The only thing we have on paper with regards to Deepseek's efficiency is that when tested by outside parties, it isn't any more efficient because it shifts the energy burden into different areas. True. there are no official breakdowns. However, they did use less than 3000 GPUs while Meta had around 16k, and ChatGPT had far more than both. Deepseek still out performed them. The only indication that proves that they used less energy is based on how many AI training hours that were recorded for all three.

What motherboard do you have? You can look for PL1 and PL2 in bios. Stock values would be 65W pl1 (long term) 148W pl2 (short term/turbo/boost) and if you have a decent board and cooler you can generally set pl1 to match pl2 and it'll run more like a K cpu where there is no time limit on the boost. Otherwise there would also be a time limit setting for pl2 like a minute or so.
