It arrived and I wasn't that impressed. So I opened a return, eBay generated a return label, I sent it back.
The guy who sold it to me had moved, and he hadn't updated his address with eBay. So it went to his old place. Signature required, since it was an expensive GPU. They didn't sign for it, they marked it return to sender. I got the GPU back.
I contact eBay and they tell me the situation with the address, and say it's up to the seller to issue me a new label at his expense. He doesn't. I get refunded.

You could prolly test LAN speeds with smth like OpenSpeedTest or smth. Been forever since I last looked at tethering, but I think when I last looked at it there were speed penalties cuz built in modems dont like working on two network things? Idk, could've been wrong at the time and very much could be wrong now-a-days
Pretty sure you can also do reverse tethering through adb commands if on Android. So the PC is the tether host
