The name of the alarm will be something like "set for morning" and the others will be named "temporary"

Idk too much about sony systems but between those 2 one of the biggest factors I see is that the a6600 has IBIS which is useful for handheld still shooting with a lens that doesn’t have stabilization. Im not sure what they are shooting but for general purpose a range between 20-50mm would probably work nicely. Because they are APSC cameras you multiply the focal length by ~1.5x to get the equivalent focal length it would be vs full frame. So like a 50mm would be about 70mm which can be a bit tight for group photos.

It just so happens I was shopping for a 1k system for someone. Some of the models I have come across are the Nikon z50 / zfc, Fuji x100v, canon m50 or whatever the modern equivalent is, etc.
the autofocus won’t be as good as sony but the colors on the nikon and fuji especially look nice. That said those are more for travel/street photography. Im not sure what they are looking to do.

Ahh, I might say look at some of the fuji or canons then. People really like those for video and some canons are compatible with that magic lantern custom firmware.
Nikon can work for video especially if you are using external recorder in prores raw but it sounds like they are not at that point.

I don’t consider AF a selling point in cinema since majority of video work is done in MF.

Generally speaking I say pick a system and stick to it. I would say take a look at magic lantern and their compatible cameras, otherwise the sony actually might be the way to go If you planned on eventually upgrading to a fx30, fx6, or something like that so you not rebuying lenses again
