Actually, I'd also look around and see if there are any other degrees you might be interested in. Cybersecurity is the route I took. I'm barely using my degree rn because I'm stuck between wanting to work for another company or working full time with my parents (I also work with my parents)

And yes I work in IT. It's actually where most cybersecurity workers start

The only reason why I might not suggest cybersecurity is because IT is sometimes a pain to get into. Easy work? Yes. Hard to get into? Not necessarily. You just need good luck getting your foot in the door, or know some people who could get you a position. Work a few months to a year (minimum), seek new IT positions. Keep working your way up to at least a senior technician, then go start searching for entry-level cybersecurity positions
