and LED allows longer life
an asus tuf at my budget
I don't trust Asus
oh?
They are only good at one thing: motherboards
ViewSonic, LG, and AOC have been making monitors since the CRT days
That's how you know they are quality
good thing my mobo is Asus Tuf A520m
Asus and Acer only recently started making monitors
So yeah
ViewSonic, LG, and AOC are much much more reliable
Experience your games like never before with this 24" ASUS Full HD gaming monitor. Equipped with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, a blazing fast 165Hz refresh rate, and 0.5ms response time, it displays smooth, fluid visuals in life-like detail. It boasts an adjustable ergonomic stand and ASUS Eye Care technology to ensure a comfortable viewing experience.
much appreciated
This has 4.1 stars
And LOOK how many people bought the ViewSonic compared to the Asus
1200 people bought the ViewSonic and the ratings are at 4.7 stars
44 people bought the Asus and it only got 4.1 stars
So there's proof
ViewSonic, LG, and AOC are the only monitor companies I trust
Gigabyte is also really good
Here is another Asus:
1500 have reviewed and it only has 4 stars
Versus 1200 and 4.7
ViewSonic just has the better ratio
@gray crescent
Therefore I think you should buy this:
The 24 inch
yes
whats the best and cheapest 240 hz monitor
It's slightly pricier but you get the LED display instead of LED
Read the conversation above
And you will find out what brands to choose form LMAO
@keen crater
1080p?
yes
Read the conversation above
It will tell you what reliable brands there are
i currently have 2 144 acer monitors
And hows that working for you?
its going ok just wanna take full advantage of the frames im getting
And this proves my point
Just ok
Viewsonic, LG, and AOC will make it great LOL
@keen crater What size and price?
24 inch and under 300 if possible
should it go on sale soon
No but it should be cheaper
And it should be sold by Amazon
I think the seller is 3rd party
I never trust 3rd party
its 420 bucks
benq and dell also are fantastic
I bought a Dell Inspiron 5000 14 2 in 1 with the i5-1135G7 which literally came out like 3 months ago and they shipped it to me with a bad screen ribbon
So everytime I turned it on it literally went into seizure mode
Dell just as TERRIBLE quality control
oh consumer
They are such a big company they can't control anything
everyones consumer stuff is bad
Therefore their quality suffers
No but this was a 800 dollar laptop
And they gave me S H I T
so yeah
have you considered that was because it was a human on the other end?
Yeah it was a QC issue with Dell
They are just such a big company
yeah idk the inspiron brand in general is kinda known for that
dell emc is fantastic though
@keen crater This monitor is good but it has a 4ms response time so that kinda sucks:
Yeah
Anyways
I go no
now
BYE!!!
Anyone know of any good monitor stands to save desk space for 3 32" monitors?
Anyone know a good 144hz monitor around $200?
yo any idea why the usb hub on monitor only works when i turn off the monitor?
that is weird
i used to just use it to charge my phone, didn't have the type b to pc plugged in
wanted to link the type b to pc then it works in reverse now
im using the aoc g2460pf
any suggestions for a 4k 60hz monitor for under 250
That's a solid display
wowowow ty
Guys the problem with gigabyte G32QC monitor where there is a line that doesn't light did they fix it?
my monitor says its a 144hz monitor on order but when i click button behind the screen, it says 60hz
how do i do it
i cant get to the far right
where it says 60hz
i mean fps column
i can only get to that last one in the box from 100 to off
Windows display options
Advanced display options iirc
then monitor then 144 hz
thanks!!!!
no wonder cod wasnt as crazy as i expect it
btw one of my fans on my td 500 mesh case stopped working...
ima restart pc hope thats a one time thing
Connector might've came loose
@visual pilot welp now time to restart
cuz it lights up
everythn is workin
now comes the test
now they all spinnin
@visual pilot i cant get my wired headphones to work with a mic
no headphone jack works on top of the case or the back of the case
i can hear things but nothing comes out from me
they need price range
screen size
hello guys
hi
can some1 help me with 240hz monitors?
nope
ok
sure thing
oh you picachuuuuuu
hahahha
AORUS FI25F Gaming Monitor
should i go for it ?
aorus have 2 monitors for 240hz
AORUS KD25F Gaming Monitor
ughhh so frustrating, i cant get my fkn mic to work on my wired 3.5m earbud port
it is a 2 in 1 headphone jack
Hello
has any one else seen the 24 USD 240hz monitor in newegg?
is it real?
or if I buy it will I recieve a picture (scam)
https://www.newegg.com/dark-gray-red-asus-rog-strix-xg-series-xg258q-24-5/p/N82E16824236851?Item=9SIA8N27937709&Description=240hz monitor&cm_re=240hz_monitor-_-24-236-851-_-Product&quicklink=true
thats the link
i live in another country, so I use an external shipping company that imports products from the US and in that shipping comany says that it is available
soooo.....
