Tsmc might raise prices, they do that a lot. Unkown if that gets passed on or they eat it on their margin or it doesn't apply to their current contract but just a future one. The thing with ram prices going crazy isn't really affecting gddr (vram) like it is ddr5. It's gotten more expensive but it's not even close to the +$50 per 8gb like ddr5 modules have seen.

Yeah. The only difference between fan headers are the stock fan curve. Sometimes there are some rated for higher total amps too. Doesn't really matter unless you are using a y splitter to plug a bunch of fans into one header.

It is affecting vram. It's just a lot cheaper than dram now. Regular people and the normal business/server demand have to compete for dddr5 against big ai buildout contracts. For gddr7 there aren't a lot of people bidding against nvidia and you don't have that same sudden pressure on supply, constraining it and skyrocketing prices.
