A few days ago I learned that zen c cores are actually the same as traditional zen cores, they are just made differently

When they make micro architectures, there is a team assigned to every part of it, which can make it larger because teams can’t put parts of their section into other team’s sections

Zen 5c has all the same stuff that zen 5 has, but uses more high density cells and has the entire core made as one thing, rather than the zen 5 core having each separate section

That means if something bad is spotted in a part of the core, the whole thing probably has to be remade

While the zen 5 core being more modular can just have that problematic section replaced

Let’s say an l1 cache register is not behaving properly and gets noticed towards the end of development, or the buffer that moves l1 data to the l2 for example. They can just get that team that worked on that part and fix it, but the zen 5c core with those problems might have to be made from scratch because everything in it is tied together to make it more compact

Yeah it used 3 gigs of ram on a fresh install

It had like 150 services or so

I ran talon anyway and it went down to just above two gigs, but I think any fresh system will go that low with a debloater like that

After updates it was like 4.5 gigs

But like 80 services as of now, pretty good

Linux still sweeps though, with even my customized desktop at like 2.5 gigs and a fresh install at 2

I let the fresh install sit for a bit and it went down to like 1.8

Also the 25h2 update adds more services for copilot

Ok so talon also modifies folder that copilot would be in, and changes the ownership to stop them from being tampered with by updates in the future

Whereas for edge it does the same thing but changes the ownership of the edge folders to the user