I don't know
IT SEEMS SO TEMPTING!!!!
those things cost like 300+ usually
I would get an Asus, Alienware or a BenQ Zowie
porb an Asus
since they claim some of their 240hz monitor can get up to a 0,4-0,5 ms response time

model beats brand
Is IPS bleeding still a problem in 2020?
Planning to buy a monitor lol
Currently eyeing for 1080p 144hz 24inch or 27inch
What do you guys think of the ips vs tn panel for gaming?
Im planning to get the https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/TUF-GAMING-VG259QM/
If you really like 1080 that seems good
Is IPS the same as Tn panel now in terms of input lag
Oh baby
Ips can get as low as tn, yes
Response times in the 1ms range are what the popular ips do
is the m27q a good monitor
Yes
Any recommendations for ultrawide 1440p monitors (34"-38")?
I'm a VA fan boy.
Good 200-250 dollar monitor? (I need an upgrade.)
ok thanks
I have that monitor and I love it. It was well worth the money
ripppp
Any cheap 1440p 120GHz monitors?
how cheap?
Can you guys give me recommendation which one should i get Alienware AW2521HF or the Asus Tuf VG259QM both 240hz ips monitor?
alienware is 😍😍😍 but it is very expensive for being tn,the Asus can be over clocked to 280hz and ips so idk
for what are u using the monitor ?
LG 34GP83A-B It's the same monitor as the GN850 but sold as a $200 cheaper Amazon exclusive.
Does anyone think that Nano IPS is worth $120 more than regular IPS?
Don’t most displays use NanoIPS now
idrc about it, if you want to talk about nano ips, might as well bring up Gigabyte's Super speed IPS, whatever that is
It's IPS, it has good colors, that's what matters.
Can you guys give me recommendation which one should i get from Alienware AW2521HF, MSI MAG251RX , Asus Tuf VG259QM and Acer Predator XB253q all IPS Monitor
i wouldn’t know- haven’t heard much other then from the Alienware
I don't think tahz ever is. I think they'll be stuck forever in monitor indecision until the next generation of stuff
:p
I would cross off XB253q to start off
VG295qm prob, but don't have good data on mag251rx
Yeah, so hard to decide
The tuf
other specs
Such as?
iirc OLED can have faster response time and refresh rates than QLED can
But for gaming, refresh rate and pixel response time
also blur/overshoot but that's harder to quantify
Don’t most higher end models have far less blur and overshoot?
So the Asus tuf still standa out?
what
@orchid pagoda it's the best from review data
the only possible competitor is the MAG251RX, since there's not great data on it
Honestly I’m debating between LG’s CX series and a few QLED tv’s
Mainly the Q90T 55 inch and LG CX 48 inch
So for the price point this looks like a solid deal from what I've seen: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YGZL8XF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
or should I hold out a bit longer and see if any other deals drop?
meh
lemme pull up M27q
@cobalt dagger 330$ right now for slightly better specs
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824012018
:)
I guess my last question would be about g-sync. The LG one had it and the M27q has FreeSync. Should I just ignore the g-sync despite having a nvidia card? A lot of what I've read says freesync will work just as well.
Freesync means it'll be G-Sync compatible, and both monitors are G-Sync compatible
Actual G-Sync monitors are expensive as heck, since actual G-Sync certification means they specifically tested it, and it comes with a G-Sync chip in the monitor
Awesome done and done. Thank you again!
Freesync will USUALLY work with gsync.
Actual gsync adds like 200 bucks to a monitor.
If the freesync has been tested to work with the base level of gsync functions it will say gsync compatible. If it doesn't say that it most likely will work with gsync but may not
Aight
LG CX 48 inch or the Q90T as a main display?
Hi again, question about the ips monitor so just get the ASUS VG259qm?
From the data we have, you should probably go for it.
All 3 of those monitor crossing out the acer, are top 1080p 240hz ips monitors, its up to you to decide which functionality you need and your hardware specs.
