the K+ CPUs have 3000mhz d2d clock enabled by default, but the non K+ have to have the d2d manually overclocked

heatgun might work but you'd for sure need to preheat the board too. if you have a toaster oven you never use you can just flood the board in flux and put it in the oven at the highest temp before you heatgun the core

before doing that also check each vrm for shorts and then voltage though. could just part of be the vrm died too

and that's just a pull-and-replace operation
