moondrop variations
oh dang i thought they were a bit less than that
ye theyre quite steep
how are you liking them?
question, i want to embace my weebness
should I A) get a custom mousepad?
or B) get an actual mousepad and weeb out some other day
you can do both
Whether you need to order custom really depends on which anime anyway, many are just in regular stock
a fairly good and somewhat cheap mousepad to get customized is xray pad's aqua control II or control+. roughly upwards to like $80 depending on the options you choose and shipping to account but pretty good mousepad. they already also have a sakura collection if you just want to go with that
you just upload an image and choose how the mousepad will be like thickness and stuff
upwards, can be cheaper again depending on what other options you choose
aqua control 2 is what id recommend between the 2 and the control+. not super fast but def quick and enough control
i want my new mousepad to come in already
on pre-order, wont be arriving till next month or august
Anybody know the best, most comfortable true wireless earbuds around the ~$250? Good mic and decent ANC would be great cuz I’ll be using it for Zoom and discord. I would have liked the xm4, but heard it’s awful for comfort
Biggest question Is this worth the price?
Well how fast do you need to access your homelab server
And do you have a switch capable of the speeds
You don't need CAT8 if your network is only capable of gigabit.
Nah 6E can do gigabit just fine
Cat 8 is for 40 Gb
It's also very thick and inflexible
All those "CAT8" and "CAT7" cables on amazon are dumb, most are such poor quality they are not truly CAT8 or CAT7 and it makes many people waste their money of them thinking they will make their network faster.
Most 25/40GBASE-T applications do not use standard copper cables anyways.
Yeah if you need those speeds you probably want fiber optic
Most applications use twinax.
It's 15.00 more then cat 6
Cat 6 and cat 6e are different though right
Yes
Slightly
6 theoretically peaks at 1Gb and 6E 10Gb. Emphasis on "theoretically".
Ive decided to buy external amp cuz my shp9500 on my new msi b660m pro doesnt sound as loud as my old asus z170..
what do yall think?
could grab a dongle on the cheaper end, schiit fulla or zen dac for 100$ and 150$ options
they're dac+amp
Hello guys. I would like to order item # 9SIARZCGZR0250 (HP Desktop Computer 800 G3-SFF, refurbished) on the Newegg website, but before, can anyone positively ascertain, based on the specs (Intel Core i7 7th Gen 7700 - 3.60GHz + Intel HD Graphics 630), that this PC will be fully compatible with my new 4K monitor (Philips 328E1CA, 32", 3840 x 2160) and UHD Blu-ray external drive (LG BP60NB10), with no issues nor any kind of additional equipment? The LG drive's system requirements for UHD are: Intel 7th Gen. Kabylake Core i3 or higher (CPU), Intel HD Graphics 630 or higher (GPU), Intel SGX support, HDCP 2.2 & 1.4 support (Motherboard). I will connect the monitor using a DisplayPort 8K 1.4 cable. Thank you for the reply. 🙂
anyone know any good headsets for under 70$?
HyperX cloud 2 I guess
Reason: Bad word usage
ok
It should work ok in theory but keep in mind that system is over 5 years old.
No need for a high end displayport cable, that iGPU is only capable of 4k at 60Hz over DP so 1.2 will work fine.
any recommendation for iem tips? not the biggest fan of the fit/feel of the current ones with my bl03s @timber ridge
im rocking spinfit rn
but ik ppl use dekoni foam tips
comply foam tips
and a specific ikko one that i forgot the name of
is foam a nicer material?
have tried anything besides dekoni but they feel nice
better than the standard silicon tips or whatever my iems came with
Hey Does steel series or Logitech make a better mouse

theyre both alright, as falcie said model over brand but IF you had to choose between the two, id go logitech
g502 being the safest of the pics imo but choose based on what shape you want and what needs you have
i got a cut on my ear and need to wear in-ear headphones for a while
anyone have some recommendations for something in $100-$150 range?
depending on what kind of sound you want, could just go for some kz iems
$20~$50 for the cheaper iems
or if you have some apple earbuds lying around, use the dongle or get a dongle and use that
im very used to bose 700 sound but im not a big fan of in ears so i dont wanna spend too much
unfortunately dont have anything like that lying around
i dont mind trying cheaper iems i just dont know any good in-ears really
kz
fairly cheap and good sounding however probably a bit more "sparkly" sounding compared to bose
think kz is more high and mid than it is bass
ye
Dunu Titan S for some neutral bright sound sig and aria or kato for thr usual moondrop tuning (harman/balanced/"boring" sound sig that's kinda leaning to a smooth, warmer side.) Can also try hzsound heart mirror but that thing's more energetic and bright than moondrops, not that dependable for long-term usage for most people but would still be nice for its pricetag.
Titan S rn is in the same hype boat that aria was in before, ao you have a choice to hop in or dwell to other choices iem hobby has
kinda too much for my budget rn, how bout this bad boi? heard alot of good reviews