Also you'd be playing the ips glow lottery so you can look up your chances per monitor.
Dell s3220dgf

I do no trust Asus lol
I think LG, ViewSonic, AOC, and Gigabyte share much more reliable options
BenQ is good too
The Asus overall is better but I think ViewSonic in general gives you more value and reliability
But if the reviews on the Asus is solid then it's good too
Model matters more than brand this gen imo
I usually choose my monitors based off my pc’s, so I suppose the basic specs that I intend are
5800X
32gb 4000mhzCL15
3090 or 3080ti (if it ever actually exists)
Ahhhh
Wrong person
Lol
Ok then you’re on the right track
But you’ll have to be pretty far from the tv lol
But if that’s what you want the go CX
is there a 240hz refresh rate 4k resolution monitor that exists
Even then, 4k240hz is the definition of Redundant Redundancy
144hz is far more then enough for any resolution, but for 4K it’s the sweet spot rn
There’s not many games that can run at 4K with High/Ultra settings at anything greater then around 130-150fps
I say save your bread, spend it on something else or just don’t spend it at all
I recently purchase an ASUS k571LI-PB71 computer and am not sure how to connect to duel monitors?
ok
32 inch gaming monitor too big for FPS? looking into upgrading my 24" 1080p 144hz AOC but cant decide between 32 or 27 inch 16:9. Not really a fan of 21:9 for gaming. Any thoughts?
Hey I have a question, I have been getting some problems with my monitor. It’s the Asus VG248QE and I have been getting lines when I switch to 144hz. I’m not sure how to fix it. If you have some suggestions DM me and if you’d like I’ll send you a picture.
What's some good 27" 1440p 144Hz Curved Monitors, the curve being preferably 1800 Deep Curve to match my other curved 1080p 60Hz monitor?
27-32 is generally considered the sweet spot for the average gamer, you should be fine
What’s your ideal budget range?
Well probably not above £300 but ideally less than that.
Also if it has G-Sync then that's even better.
alright so euros
Lemme translate into freedom units
Ok so like
$370
Obviously the LG 850 comes to mind but eh
G34WQC might work for you
can reccomendations for a pcvr headset in the 400- 500 dollar rang
e
i was thinking rift s
Flat or curved ultrawide?
I was thinking about the LG 34WN80C-B 34-Inch
Hello! Can someone recommend a camera for an LG 49” display?
Neither of them are 27”, They need to be 27” please. There any alternatives?
Any good monitors that would go well with this setup? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/N3K7Cz
(not looking for overly expensive ones)
@rain rover odd question but
Why wouldn’t you get a 2060 Super? It’s only $30 more then the 1660 Super
Ik it’s not the build channel, but kinda curious nonetheless
@dry badger probably because 2060s are really overpriced right now
That computer only had one monitor output naturally.
You have a few options. You could try a splitter on your display port and windows should be able to extend across both monitors. You can use a hub or a docking station comparable with your computer that had multiple video outputs.
What kind of graphical increase would I see if I got a 2060 opposed to a 1660
@dry badger
Usually 10-30 FPS difference
Jeez
Plus RTX, DLSS etc
Would it compliment the ryzen 5 3600 more?
Definitely
Lemme look at your list rq
It turns out I have been horribly misled by the google algorithm
Rip
Although I am finding some 1660ti’s cheaper or slightly more expensive
Better than the super right?
How much of a difference
It gets you closer to 60 FPS, if it makes you comfortable
I’m a picky mf-er so anything below 45 feels a bit risque but eh, you do you
All right
Hi I'm looking for a monitor recommendation mainly for gaming
@balmy robin what's the budget?
$300 max
what GPU?
I have a gtx 1080
not gonna go too fancy to start off then @balmy robin
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GYFQD6L
Wouldn't it be better if it had g sync?
https://us.aoc.com/en/gaming-monitors/cq27g2 <<<this is my monitor, i bought it for my pc build later on when things restock, but for now i plugged it into my laptop (basic intel hd 620 graphics). I play my games thru Geforce Now and i notice a lot of lag all of a sudden. It is plugged in via the HDMI cable the monitor came with, and the monitor has 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, so im guessing the cable is HDMI 2.0 too. When i go into intels graphic command center, their is no option for 144hz either, only 60hz, even though the command center says the display supports 144hz...any idea whats up?
