Now I am messing with display fusion with automatic focus fading, and this is great. Now I can set it to where when I am in an app, all my other OLED displays dim (except my video play back one), so I can still just barely see whats on them, but not worry about burn in at all

Plus I take great care of all my displays. Low brightness, nothing static, rotation and refreshing

Its really not. The only thing I have to ever deal with is a panel refresh on my main monitor if I use it for 16 hours with no down time

I flip my tablet upside down every few months. Thats about it

and its wireless, so its no big deal

like my QD OLED is at 35% brightness, tablet at 40% brightness, phone at 28% brightness, and portable monitor at 30% brightness

OLED's at low brightness look so much clearer and brighter than my IPS monitors that were technically brighter

Like my main QD OLED is technically 280 nits, but at even just 60% brightness, it looked way brighter than my 400 nits IPS

now we have a lot of good mitigation options

In reality as long as you're not in a bright room, how you use an oled panel may be practically the same as you do any other panel

4hr suggested refresh cycle, but you can set it to only the 16hr refresh cycle, as long as you're not in a very bright room, you wouldn't be using it at full brightness anyways

Plus, I use ultra dark mode in everything, so lots of power savings and burn in mitigation

my friend has had the Alienware 32 inch ultrawide since it came out, and he abuses the HELL out of that panel. It does have 16:9 burn in, but its like 2.5 years old now, and it was also the first gen panel, with the absolute worst algos for protection

I had the same one and then returned it to get the one I have. It was cheaper and it has much better features, with the same panel

But yeah, he abuses the HELL out of his QD OLED

he has 1 monitor, and he watches 16:9 HDR 1000 content on it nonstop. No burn in protection, never refreshes it, plays games in 16:9. Its always at 100% brightness and overdriven with HDR hacks