what should I buy
between the two, apex pro
i dont know if this is the right place to ask this, but are there any good deals for gaming chairs
dont get a gaming chair, just get an office chair
https://www.staples.com/Staples-Hyken-Technical-Mesh-Task-Chair-Black/product_990119? $200 for a great chair
oh fair
Thank you @white flame , it's reassuring. Otherwise, what more recent system exactly would you recommend that, say, is affordable and will do the job?... As for the cable, at least it can downscale to 1.2; there was not that much a difference in price, and you could see it as an investment for the future. 😉
I'm guessing by the item number you're in Canada
Yes I am.
I'd look at this, it'll support Windows 11 and all the modern features. The iGPU is much better, which will be good for decoding the Blu-Ray discs. It also uses much less power. You can upgrade the memory easily, it just takes standard laptop memory. (so-dimm) A used 8 or 16GB 3200MHz kit wouldn't be too much cost on ebay or something.
https://www.newegg.ca/p/2NR-000D-00AF2
Thanks again. AMD Radeon Graphics GPU is better than Intel HD Graphics 630 for 4K? Not familiar with the AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4350GE CPU. Yes, I would definitely have to look here for more RAM and disk storage... But mind you, I had a bad experience some time ago with a defective Lenovo tablet. Extremely bad customer service, and I ended up being stuck with it. 😥
Yes the Vega graphics are better than even the most recent Intel graphics
Tablets are also very different from desktops (or mini desktops for that matter)
Right. Better that Intel? Wow, that's interesting. But I need a fine enough processor to go with it. How would you rate the AMD Ryzen 3? As good as Intel Core i7 7th Gen 7700?
The CPU beats the 7700K by about 10% https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/AMD-Ryzen-3-PRO-4350GE-vs-Intel-Core-i7-7700K/3791vs2874
And the non-K 7700 by a lot more than that https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/AMD-Ryzen-3-PRO-4350GE-vs-Intel-i7-7700K-vs-Intel-i7-7700/3791vs2874vs2905
That's compared to the 4.20GHz for the Intel 7700. Would the score be even or lower for a 3.60GHz, the original system I wrote about?
Yeah the second link compares to the 3.6GHz 7700
Roughly 20% better than the 7700 overall
Impressive! Thanks. I'm relying on the specific system requirements (both Intel CPU and GPU) printed on the external drive box (LG BP60NB10). But if you say Radeon and Ryzen will be fully compatible too, that's all I want.
Yep should be even better. You'll probably want at least a total of 8GB of memory. Since it uses so-dimm you could probably just put a 8GB stick next to the 4GB and it'll work just fine.
And that way even if it doesn't work, you still have 8GB
If you don't mind, I'd rather go with something that has a minimum of 16GB RAM pre-installed. I'm not that tech-savvy. ☺️
Memory is literally the easiest upgrade to do. Take the cover off, push the clips to remove, click new one in place.
Yes, actually, I remember having done this a long time ago on another PC, should be easy enough. Personally, I dream of 32GB, it would be neat for some use. But there's a limit to how much RAM you can add. Depends on the system, right?
This one would support 32GB with 2x 16GB sticks
Now that's very tempting... @white flame, you've been of incomparable help. 👍
is wired keyboard and mouse better then wireless keyboard and mouse
I heard with wirless though you can plug them in and it will be like its wired it will also charge that way
Some of them you can plug in yeah
latency wise, wired is better but bluetooth has come a long way where latency really isnt an issue and isnt noticeable at all unless youre on like some cheapo stuff
So I just got the Corsair HS80 wireless headset I downloaded all the software but I can't find 7.1 and yes I know 7.1 is not that good I am just looking for it
like I can toggle dolby access on and off change the frequencies in IQUE 4 but can't find where the 7.1 setting is anyone know IQUE4?
I think this is the right place to ask but couple of questions...first, does anybody know of a reliable docking station for a 135w laptop? I have a Lenovo P15v and the Lenovo docking station I have sucks..the USB C isnt enough to charge the laptop so I have to have 2 cords plugged in and having multiple monitors plugged in to the docking station makes it crash repeatedly. It's also worth mentioning that the Lenovo dock I have now is not the lighting one so the lightning one could work but after the crashing issues with the one I have I am not sure I want to buy the Lenovo one
