You have to add this add on card that sticks up to have front panel io and a fan header

And the front io has that gigabyte connector monstrosity

Just above it is a mini 4 pin fan connector and they provide an adapter cable to convert that to 4 pin

The third m.2 is underneath the rear backplate, so you would need to take the board out if you want to take the drive out or add one later

The connector locations overall are just strange

Steam deck oled would be my personal rec, but i can understand getting a switch cuz u would atleast use it to play games since they’re not available on pc, but with a deck u might just prefer gaming on pc. For the xbox ally, i wouldnt consider the base model it is likely to perform just like the steam deck while being a 100 bucks more expensive and no oled, maybe the more expensive model has more to offer but even thats mega expensive

it is very rare that you will find an application that scales infinitely with both CPU and GPU without one affecting the other, and certainly games are not one of these. you give the example of minecraft but this would be a textbook CPU bottleneck... the game is extremely CPU bottlenecked bc it only uses one core. the mere fact that you can throw a bunch of shaders on to also put load on the GPU doesn't take from this, it simply reduces the bottleneck by adding additional load to the GPU. if you remove that load you will go back to being CPU bottlenecked. not because the GPU load somehow reduces CPU load, but because the GPU is now doing enough work so as to not be as badly bound by the CPU
