So you're going to strike off something like engineering because it's to you an edge case?
a6000 drivers are mostlikly more stable
No, I am saying that those things aren't considered workstation. A huge amount of people do them on consumer hardware
yet nvidia is top rn
It absolutely is
We use bigger workstation systems than most
Stop assuming
For very specific things at the high end, yes
But working in CAD doesn't need an A100 lol
its engineering
I know about the facets of Engineering, bruh
i doubt a amd gpu can do a full ass simulation
It can
well it can, but time is money
Don't assume my job
if it takes doo long
gg
If it has support, yes it can
But that comes with the *if it has support
now is it the fastest
from what ive been told the 7900xtx is pretty much on par with 3090 ti ray trace workloads, to my knowledge AMD is kind of just constantly a generation behind on raytracing
If it falls back to OpenCL/OpenGL, then they become useless compared to even an RTX2060
OpenCL is fast af on most engineering programs on AMD
felix correct me if ive said anything outlandish lol
lol
Sytan you wonder why I get pricklish around you it's cos you say the most random BS with no basis
That one is a little hard
In general games, yes. Like if you have a game with say 200 ray calcs per pixel, the 7900XTX will fall down far enough to be in line with the 3090
but when doing something like full path tracing with 600+ ray calcs per pixel, the 7900XTX will be way slower
It depends on the blend of Raster and RT together
it works? yes, is it the best? debatable
I have 1st hand experience??
Its not even debatable. If the benchmark is "It starts", then sure
What GPU do you use? I forgot
CREO is destroyed when you use AMD over Nvidia
BRO STILL 8GB, tAAKE THAT OUTTA HERE
I use 2 XTX's and a 4090 at home
dawgs got a 4090
he has multiple gpus
I would know if the program is slower
Ok, XTX is different. I didn't realize that
nice
XTX has ROCm support, which is a lot better than say a 7700XT
Yes
rocm
i have a 7700xt, rocm is still a joke on windows
i wouldnt say amd is fully ready until windows support is fully added
ROCm will make a big difference, yes. I was talking in general about AMD cards. I didn't realize youw ere meaning the 7900XTX. In that case, I agree with you @mortal grail
this feels like a tense scene in a drama
Only the 7900XTX and 7900XT have full suite ROCm support. All the other ones lack huge features and have severe slow downs, or flat out don't work
bruh
It's pretty brutal
Its not even a drama, it was a misunderstanding
wait what about the 7900GRE? its the same chip as the 7900XT
yeah, the 7900XTX absolutely shreds for some types of calculations for sure. I'm sorry I didn't understand what you were saying
Rocm support is probably good on that card aswell
I am actually not too sure
Rock EM
Ok, it has partial
doesnt have my gpu, list is no longer valid
It's also Navi 31 so it should have the same support
yep
I looked it up, it has support for ROCm, but not the HIP SDK 3316
So it has majority ROCm support
damn buying 7800xt regrets intensifies
I think they are slowly adding features to the lower Navi skews
but if you're on windows, thats useless
i see
Yes the higher end cards tend to have the support
is creo worth learning?
The XTX was incredibly humbling for me, I had these two massive ass 90 cards, then this thing comes steamrolling in at half price
For simulations and stuff, the 7900XTX specifially is a super good card. Again, I am sorry, I totally misunderstood what you were saying@mortal grail
It genuinely is good when it wlrks
Thank you
I was beginning to shake π
Can it tokyo xtreme racer at ultra settings doe?
I was 100% thinking we were talking in general about just like 7000 series, in which the lower cards are so useless for a lot of things π
but yeah, the 7900XTX is goated
Tbh yes if you want a career in like drafting or modelling, or even 3d printing, it takes a long ass time though
Theres a reason the 7900XTX is the only AMD GPU from current gen that charts on steam lmao
Like learning machine code is a right pain but if you are cluey you can overcome some of this
i mean there are some other great value cards along that line
the gre for example is half the cost of the xtx yet offers most of its benefits
I think out of all creo the worst is probably learning machining imo
It's really complicated
if you are looking at ONLY gaming, yes
The problem comes when you want to do anything else
i mean i suppose
Editing and recording are like 99% fine too
Amd encoders are trash
OBS I'd recommend at that, the issues are gone besides re live
It's like 2% worse than the competition and ALL are fine lmao
AV1 recording sucks on obs as it introduces stutter on video, radeon relive doesn't do that
I had the exact opposite experience ngl
polar opposite ah builds
Relive was clunky af for me
We have similar builds dude lmfao
shhhhh
amd seizure moment
as i was saying, my most recent videos used relive
I got relive working but my experience is awful with it
On the other hand obs was like, the easiest thing ever
AV1 at that, no green lines or other drama
never had that
Like, if you are somebody that even casually renders in blender and you have, say, a 7600XT. A 2060 will run absolute laps around it. Its that kind of stuff
if you want to branch out and do things that aren't just gaming and video recording and stuff, you will constantly run into tons of pit falls, which will discourage you to do things
For example, the 7900XTX is a very capable card, but even with latest ROCm support, its 24GB of memory is onyl equal to about 18GB on NVIDIA cause of inefficient support for FA2, and the 7900XTX is like 40% slower than a 3090 for generations as well
Thats still plenty fast to experiment, but just remember that is the 7900XTX, and the moment you drop down even just 2 cards, its like 5x worse
Old bug
I record av1 okay
Itβs useable
on probably medium settings or something
Measurable difference, buy a310
I did max lol
The one thing that always makes me laught about 7000 series is the res hardware issue on the encoders lol
Intel is just cracked tho honestly
I stutter if I do max
same here but for relive
yea that was a problem for me on OBS
No seriously. Intel needs to start taking some more risks, cause their cards have been very solid for hardware. Their drivers have been improving extremely fast as well
im curious how that'll look in the future, if amd will offer more support for workloads or keep a bigger focus towards more consumer usage
if they made a B780, I think it would actually be fantastic
Lol
the XTX encoders aren't really any faster from my understanding
Pretty sure they are all the same hardware encoder
Well something is there, I was running all of them in the end smoothly
Clunky relive sorted eventually
now you can relive the experience in better form
if intel ever takes majority in the dedicated gpu market i will combust
