it's especially important if rice is a large part of your nutritional intake

Because the cheap rice cookers with absolutely no logic boards can make perfectly good rice with the technique written in the manual

One of the best things to do whether you have an expensive or cheap rice cooker is to let the rice soak before cooking it

Cooks it more evenly in my experience

And much faster in the case of brown rice
