Yeah seems like the plan is next year
x3d cpus are still fresh, zen 6 coming out would just wipe those out

depending on my money ill go all out on platform with a non x3d until the x3d releases
hell i might even go for a used 7800x3d to hold me out
I spent 600 and now zen 6 came out
Fellas am I cooked
Type posts appearing
Goes hard
I forgot this is 1440p nvm
unplayable
When you buy the 9950x3d and it gets owned in the same year
Lf better cpu then me
how mcuh fps u get
my laptop from like 2015 with some crappy chil does better

my rooms hot asf fan time
Hey, what's better? An rx 580, or a gtx 970?
Might be getting laptop with a 13th gen i7, RTX 4060, 16 GB of RAM for $300. There is a major caveat though... it has a history of cola being dumped on it... but it still functions. The person selling it to me is someone I know and is also going to clean it up and allow me to stress test it and stuff.
I think the 970 was around a 1060, which is also what the rx 580 is around

more like 980, but yeah
980 = 1060, 980 ti = 1070. bar vram differences ofc
Rx 580 then
I will be able to thoroughly inspect basically every aspect of it
Especially if 8 gig
580 by a pretty decent margin, yeah
OK bet, thanks
I got a 970 from a friend, and my brother has a 580 so I was gonna replace it with that if it was better
4GB version should be about 10-20% faster, 8GB version will be that + whatever gains you see from having a usable vram buffer if that is an issue with 4GB cards in any of your games
Ok, imma use it with my mini PC then until GPU prices stop being ridiculous (hopefully)
totally understandable haha
Eh the 10 series are better
Maybe at launch they were the same
probably by a bit with drivers by now, but same sort of ballpark
I think polaris got better over time too
it did, yes
Really anything from 2016 to 17 was great
polaris, maxwell, pascal, even RDNA 1 to an extent were all excellent generations
True rdna aged pretty well
Rdna 1 was complete garbage
Turing sort of got the ball rolling as far as massively anticonsumer practices go. but then, it was also the start of Nvidia's shift away from gaming, so perhaps it's not so much anticonsumer as it is anti our specific type of consumer and very much pro professional/datacenter/enterprise/etc.
Pretty bad start but they worked it out and now the 4th iteration is one of the best arches
Expensive paper weight with unusable drivers. Some of them still are in a way since they were hardware flaws
selling Navi 21 A0 silicon was an enormous mistake, but if you didn't purchase at launch you got revised silicon, and drivers were sorted pretty quickly. not so much for the A0 cards though, which is where a lot of those persistent issues with drivers come from that generation
a small minority with basically defective GPUs that drivers could never totally fix for the longest time
It took over a year
sorry not 21 that's rx 6000 lol. what is it, navi 11?
I know someone who had a “few” of them. The issues are more common than people thought
RDNA 1 hardware was was pretty good, drivers on the other hand...
Don’t ask why he had so many
There was money to be made at the time from them
The hardware wasn’t good either
Anyone know any good, cheap 120mm fans
Arctic p12
hmm interesting. i was a filthy turing user at the time, so perhaps that informed my comparatively more positive perception of Navi 1. lack of hands on time does tend to smooth out both the highs and lows
Or p12 max
^
by the time the drivers got fixed, the hardware was not that great lol
“We heard you like Radeon vii so we made it cheaper and different”
Honestly if you got $150 to spend, an RX 5700 XT is a good buy
but it was expensive as hell haha. i rememver 5700 xt's selling for more than 3070's at times lol
Mining
yep
^
they were ridiculously efficient for what they were
Radeon Instinct MI50 be like
The gpu mining craze is way worse than what were dealing with now imo
Hear me out
yea, but in retrospect with current updated drivers, the hardware was competitive
least by ebay prices
i'd rather go back... i was rolling in free GPUs then. not so much now
We add on another crypt mining craze to our current shortage
nah bro its over
Not like usd is stable
hm
still like 500000% more stable than crypto smh
The only people making money on crypto right now are people in government using it as a tool to pump and dump their preferred coins
Pretty good
crypto is at least cyclical mostly. you can get an idea of the general trends, but not so much the micro
Ones unstable up ones unstable down
i see
remember when UST was supposed to be a stablecoin pegged to the dollar
and now it's worth like a cent
L
is it still that low?
0.013 rn
