1. if you're gonna use this method, you really shouldn't put food in or on any of the stuff you've used for this after, ever. literally toxic.
2. you're supposed to strip the board down completely, me personally I would have removed the rear I/O plate. then you cover up anything you're not trying to reflow with aluminum foil to insulate it from the heat. So you leave the GPU and the VRAM exposed if that's what you're trying to reflow. Definitely cover the PCIE power plugs.
3. If you're trying to reflow a GPU, this one has a heatspreader. You'd need to remove that for it to reflow properly.
4. 428F is the minimum for the solder to re-melt, really you should run it at 500F so it actually actually melts. Give it 10-15 minutes so it can actually reach that temp.

5 when you pull the card out don't touch or flex it at all for a minimum of 2 hours so the solder re-solidifies without REALLY breaking a connection. LIke leave it on the tray and don't touch.
