Fair use doctrine is what steps in to make sure stuff like parody and such are still legal. They are (usually) without direct permission from the original copywriter and as such unlawful derivatives, but the transformative rules for fair use doctrine allows for a legal defense
So realistically, we need a court to rule if AI generation in and of itself a tool of fair use and or if liability falls on the person generating the image or the generation mechanism and the people who made it

My PC just died in a way I have never seen before. Screens went black, audio kept playing. Sound slowly crackled out. First it was the video gone, then the music slowly died out. And now it's just stuck in black nothingness
