I lost a piece of my soul trying to get a 5080… lemme tell u what happened… it all started 8 months ago when I got an ultrawide oled monitor because it was on a decent sale… I got it and I loved it… fast forward 6 months my then gpu (4070super) was frankly insufficient for ultrawide… I was still fine tho but then rammagedon happened and news abt gpus being affected next was rampant… December was basically the last chance… I stayed idle because I didn’t want to accept i wanted an upgrade… then the new year started stock was dry and nvidia dropped that rtx resident evil requiem trailer thats when i knew i wanted an upgrade… i scoured the internet and went to microcenter every week to find a 5080 for msrp… then one day i was finally able to order one on amazon after beating the bots…