Idk the motherboard but this is the system info. It’s a basic Lenovo laptop
@maiden wedge
lenovo ideapad s340-14WL @maiden wedge
np
yup thats exactly it
so do you know what the issue may be?
ohhh okay thanks
kk
ok then...i was thinking to maybe buy another hdmi 2.0 cable and see if it would work, because they didnt specify if the monitor came with a HDMI 1.4 cable or 2.0 cable
oh so the actual laptop might be the issue eh?
its honestly weird cus every resolution is capped at 60hz for me
Ok so I changed the resolution to 1080p and I can get 120hz now
Weird
Yeah it’s okay I can live with this for now until I build my pc with a 3060ti
Thanks for the help tho man I really appreciate it
You too!
hello
is there a way to run a slideshow for backgrounds but have the image be the same on both monitors and change in unison
???
@wary barn look in the stardock product catalogue, sounds like something they would have the tool for
cool so its not something windows would do then
not stock, at least not that i am aware of @wary barn
i found a bad solution since i dont have the same resolution monitors but tile works
kk
any good tn panel monitors 144hz
y
y tn
whatever
ty
Thanks!
did u just say tn looked nice?
are u lacking of intelligence
thats the WORST looking one, but it preforms the best
Is there any good curved monitors with the “eye protection” feature?
Can you recommend any IPS 240hz monitor 1080p?
whats a good second monitor?
this looks good and doesnt break the bank, and has the thin bezels I like in a a second monitor
thats whaat i was looking into, thanks
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1539791-REG/msi_24_optix_g241_gaming.html
Thoughts on this monitor?
Buy MSI Optix G241 23.8" 16:9 144Hz FreeSync IPS eSports Gaming Monitor featuring In-Plane Switching (IPS) Panel, DisplayPort | HDMI Inputs, 1920 x 1080 Full HD Resolution, 1000:1 Static Contrast Ratio, 250 cd/m² Brightness, 1 ms Response Time, 144 Hz Refresh Rate, 16.7 Million Colors. Review MSI G241
looks great
Gsync unneeded
How often is the signal you're generating going to be over 200hz
I believe if the signal you generate is under your monitors refresh rate, gsync prevents tearing/stuttering. If the signal you generate is over your monitors refresh rate, gsync doesn't do much and you might get tearing. Vsync would help get rid of the tearing but would cause slight input delay.
Many people disable vsync in games but use nvidia control panel to set this to use gsync under the monitors refresh rate and vsync over it
If I recall correctly
The reccomended G sync settings is G sync in control panel, ultra low latency mode, and a frame cap via control panel of 3hz below refresh rate
From doing this thing a while ago
https://blurbusters.com/gsync/gsync101-input-lag-tests-and-settings/14/

Would a LG Ultragear 27GL83A-B 27" 1440p be a good pair with a 27" 1800R curve on the left? Only asking cause I want a good monitor that's curved to compliment my other left monitor but can't really find one so will probably settle with a flat one. Just wanna know if it's a good pair.
I guess it depends on the amount of space you have on your desk. I have a curved as my main, and a flat on the right, and it can be quite difficult ti fit them properly without taking too much space, but my space is limited, mostly so that might just be a "me" issue
Yea atm I have two curved monitors then one flat at the top.
27".
Wanna upgrade from 1080p 60Hz.
Looking at that LG one but idk.
What are you unsure about?
Don't know which monitors are better than others.
wow
i got my m27q like an hour ago
its sooooo much better than the aoc g2260vwq6 i was using
dat is good
wow
it has a big issue
the headphone plug goes in too far or something
i had to fiddle with the cable which i normally never have to do to get it to properly do audio
anyone know any cheap monitors that i can use as a vertical monitor ?(1920x1080)
anyone know any monitors that has 1920x1080, 144hz, 1ms, ips display and that is between $200-$250?
you can prob find one with just a quick search dog
ok
Bump
?
I recently bought the 27GN850-B over blackfriday. Building my PC in a few weeks, can't wait
Im looking for a good portable external monitor for the Mac-book Air rose gold. any suggestions? must be small enough to fit a carry on bag and requires little to no extra power cables.