After trying the B580, they need work but, it's getting there, like, early RDNA 2 it almost feels like
It's got a LOT of issues if you ignore mainstream
But inside mainstream it's very good
The speed at which they are improving is incredible, which is what I am very excited for
Yeah, I either lower my games graphical settings or lower recording settings
they need to get to work on that driver overhead
Thats one of their biggest issues for sure
the latter
but man, their hardware is like objectively really damn good
That improvement from gen 1 to 2 is incredible lmao
if B580 that cracked hardware wise then B770 is something else i fear
In a couple years Celestial will likely be dailyable I reckon
And having better RT than NVIDIA is absolutely hilarious
the definition of becoming complacent
this is the same company btw that was mocked for having trash integrated graphics, people didn't believe they would make Dgpus
wow, everything is flipped
Imagine the absolute monster that Druid will be, gosh dang
I wonder how their support is for things like Blender. With that level of ray perf, that could potentially be huge for intel, especially with the B580 pro they are working on with 24GB VRAM
that could be an absolute beast of a dedicated render card for render enthusiasts
They also are sitting pretty with their new 200V chips having stupid good battery life
200vOLTS
the fantasy names give their hardware +3 Endurance on rolls
Intel has so many things that look good and yet the main part of the pie needs so much work
I just love how Intel released the B580 and was kinda sitting quiet for people to destroy them, but it was actually met with nothing but "WOAH", and then they had to be like "oh... uhm, yeah! woah is right!"
if only rebar wasn't a requirement, the demand would've been astronomical
the thing is tho it looks like theyre willing to work through that main part
To my understanding they use this to overcome a huge amount of lost time
Intel didn't seem to realize what they had, and often times actually undersold the B580. its so cool haha
wow, so thats how they caught up huh?
The Arc A310 is still like an absolute monster of a dedicated streaming card
Oh yeah 3 months ago they were discussing a grim future for arc, then last week they talk like it'll never go away? They never saw it coming dude lmfao
Afaik it helped a lot yeah
They still have some huge overhead issues tho
And games not covered by driver support don't have the long term groundwork like the other two
i see
If you open up a game not on their support list (Or rather, even not supported enough) you can get hitting with mad instability
Hitching every couple seconds
Large stutters
Wild frametimes between 20-120ms
And the gpu is going at like 100%
thats kind of just an unfortunate havent been in the game long enough
Even though it would realistically be using less than 50%
oof
once intel really sets a deep foot in im sure they can work through a lot of that
They have work to do on drivers
and if they dont ill eat my foot
intel needs time
and time isnt a friend of anyone
especially when youre playing catchup
It takes years to get the drivers going and they're only half way through
Yeah, it really reminds me of early rdna 2 days, they had great early support (Bit better than this) but new games would floor the cards
By rdna 3 most of that was worked out
Honestly, the same can for sure be said about AMD on fringe cases. Though of course thats imply just because they aren't as "perfect" as NVIDIA, and likely never will be
Nvidia isn't perfect with their drivers either
But the speed of which Intel has been closing that gaps and approaching usable is just fantastic
They just have way more experience and time spent on the drivers
Oh for sure, I was just meaning the overall comparison between them. NVIDIA is the absolute best of the 3, even if they still for sure aren't perfect. They are just the shining example
It's always faster to play catch-up but we'll have to see what Intel does after they've caught up
i hope nvidia doesnt just ignore the growth of competition and tries harder
Very true
we need a consumer win here
LMAO
I almost wonder if it's a good idea to short Nvidia lol
whoa whoa WHOA?
earthquake moment
Holy crap, all the companies are down
They delayed their release to march
LOL
Was about 5 days ago
retailers:
Oh could be trump
I was wondering if it was that
Tariffs on tech:
could be
It's probably somewhat that
im sorry but i love this image lmao
Its actually from the scene I am in
But amd also released their release date 5 days ago for 9000 series
HAHAHAHA
NVIDIAs stock absolutely crashed cause of Deepseek V3
Oh yeah nvidia nuked quantum computing
opensource FTW
Its an open source LLM from a chinese company that trained it for super small amounts of money, and it thuroughly claps OpenAI's models
Wait what
Good riddance
Uh oh, is the ai bubble bursting
The fake money disappears as fast as it appeared
No, not that
Just a new company came in and is dominating the scene
what was that about you being happy about your stocks?
Hmm
I mean
Deepseek V3 is a massive win for the masses
honestly now wouldnt be the worst time to buy in would it
Its more capable than ChatGPT4o, its uncensored, and you can run it however you want
nGreedAI betted on permanently needing endless 1000% markup AI GPUs
Seems like they might've lost the bet
Some China tech company made a big leap in the AI area
@mortal grail imagine if Jensen's next jacket is only 75k USD
So they lost some market share
Google and Meta both had leaked internal messages freaking out over how good DeepseekV3 is
Because nGreedAI lost 15% value
π
My only concern is that it's a Chinese-developed thing
They were all terrified, cause DeepseekV3 thoroughly beats their next gen models that aren't out
So it's bound to get used for bad bad things by a political party with a hammer and sickle logo
Thats honestly a given, all the big players are chinese, but a lot of them are anti-China
man, idc all information is stolen
β
Like, the creators of Command R, which was another big upset. They made a shadow cluster across china and delevoped an LLM that isn't fed Chinese propoganda, and then spread it to the chinese masses
I mean they pose as anti-Chinese while they're giving backdoors to the CCP as mandated by law
Im confused, isnt deepseek just a software model
For some anyway
It's kinda like a Zen moment for AI models
Its an LLM competitor with chat GPT4o and others thats better than them, free, open source, and can be run on anything if you have enough grunt
It's so good everyone's freaking out over it
It also costs like 1/10th the amount of money as ChatGPT if you wanna pay to use it
Because likeβ¦ wouldnβt that run on nvidia anyway?
ultra nerd
Thats not how that works
They are all transformers, which are optimized from day one
Nvidia is super in bed with the established players like OpenAI, Meta, Google and so on
So if they all lose a ton
I have used Deepseek V3. My friend has 6x A100's that he runs it on