pretty wicked. Radeon VII were selling for more than $1000 for a reason. i think vega was a bit slower than it for mining, but still talking 3070 ish hashrates
used to be even lower I think
damn
No way I’m actually positive on my investment again
insane
lol
Crypto has no real value. It is a speculative asset that varies in value based on market sentiment and the actions of big asset holders. That is it. USD may be jumping into the toilet right now, but it atleast has something tangible driving that value
wait until you hear about fiat currency
That is in itself real value
literally everything is fake
vega64 was also the generation that showed us that many PSUs will trip OCP with high spikes lol
relative to what happens in crypto, USD is still very stable rn
USD is Fiat. Its value is determined by trust in the issuing government, its widespread use and the US economy
im only interested in crypto as a more open alternative to traditional banking
wasn't vega 64 regarded as the hottest, most power hungry gpus they made?
hey 295x2 existed
president makes a tweet and 2t gets wiped out of the stock markets... yeah totally real guys. everything is fake and it's funny to me when people pretend otherwise
but it wasn't mainstream
That and xtx ye
6900xt with mpt on is no joke either
The stock market has no bearing on the exchange rates and value of US currency
900w 6900xt mod
usd is down single digit % wise in exchange rates iirc
Yes people selling has an effect on it’s value
my point is that the economy is fake, currency is equally fake just in different ways
for +1.5fps boost
this is true oc
it was centered around gold/silver/copper for a very long time
Okay. So crypto is more fake than the mainstream, normal fake stuff
highest power draw i've ever achieved was 820w briefly on a 2080 ti
Those used to be just the means of trading
we were very close to being on a silver standard
agreed. because crypto is fake and also its value is measured in fake stuff
Overclockers when they get +10 FPS by adding 500W of power draw and almost melting half of their comtuter
That would probably melt your cables
WAT
Fiat is crypto confirmed
goose
Pretty sure 500w is the limit on those connectors
what do i do with my corsair ram, its only worth $30 so im keeping it
PCIE 8 pins can take 300w easy, and my cables are nice. not concerned
820w 2080ti sounds mental
Idk make a cheap pc with it or something
my 9070 is getting close to 5080 performance and i've only pushed an extra 180 ish watts into it
its designed for 150w but people are pulling more 🤔
💀
Crypto is digitized, decentralized fiat whose value is solely determined as a speculative asset
a single 8pin can handle that much?
kinda impressed
Can't you just undervolt an XT and get better performance than a 5080?
Ye 300 is fine. 800 it would melt
so what im hearing is, people are running their gpus past the spec of the cables which mean its technicly a firehazard so their invalid
bruh i cannot with this filter
then Nvidia's new power connectors doesn't make sense whatsoever
You’d need to overclock it
i don't even swear a lot
Undervolting just reduces the power draw/ voltage
Me after I joined
Better in like forza maybe
it was 800 but that was across 2x 8 pins and 75w on the PCIE
im ngl i dont trust that
The limit on 3 pins is like 500w
but just as a reminder, you can draw a LOT more from PCIe
spec is 150w, ur pulling 400 between them
Yeah I thought people were getting better performance than a 5080 just by undervolting because of thermal limits
remember like 150w through the pcie slot on like 470s iirc
somehow
Yeah
Undervolting in RDNA 3 and above is just giving more thermal headroom so it can boost higher
I mean that could be it
i thought it was 75w
spec is 75w
I didn’t think of that
Lowering the voltage makes it boost higher
not to my knowledge, but the undervolting there doesn't reduce power draw, it stays the same, just clocks higher. you're basically just shifting the voltage/frequency curve
(tho it can bring cooler temps but power is still high depending on boost clocks)
yea uv on rdna 4 is different from ampere and co
Yeah
like i said, 300w is light work for them. it was brief anyway, my PSU tripped OPP pretty quickly lol
Wasn't that RX 480s mostly?
I just always lock clocks
I draw more power trying to uv my 9070xt lol
The difference is that actual fiat currency has a centralized authority saying it is capable of being used to pay taxes, do business and that the value is set by a variety of factors controlled by normal, traditional forces
It’s consistent that way
idk but ima trust the engineers who designede it more than you
it was either 470 or 480 that pulled significantly over 100w
that fiasco was wild, pcie traces burned
