A USB 2.0 port is also many many times faster than a C64's RAM. It is crazy to think about.

57 KB/s seems to be what real world data shows for C64 mem bandwidth. If being generous, in theory up to 1 MB/s... which is still only 8 megabits/s, a small fraction of USB 2's like 480 megabits/s