Please ping-reply
what is one of the cheapest but still good 144hz monitor?
so what does good mean to you? you ok with tn or want the color of ips? what response speed, what resolution, what size
there are some cheap 144hz VA panels in the 130-160 range
the cheapest would be a 1080p monitor at like 24 inch that could still be considered "good"
1ms 24 inch to 27 inch 1080p
viotek and pixio have some good cheap ones
k
viewsonic also

true
any recommendations for cheap yet decent 144hz monitors?
i only use 1080p too if that helps
look directly above you
oh lmao

ye
getting 2 asus g11cd i5-6400 1060 6gb towers off my dad for 500 for one and that one comes with a htc vive set and the other is for 350 so wanted to find a decent monitor for it
i can hear them screaming rn
and i already know i gotta change the mobo too
at that point
shouldve seen em when i first booted them up at my dads. cpu usage was over the roof and that was with a ssd installed
eh ones going to my girlfriend and ima sell what parts i scrap
or usem for a minecraft server tower build
ye but its just her and i and we live together so itd be cheaper
i have a g27q and was wondering if anyone knows how i can make is so i can actually edit the contrast and picture settings its all locked rn
i am using display port and nothing else is connected to the computer but its still locked so is black equalizer and other stuff
nvm it was hdr that was locking all those settings
hi all
could someone pls help me a stand for my samsung model s34e790c
which one would fit? i am looking for something that will fit above the samsung g9 49inc
How do i know if i should use vsync or free sync? Does it matter which gpu and monitor im using?
Hi is it possible to fix a monitor with a cracked screen on it or get the screen replaced
Use freesync (not vsync) when the fps your computer generates is under the monitors refresh rate. Use vsync over. Usually your video card program will have a way to have them set up like this
@maiden wedge iyou can get the screen replaced and i dont think you can fix the crack in it tho
you can replace the panel yeah
ips is cute
Is this an issue only with the IPS Ultragears? Or in general with IPS monitors.
I see..you never had an issue with the VAs?
I originally got an IPS for gaming, and VA for movies..but ended up using the VA as my primary
my only regret is getting a 32 inch instead of 27 inch at 1440p
also an ultra gear?
I see...from what I've heard the Optix are pretty good value monitors comparable to the LGs
i'm running a ultragear freesync 32inch va 1440p
yeah, but some people are like that...my boss saw the 27 inch g-sync on sale for 320..but couldn't bite the bullet..he wanted to research
now it's back up to 370 and he doesn't want to pay the 50.
good monitors..the fressync versions are pretty good, at least for me. so far no issues running gsync on them. no flicker issues or things like that. again my biggest regret is the size...i wish i went smaller
originally i had a 5700xt so gsync didn't matter to me
didn't know about the bleed...might be you got a lemon?
what exactly are you looking for? I mean gsync is also kinna unnecessary, usually free sync would do just fine if you find the correct model. since not all free sync monitors have the same standard. gsync you know you are pretty much paying for top of the line.
4k gaming? production, just all around?
How close do you sit to your monitors.. I'm making due with 32 inch by putting it quite far on my desk. 1440p
I honestly think I would like the 27 better.
O man. You gonna try to go Ultra gear again?
I'm not having any bleed issues on the VA.
Don't have the exp with the ultra gear ips
I'm running asus 24 inch ips monitor. No bleed at all.
For the price they are pretty good monitors.
Damn I'm still kicking myself in the ass getting 32 inch. But it was in sale. So didn't want to pass on it. The 27inch was more exp.
It seems to be the new sweet spot for most ppl at 1440p
lol...i have a big desk..so i put it quite far, so i get pretty much the same as a 27 inch
when i start getting close..yeah...you def can see pixels
but if i had the choice, i would prefer to have my monitors more close..i think the gaming experience would also be better.
That's the thing esp, with technology, always something else you could've bought or done.
i'm still upset i couldn't get a 3080 tuf oc...my msi gaming x trio has given me no issues whatsoever..but i wanted a tuf.
i don't remember if we can put links...i probably don't have enough levels
Asus VP249QGR 23.8
that's the monitor i bought...again i had a 5700xt at the time so freesync was fine for me
in case i wanted the true color gamit, i went with the IPS...tbh i like my VA panel, but you can tell in games the colors are a little bit subdued and not as popping
i mean sorta, but it kinna just tells you it's "top of the line" for freesync you have to do a little bit more research, cause freesync is not equal on all monitors
with my exp so far, i would not be afraid to get a freesync monitor with the proper research and save the extra money...ssometimes gsync label can have a price premium of 200...that's too crazy imo
and i know that's it's just a marketing tool in those cases, the freesync equivalent will work just as good
Most people say most freesync works just fine with gsync.
