I had to go way further into skatterbenchers guide but the FCLK PLL and UMCCLK PLL run at completely different independent clock ratios

This means although they run off the same SOC PLL base clock, they're essentially in independence

This is where the claim "FCLK is permanently desynced" is substantiated

So "syncing" them, can create the effect of potentially improving the bandwidth rate as you alleviate a transmission bottleneck (Or for better word, bias) creating a smoother data throughput

But due to the way they've microcoded this architecture, the penalties in running out of clock are alleviated and by running at the most ideal FCLK rate independent of the UCLK and MCLK, you overcome a different penalty presented from the FCLK creating, what I had initially observed playing with this chip, and apparently also BZ noticed after combing a bunch of his videos I haven't seen for a while, sort of like ECC behaviour

It will error, I want to say like, the way GDDR6X kind of errors? and will retransmit the data again, and suffer a performance hit. I tested this for FCLK between 2200 and all the way down to 2000, and saw it happening myself. Did IMC dependent tests and the data rate would suffer a degraded performance

Up until a point where the FCLK is so unstable you essentially boot windows as if it's on like a Celeron and hard drive from 1999

So really the best way to say it is the FCLK will run out of sync at it's fastest manual or most comfortable trained rate. Any implications to this that give the impression of syncing are not substantiated and FCLK is almost completely independent. Aeryn is a great source for AM5, and he demonstrated using UCLK = 1/2MCLK = FCLK can give a benefit, but his sample size is not strong enough to officiate this for all AM5 @modern imp