PCI SIG literally states that the tolerances allow it to live at 300w iirc
can u show
Sli and crossfire never took off, quite a shame
but now im glad it didn't
these damn bricks are too power hungry
the advantages of having a good psu...
so u have no source okay
i'm just not interested in arguing with you because you seem kinda obnoxious is all
If it was a truly good psu it would have had enough power 🗿
im skeptical on the saftey of this
GPUs in 2025:
Ax1600i the goat
gooser
that's fine, don't do it then
play goose scam
What’s that
people who say underclocking + undervolting = undervolt is not an undervolt
afaik ive seen posts like this for RDNA 3
Undervolt can technically be called an “overclock”
Yeah rdna 4 seems to be a little different but for me turning down the offset actually does do it
Actually idk about that
It seems you have to bring clocks down or limit them
i run th is
ehhh you lower temps while retaining high clocks
Or turn down the power limit a little bit
or same clocks
clocks are tied to current, so if you drop clocks and voltage you actually reduce power draw
Running it at lower voltage than stock though
Either way, you have to apply some other kind of constraint
Right, but reducing voltage will drop it more
give me a 9070xt already
provided current stays the same, yes. but on RDNA 4 clocks typically just increase, which pushes current, and you end up with roughly = power draw
NO
mmm 2-3 gens later
RDNA 2 was worse. arbitrary clock speed limits built into the silicon....
it must reach this
it had MPT so it cancels that out
(have a soft spot for owning a 6700xt once)
MPT gives voltage control, but afaik it does not allow exceeding the clock speed limits
my 6800 for example could max out the sliders if i fed it a little more voltage... but the sliders capped out at 2800mhz
true, its been a while since i last used it
rx6600 is a very good 1440p gpu
My 6700 xt went from 186 to like 140 maximum while losing like 3% perf
stop cappin
which was so stupid because if i can hit the limit then obviously the limit is not high enough lol
unless you're playing super light games
If it wasnt power limited at 186 it would do more
1440p gpu
You can do it with a 6600 but you need to put fsr on everything
what clock speeds does your 2080 ti hit? i have a 1060 i'm in the process of modding... maybe i can beat your 2080 ti again just to rub salt in the wound lmfao
calling a gpu capable of a certin res isnt very helpful when people dont play the new slop
I did 1440p helldivers with a 6600
it doesnt run well unless upscaling
Yeah
my 7700xt does alright with my settings, 90fps
My igpu gets 60-90 fps with an ultralight shader at 1440p
playable
really? i found my 4060 ti was a little slow for it at 1440p... but then i am a sucker for all the pretties lol. settings were not exactly optimized on my end
it wont break a sweat at high res
2160mhz. My friend gets 2200 on his 1060 somehow
I turned the upscaling down further thats why
I think it was at balanced
Resolution went up, upscaling went down one tick
Or two
I think balanced is 2
hmm maybe i can top that. i have to rework some stuff but i'll get back to you eventually lol. nvidia driver kinda screwed me over a bit
i got an RX 570 8GB sitting here, i wonder if i should chase scores with it
just some XFX model tho
I’ve done 2170 but that’s about it. Never tried any higher
since when did HD2 support upscaling? is it some BS unreal engine TSR thing, or is it DLSS/FSR?
It’s already on the verge
its always had it
The verge mentioned
it looks bad when i upscale to 4k on my rx6600
yes i run 4k on my rx6600 sometimes
I dont remember what type of upscaling it uses but it is not unreal engine
rx6600 is a 4k gpu
It is something akin to tsr I think
interesting. i'll have to check it out. i kinda hate upscaling that isn't DLSS/FSR4, but if it's something different than TSR i'll give it a try
Oof
minecraft at 4k
thats not roblox
roblox is easier to run tbh
really?
yeah
But surprisingly it didnt look so bad at balanced, probably because I was on a 1080p monitor
one second
if iv had better luck on older hardware running roblox than with minecraft
now roblox fps sucks but i can get it to run on lower end hardware more easily
So I was running 1440p on a 1080p monitor, with the native resolution at half of that
Boy what the hell boy
But this was before I got the 6700 xt
ok run this 4k max on your 6600
I was just curious on what frame rates I would get if I got a 1440p montior before the 6700 xt
okay
But I saw a banger deal and got the 6700 xt at 250 and then got the monitor later
lol
LETS DO THIS
I think the guy selling it did not take advantage of the current market. He sold it at its true, uninflated price