Let's take a look at the new DeepSeek R1 chain-of-thought AI model. Not only does it beat OpenAI o1 on key benchmarks, but it's also free and open source.

https://di...
They can't buy endless GPUs and Nvidia also loses
I have used R1, its also very crazy
Deep seek
It's a domino effect really
lmfao its going CRAZY RN
True but nvidia essentially runs the entire ai industry rn, so why a new model would send nvidia stocks to the grave just puzzles me
And then you have Qwen 32B Coder which is made by Alibaba, which can run on any system with about 20GB of memory, and can nearly match GPT4o for coding
nice
No exclusivity deals
Excuse to buy Nvidia stock
NVIDIA also makes their own LLM's, and they got their ass absolutely handed to them by Deepseek, who trained their model for less than 1/100th the cost
Oh wow
It's like "Oh crap, all my buyers are losing big and the winner isn't buying from me, I also lost"
Cuz remember
Yes, that exactly
Yes but they donβt profit because if exclusivity deals alone. They are just some if the most powerful chips to power the models
Meta, Google, OpenAI are ALL delivering metric shiploads of money for their hardware
If that money tap closes cuz the big guys lost
Nvidia also loses
And all that money has been undermined by a company a mere fraction the size
EXACTLY
πΏ
Yeah, Deepseek is a big deal
lol
So it's upsetting the delicate carteling market balance
There is a much older, more "curse" heavy version of this from a huge ML engineer in the scene lmao
Idk the market reaction just makes no sense to me but whatever
By the way, I have Distills of R1 lol
beeg
The AI bros watching their life savings disappear into the stock market:
can run on an 8GB GPU and it beats OpenAI's o1 mini