Gsync compatable is a nice spot because it doesn't have the actual gsync price bump but is certified to work
But I wouldn't be hesitant to buy a freesync if I saw at least one gsync user saying it was fine
Hey guys I am currently looking at three different monitors and was wondering if somebody can help me determine which one would best suit my needs.
No one can of you don't post both your needs /use case and the monitors
I was wondering What the Newegg dead pixel return policy removed means. Does that mean if I get 1 dead pixel on my monitor on arrival I will be able to return it?
Okay thank you @visual pilot because I read that the old return policy was one was 8 pixels but now they said that they " So in an effort to improve your buying experience, we have removed the dead pixel requirements from our return policy on monitors and TVs, so you can shop displays with confidence." Soo i was wondering if 1 dead pixel was enough to qualify for a return policy
Okay thank you very much since i Just ordered the (GIGABYTE M27Q 27") and was really scared of getting some dead pixels on arrival and having to just deal with it. Thank you very much again for the help. I'm pretty bad at comprehending what was written
Whats the average price for a 2560x1440 144hz monitor?
Around 500$ CAD
Tbh I just started looking into monitors a week ago but it seems pretty good to me
390 CAD
Reviews are good too
and a reputable and well known company
Amazon returns are supposedly easy too
For canadians its 540 and no sale rn
I'd go for it 🙂
Yeah could get an second opinion too
Mhmm mhmm
d'ya know much about computers?
GPU : Ryzen 5600xt
CPU : R5 2600x
RAM : Corsair vengence LPX 8x2 3000mhz
Mobo : B450M
PSU : 750W Gold
These are my specs
Just wanted to know what monitor i should get, that would best fit this setup
others said 144hz 1080
just DM me with a reply if you want
Yeah, 1080144hz
hmm
Sorry. 1080p, 144hz
Even if i dont do too much FPS?
I mean, 120hz would be fine too
i found a 2560x1440 144hz for 300$
My 2060 barely does
alright
upgrading what to what?
k
i dont have to run it at 144hz all the time
What I'm saying is, 144hz for that GPU is a waste of money
alright
1440p gaming is tough without a good GPU
but idk if anybody would want to buy a 5600xt
especially with nVidia releasing so many new cards
My RTX2060 struggles in some games with everything maxed. Cyberpunk is everything Medium and 60 FPS
I mean, you can spend the money on a 144hz 1440p panel but the video card probably won't do 1440p very well
yeah
But how far down the line?
rather than buy another 1080,
1440p 144hz monitors are just going to get cheaper
1080p is fine
1-2 months
so are GPU's
Keep in mind though that you'll also need a new CPU and RAm at the least
1080p 240hz is my golden standard
With a 5600XT?
ust for me vintage
240hz is stupid for most ppl
i've used bigger monitors, and i really like them
im just overly competitive in fps
battle royale is stupid as hell
as long as u have fun
yep
i dont rage when i loose
only play old shooters
or get mad really
i hate rng in games
i think tarkov has made me this way
if im better than the other person i should win every time
ew
Well
i'll think it over
i have around 800$ rn
and if i upgrade parts, and some how sell the old ones
not likely, but who knows
games are satisfying when you hit the skillcap
lot of battle royale have low cap
so
eh
Reason: Bad word usage
cause imo u only need to push constant 144 on fps
ive never needed 240fps for a singleplayer game lol
plan on upgrading soon
i guess i'll hold off on a monitor
and get one if/after i upgrade
Whaddya think is the best way to sell parts?
if im upgrading GPU CPU RAM and mobo
Thats alot of extra money just laying around if i dont sell them
i suppose i can see if one of my siblings wants to buy some
ebay or ppl u know
issue is
if its someone u know
and theyre

and break smth
theyll blame u
eh
if they buy only 4 parts of a PC
i guess i'd help them get the rest, and make it a full system
yeah, ebay wokrs
i've had trouble with them tho
depends how little of a life u have
if ur able to check every single restock
then
yea mayb
lol
well
i have atleast some what of a life
not a basement dweller
so thats a plus
idfk
What i REALLY need
is an excuse for my mom, as to why im buying more parts, in the same year
hmmm....
Say they dont wont no more 🙂
Yeah*
how would that explain me selling them?
Hmmm....
my life depends on this
or, atleast, my epic PC gaming setup
well
Say that you found an insane deal online and that you're selling the old pieces for a better newer one
I Do have my own debit finally
hmmm .....