Truly a bro
i cant get a fps reading from amd
4k fullscreen pull fps up
Control shift o
doesnt work
0.1k ultra low definition
if that doesn't work use Win + G then click performance
Wait whats going on
it will show u perf metrics
i dont have gamebar installed
bruh
Are you playing a game through rdp or something
Turn on overlay on the pc that is being remoted into
How much did u pay for ltsc
sure

Ah
Mass Gravel
4k bro
ugh
heheh
i f ixed it, its just a 1440p stream
the game it self is 4k
wa
why does roblox scale sensativity with the damn resolution
pulling 60fps
lemme see graphics settings?
oh nice
Me too
And ima go be depressed again
i just put my fan next to my desk
based
Microsoft bloatware can go die in a fire
fr
people in the microsft discord pretend its fine
blah blah normal consumerss blah blah, and thats why they add that bull poop
probably because any other opinion would be "trolling"
yup
its funny
they ban all forms of debloating
but ur more than welcome to flip up ur linux install

a dude got muted cause they helpled me disable auto updates permently
then I would be welcome there lol
i wanted to disable updates cause i use a rig as a server and dont want it turning off when i dont tell it to
Bruh
Someone take my 5700g
id tradein my 13600kf

does it work
Microsoft wants you pay $9001 for a Windows Server license
and im good on that
they defend so much sillyness in that server
copy of MH wilds?
count me in
is that the one you "fixed" the other night?
what's wrong with it? i thought just pins
i wonder how much better 9700x is compared to the 7700
isn't it like 7% or something silly?
but fr, Linux is a far superior OS for server use in 99% of cases
arguably also for daily driving as a user lol
woh but when u say linux is better they go buT ThE AvErAgE CoNsUmEr shut up the average bozo uses a browser to do stuff they dont need windows
unironicly if i gave my grandparents linux their computes would have NO issues, why? cause linux typicly doesnt get updates that brick it
also tfw someone says they will never use Linux... but then games on a Steam Deck
(and it also doesn't restart your PC to force brickable updates without your consent)
also in the mc server they say you should factor in a windows key from microsoft
no thank you
i have three pcs that i could a ctivatee "legally" and it would cost me $600
I would rather activate Linux
i did the math
im not spending $600 on computers that cost less than that