the random dots of green
bubble finally popped
Though ultimately I feel like it'll end up as a big nothingburger
Someone's gonna drop a boatload of money for the algorithm and just bury it
We'll see I guess
After escaping the attempt on his life, Mr. Incredible sneaks back into Syndrome's lair to find out a dirty secret.
all red

Ask Chyna
Crypto is also down big time
too bad
Everything dowb
L
At best you get involved with a pump and dump scheme and lose everything
Kinda pointless
It was a bubble just like AI is/was a bubble
I don't think it is quite bursting
Wow guys i made $20 off of putting 600 into stocks (true story)
I don't think so because this is mainly driven by the china scare not really a disinterest in ai
Do you realise how much money, is in that above pic
There's no way an AI model alone is going to blow up the AI market
Way too much money in it already by way too big players
I'm talking global recession
if anything these companies will probably start pumping more money into it
We've lived in an inflation bubble for years
Since the beginning of covid, really
10% off half the market overnight is no small number
That is an insane amount of money
To give perspective

The GFC lost 2 trillion dollars in 2008
Today we lost 1.5 trillion
This is recession material
Ok, I got some more info guys
So, I am a professional in the AI scene, and I asked some people
Basically, the R1 Deepseek Model was trained for just about $5.8M, and it beats OpenAI's Magnum Opus o1 by a good bit on some of the hardest benchmarks
o1 was trained for a reported $600M+ on unreleased hardware at the time
Deepseek R1 was trained for 1/100th that, on OLD generation hardware
So its de-valuing the need for new NVIDIA hardware
God 18 years ago it was the housing market
Could 2025 be the tech market gfc
Good lord
10%!

Hooo boy
depends if it scales though. because all the big players aren't really interested in running old hardware but seeing how far it can go. if it scales well with newer hardware demand for general could temporarily flat line but I don't see that effecting any of the big spenders
400 billion just gone from nvidia
this is essentially an ai arms race after all. situation will constantly change and demands will constantly get higher
As if that doesn't affect them π
As if they didn't have intentions for 400 billion lmao
That is a huge amount of money
400,000 20 year retirements

Stocks went from 622 to 560 and my wallet is like 50% of what it was when i first bought

Time to buy more
lol

Gamblers mindset β οΈ
real
Apu is like 40% from when i bought, def a good time to buy
Reminds me of a certain someone ngl
Buying apple was silly but i didny think it would go down so much
im kinda surprised that meta doesn't seem to be affected at all
Thatβs barely the surface of that kinda stuff

