ok wtf.... my second monitor bugged out for the second time today. very brief, it hasn't lasted more than a quarter second, but for that amount of time, it looks like my ram crapped itself.
specific monitor is a Viewsonic VA25465smh 60HZ 1080p. it's plugged into my 265K, and my RAM is corsair vengeance 32g DDR5-6000 CL36. any ideas as to what could be causing it?

I assume that's an older monitor. If that's the case, it could be crapping out. I had an old ViewSonic that started getting signal static/noise, and it would randomly turn into pure static for a second or two before fixing. Eventually, I had to disable all color on the monitor for it to work at all. It died shortly after

My whole family uses HP laptops except for my mother in law, who has a Dell Precision I picked up super-cheap used off Marketplace about 3 years ago:

  • My laptop is a super cheap HP refurb that I picked up below 300 bucks recently at Micro Center with a 17 inch screen for basic couch use, so far only 1 of the screw mounts has broken for the hinge
  • My wife's got an HP 2-in-1 so the hinges are solid on that one.
  • My mom has an HP I bought for her on eBay several years ago when her Toshiba from like 2012 started having issues, I made sure it was Windows 11 compliant so it's 8th gen, and one of the two hinge mounts is gone
  • Mother-in-law uses a Dell Precision workstation I got used on eBay immediately post pandemic on Marketplace for like 350 with a 10th gen i7, bought it from someone who was going "back to the office" after lockdowns, she uses it to manage her business and there are no issues

The biggest problem is that it is sitting on a lot of old stuff that isn't in line with modern MMO gameplay. I have 680 hours in the thing and haven't gotten into a lot of content made within the past 10 years and quite a few mechanics have been dropped or abandoned

And SSG is not doing any major overhauls, just chugging out content