my 2nd rig and nas probably cost $600 toghter
windows is free to activate tho
legally its not
i mean it is
no its not
you literally just run some commands in the terminal
...
technically we are not allowed to discuss such methods here
i don't but okay
if i didnt play anticheat games i would swap to linux so f ast
you know they messed up when a large percentage of enterprise companies use Linux as a server OS instead of Windows Server
AFAIK even Microsoft uses Linux internally
maybe because it kinda sucks as a server
Turns out I didn’t fix it well enough
It’s still dead
the SECOND somebody gets fortnite working on linux im swapping
but is it just pins that are screwed or something else wrong with it too?
No idea
dont bother, it will just get you banned after a patch "fixes" it
-# oh yeah btw its coming back to US iphones
I saw
Realistic outcome
JUST ENABLE FORTNITE IN UR ANTICHEAT
what a long time it took for them to get it back
EASY ANTICHEAT SUPPORTS LINUX
No dude linux gamers are cheaters and they share a bunch of code to make cheats man
Bro we are all cheaters dude
Why you have to caps lock
how much in RND will it really cost epic to enable it.. unless they did some stupud stupid custom easy anticheat that makes it difficult
BUTTERFINGERS
WE SAVED DORRETA!!!
i dont need it, i dont need it
Correct you dont
i think i need it
why did good psu price sincrease so much 😦
im only upgrading my main pcs psu so i can pass it to my server with a "broken" one
Does anyone have deep rock galactic
i can if its cheap
I noticed that they have gone up, probably because of higher wattage cards
yeah
i do, havent played it in years
Rdna 4 quite literally popped off
ill still. pay the price
never hooked me
Easy Cheat
how
me when companies add an "anti-cheat" to pretend they're doing something about cheaters
I hate Tim Sweeney
He'll never let it run on Linux in any way
fr
FR
i only play fortnite when my friend tell me to get on
i dont wanna go, oh yeah i cant run fortnite btw
i can cope with no roblox, ill just rdp into my windows pc.. fortnite when i need responsetime? hell no
Because there are "too many people cheating on Linux"
what was the reason, linux had a lot of cheaters and playerbase was less than Windows?
Linux support is like zero effort in the big three game engines
fr
It wasn't even too many cheaters, it was "too easy to cheat"
let proton do it for you
You can compile to Linux
nobody develops cheating software for linux anywysa
You don't need Proton
hell people dont even cheat on the pc their playing the game on
they have a 2nd pc running it
It was a combination of there being more cheaters on Linux and it was also easier for cheat developers to develop cheats on Linux
Hey I just wanna make sure, should I put the ram in the 1st and 3rd slot?
2nd and 4th
sounds like 2nd and 4th to me
sometimes i wanna buy the same ram kit again and run 64gb 4000mt/s
i had some silly micron rev E that i could run at 5133 for the memes
i have https://vextroboomin.xyz
I have REV e corsair i think
not in my current rig tho
its a 3200 kit that @idle nexus helped me ge to 4000mt/s "stable" stable until i did some random test
it's super fun to overclock because it takes voltage like a champ. it's like poor man's B die lol
It's using it in something that runs on potatoes
rev e is SOOO EASy to c
no, i'm the poor man in this situation
There's literally no performance difference but everything looks so much better 💀
Very amazing preset AMD
my ddr4 beats alot of ddr5 just cause its tuned
too end DDR3 is wicked fast. better than some Jedec DDR4 in clockspeed and wildly tighter timings. DDR3 era was goated too
could get a 2600k or smth and have it run everything for like a decade
yall think ddr6 will be easy to oc
Let’s first get to the point where ddr5 is easy to oc
they seem to be getting less and less OC friendly. DDR5 in particular flirted with locking OCers out via restrictive PMICs
real lmfao
I need serotonin
boot times are the biggest bottleneck imo. the platform is brutal, but it would be less so if it didn't take a whole minute to swap settings
Do I buy 5090
thats some intel crap
Why is this the first point? make it the second point, making it cheaper the first point
you mean do you buy me a 5090 right?
NO EBEGGING READ THE RULES
Cheaper? In this economy?
Too late they are all sold out
I can dream
hey idols aren't allowed to carry weapons
affordable space heating
real
i dont need spaceheating when my room is atleast 10-15 degrees hottre than the rest of the house
im sweating
Ac unit time
PMIC is a DDR5 thing, platform agnostic. does come off very Intel though
When should I buy ddr5
That's just Corsair smh
it's just that fortunately the limits in place are high enough in most cases that it's irrelevant
Zen 6?
that delivery driver's probably getting the first class treatment (AC in delivery vehicle)
i do wonder if it will be more of an issue with future generatiins
are they bad about locking their dram down?