Then thereβs stuff like πΈ link
What did he just say
If yk yk
Is my hearing aid workin
I am so lucky i bought before this year, i told so many people to buy last year and not to wait for new gpu launch π
I'm glad I did too tbh
Got a lot of people through black friday
They'll be counting their stars
Holiday season last year was honestly a huge success for a lot of people, it was nice to see
I got to enjoy a bit of it too, not much but a tad
the one mistake I made was probably not buying enough meta stock back when they did their metaverse rebranding
I don't think you can blame yourself
Is what it is
I'm glad I invested in funds in a portfolio designed to be diversified to capture entire global stock market rather than yoloing all my money for grandma
Zuckerberg was telling everyone to live in the metaverse
He actually sounded clinically insane
My uncle lost about 3mil in bitcoin with a divorce, ive seen worse
yeah it was a riskier move but nearly 600% profit in 2 years or so was pretty nice
Just saw this crapβ¦
Imagine investing 700K of grandma's legacy into intel
The lizard? Never
Why tho? Just get the fe card and itβs msrp
My foreign market fund is only down .25% so far, we'll see how my US market mutual fund is doing in a couple hours
"Just get FE" yeah like all 300 of them
Lol
XD
Wow that's actually excellent
I only completed my build around september
What parts
I put in 500 when i first invested and down like 40 which isnt that bad. Thats like i bought a cpu cooler or something
Wait, nope it shot down to .71% now
That's still excellent
My app just wasn't updating
Today is a day to watch stock
The US market fund is about 32% tech tho
Nah I meant like what specs
Oh lol mb
The closest ETF is only down 1.53%, so not too bad
π§
6 core cpu
A lot of the stuff you can ignore but everything i got for my pc
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Radeon RX 7900 GRE, Phanteks Eclipse P200A DRGB Mini ITX Tower
32gb ram
O nice
Le pc del gamΓ΅n
Looks like a good pc
Thank ya
Dell gamong
I worked my ass off for it lol
Oh god that's a throwback list
Is it that old π
I forget when we were doing p200a
That would've been like june july
I think
Maybe august?
O thatβs fairly recent
Yeah its a meld of some older and newer parts
In terms of the number of lists I vomit out of my brain it's ancient
I was impatient and just bought parts when i could afford them
And then the recommendations kept evolving
fair enough
An average of 2% drop isn't even close to recession material
It's like a moderately bad day
The case is actually probs one of the oldest things there
P200a is based
Damn visa is goated they arent even going down
I want to build a new pc cause mine stopped booting but I think a new ssd will fix
The number itself is almost meaningless, it's the percentage that's mattering
Plus their twitter got hacked
I need to put the crummy hyken in that list i forgot to
Yeah, this isn't recession material
If the GFC happened today the loss would be about 20 trillion in a day
That'll be the tariffs coming in soon
Shoulda bought them a month ago
We're not even 10% of the GFC here
The gfc loss was 2 trillion
That was the trigger
Actually if i recall correctly it mightve been you who recommended it with the itx board
The housing market was found to have a hole
The market has inflated heavily since the GFC
Felix this is so far from a recession if not even funny
This is effectively a drop in ghe bucket
There was a 10Γ inflation since 2008
Yeah my stuff is down between 10-20% but thats because they were up around that much too
Tech isn't driving a lot of employment, it isn't particularly relevant to daily life and etc
Some of my stocks simply round tripped
The housing crash mattered because it was a major component keeping people solvent
Yes it's a mind-bending amount of money
But it's a drop in ghe bucket compared to an actual crash
Those gpu are kinda selling out
apparently costco is going to switch back to coca cola in their food court
So it might be more expensive now
Was by using the equity in their homes to finance their living

Like I'm not even gonna pretend that I can comprehend 2 trillion dollars
What I can comprehend is percentages
And an average of 2.6% drop is nothing even remotely close to a recession
To give an idea, in 2024 the us government spent about 6.75 trillion, and that was a net loss
Trillion
I cant type

wasabi?
No you missed what I said
The trigger
I didn't say the recession itself
The trigger was that the housing market crashed during a time in which people were relying on funny number go up to stay solvent through home equity and banks were bundling debt as extremely secure investment assets
Yes and some 2.5 trillion dollars in subprime loans were effectively nulled
This led to a snowball effect
Yes but tech stock isn't debt
Im curious how much this will raise tensions
This part is true
But it's still a huge amount of market cap
No massive cohort is losing theirs jobs because Silicon Valley is crying, no massive cohort is declaring bankruptcy, nobody is selling assets that are going bankrupt at a degree that it massively outsizes the institution's capablility of covering
There really isn't the building blocks of even a recession much less a crisis rn
Naturally that can change, but currently it's not the case
I don't think using the S&P to call this out is correct
I'm not saying it's "recession now!" But it ought to bounce back to not technically qualify for it
30 days at 2% loss would make it worse than 2020 by that metric
The subprime mortgage crisis was such a problem because major institutions all around the world were heavily investing in extremely risky MBSes and CDOs because they were claimed to be extremely safe but were giving much higher returns than gov't securities. MBSes and CDOs were reliant on bad mortgages the housing industry had been handing out like candy to very vulnerable people who, when their mortgage payments shot up and suddenly no longer had equity to borrow from, went bankrupt and wiped those MBSes and CDOs off the map
I'm aware of how the gfc went
They were labelling bottom tier throwaways with great mortgages and bundling all of it as "AAA"
I am well aware how that part works you guys are just misunderstanding panic to absolutes

