Scheduling, Latency, Training, and other issues combined with two faulty 7950x3D during the early Zen4 adoption phase. My 7950x works flawlessly though and so does my 9950x3D.

I use Super PI to check the max frequency of each individual thread in a ST load and carefully observe both the instant and effective clocks in HWinfo

If Core A can do 6Ghz at this -10 CO but core B can only do 5.88Ghz at -10 CO then core B is slower.

Also some cores can clock really high but don't like negative offsets.

So it's a combination of needing the core to be able to accept a severe enough CO to tell the algorithm to boost that high and the silicon being able to actually boost that high.

It's a lot more testing.

I found that setting a large negative CO then using a positive VID offset works to trick the algorithm into thinking the cores are receiving enough of a undervolt then though I am using the offset to effectively eliminate or reduce it behind the scenes.

Btw @lone mango it's VERY UNLIKELY that you have any die other than Hynix M.

Since Micron and Samsung does tRFC in the +200ns range.

And your cas scaling is much better. Plus Team group T-Create DIMMs use almost exclusively Hynix.

I already know someone that knows how to run the 9800x3D sub-ambient and 50c under load in OCCT AVX512 drawing ~180w by using the TECs to chill the water in one loop and then have another loop to dissipate the heat generates by the tecs.

That said, I want to figure out how effective a stacked TEC setup would be if it's used in a Direct Die setup. Conformal coat the CPU, and motherboard around it, and the TECs will make direct contact with the dies, then use a loop or a massive air cooling solution to cool off the hotside of the TECs.

His jaw is dislocated. It’s gonna be several hundred to fix tomorrow morning. Seems like something happened when we were getting Mail and he must’ve hurt himself.