Yes
Lol
cringe. one more reason to hate corsair memory i guess
Corsair locks pmic voltages and basically no one else does
I year the memory controller on am5 is pretty bad
it's not terrible, but Arrow Lake sorta smokes it
One company to avoid (except their psus)
not that arrow lake is even really relevant at all lmfao
(which they don't even make)
If theoretically intel added 3D vcache would the performance go to intel?
Or is that not the only bottleneck
more cache is certainly always useful, but i think they sort of put themselves in a corner by axing hyperthreading, and then killing the internal development project for their hyperthreading successor
so idk what the plan is any more at this point
Who knows maybe they’ll release next gen and smoke amd and we would never expect it
The cases are nice
they really need to majorly overhaul their core architecture imo, but they killed that project too lmfao
Mmm
their cores are HUGE and it makes it hard to compete. AMD's whole strategy is selling tiny efficient cores that take up next to 0 die area so that they can win on margin without losing much performance
Hyperthreading off is better but it should be an option imo
and at a certain point if your starting point is so much better, your gains snowball
HT off has very limited benefits on architectures that support it, overall having the extra multithreaded performance matters more to me. if the architecture was such that the second thread wasn't needed and the core was simply running FULL tilt all the time, then i would agree. but that was what HT-next was meant to be, not what we have. and they killed HT-next
Hyperthreading is a band aid fix for not having enough cores
For gaming turning it off increases performance
is ddr6 even necessary
L4 cache and send amd to the caveman ages
yeah as long as you have enough cores which is what you're getting at. but the silicon of doubling cores is way more than letting you stretch your underutilized cores some more, which is what HT is basically
isn't adamantine also cancelled lol
the L4 on broadwell was just on package dram, which we have with Lunar Lake i believe?
No but number go up
adamantine was a proper l4 solution
Which one is lunar lake
and afaik it's dead
Intel would win
mobile only
Oh
Intel should work on a 3D vcache competitor
Next gen Intel will be very good I suspect
If they did I think they would win in multicore
While being a good gamer
I don’t think they will be the best, but be very compelling
I want the 149KF but the i7s are so cheap it’s hard to go for the i9
Yeah
chiplets are cool, but intel seems not to understand why you do chiplets... they cost performance, they make up for it with parallization and better cost optimized architectures so you can throw more stuff on the package. intel seems to just want to use 30 different bleeding edge nodes to perform worse than raptor lake...
Why, they stopped doing it because it was mostly a waste of space and money
If Intel did chiplets imagine how many P cores you could get
They’re copying the worst parts of amd, arrow lake is faster for productivity but for gaming it’s not it
Imagine 12p 16E
they started doing it again with Lunar Lake and it seems to be going reasonably well
They are with arrow lake
It’s a weird hybrid architecture
Isnt cache slower as the number gets higher
even in productivity it's not by a large margin, and is VASTLY more expensive to produce on a much better node
I mean it’s still probably magnitudes faster than ram but still
Well at least they’re doing 12 p cores this year
That’s huge
that's good
And it works on your 3 generations old motherboard
amd is doing 12P ccds, is intel?
Yeah 12 p cores lga1700
im ngl i might buy a 12p core amd chip
lga1700??
yeah. intel's l4 implementations have basically just been ultra low latency on-package dram tho. Adamantine was meant to be an active interposer/cache layer that could scale up to gigabytes of usable l4 cache, but intel cancelled it soooooooo. idk what's up anymore because to my knowledge that was supposed to be their Vcache alternative
Kinda wish Intel experimented for once and kept LGA 1700 alive a bit longer
they could have kept it
LGA 1851 is stupidly short lived
Yeah same
lga1700 could have had the new chips easilly i bet
Facts
It’s getting another generation
Intel try not to move to a new socket every 1 generation challenge
afaik this is not coming to consumer. also it's raptorlake and not fixed raptorlake either
And like why did they abandon the thing they had
Arrow lake now is actually not that bad at all
if intel just came up with a way to give cpus more cache to compete with AMD they could win, Intel doesnt have the ccd latency issue AMD has
Especially after all the cope updates
strong disagree. architecturally and performance wise it's a massive L imo
Most recent one was them increasing their memory controller clocks
They had the fastest cpus and now, well, they have ai