You also need to understand my country teeters the edge of recession rn
We have been effectively living on that knife's edge if not for immigration injecting into the economy from foreign investment
I doubt Australia's economic life depends on AI bro company stocks
I'm quite aware 1 crash alone doesn't count as a recession, it's what comes after
My man, I live in the US, it has been on the verge of a recession for years now. Tech crashing isn't going to cause it
Again, what comes after
Recession is basically inevitable worldwide by now
It's been such a hot boom that it's in no way sustainable
Things will slow down, recessions will come
There's always a sort of ebb and flow
What will cause it is the next quarterly revenue reports when companies have to admit that their production is at catastrophic lows because a huge sector of our workforce is too scared to work and there are random tariffs being thrown around
Wasnβt thereβs already a recession
Definition was changed
There was a COVID recession
So TECHNICALLY no
We bounced back and went into overdrive
IIRC Biden admin changed the definition of a recession to avoid having one under their leadership and just kicked the can down the road
But it's inevitably going to arrive
The question is when and how hard
No you know what none of the graphs are good that I saved cos every damn accountant likes making at least 7 graphs a day
Lol
Gdi
Global display index
Uh, no, that isn't something the US government is capable of doing, that was misinfo
It was something about some statistician office of the federal government being instructed to determine a recession different to before allegedly
I only remember the headline tbf
It just seemed wack
Like
Cost of living is so high none of that matters
Iirc what happened was that the White House published a blog post saying that the two quarters thing is not what the NEBR uses to define a recession
NGL it doesn't matter
The price of bread and gas is more important for 99% of people than what quarter you calculate recessions by
Here, so we can bury that hatchet
If you can't afford food how are you gonna buy goods that aren't absolutely necessary
Politics is π
Like
I'm more mad at the price of fish at the store than the price of a 5090
Very true
Sure I can technically live without fish
God I hate modern day politics
But it's the cheapest type of meat available
So if fish gets too expensive
My ass ain't getting protein that week
And I'm not even old enough to know what normal politics look like... at least in this country
Wen egg prices go down.
Stares at egg company's 20% profit margin and bird flu
Can I eat it