Second, any thoughts on the Corsair K100 keyboard? thinking of getting one
Rk boards is enough for most jobs
Kinda suck they don't have 1800 layout tho
Or a keychron q5 if k100 rly was $200
so i see in the pins that gaming headsets bad.. im looking for something to replace my aging hyperx cloud2. so do i have any options if i dont' want a big mic on my desktop? are there any still decent headsets with a mic out there just take out the gaming part? any recommendations?
pc37x and pc38x i believe are pretty good
i was thinking like budget 150-200
Pc38x might be worth looking into
^
those are hard to find and very expensive in my country :/ any close alternative?
ok since these arent too expensive here and maybe it is just better getting a seperate mic and headset, thoughts on the K371?
yeah ive been looking at the mh752 too since i get wierd quiet/muffled mic input when i plug into the 3.5mm jacks in my case so instead of risking i'd rather just get the usb dongle to be safe. otherwise seems the best option for gaming headsets. but the mic is tinny and compressed but i know thats to be expected with gaming headsets. just trying to make up my mind now which way to go
thanks for the help all
I wanted to use my main 4 LL120 fans + one led strip (with "modded" connector) plugged all in my corsair lighing node core. The fans are now working properly but i wanted to disguise the led strip as a QL fan (since it has the right numbers of led as the led strip). The only problem is iCue, i can choose my number of fans (would be 5) but only one model of fans (QL, LL, ML,...), i wanted to know if i can set 4xLL fans and 1xQL fan (led strip). Is it possible?
or if there is a way to "mod" the software
💀
nice
you pick up anything
Hi guys. Can someone show me the 8GB or 16GB RAM sticks I could buy on Newegg to put in a Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q to upgrade? It could be a combo of 2 x 8GB, to go up to 16GB total. I know those are of the so-dimm DDR4 3200Mhz type, but some sellers say "only for laptops", so I'm not sure. And I don't want to pay $50 for shipping! 😧
Oooooh, that's great! Thanks a million, @shadow bane. 🤓
Nah, the nerd is ME. 😇
That computer uses so-dimm
dont buy what i suggested
didnt realize it needed so-dimm
arent those small enough though?
or does so-dimm mean something else
Yep, 1 liter
It is
cool
@white flame my friend, can you pinpoint then what and where I should buy?
Canada still right?
32gb, and the fastest your computer supports https://www.newegg.ca/crucial-32gb-260-pin-ddr4-so-dimm/p/N82E16820156263?Item=9SIAV81H691649
Well yeah, also laptop memory hasn't dropped in price as well as desktop
https://www.amazon.ca/ADATA-Premier-3200Mhz-PC4-25600-260-Pin/dp/B092XK3X6L/ref=sr_1_17? could they do two of these?
I'm an Amazon Prime geek member myself, so that would be perfect. Are you sure the Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q I picked (AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4350GE) can handle 32GB? I read somewhere the maximum for this one is 16GB RAM...
I'm seeing a max of 64GB but I'll double check
Sure, thanks.
Yes, I read the same thing there. So I would be safe to go with 32GB, that would be enough to suit all my needs.
There was a more expensive Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q unit on Newegg that has an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650GE CPU. Would there be a world of difference compared to the 4350GE?: https://www.newegg.ca/lenovo-thinkcentre-m75q-gen-2-student-home-office/p/1VK-0003-1FS57
What are you using it for?
You can build a 12100 6600xt pc for that price
Please don't buy that
That's one of the worst prices I've ever seen on a mini pc
Yeah, it's almost $1000, and from a third-party seller at that, with very average reviews. The 4350GE is sold by Lenovo Canada itself... I will use it for 4K UHD Blu-ray playback, 4K YouTube stuff essentially. No video editing.
How much is the 4350ge one?
$565.
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, Cougar MX330 ATX Mid Tower
Cheaper and better
If you want case smaller p200a would work, not sure what mobo would be good to fit in that case
Unsure of pro vdh fits
If you're set on smthn already built, there's better options
Thanks @shadow bane, but I'm not into building my own one. Don't have the time or the knowledge. I'm rather a plug-and-play kind of guy. 😉
@white flame still have the link to that 5600g build?
This one? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TggQd9
PC Builder - AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower
Nah, the pre built you sent the other day
Mightve been nzxt?