Possible
or that i won them in a giveaway
hmmm
But where ever i got it from would mark the package...
maybe have it sent to my brothers house
hmmm
that could work
im planning on 1000$ worth of upgrades
i want a 3070
decent mobo
32 gigs of ram
a ryzen CPU, not sure which
Sit down with each one. Blind test. Tell me you'll see a difference.
it's also a VA panel, not TN
SOme even think VA is better than IPS for gaming due to contrast ration
🤷
Shop LG 32GK650F-B on the official LG.com website for the most up to date information. Buy online for delivery or in-store pick-up.
Panel Type VA
🤷
yo is this a good monitor Dell S2419HGF
@tired mesa if you get it mighty cheap yes
It is a good budget 144hz panel, look for <130$. Its not the BEST but for the price its hard to get better games
ok
S2721DGF or OPTIX MAG274QRF-QD ?
just baced on the product padges
I would say optix
plus I have experience with optix
I finally upgraded my main monitor to a ASUS VG278QR and so far so good besides one thing: When my PC wakes from sleep, all my windows or apps from the main monitor are moved to one of the secondary displays, It's like the secondary displays wake up faster and are recognized as the main by the PC a sec before the main monitor wakes up and the PC recolonizes it as the main, Anyone have any ideas how I can get this working right? I did a lil searching online with no luck yet
hello, was wondering if anyone knew what's the difference between the Acer V277U and the Acer VG270U? Ive looked but no luck
Well the first thing I noticed iced was different response times but I'm on mobile so can't look side by side for more differences easily
I'd look at the manufacturers spec sheets side by side
it looks like main difference is response time and refresh rate. unless im looking at the wrong panel the vg270u is 144hz with the other being 75hz. but the weird thing is on some spec sheets im seeing the vg270u listed as 75hz as well so i may be mistaken
My friend just got a ps5 and he needs a 4K 144 monitor under 220
also that trash pile wont do 4k144 even on minecraft
4K tv 120hz maybe?
tell him to stop being stupid then
Lol

tv input lag ☠️
lol
Just being honest here
lol
Yeah
I think that's the only option lol
Anyway I just got myself a 1440 240 monitor
And after I told him that he didn’t believe me and ended up cussing me out and bringing up the amount of money I make
Yup
Anyone rocking a VG27AQL1A in this group? That's what Im eyeing, but I keep bouncing to the LG 27GL850
is the Nitro XV272U Xbmiipruzx 27 a good monitor
well gn merry Christmas hope you get what you asked for 🙂
your friend should just get a 4k tv, unless he's trying to go competitive in call of duty somehow 😏
Is there a...
-27'' and above
-1440p
-at least 144Hz
-thin bezel
monitor? I tried looking for some but I can only seem to find thicc bezel ones.
If anyone can find one I would really appreciate it, thank you
:)
Thanks a lot!
Merry Christmas
Merry Xmas to you too : D
:)
The omen 27i has a really thin bezel @uneven nova
any recommendations for a budget display with good colour accuracy?
@scenic violet what price would you call "budget"?
around 250€
I'd look for dell ultrasharp
@visual pilot are you on
yea
@visual pilot So camel doesn’t know how to make his monitors show separate things
@sweet dock
He wants help
His not responding lol
Someone in general chat said click windows + p
In this video, I demonstrate how to quickly change your display settings in Windows using the Windows Presentation Mode keyboard shortcut, accessed by pressing the Windows key and the 'P' key. Please note, the momentary blackouts of my desktop in the video are an artifact of the screen capture software used, they did not happen on the laptop it...
@sweet dock
That vid should help you
crts bop tbh
2048x1536 60hz or 1600x1280 76hz or 800x600 180hz. Built in speakers and sub. Built in Mic. USB hub, headphone jack
Vga and bnc
21"
id run that 800x600 all day baby
It can do other resolutions obv vertical refresh scales with resolution on crt
So... Probably 1024x768 120 would be fine
Bass in. Lol
100% bass
Davie 504 would be proud
but that 180hz quake
800x600 180hz quake2 RTX
thats the stuff
is the LG 32'' UltraGear FHD 165Hz HDR10 good for 170
1080ti good
not for rtx
I have an HDMI (and VGA + DVI) monitor I'd like to hook up to my 3060Ti, which only has one HDMI which I am already using for another monitor. What are my options? Would any cheap DP->HDMI adapter from ebay work?