Wat
..........
Lol
Companies profit margins and ceos salaries are the main reason we can't afford food
Hi alec
Cal-Maine's profit margins shot up from 11% in February of 2024 to something like 20.5% in November of 24
R u pepe le pew or smthn
Let's look at any grocery companies profit margins since 2018, and notice how they changed during and after covid
REAL
This world is so stupid
Supermarkets are drowning in cash nowadays
Oui
The gross profit margin in the food processing industry is 32% rn iirc
It's built against hopes
Disgusting
I don't even think food should be a source of profit, let alone 32%
The pandemic and inflation have been too good of an excuse
This is exactly my sentiment
Companies have no reason to drop prices
I mean they don't care about people going hungry
If basic necessities went down then all over the world would self regulate so quickly
they should get fined for overpricing food
Needs regulation that isn't coming unfortunately
stonks
We almost had it...
Almost
either lower profits or face huge fines
Why is something so necessary to life utilized against us? They would never do that cough insurance cough healthcare cough literally anything
Some 60% of all food made in the US gets thrown out
the shooting of the ceo of united healthcare revealed a lot of the nasty stuff
We could feed the homeless and hungry with our countries food waste from restaurants alone
Yet about 15% of US households have food insecurity
Math aint mathing
WHAT I FIND HILARIOUS is when people say this is socialism, or that free college would be, or free Healthcare
Many restaurants do that
People care, but individuals can't influence companies
Revealed stuff we all knew anyway
fair
Food deserts exist in a country that throws out 60% of the food it makes
Free health care no but free college is close to it
Meanwhile the police, firefighters, public education, etc are all socialised services
Like college isnβt required and not everyone does that. Itβs not even βfreeβ. It comes out from somewhere
Because in the US that word has been turned into something it isn't
Free Healthcare is one of the biggest scams out there, great on paper, terrible in practice. I ain't trynna wait 6 months for a life changing surgery
Same with the terms Marxism and communism
This is already very political tbf π
at least we all agree on something
No one's arguing so I don't see any issues
so it ain't too bad
Free healthcare doesnβt mean communism lol
It can work, and there are examples of it working, but it's kinda impossible to implement in the US right now
No ones arguing because we're all the ones facing the dark side of the moon
Wait whatttttt
?
Whoa
You can just grow your own food
Sarcasm
Free money tbh
Communism is when no phone
Its a must, but to the ones who can afford it make others unable to
In a world in which healthcare is finite somebody is going to either miss out or wait. A good healthcare system says that need dictates order of service. Ours says whoever can afford it gets it and everyone else dies
Itβs not exactly like that, itβs just you end up getting in debt for it
i hate the pandemic being used as an excuse for inflation
Yes
It literally is. Did u forget the money printer fiasco
I find it ironic how much power money grants you in a country thats meant to be free, for youre only free if you hold asset or influence
They were literally printing bills and giving out stim cheques
And tons of businesses shutting down
Those who can afford to go into debt can get it. The rest don't get any and then die due to untreated complications and/or progressively worsening health issues that result in untreatable conditions
But the numbers of that get way overblown when comparing it to the total money supply
Rich blokes are just keeping their pigs fed at this point, after all they cant eat if they have nobody to take from
Technically you donβt have to pay it but like itβs complicated
If you can't afford to go into debt to go to the doctor's to get a small mysterious lump on your body checked, a couple years later you die of cancer
Maybe this is the meta
Maybe WE become the pigs
π½
And thats unfortunately the sad truth. Take advantage of others, or get taken advantage of
Bro they're always printing bills lmao
Yh just not as much
They should be printing snouts for what we're doing next π½
Porky pig for president
Inflation during covid has much much more to do with supply chain disruptions than stimulus checks
The economy can bare stimulus checks. They are used at times of financial hardship to boost demand and maintain market conditions
The smartest pig wins π½
U2's very own Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr's version performed in 1996.
In 1996, two members of U2, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr., remade the Mission Impossible theme track. They made two versions of the song: the main one and another called "Mission Accomplished." The main version played during the end credits. Unlike the original, mos...
I'm goin in
I love how we're all saying this not because we dont think the other people here dont know how corrupt the economy is, but because we know everyone else knows it

Felix is full pig mode god damn
The economy would've been a lot worse if you didn't have people getting a check in the mail during a time they were forced to give up a portion of their income to continue to buy food, pay rent, pay bills and etc. Those instances would easily be absorbed by the economy. The problem is that there were numerous supply shocks that companies took advantage of to massively increase their profit margins
"covid ruined us pls let us steal more :("
Yall ever read 1984?
George orwell
It's being banned in the US, id read it while you still can
What thats being banned??
Wtf
I have in school
Wait what why's that being banned
Source?
I mean its a very commonly banned book in schools
I saw a list of books being banned a few days ago and it was on it, let me see
I've heard about it being banned from school libraries but not being banned in general
Maybe it was just banned from school curriculums or is on a metaphorical list they want banned
School libraries (particularly conservative/religious) ban stuff all the time
There's a huge list of "controversial" books being banned in school libraries for little reason rn
Why are books being banned in US
Oh no
I imagine they are being banned from schools because it has sexual content in it iirc
And totally not for the explanations of dictatorships
Yeah they said it could lead to people being βradicalisedβ π
I may not have read 1984 but I sure know what is about
I can't wait for us to start burning fahrenheit 451
And it ain't good
Not super detailed but
1984 has been banned so many times in the past, ain't anything new
Literally is the most banned book in the US
Yeah
If to kill a mockingbird gets banned im gonna lose hope
Does banning even do anything at that point lmao
I MEAN
He doesn't know
Already has been banned in so many places too lol
OINK OINK
Moreso just tells us what the people in charge of the government want
Lol ik, i meant in the way bacca interpreted it
"Banning" a book usually just mean it isn't allowed to be in a school curriculum in wherever it get banned
If someone reads 1984 and declares it un American, they don't have any media literacy
Nothing stopping you from buying it and reading it
That's so weird to me
Currently being removed from public libraries though
Like why announce it
This
The funniest part is when those same schools are made to start the banning process for the Bible is that they intervene and undo any bans or banning procedure related
Also, theres sailing the 7 seas
But yes there's nothing stopping you from personally owning it
Books being banned is much more than just schools. It's anything state or federal affiliated
Yeah forgot libraries existed ngl
Hypocrisy, ban what you don't want and disagree with
And why tf are we taking books out of schools to put THE BIBLE into them
Catholic school exists for a reason
Always has been
If i had a god damn Bible study class in school I would have failed just to make a point
Studying scripture my ass
I did but i went to christian private schools as a kid lol
Now im entirely atheist
β€οΈ
I had a really nice library in my elementary school, I would hate for many of the books in there to be removed
I was raised jewish and I still identify as Jewish culturally and ethnically, but me too

