nvm, i found an MSI A78 motherboard that lists explicit support for A series PRO APUs

so yeah, they should be cross compatible

MSI A78M-E35 explicitly supports both A8-7600 and A8 PRO-7600B

also, the A8 PRO-7600B doesn't have any markings that indicates it's a PRO chip

looks the same as what you have

so you probably have the A8 PRO-7600B which the pc lists explicit support for

most likely the cpu just died

I'm just playing them w/o supporting Nintendo. I bought an emulator completely unaffiliated to them to play through the og pokemon games
