You can carry over a windows install and it'll probably work fine. It can lead to lots of random bugs and driver conflicts though and trying to go back and find them after can be a huge pain. I'd always just rip the bandaid off and do a fresh install with a new system or board then copy over any important files.

many creative industries there is demand but you have to actually be passionate about it to make a decent living. there are many people that don't necessarily value the work of creatives and opt for what is cheapest so you have to target those that do value the work
