I have this case, but my computer was making the loudest sounds ever and I just let it go... Now I decided to investigate 😄 and the bottom fan is making loud noise (its likely hitting something).

This entire time I went through a super rigorous process of cleaning all CUDA, python, and conda off of my PC

I purged everything, reinstalled everything, linked everything

It did not fix any of my issues. However

actually, its two of the fans (of three)... one is fine and then, random timig, starts making sounds...
I have the case for 5 years, do you think its time to change the fans?

We did end up finding out that the lack of compiling issue was due to the fact that the developers who made the requirement files for their tools lazily put in the wrong version of torch compiler. Which meant that the version of torch that installed was non-CUDA compiled.

Their very own starting scripts check if your torch version is compiled with CUDA, and if it is not it will then set your CUDA home val to none. Which is what was causing the not set error

So because they cut corners and put in the wrong version that automatically downloads, and then instead of telling you that you have the wrong version, they chose to tell you that you didn't have CUDA installed at all, they have caused me a goddamn nightmare for months

Also, we don't know what causes the not being able to see the DLL error, however now that I can build my own wheels, building my own wheels and installing them at the location that is seeing there is no DLL fixes it

And now, we just have to figure out why everything is compiling like I'm on a one core abacus

My PC has been compiling flash attention to for over 30 minutes now, and it's still going. My friend with a decently faster but not monumentally so CPU finished in about 1 minute and 10 seconds

A quick question pls... My pc was MEGA loud, I figured it was one of the case's front fans and sometimes top fan. So I bought new ones from amazon and replaced (this time without RGB, it was getting on my nerves). And the sound is gone. BUT

Later there was more sound, but from a different side of my computer 😂 ... It seems that sometimes, my top fans make sounds... The problem is, these fans are the ones that are attached to these "tubes" and the thing that cools CPU lol.
What would be the most optimal scenario please? 😦

The "buncha shi" you're seeing is the BIOS menu. You can change settings for essential components such as your CPU and RAM, and BIOS helps initialize hardware and boot your system into your operating system 🙂

It really depends on use case

for purely gaming? yes an itx build would be better while still being compact enough to move around

but if you use your computer as a work device (unless you work from home)

suddenly the portability can be very handy

idk if they've gotten better but my gaming laptop and every other one I tried were not that great. like yeah you technically could use it on the go, but for one I had to have it plugged in or the computer ran like crap. I used mine for school so I couldn't always plug it in in classes. The performance just drops to that of one of those old notebook laptops that you could buy for like 50 bucks. And after a year, even with it plugged in the performance felt bad. Tried prioritizing the iGPU as well as a lot of other things while not gaming and it just never felt right.
