yeah for sure. Q2/3/3s have fixed a lot of that (for me at least) by simply making the headset lighter and the headstrap wayyyyy more suitable for actual humans, instead of whatever lizard beasts the Rift S/Q1 was designed for
beyond that i think they need to consider adjusting the display duty cycle a looooot. apparently the Q3 pancake lenses help, but i think a less harsh duty cycle would also help. the inverse has been demonstrated with early PSVR 2's being unbearably sickening due to a poorly programmed duty cycle

pretty much. using steamlink or remote desktop is so much better than with the cable, especially if you run a hotspot or something directly to ur pc. the really big issue I have with them is that they use the usb c standard but don't even bother implementing dp. wasting so much reasources compressing and decompressing the video feed which the cable has issues with at that length

Technically both Steamlink and Virtual Desktop can be cabled using C to Ethernet. Tbh should only really be considering ALVR or Remote Desktop. Steamlink and Oculus Link are either mid or bad. But yes, the 400Mb - 600Mb is super limiting compared to like 80Gb or whatever DP2.1 is. Or the 20Gb for C cable.
Also, official C cable from Meta is optical, so it can kinda be any random range without much issue.
Also^2, hotspot is typically ass on most wireless AiC. They don't support AP/Master mod (DFS Master mode I think it is?). Some do, but at limited channel width. You want a dedicated proper AP, 5GHz/6GHz at 160Mhz channel width with 2x2/4x4 attena layout. Esp want it dedicated to VR only if it's 2x2 config

my problem really is trying to get any software to do higher than USB 2.0 speeds is basically impossible. I cannot begin to explain my frustration with them. I have probably 5 sets of cables now, some copper and some optical. none will work at above 2.0 speeds with the quest. but they will for other devices so there is that too
before someone says it ye the port on the headset is probably just bad at this point but I have seen so many others online complain about the same issues. so either their software is crap, or their usb c port is really cheaply made