@glass void
Do they do canada delivery
It says USA only.
god damn it i keep forgetting canada
LOL
what does the 4350ge compare to?
if you know?
what about vs 12100?
looks like 545 would be fine for it, looking at other options
next best thing i can find is this, which would be good but i doubt they need the extra cpu perf
link didnt work

bruh
what
https://www.amazon.ca/Beelink-4-1GHz-Windows-Display-Computer/dp/B0B3RRMHZB/ref=sr_1_6? there, this is 540
😂
Are those more suggestions for me or you're chatting about other stuff? 😇
lmao i didnt even see that
Not as many ports but that would work
In any case, thanks again for your help guys. The Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q Tiny Gen 2 with Ryzen 3 PRO 4350GE is a fine deal, with an ADATA 16GB RAM stick...
if youre just going for 16gb, id get 2x8
unless theres an 8gb stick in that one and youre going to run those together
It comes with 4gb lol
Yeah if you're just going 16gb you can do this
Yes, sold with a mere 4GB pre-installed. How come these powerful machines are sold with only 4GB RAM???
i wouldnt call that exactly powerful
They're often sold build to order, or barebones without memory and storage
those type of pcs tend to be used for just browsing the web for grandparents and such
Grandparents, LOL... Well, it's an upgrade over my old Dell Optiplex 7010. 😉 Mind you, it came with 16GB RAM inside...
Yeah it'll run that blu ray player at 4k easy, even the lowest end modern stuff can do that
That's all I want! And 4K YouTube videos or 4K Netflix, with no issues. Right?
100%
I read 4K Netflix can be tricky...
That's more a netflix problem
Oh?
The compressed streams make it look, well, not quite real 4k
You're not supposed to compress 4k video into a 5Mb/s stream
Even with a superspeed modem?
Yeah the netflix server will only give you so much bandwidth
is that so? Glad to hear...
The netflix app tends to work better than the browser in my experience, ymmv
Taking notes here...
The ADATA 8GB RAM sells for $33 CAN on Amazon, and the 16GB goes for $60 CAN on sale there. Why should I buy two separate 8GB?
The CPU is designed to run in dual channel mode so it can take full advantage of available bandwidth
well single channel ram does, anyways
A single 16GB stick then would affect performance?
yes
OK, 2 x 8GB then...
I'll keep you posted once I get everything up and running. If I have issues then, I'll know who to turn to. 🖥️
Thanks again for your help! Have a nice evening guys. 🌛
nah
kinda want a h88 for the future but i skipped
Shhhhhh dont tell apple
h88 p nice
if i picked any up it would be a 87c for an upcoming board but that's in a while
I wanted to use my main 4 LL120 fans + one led strip (with "modded" connector) plugged all in my corsair lighing node core. The fans are now working properly but i wanted to disguise the led strip as a QL fan (since it has the right numbers of led as the led strip). use openrgb
icue sucks anyway
Any other software I tried for my RGB has problems, either interferes with iCue or can't set led brightness to max
OpenRGB sucks for my mobo
It should be fine now
It's not
z690 a pro righht?
No
Z690 tomahawk
Newest version still doesn't recognize my mobo
Still have to use someone else's release
And its buggy
Got the link that doesn't auto download?
Open source RGB lighting control that doesn't depend on manufacturer software
scroll down to pipeline
Neither the pipeline or stable version work. I tried them 3 days ago.
They fail to detect my mobo AND my keyboard, whereas the one I have detects both, but has some issues.
If I was home, I'd send you the one I have.
Like, when I go to change a single LED, all my fan lights turn off. I have to fiddle around the software for them to all come back on.
MSI boards use weird RGB protocols. There was an issue in the past where the RGB had a chance of becoming bricked so most of the MSI boards were removed from support on openrgb until they can be manually verified.
in the same situation somewhat, was supposed to proto a tkl but i ended up with a f2
Yeah, I read about that somewhere. Kinda sucks
lmao
the side profile ?
looks kinda wacky
i'm not really the biggest fan of complex designs
lz's older boards tho looked pretty neat
fair
my taste is kinda all over the place
i have a 60 version of a whale tkl basically
with some changes to side profile and not as steep angle
feel like whale design would look odd on 60
for me 60 is kinda hard to design, feel like simple wedge/similar work best
rs60 looks really nice proportionally though
rs was p cool but pricing was p awful
ye
i need a board to color match perestroika
i have a 65 coming up but it feels wrong to put perestroika on it
ye a few lmao
any good 60/tkls
my friend is gonna run an instock budget hhkb that is pcb mounted
if youre a gundam fan my friend has a gundam 60
another friend has a tkl in proto phase and itll most likely have a pink option
its gonna be slightly changed for next proto but p much the same for the most part
uses hex4b mount if youre familiar with that
my friend n I are gonna be running this sometime in the future, uses grommets for mounts
oh i saw some pics of that board
and yeah friends with kaster+yz so know their stuff
that weight looks p bad tho imo
on which board
the 4 weights
f1 had a bit more rounded corners but really i think a single weight would look better
have you seen the weight on fmj80?
i originally wanted dalco bot but scrapped idea thenthat was made
nope
oh man
got any pics
yeah trying to find one of the design
not a ton of info on the boards for the amount of times it's ran but they had some really nice colors
looks sick
i needa come up with an idea for a wine red board, got none rn
might jus do some simple like koala sides
feel like wine red is a finicky color
how come?
haven't seen many boards that look good with it
ya

holy
have you seen any old lz stuff?
ye
was gonna use lz re sides for a split column xt60
feel like split column looks worse than norma xt layout
i like the symmetrical look
that's what i don't like about it lol
the balance with the 2 rows looks nice but one on each is kinda eh
kinda liked how rei60 turned out though https://i.imgur.com/bq8uDrl_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium

Hello I was wondering I’m wanting to upgrade from a quest 2 to a pc vr headset best one for around 300
quest 2 is kinda really your only option
thres some headsets from hp and htc vive but dont think youll be able to get or find anything around $300
index is 1k retail, doubt youll find it around $300
Well I found some for 250
a full set of the index?
which vive?
HTC vive not pro
dont really know if thats much of an upgrade over the quest unless youre looking to get away from facebook
Well what do you think is a good vr headset that is 120/144 hz
Don’t really care about price
Is index best one?
technically no since theres one out there thats hella good but costs hella money
and isnt consumer i dont think
Is the cosmos good
I still have yet to hook my Quest 2 up to my PC. I don't really know what the benefits are.
Charge while you use it (cable)
I'm the opposite I've never used airlink I've always linked my quest 2 cos I do sim racing
Yeah I had a good reason to buy one. Endurance races last quite a long time
What even is the difference in the oculus link?
The link cable uses fibre so it's a bit more costly
But it can also charge while you use it
In any other situation I would 100% get a cheaper variant
So what vr headsets do y’all think I shouldn’t buy?
Cable when you link it to your pc is there any performance difference?
I used it and my performance was still crappy
It depends on the game tho in some cases. Some games like ACC are terrible on vr
In blades in sourcery it’s not really that smooth and the trees in the distance are kinda just like a blob
That’s why I want a pc vr headset
Personally I don't find myself wanting more than a quest 2, it's so good for the price and you get very little screen door for a complete vr set
So I can run games a lot better and I can download mods
On blades and sourcery
Yeah it is blurry sometimes
I just got it because my brother wanted it to
Yeah sometimes, I don't think it's too bad tho
Might because of mods

But it’s usually just a sword
In nomad you can to
You got nomad or regular
No
Well kinda
It’s easy when you know how to do it
I will link the website where you download them
There are a ton of them
Makes the game a lot better
Well I’m kinda like the guy if it’s not 144 fps most of the time I will do everything I can to achieve 144 lol
So blades and sourcery I think runs like 60 fps or whatever
And I just see it as sloppy
Bumping up to next gen radeon might help a lot with that
Well I got a 6700xt
Yeah a 6700XT is good fr
You think the 6700xt will last me a good while?
Well I dont find a diffrence in the performance in oculus link
It dont do anything
I might be doing something wrong
Rip
But idk
I haven’t used it with my 6700xt only my rx 570
So I could try tonight
You think that was my problem
:worryhype:
How do I know it’s using my gpu?
Steamer
Well I don’t use the oculus link cable
It’s like a 3rd part or whatever
Don't need the link cable
But still connects
3rd party is fine as long as it was like a 10gbps one iirc
Well idk how fast it is
Ok I will update you
Do I just fire up a game
I can’t play blades and sourcery
Like how do I play blades and sourcery
And how I install steam vr
No I got it thru the oculus app
I guess I will buy it tho
Well just bought it
I think that was the reason why my performance was so bad
Ok I installed it
Hold on rq
I got to install blades and sourcery
On pc right?
K
Only a few gigs left
Yeah I got it when I first got the oculus
So it don’t really matter just 20 dollars
K I’m joining in rn
How do I get rid of the oculus controller
Like there’s my hands and then the oculus controllers on top
Holy crap it looks so good
I guess I don’t need to buy a new vr lol
Thanks
But gotta find new place to put my pc
Yeah I just thought it was the headset
well i thought buying the actual game
wouldnt do anything
but more mods
and i never used acls link becaseu i didnt think it did anythin
now im going to buy another gpu
so i can put in a alienware pc that my freind ave me for 10 bucks
but the gpu was broke
so
ye
win win
and can use that pc
for like the vr
and i can use my other pc
for someothing else
yeah
i will let my brother play on it
well i have a brother and i gotta share my pc
sadly
but it is what it is ig
well he dont got anything to connect to it
yeah i will use my pc for vr and he can use the other pc for gaming becaseu hes not so worried about pc
thanks
yeah
@dire tartan if i move my pc i will have to cnnect it to like a surge protector
that is connected to a extintion cord that is plugged into a wall
So quick question, if I am using DVI port for my main monitor and it kinda looks like ass, if I then get a cable for DVI to displayport will it look way better then just using the normal DVI?
Not unless it's the cable itself making it look bad. Converting it doesn't really do anything.
Cool thanks
Guys quick question, i have a relatively heavy mouse, 100g, so should i get a mousepad with high or low friction?
speed or control for a heavier mouse
Its purely preference. With a heavier mouse you will have more control with high friction
speed imo since itll for the most part balance out but also depends on what skates you have
razer strider mousepad is what id recommend if you just have normal ptfe feet
Anyone have steelseries headphones ?
I'm trying to update their firmware, everything is plugged in
when I hit "update firmware" the update popup disappears
and it just doesn't work
alrighty
That’s actually a very known issue on the arctis headsets
Does it say update failed when you try to install the update??
I have literally had this issue one time due to a bad install of GG
Yeah same.
:/
I had to do some regedit stuff but I don’t recommend that unless you absolutely know what you’re doing
^
Try running CCleaner
Last message from support was '' this is a bug that the software team is currently working on a fix for our next update.´´
It might resolve the registry fault
it's a bug many people on reddit are having
Hmmm
so it's fixable if you clean your registry ?
Potentially.
It worked for me but I might be a rare case
It solves detectability issues with the Arctis headsets' controller when it's misbehaving
Like the impudent child
Don't do it
it says it's critical so I feel complied to install it
Meh
It really isn’t lol
but they work so who tf cares
Your headset will work either way
If your headset is working functionally, who cares?
they gonna find a way to fix this in 3 months
Skip
by then I'm gonna not care anymore
Is CCleaner still a thing that people use?
For easy registry cleaning and maintenance, yes; unfortunately most people don't regedit very well
I used to use it on my PCs like 10 years ago, I didn't know it was still around. Piriform I think was the company
Cool. I'll grab it when I get home.
Well there's my answer, they know but there's no fix

