Tablets are a great option to use as an extra monitor in general, and most good ones have AMOLED displays. 2 of mine are tablets

They don't even have to be powerful or anything. My smaller of the two is coming up on 7 years old. I could only imagine how cheap people sell them for used

And that's a 2k 10.5 inch AMOLED display with 10 point touch, a built in battery, and an S pen that can be used in drawing apps on your PC with 4096 levels of pressure, velocity, and tilt sensitivity

And, the display software runs completely wirelessly, so you can place it wherever you want, or even use it in bed

The software that I use is called super display, and I 10 out of 10 recommend it for anybody looking to use a tablet for a secondary display. I do think it's like 6:00 or $7, but if you are trying to add a display long-term, it is hands down the best software I have used

If you are trying to add multiple different displays from old devices, then I recommend space desk. It's not as customizable, reliable, or fast, but it supports multiple additional displays at the same time, which super display cannot do
