty reliable on alt tabbing mid session.

It might be easiest, but it sure as hell isn't economical, nor is it good. You're getting a crappy PSU, and a crappy motherboard 9 times out of 10. So unless you go with a boutique prebuilt company, you are gonna eventually have it crap out on you.

You'd have to upgrade the SSD and RAM, but this would be a killer laptop for AutoCAD and gaming.

But, having 6c12t of raw muscle and a GTX 1650Ti all at 1080p will be pretty good.

Index is still the best PCVR headset, the LCD still handles dark levels really well, enough to make The Forest not look like a bunch of grey

Build quality is actually very high. I accidentally did the drop test for mine once or twice and it came out fine. Most things that would be broken are magnetic so they come off rather than breaking on impact. Tracking also doesn’t suffer because the cameras are shielded by the plastic thing on the front. As for the Knuckles, I’ve punched holes through drywall and nearly destroyed tables with them and never gotten more than some tracking errors, which fixed themselves in a short amount of time.

I’ve got a 3070 too but when I played HL:A on my 5700 XT it did mostly fine (more demanding areas got significant frame drops but most of the game was alright)

I personally thought Boneworks was more fun because of how you interact with the environments but considering how simple some stuff in HL:A is and how complicated other things are, it’s remarkable how fun it is.

Finally decided to upgrade from a USB 2.0 cable to a USB 3.0 cable for my Quest.

The one I was eyeing on Amazon had gone down from 23.95 to 18.95 and it's a 5m cable, so I get a whole 2 more meters on top of the stock 2.0 cable

I've been using VirtualDesktop for a cable-less experience, but now that Oculus magically has fixed my Audio issues (It wasn't piping the Mic and Headphone signals for the Game Audio to my Razer Blackshark v2) I'm gonna use that new Link Cable I just bought.

So... the v2 hooked into a Meizu Dongle is... actually surprisingly GOOD. I wouldn't call it music grade or audiophile grade, but the Mic is CLEAR and the positional audio for Gaming is good enough.

I'm using it as my "do anything" pair of headphones until I can get an XLR mic setup.

Hopefully this guy local-ish to me on OfferUp will bite at $150 or $160 instead of $170. If he won't he can go pound sand and I'll keep bidding on a cheap AF X52 on Goodwill

I got a different gasket, by Kiwi Design. Same company who makes the Quest Straps I have. This one has little vent holes at the top part of the replacement hard plastic part so it should be a little better for longer sessions.