Firmware does not update when you click on "update".
Both cable and wireless link are plugged in.
Multiple people on reddit are having the same issue. I already reinstalled the GG application but haven't tried doing a hardware reset since everyone on reddit says it does not work.

That sucks. My Arctis Pro doesn't suffer from that issue.. 😢
@timber ridge lmao i haven't built a board in forever and forgot which way the stab went twice
I havent built a board in so long
I have a friend who lubes and builds for me
i feel that
also i forgot how much stabs suck
also i thought i had more switches and only have greetech browns to build with lmaooo
you use clip ins right?
if you have bdz then theres no need to really tbh
i use cherry clip ins and tx for all my stuff
i just use dielectric and 205
bro i've had this vial of 205 for a solid 2 years and it still hasn't ran out just be done already
do you use 205 on your mx stuff ?
i used to but now i just use ghv4 for linears or tribosys for tactiles but i just have a friend lube
going to grab some ro59 for ergo clears so i'll have that too
got some KZ ZS10 pro's thanks to wolfgang
they sound so fantastic O_O i haven't used in ears in 5+ years, such a feeling
i feel like i'm cheating on my bose or smth
lol nice
107 kinda wacky ngl
huh gotta say this board isn't too bad for greetech browns
but one of the traces on the pcb is kinda messed up so that's not good
a lil bit of 107 was p nice on my broken n mx blacks
This is a pg server sir.
general purpose lube
205g0 is for lubing switches and such lol

mood
is it ok to use any type c cable for my hyperx solocast? the one that comes with it is really short and Im afraid that a different cable will mess up my mic
Why are Razer silent keys not silent?
They are just somewhat quieter than the greens.
because razer
I bought it because I like silent keyboards but nope.
The headset was good though.
After I take them off my ears still vibrate because of the hypersense.
I guess that will be the only thing I don't like about their keyabords.
I bought the loud one for my gf because she fell in love with that one out of all of them and so I got this one 2 months later.
keychron better for noise and everything tbh
they use gateron switches, some even has silent version
They didn't have that in micro center.
At least not on display
I also like the mouse click of the viper pro cyberpunk 2077 or whatever it's called
Ah, okay.
These keys are linear
blue is hella clicky and loud af
I thought it was red
red is linear for gateron
cherry
same for cherry
Healios, a silent linear switch made by ZealPC
1.95 for only one?!
wait
11.05
even worse
Nvm again.
11.05$ for 10
Not bad i guess
prob like boba u4
or bobagum
zeal switches are just expensive as heck
@timber ridge mat came in
Mine have been in LA in a while
But I don't really need it asap since I have one already
aech aech kay bee
yeah
also ngl these greetech browns are kinda good
the leaf is so bad that it makes a slight clicky noise which sounds really nice with the light tactility
mine stock felt kinda crunch
yeah the springs suck a lot
Best rgb tkl keyboard?

hey so im having a problem with my GPro x Superlight. Today it decided to not work. It took a moment of fiddling around to realize that the problem is with the wireless dongle since it works in wired mode. I've followed several youtube videos on the issue and I cant get my dongle to be recognized within the pairing software for logitech. So I am wondering what else I can do. I uninstalled the stuff for mouse and pointers and restarted the pc and that didnt work. I have also fully charged the mouse. I also have attempted seeing if it worked on another pc which it doesnt.
when you say dongle, of which part do you mean? as its broken up into 3 parts and have you tried testing just the receiver, the one that says "pro x" on it?
What is a comparable mouse to the Razer Deathadder Elite in your opinions?
Never played Mint copy of Home - Odyssey Orange Vinyl, bought this straight from the label at 2016?!, has been setting in a record protector sleeve since I got it, the album sleeve has a few small dents but the record has never been played and just setting in my collections all these years. What cpu are you using in your motherboard
amd
Doesn't matter, I had the disconnect issue in a X470. Just update your bios.
Oh ok thank you
Well got another problem, now the monitor doesn’t have signal
in terms of shape, just about anything with similar ergo shape; obv deathadder has a bit of a unique shape with its flairs and stuff but mice like the glorious model o, zowie ec series, maybe vaxee, etc
terms of pricing for what you get, not too much out there
from actual brands anyways
nvm I got everything fixed
@tight pulsar
is that a lz side profile?
ye
how's the bottom look?