A lot came from English common law and all
I mean originally if you trace them back
I see you too are a man of culture
And still they are different
DLSS overrides :o
Oh that's great
Rare apple w
Now if only we could get 200 million people to read it
I prefer my books to be made of paper not apples

I got funny latency inducing idea, two gpus, both died half the pixels in the screen
The tearing would be awful
aww
You can still snag the CP2077 DLSS4 .dll files and swap them into games
either manually or with a 3rd party program

good night
Don't worry it me so good morning is correct
goodnight ghosty
I feel dizzy with my glasses rn
do you normally not wear glasses ?
3 weeks often? or just on like weekends or something
oh that sucks, i had to stop wearing my glasses and just stick to full time contacts cause my nose piercings force my nosepads higher and i just get headaches
3 weeks is a little over the typical adjustment period for new prescriptions
Optometrist 343
if it continues to cause issues, go to your optician to ask
You actually sound like an scp when I say this
did your eyesight get really bad? or was it like a small change
He is an SCP, wdym?
I wear them most the time
Unless Iβm like sleeping, or on my pc
Other than that they on my fsce
I like being able to see far
I need a nap
yeah, unless you have some really weird prescription, i believe the general adjustment period is around 2 weeks or so, depending on how big the change is
i want to learn BLENDER π
rip
buy a blender
if it's only like a degree, probably less than a week
look at the manual
For me their was only a change from how close I can see
I need to get new glasses mine have so many scratches
progressive lenses?
or maybe I should use contacts more often
My old perspection made it hard to see close
So looking at my pc screens was super hard
hmm
New one, I can see but itβs not very clear compared to taking them off
nah I don't do progressives anymore. very frustrating when in mixed conditions as photographer
Me? Idk what I have
you ask everyone
i have trouble seeing far, but i dont wear glasses nor contacts
Iβm near sites, I canβt see far

I canβt see in the dark well so I need them for driving
yeah i wouldnt say i'm a big fan of them considering that you have to look in different locations of your lenses
i dont need progressives but i dont like (the concept of) needing to look in certain parts in order to see properly
I wish mines let me see my pc screen well
much rather have 2 pairs; reading and single vision myopia glasses
yeah that why I got second pair of prescription sunglasses
antiglare is nice
i've been thinking of getting those uv reactive coatings or whatever on my glasses, though idk if they work well enough
but if it involves reading street sign? nope
my mom has it, doesnt work well walking into places
so for the first few mins u cant see
i think its more like seconds
all i know is,. glasses make my vision not blurry lel
going from 720p too 4k
on the same display
ooo its like applying good intergerscaling
good way to put it
oh yeah do you switch between 2 prescriptions or do you just have one prescription for both glasses
just one
ok
I get a lot of glare from my glasses. very hard to watch a bright movie in a dark room
i be waring them all day in school, ill take them off for breaks here and their tho
they feel wayy better than when i first got them, i can tollerate them longer
that makes it a little bit more strange that you still have headaches after 3 weeks, i would definitely recommend going to an optician to make sure that your prescription is right, and your lens is set right for your pd
idk how they are in the US, but verifying that your glasses are correct shouldnt cost anything
they aint even cover this perscription π we had to pay out of pocket
as long as you take it to your original optician
those people
what prob happed was when they asked me which on elooks clearer and both looked clear kek~4
I mean usually they at least check to make sure it is a proper prescription
they said its normal to haev probelms seeing big displays in my face
is that fact or cap
depends on your prescription ig
im tuned for near sight, so seeing far
im still mad my first pair broke within 5 months π 4 months of no glassse where painful until i got these ones
π
insurance wanted $200 to replace a single lense.. while both my new pair where $200 toghter....
make that make sense
FOUR LESNES technecily.. COST LESS THAT ONE
HOW??
not like u can make them in bulk
you basically have to enter a boxing match with insurance to get anything out of them no matter your coverage
do you use united healthcare frfr
depose?
ironically it is a real word