The monitor is just 1080@60Hz
yeah
what power cable should i get for my G27QC? Is the amazon basic power cable just alright?
whihc is better the 27gl850 or 27gn850
I looked up the differences since I confused the two a lot. It seems the GN is 50 bucks cheaper and lacks the USB that the GL has. Aside from that, they're pretty identical
So it'll come down to if you want USB input on your monitor
I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons between VG27AQL1A and the 27GL850
Might boil down to whichever is available when its time to buy the monitor
Is this monitor good for a 3060ti? I want to play some games competitively. And would the individual pixels be very noticeable ?
While I have no experience with gaming monitors, I feel like 1080p is a solid resolution for a 24" monitor
And if I were to go with 1440p what would y’all recommend? No more than $400
If you don’t mind sharing @sage ginkgo why are you returning your m27q?
Ahhh. Gotcha thanks.
yeah
I was gonna send it out tomorrow and then just pick something out while I'm at work since we have that one in stock wanted to pretty much know if its one I should go for
I
yeah...
I gotcha
I am going to go for the omen 27i which I agree is a bit overpriced but I can get it tomorrow and I can get it for less than half off. did have good reviews too
yes
@modest palm
I work at best buy
499 when it's not on sale
its not a great discount but I did get gift cards plus the monitor I got today I am returning so I won't be paying much for it
yes for sure
you've been most helpful
yes it is
IPS
yeah that doesn't bother me too much
yes
eaasy
yes for sure
just scored a predator x27 for 450 bucks
will it be overkill for my 3070? its a 4k 27inch
:o do you get any perks for working at best buy?
like I know a friend who got a computer from Fry's because he worked there
4 free of course
i would aim for 1440p
are there any great monitors for around 100-200 dollars
No
XD
1080p
Frick, back ordered
Seriously, even the 'great' 1080 are usually 300+ , and I don't even consider 1080 great
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1539791-REG/msi_24_optix_g241_gaming.html but also backordered. OOF

@storm pawn
A great 1080 should go over 144hz
Is the S2721DGF a good quality monitor? It's currently on sale for $560 AUD
Which one?

Why’s that @mossy kindle
Reason: Bad word usage
tn is s!ht
Language please
Is it that bad tho?
Is a 240hz 1080p monitor worth it over 1440p 144hz for a 3060ti?
@tame swallow I mean, 1440p144hz is gonna look a good bit better
It's 2 different alternatives, but 1080p240hz is by no means just better than 1440p144hz
What GPU though? 1440p 144hz does look better but need a decent GPU for it.
3060 ti
I'm looking to expand my double-monitor setup with a third one. Since both I have rn are 1080p, I was thinking maybe 1440p is worth it? Dunno how affordable a decent 1440p monitor is tho.
I don't want to spend too much on it, probs a max of 200€ or so
ah oof
I'll keep scouring the local used markets then
Which one do you have?
Dell something, gotta look it up
(out of stock) "Last displayed price: $590"
I'll look up the reviews, thanks for the suggestion
Is everything just stupid expensive in France lol
Guess so
Looks like on paper its comparable to the vg27aql1a but cheaper
oh wow you snatched it at a good price
It looks like it was $450 or so the majority of the time
aaaand it's 250€ in baguette land 🤦
Considering asking a friend in the US to receive tech for me and I pick it up next time I visit.
Hey do you think the msi ag32c monitor is a good deal for 210$ for the 32 in version
Statistics
Because 1 bad monitor doesn't mean all the rest are bad too
@modest palm You could have a 1/100,000 bad monitor, and that's just bad luck
Any no if the ag32c is a good monitor or not like for 210$
Gigabyte M27Q ( local price 350 eur ) vs LG 32GK650F ( local price is like 295 eur)
which one is better? and is 32inch really worth it? I would have space for 32 inch but I am not sure I need it or if its really worth it
also how would the 1070 perform with 1440p... is it even worth grabbing 1440p with 1070, but I might upgrade it rather soon like in a year or 2 depends on when there are proper sales here and not some -3% BS because they increased the price 2 weeks earlier
1070 will choke on 1440p non 60
but youll be okay if you dont plan to max games out
low-med will be fie
fine
Reason: Duplicated text
I mean for games that I play like squad or arma 3 or insurgency sandstorm I can run 1080p with like 50% upscalling rather fine like 70 fps beside arma 3 ofc.
ur fine for older games
theyre just saying you probably wont hit above 60fps so 144hz may not be worth