i might make my version have reg weight

guys help
my keyboard is loud as hell
how / can I sound proof it
this is the one i bought
if you have clicky switches then buy a new keyboard
I have no idea what that means 😭😭
clicky, meaning they’re loud and clicky
switches are basically the thing below the key caps (the letters) that make inputs and stuff
yes
dm
@unborn wolf u got ur answer?
yeah thanks
Heyyy
hey! im looking for a white keyboard with white backlighting and red switches. should be low-mid range, roughly 50ish dollars. just need something that's functional and looks pretty. thanks!
I'm also looking for a matching white wireless mouse. same ~40-60$ price range.
thanks!
this looks great, but the backlight is a blueish color. do you know if they have it in white? no worries if not
Hey should I buy this while i can or wait for a better deal? I want these headsets since not many others fit my head
for referance, trend over time
up to you if you want to see if price will drop lower or not in the future or to see if that is included in Prime Day
my desktop icons keep moving to monitor #2. anyone know how to fix this? i'm not seeing anything in "display settings"
it's not even a big deal, just really annoying to turn on my computer and have everything on the right and not in front of me
nope. the icons are going to what is set as monitor #2
silly question: if you click on 2 is the box labeled "make this my main display" checked?
nope. #1 is main display

though late and prime day ends soon, believe keychron has a sale up to 30% off on their website and up to 20% off on amazon
Do keep in mind shipping from keychron expensive
Desk pad recommendations? I'm looking for something basically black, minimum branding
Example of sort of what I'm after, i was looking at the glorious stealth XXL earlier if that's a good indication of size and appearance, I have no idea if it's decent though
Oh yeah preferably soft. I'm not the biggest fan of hard desk pads i got rid of my last one almost immediately lol
Does anybody here know a lot about mice
I wanna buy a wireless mouse and I was gonna go with a Logitech mouse but I don’t really like how narrow they feel
Right now I like using a Redragon M801 Mammoth which is a really wide mouse
Is there any good wireless mice that is more on the wide side
I’d also like if it was light
I don’t care about absolute lightest mouse I just want something kinda light, wireless, and with a more wide shape for my hand
i’ve got this keyboard, looks like cherry brown switches, but i don’t have any tools to pull off the keys. Would it be alright for me to just pull them off with my fingers carefully? I need to clean the base part of the keyboard because it’s so filthy lol
That’s what the switch looks like
the keyboard is a really cheap one which i do not plan on using for gaming, just typing stuff
you can do it by hand
but a keycap puller is recommended
the metallic ones tho
plastic ones suck
i pull keycaps off switches without a puller when i'm lazy but a metal one is a lot easier and not really expensive
What is everyone's opinion on the best "budget" peripherals? I need to buy multiple sets for my gaming LAN rebuild so every penny counts. I'm talking specifically keyboards, mice, and headsets. (probably TKL keyboards)
Cheapest best peripherals….
Let me rephrase that. The best 'bang for your buck' peripherals from a subjective standpoint.
razer kraken x is probably the best headset for something like that, or just a normal kraken, could get g305 lightspeeds you'd need batteries though (mouse). Honestly any cheap keyboard would work id imagine.
id say the blackshark v2 over any of the krakens, if you really want to prioritize sound than koss porta pros
They won't get heavy usage. Just when I'm hosting LAN parties. I just need to try to save money where I can, but without getting total garbage. They'll get used weekly though I imagine. Sometimes a couple times a week
keychron also has some decent budget friendly keyboards
krakens suck
alot
horrible muddy audio
very heavy
very hot
decent mic $30