It’s coming to consumers apparently
intel still has majority marketshare
Derbauer shows how it is now
I like how instead of tackling the high power problem 13/14th gen had. All they did was kill off hyper threading as a whole and saying "there, that fixed it!"
every pc i see in the wild is intel
It is not slow anymore
Intel is mad goofy
There’s been a ton of bios updates by now
wrong reply orrrr?
It’s probably closer to 14 gen now
Game dev ah wannabe
i wouldn'r but raptor lake tbh
yeah because opinions are true/false statements
It’s Bartlett lake
did intel make ultra using their own fabs or is it just TSMC
saying a cpu is fast or slow is not an opinion when facts can prove its not slow
I think they used their own?
ah well at least they're ridiculously expensive CPU with terrible margins moderately beats older CPUs in one particular workload

read my message again but with your glasses on this time dude
once again sometimes people just need that workload to be good
im happy for the 7 people who bought it
No wonder why it's soooo good (driver overhead aside)
performance is good
Brutal
sure, and for those people it's fine. but that's not the majority of the market
Except for the part where they've internally realized it hurt margins too much and said they won't be doing it again
it's not
okay
your fired
Thanks boss
intel should really move it internally tbh
did they say this about Lunar Lake in particular? or are you referring to their old Broadwell line?
Really? I'm hearing mixed stuff about 18A
does arrow lake have budget options yet
its a bad thing to rely on just 1 fab
That is true...
intel needs 18a just as we need it
They said back in November it was a one off with Lunar Lake and going forward they'd be going back to traditional memory layout
are they still having trouble with yields?
makes sense. i wish they'd do like a proper L4 with adamantine.... may it rest in peace
I have mine sitting under my bed and haven't updated it since release day

Brb
yikes. is this recent? i thought they were starting to make it work...
3 months ago im sure they are at least at 31%!
suboptimal, truly. 18a seemed good performance wise. the last thing Intel needs is for Foundry to start failing alongside their floundering core architecture teams
Its gone up since then but idk how much it has gone up
hopefully it has hit at least 50% or at least close to it
One day grandma shall be proud

i have an early shift at work tomorrow, so i'm going to bed. gn lads

Am I weird for wanting a 2080ti for no reason but Nvidia that’s good and cheap
nvidia more like midia
get 22GB one
How
Much are they

pretty recent to me
definitely not 69%
what % is high enough for production
why the bolower style
what makes them blowers
Idk but most of them are
Fire
Intel tries to stretch the definition of "production" to say 60% is production lol
why?
cause it has a K instead of a KF
🗿
and i bet they go for cheap
cheap ish i just checked
ok they suck on ebay wtf
too close to faster cpus
new 13700k is same price as used 12900k
logic 100
new 12900k cost too much to loose to a 13700k lmfaoo
8 cores
im ngl i forget i have 6 p cores
the Ecores dont make me feel like i have 6 P cores
interesting
how much u wanna spend?
$0 and $0 cent currently
good
maybe after 9070xt ill consider, but not now
~~ what about KS ~~
Nice
"I can fix it"
14900k in it self is worth upgrading to ddr5
if i can get a post id just prey its unstable and run lower clock speed on it
*wait can u run lower clock speed on a non K cpu..
i think you can
uh why?
so i can plug a nvme into this wifi card i have
tf
i have a wifi card rn, i can just remove the wifi thigy it self and use the m.2 slot
i hope its pcie 3.0..
ima plug it in real quick and see
how fast is 1x 2.0 even 😢
legit around SATA III speed
Yall fw fenvi wifi bluetooth adapters?
I got one brand new for like 8$
Works nice
But the antennas tho bro
Suck so bad
They are soo loose
They just flop around
ddik sata III speeds
@rancid juniper how do extentiosn and such determin pcie gen.. if its just direct traces to the device couldnt it just handel any gen
i dont see no chip or anything that could determin it
you mean on your motherboard or the card itself?
because both are easily identifiable if you look it up
but if not, just use hwinfo
both, how does devices negotiate when their on a riser. what make a 5.0 riser diffrent from a 4.0 one
never used risers so i dunno if it affects speed
What chipset
Ac1200
Its what i use
I upgraded and downgraded from tplink ac1200 pcie wifi card (wifi 8) to fenvi ac1200 bluetooth wifi pcie (wifi4 and Bluetooth 3 i think or something lmfao)
Intel then I think
im saving my wifi 6 card for any device thats like wifi 5 i might get
i dont think ill ever use it
Honestly
Pretty much all wifi NICs are the same within the same chipset
until mediatek
Mediatek good?
no
Oh
I think something in my pc is mediatek
Ive seen it in settings or device manager
I couldn't locate one of the HDD cage/mount things even tho I probably have like 6 of them somewhere. They're usually the first thing out of a new case... anyway I had to improvise. Related, HDDs use 6-32 screws lol
should hold it well enough I think
there are 4 screws holding it. Two aren't visible from this angle lol
I forgot to say but the wifi on this new board is cracked
Remember when I said I get like 2/3 to 3/4 of what I was supposed to get on my laptop
Well I get the full speed now and its real good
If I have a 3d printer I’d 3d print a mount that holds 4 hdds and screws onto the 120mm fan mounts
I need like two mounts
Thats 3 tho
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 8500G, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, HYTE Y70 ATX Mid Tower
My new build im going for
Gonna get the motherboard cpu and ram first
Sheesh
Wait
Get the 9600x on newegg
It comes with monster hunter wilds and a 500 gb ssd
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, Lian Li O11 VISION COMPACT ATX Mid Tower
Also that ram you had was not very good and costs the same as this cl28
Yes, vengeance is overpriced
Oh I thought I was helping you save with the board but this one is the same price as the msi board

Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, Lian Li O11 VISION COMPACT ATX Mid Tower
I hope that card comes down in price
Even if you dont get it on newegg, the 9600x on amazon still comes with wilds but no ssd
I’d print two the.
+4% perf over stock at 1.1v with +200mhz oc
Thats crazy
5% single core
I draw a little less power than stock while being a little faster, like 60w vs like a little over that

I wonder how little voltage it will pull when I remove the overclock
I think I saw it at 1 volt or something
The drive I record videos onto and game on has 10.5 tbw, the 2tb drive I cloned onto has 7.5 tbw, the third drive I render to, which used to be my dad's os drive for an old laptop, has 5 tbw
I think my drives will last a while
What now
Wow 5.62ghz single core thats crazy
1ghz higher than 5600
5.15 all core
Oh yah 5.63 in game

MSI gaming trio or msi vanguard 🤔
Are you actually getting a 5090
Answer the question
What’s the price difference
Please wait bro
🙏 💔
The ventus for $3144.98 is the real joke here
Vanguard has slightly high clocks but doesn't look like it will do much
I had a 4090 trio and it was solid , vanguard is new and gamery
If you’re gunna spend 99% of the way there just go to the 100% and get the vanguard
Should I

@rancid juniper @deep parcel https://x.com/RockstarGames/status/1918265468076605706
WOAHAOAOAH
sadge
Now you need to pay $100 for the game base edition
Deluxe version $169.99
They did say it would get delayed
I mean actually kinda just extra 6 months vs expected
probably
hopefully they will at least drop another trailer
like soonish
people gonna be mad lol
I’ll probably buy the Ps5 at some point
ps5 pro max
XD
im prob gonna go xbox series x
but by that time there prob will be a pro or something xbox
Nice
its only purpose would be for GTA lol
The new release date is cool though
5/26/26
But yeah FH6 better be good
Last 2 were flops
4 is v nice
They should put it in Japan
whole country like the crew 1
the main menu music was great
imma bet it's gonna flop
with fast cars given to you instantly in the first moment the cutscene ends
bugatti first mission
pretty sure I did get that right off the bat
in FH5
Wow what a shocker
That's expected
At least the rest of the gaming industry has a sigh of relief this year
The launch of that game better be pristine af
Waiting 13 years for the next mainline title is crazy
Tho there are IPs that lay dormant for near over 2 decades
i feel a coop mode
?
Would be nice
Give me multiplayer
That's good!
5080 30 fps low 720p
Not happening
Gay
Imagine if they have cyberpunk 2077 level path tracing
Do I buy a 5090 today
wait for 6090
If it's a Good price
Youve been complaining for 3 says just buy it lol
Theo buys 5090 today:
5090ti announcement tomorrow
imo unless it's something I actually need now, I just wait and keep it on my radar for sales or price drops
What is Nvidia gonna do when they get to the 10,000s

Seriously
With 48gb of VRAM
(Great for ai slop)
I hate ai
