but negative offset can net you a gain too while running more efficiently with less temps

you just keep adding to the negative offset until it becomes unstable

most people usually manage -20

GPU is easy, max out fans and power limit, then increase core clocks in intervals of 15 until you crash, artifact, or lose performance. do the same with mem (really probably do memory first, but meh) but with larger intervals. i usually do it by 50.

start with +1000 on mem, and like +150 or something on core to save yourself some time

i usually just use 3dmark timespy (graphics tests only) to stress test since it's also a benchmark, so you can see if you're running into ECC and losing performance with your memory overclocks

it's pretty easy to be technically unstable but not enough to really cause any errors, except that the IMC just repeatedly issues the same commands over and over bc the signal integrity is bad, which leads to bad performance. so just be on the lookout for performance regression when you mess with vram OC

and then follow all the PBO stuff described above for your 9800x3D. ryzen OC is also super easy

evga's X1 software is also an option, and in my experience can sliiiightly juice scores, but by meaningless margins in the real world. it's also generally less stable with 40/50 series than afterburner so questionably useful if you're looking to OC for detectable performance increases. if you're benching for scores, then by all means go for it tho

bug checks are usually memory errors. volmgr is a storage error. However, both of those errors can be the result of things totally unrelated to either one. For example, some of the latest nvidia drivers cause bugchecks.