its a lan for cheap setup
feel free to give suggestions

youtubers arent always the best places to take advice
its a recording of a microphone. not a suggestion for a highend mic
if you wanna suggest iem's for a lan party setup go for it. earwax is def fun to clean
Mics aren't even relevant for a LAN setup
so you want headphones.
I'm sure there are tons more headsets than headphones out there right now. I'm saying the mic doesn't really matter since we're all in the same room.
as i said for a budget blackshark v2 is fine for under 50usd, if you don't care about looks koss kph30is or porta pros work and are open back so you can still hear in the room well
Okay a better question is how much are you willing to spend on each setup?
the issue with mics on krakens and really almost every razer mic i've heard myself so far is they have a notoriously hot input. even just listening to that sound demo the range sounds fine enough but I don't even have to listen for 30 seconds to hear a ridiculous amount of clipping
but in this situation mics are not even needed
@west hornet the $50 price point would be good, maybe $60. I have a couple higher end headsets I can use on the beefier rigs that might be used for streaming. I'm more worried about mice and keyboards than headsets
im not too knowledgeable in keyboard and mice but there are option like say a keychron k2 for ~70usd per and for mice the razer viper mini and logitech g203 and g305 all come around or under 30usd
razer viper mini is still $23 rn
orchi v2 is $50 sadly instead of $38 and the g305 is $30
steelseries sensei or something like that also around the $30
razer deathadder v2 mini is still $15 if you want even lower cost
any suggestions for decent light mice around $50? can go higher if quality goes up a good bit with the price
my hands medium sized, palm grip
2 thumb buttons would be nice
my kone pro decided to stop working and the cheap HP mouse i got is too heavy
edit: the cheap omen mouse was on clearance, and is now broken in addition to that
depending on how light you like, razer orochi v2, razer viper mini if youre willing to try a new grip as it is a smaller mouse, delux m800 seems to be a popular razer viper clone, hyperx pulsefire haste though on the kinda small side (not small like viper mini small but still kinda small), xtrfy mz1 (it has an interchangeable hump if needed though its meant for fingertip), endgame gear xm1r ($60), pulsar xlite ($80) @shadow bane
or just about any benq zowie mouse or vaxee
if you want wireless, fnatic bolt and ninjutsu origin one x you can take a look at ($90 and $80)
I'll take a look at some of those, thanks
Bought some displays, need to buy slightly bigger ones as they’re a bit of a tight fit but overall work. Orochi sits the most comfortably out of all of them
@glass bear and so continues the search of mice as pulsar announced a new mouse, the x2 wireless and x2 wireless mini
no visible holes, only under the mouse is there holes, being their X pattern
no specs yet though and it releases next month it seems
@pale cosmos viper mini, glorious model o-, razer orochi v2, viper ultimate and i have a g pro superlight im currently using
aerox 3 coming in next week and next month ill probably get the mouse above, x2 wireless mini
Ah you saw that
Yeah I couldn't see which one was on top
And I should know I own two vipers
I got the specs
one sec
2g lighter granted different shape
its 120 bnib on eBay
Being on an m800db I would like the viper shape better
well at least it would be more familiar
2g lighter and about $55 cheaper depending where you buy from
ill end up getting the x2 mini since ive decided to wait on the viper mini wireless instead of going for the viper v2 pro
I won’t notice the 2g and the sensor is going to be 3 years ahead of the industry again
The mini does seem nice though
imagine having a mouse display lmao
Any comfortable set of headphones that don't get hot cuz of trapped air and also for those that wear glasses? Budget is ~$150
headphones or headset
any
I use mmx 150 and really like them
so u dont need a mic
Great base, great mic quality
yeah mic or not, it doesn't really matter
ty I'll check it out
i wonder how IEMs are with glasses
the def dont get hot but idk if they might hurt the top of your ear
yeah actually, i might prefer over ear, IEMs are okay but I prefer to be able to be aware of my physical surroundings as well
so probs openback
Mmx 150 has a “pass though” mode that acts as open back. It works very well
tbh probs best off asking in a diff server who has more audio people
alright for sure, ty all!
not really bad
I find it annoying with iems that have a stiffer cable that goes over the ear
there are some openback hifiman cans that are around 150usd
I'm currently using a NZXT H 510 I want a better designed case what's a good one with good airflow
4000D airflow, p360a, g360a
Maybe 1 or 2 degrees worth, that's a mostly negligible thing
^
P400a digital, p500a digital, 5000d airflow are all good choices
Brand means nothing
Is this one good
Yes
Just get the airflow version
https://www.newegg.com/black-corsair-4000d-airflow-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811139156 this one is fine as well right
Yea
Sweet ty
you could consider getting 4000x for rgb version if you like the case
but you would need to buy the airflow panel separately then
4000x also comes with an extra van overall
*fan
the 4000d and 4000x are actually the same case
But is it better to buy the RGB considering the panel doesn't come with it
yeah
I mean all that's RGB is the fans that's it
Would buying the 5000D b e any better or naw since the case is just a bit bigger
Yeah I have no idea what to choose
Yeah I'm tired of my Nzxt case I hate the airflow it has
ah you already have fans then?
Yeah already have fans
4000d is perfect then
Sweet then don't need the 5000 one then
just cpu and gpu really
ah nice
yeah you dont need the 5000d then
unless its a 360m aio and you were planning to top mount it or something
Well i wanted
A rbg cpu cooler but
There made to brake
Like a water cooled one but my friend recommended me this one
did he tell you to get a freezer
3600 does not need an aio
Can you link the one you bought?
yeah i was gonna say
Buying a cheaply made aio never goes well
https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232920 also are these good sticks
hmm with b450 and
3600
i think they should be
you can probably save a bit though
unless you like how the ram looks
trident z is good ram then
And my graphics card is 2070 gigabyte
Not to sure if I should upgrade my graphics card yet
thank you very much
